This was a great cache! It was good to have a bit of a leg stretch to get to it instead of just being right next to the car. And yes, what a top old bridge this one is. A favourite for me
With dot558Was checking the new bridge until realised still had 90m to goLog is damp but signableThanjs for the smile

Found with Geo hubby while on our way to QOGM events. CunnamullaFella, thank you so much for placing it for everyone to enjoy and highlighting this area.
This cache took much longer than it should have, simply because I read the previous logs - my message to you is don’t do that!
Trust the very accurate coordinates and think where you would place a cache in case of flooding.
Having travelled this road many times before icybeetas has found ten along this road this morning that I’d previously found, but I really did want this one to have at least one find for the day.
So I was determined to find this one and find it I did, after going in all the wrong places first.
But I was very appreciative of icybeetas’ agility in obtaining the log and passing it to me to sign my name therein.
Thanks for the walk along the parched ground with little crevasses in it.
The area could do with a good drop of rain.

It was after an extensive search that this cache was found because initially I was given incorrect information about the potential location. Eventually the cache was discovered and logging duties performed so time to move on.
Something special or unusual goes here:Loved the old bridge and had a buzz with the electric fence that no between you and it. The Generic Bit:QOGM adventure - I was able to catch a ride with Muff1 who were heading to the QOGM event and team up for 3 weeks of caching adventures. 3 weeks in a swag - will my back hold out[?]Day 5 : Leaving from Barringun Roadhouse we made our way north to Wyandra Managed to pick up quite a few caches along the way with only 1 DNF. Although I had been busy solving many puzzles around Cunnamulla there was just too many to grab whilst just passing through. It's not Pokemon - you can't catch them all. Looks like I will have to come back soon. **SAs Leap Year Event GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. - BOING*****Thanks CunnamullaFella for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Logs prepared and published through GSAK.

Found during our Queensland Outback GeoMuster (QOGM) 2023 Longreach Adventure - a 33 day epic tour of Northern NSW and Outback Queensland finding many caches, attending great evets and catching up with awesome Cachers along the way.Queensland Outback GeoMuster (QOGM) 2023 Longreach Adventure Day 2. Well the trip was underway. I have never been to a QOGM before, and since this was the last one I decided to head up there for the fun. After overnighting at the Sandy Creek Rest Area (Free Camp) we continued north up the Mitchell Highway collecting Adventure Labs and caches. This was the next cache of the day, and I felt the trip was definitely on its way now we were in QLD. Quick find once at GZ, and the walk out was adventurous ! Signed the log, usually as F65, replaced the cache as found, then we continued on our journey. Thanks CunnamullaFella !! Checked on my GCA cache on the new bridge - all good !
Freddo and Team Waldron headed to warmer climes around Broken Hill, Cobar, Bourke, Cunnamulla
and Charleville.
After a cold start in Broken Hill the weather improved once we got further north. Sadly our last night in Broken was wet which, pardon the pun, put a dampener on things.
All up it was a great week away and lots of caches were found with only 3 dnfs.
Thanks to all who placed and maintained their caches. The occasional cache was damaged and we refurbished it and we also left new logbooks as required.

Great Northern escape 2022 Day 173. Cunnamulla to South of Bourke. The end of the main part of my trip has come and now I have four days of driving to Adelaide. Not only that, but the first three have no caching targets. It was a straight forward drive with a few stops to cache and eat along the way.
Two not so simple roadside stops, with slightly longer walks than expected.

Day 4 of the Munna Culla Snack Ninjas comeback tour…
Last year everyone raved about the tame emu at the ghost town… that and the bevy of emergency services personnel keeping us safe from the walking dead south of the border… so we’ve packed extra snacks just in case the emu and the armed forces are still about…
We followed the car tracks down to this cache…On foot though, as I keep being reminded, the Santi Fey is not a 4WD… I did the honours, and then proceeded to whack myself in the head while walking out…
Tftc… an interesting bit of forgotten infrastructure…

We have been making our way to the QOGM event that is going to be held in September. We left home in May and have meandered our way around the country getting closer and closer to Charleville. We arrived in Cunnamulla this afternoon and once the caravan was set up we headed out to find some of the many caches that have been placed in the area by the QOGM team and many others.

We had planned a road trip to Queensland to visit family in 2021, but our travel plans were stalled due to border closures during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that the world was trying to get back to a semi normal state, we decided to have another go at getting away from the cold and head up north for some sunshine and warmth. Day 3 of our trip saw us tackle Bourke and cross the border to Cunnamulla for the Paroo puzzles. Again the wildlife showed themselves, some a bit too close for comfort. The roads for the trails were all in good condition which made the driving between them bearable and an enjoyable day in the red dirt.
Our apologies for the generic log, but thank you to all the cache owners for the placements.

GT37 and I decided that our return to Victoria was already well gone so we might as well do some caches on the eventual way home. Again, we have no idea what the notes mean, we can only hope nobody wants a PAF on this one. A little slick around here at the moment. Thanks for placing this cache for us to find.
There was another stunning gnarly old tree to be found here. Hate to think how many photos I have taken. Thanks for the cache.

Found during a road trip via Wentworth, Menindie Lakes, Wilcannia, Cobar, Bourke, Cunammulla and Yowah to Charleville and back over 10 days, camping out at some great spots along the way. Spent the morning caching around Bourke before heading northwards. Thanks for the cache CunnamullaFella!
**This Cache:**
Excellent cache and a fantastic location. Probably the best spot along this highway to stop! Tree climbs are some of my favourite cache hides, as well as forgotten / abandoned locations. So this is definitely one of my top finds for the day. A big favourite point from me! Thanks for bringing me here, cache was also in great condition!

Day 2 of my road trip heading towards Townsville in NQ!
Left my campsite in Albert, NSW nice and early once the sun was up and started my drive.
Made a huge amount of progress today, 22 caches found and drove all the way to Wyandra, QLD!
My favourite part of the day would have to be kayaking on a river in Cunnamulla, which meant I got to my campsite after dark once again but was so worth it!
The campsite was awesome, with free showers, camp kitchen and only a couple other people around! Highly recommend the free camp in Wyandra!

Found as I made my way up to the Townsville Mega from Adelaide.
I camped last night on the other side of Cobar then, after a visit to the Cobar bakery for a good early-morning coffee, I headed up to Bourke to catch up with FeatherWaite who had travelled a different way. Together we then cached up the highway and around the Paroo Pictures series before setting up camp near Charlotte Plains.
It had been a very pleasant day, albeit a little on the warm side, but late in the afternoon, the rain set in. Fortunately it wasn’t too heavy, but it did persist fairly steadily until dinner time before clearing overnight.
All of the caches, including this one were found without difficulty and were in good condition.
Thanks CunnamullaFella for the cache.

We continued our caching fun on a run with ilook4geo which took us on a drive of quite a distance. There were a few traditional cache but mostly we were picking up the jigsaw puzzles that we had solved. It was not a complete run, but there were enough found to get a fairly good total for the day.
Some of the road was still very boggy after the recent rain and walking around those areas was sometimes difficult. Other parts of the route were quite dry.
Each log found was stamped with both names and was replaced before we continued the hunt.
Thanks go to CunnamullaFella for placing this cache.

Had a good hunt today with goingplaces2 and this was one of the caches we found. Log was signed and all was replaced. Job done! Time to move on to the next one. TFTC.
I was a bit wary about this cache due to my acrophobia. I have been working on it since I began geocaching and, on a good day, can make a small climb. I decided to check out how high I would have to climb or whether to walk away. Today must be a good day because I was able to make the climb (easy for some) and add my name to the log. TFTC
***COs- I'm trying to catch up on a massive logging backlog stretching back a number of years. It started out as a series of unfortunate events and went from there. It's been a bit of a haphazard job depending on which SD card is in the phone and a few other factors. *I'm logging your cache on the date I actually visited it.* Apologies for the late log.******************************************Doing a solo run to the border to pick up the caches along this road while attending QOGM 2021. Happy this was doable on my own so leaving a favourite point for that and that I can just about pronounce the name of the bridge!????I have discovered that there is a hobby whereby people research old road alignments and see how far they can travel down them, there's even been at least one book published on the subject with detailed accounts of the journey. I'd only be into it if there was a geocache somewhere along it!??TFTC??
Started looking in the wrong spot because I forgot to check the attributes first. Once I spotted the cache, I realized that I was correct in my assumption that I would have to go get it. Put La Kedi on the case instead she needed a guide from the ground. Made sure to admire the bridge before returning to the car. TFTC CunnamullaFella
While it’s not a difficult tree climb by any stretch of the imagination, I would have thought it’s a little harder than a terrain 1.5! We had parked by the side of the main road, and walked along the dry creek bank, with the ground crumbling away underfoot into what appeared to be rabbit burrows everywhere. Once we reached the old bridge, we didn’t take long to spot the container which was hanging out for a visitor, so we obliged it. Found while visiting Paroo Shire for the Queensland Outback Geocaching Muster 2021, with DisSister and Dragonsky. Thanks for hiding and maintaining this cache for us to find and TFTC, CunnamullaFella. =^.^=

Home from Cunnamulla's QOGM which was an awesome experience. Met so many new people and there were lots of laughs every day. Each day we drove at least 100km each way in all sorts of directions, so now that I am home I am unsure which cache is which and which day was which. But I do know that I had a lot of fun finding every single cache in this area. Heaps of appreciation to all the COs involved.
After a morning paddle and then the CITO, our team decided to attack the Jigsaw puzzle series of caches and a few leading to and from the series. For me this was a great time as I got to see some of the pics I had solved and a drive around the countryside. I enjoy driving and today was just another special day, thank you.
We had big laughs all day on the route, we saw emus and chicks, a snake, a goanna, some goats, birds and even brought home a lost lamb; what a crazy day. We did a drive down to the boarder, got a cache and fed an emu by hand.
With a new stamper acquired for the QOGM event, I was excited to get my mark in as many caches as possible. I got to brand a lot of logs, lol, even though we had a team name I still stamped away and left my mark in most of the logs.
Thank you for a fun event and this series. Sorry for the generic post on these.

Onto the puzzle trail, with a few trads to clean up the roads! Our convey was assembled during the CITO we just had to come up with a good team name, something catchy . Consisting of myself, Orange Crew, Willis007, Triple Turmoil, chamad, E:), Snickersallen and Domsky. It was a lot of fun to travel the roads together, which was good in this remote places where there is no phone coverage. We had a ball finding caches, finding a lamb, dodging a snake, avoiding the running wild goats and seeing emu chicks. All the caches were found in great order and coordinates totally on point. Some tricky hides still to keep it fun. Thanks to E:) for the midpoint snack munchies.
Visiting Cunnamulla and surrounding districts for the QOGM events and the abundant variety and volume of caches placed. We're enjoying the cool clear weather and unique outback geology, flora and fauna encounters, and historical places of interest along the way.

Yippee! We’re in Cunnamulla.
Cunnamulla has turned on a treat for us through the hard work of RoddyC and Hatzofff.
We are so happy to have been able to attend this QOGM event. So beautifully planned. Lots of friends to catch up with. Many adventures along the way.
We are grateful to the local communities for hosting us, and welcoming us into their small towns. We have enjoyed their hospitality, their food, their conversation and the beautiful locations that are a part of this big country.

Thanks
Domsky
Looks like the old bridge must get flooded from time to time. Thanks for the cache
A family of trolls has taken up residence under the Brass Bridge. Which under normal circumstances would be totally fine. But when it’s that time of year when farmers from the plains bring their goats to the markets, we’ll, Colon and Nobby have been trying to work out how we get them across the bridges.
In town for QOGM and today we are travelling south to the border then attacking the Paroo Puzzle caches.
A quick find. SL then returned as found. Log signed as Team TIP (TMZ59, Imbunda and patrol14)
What a quaint old bridge.

Today we decided to go to the furtherest cache south and work backwards just in case we didn't finish the trail in one go.
We were caching as Team TIP ie TMZ59, Imbunda and Patrol14. Found cache, signed the log and one of us replaced it as found before heading north to collect the few odd caches plus the Picture Trail. TFTC

Our first day of caching in Cunnamulla and a very successful one at that. No DNF’s!! The co ords we’re all very accurate and the caches all in good order. Thanks sooooo much CunnamullaFella for all the effort in placing these caches for our enjoyment. Much appreciated.
TFTC. Camped in Cunnamulla for QOGM21. We headed out mid morning with Liz and. ruce to fins the caches on the road between he NSW Border and Cunnamulla. We did not need to venture to the border as the cache there had been found by both teams on previous visits in the area. A great morning finding these caches.
Great looking old bridge. A FP for the location

Following our Flash Mob this morning, we ventured out towards the NSW border, (But not too close) picking up the remaining caches not previously found. Lovely cool afternoon, with NSW throwing in some rain as we got close to the border.
Snuck behind the check point and grabbed it, back in the car and back to QLD proper, it even got 4degs warmer the further we got away from the border. Got to love QLD.

Love caching in the country, landscapes, wildflowers, hot springs, outback ‘architecture’, bevy’s with locals in wonderful old pubs, the creative sculptures and even the kamikaze wildlife. So we might have driven across the bridge to get closer to the cache location. Yet to spot a camel in the wild, but how cute are emu chicks ??. Found with geopartner Wollaston. Hi there CunnamullaFella.
We found your cache **"Old Thurrulgoonia Bridge"** today.
We're full time grey nomads, currently avoiding COVID hot spots. We have arrived in Cunnamulla prior to attending QOGM. We had a great day today and found 13 caches (and DNF'd 0) in a variety of container types and sizes.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache near where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log are in good shape.(We did wonder about the D/T rating though).

Grabbed with SeasonedBird along our travels in this great country on route to QOGM. Made the dash down to the border and back to Cunnamulla after completing the puzzle series. Thinking the terrain gauge is a little of the mark for this one. TFTC CunnamullaFella.
Made my way accross som cracked dirt hopenot to fall into one and never be seen of again then risedlife and linb to get the cache form it hide. But I managed to get my hands on the obect of my desire. Then I had to make the perilious journey bac to the car. Luckily I survived to write this log. TFTC.
Another find to break our journey on our way north. We’ve got our green travel declarations with us, so we’re safe! A short walk to this one. We see what you mean about the bridge. We have come across a number that started life as dual carriageways, but ended up single lanes over the years. We reckon that some of them would be a bit decrepit to carry 2 vehicles at a time anyway. This concrete bridge looks quite solid, but it is quite narrow. A short walk followed by a bit of a look before we could sign the log.
It was time to move on again, so today we continued to head north towards Charleville. It was a drive through long sweeping plains with lots of scrub and occasional pastoral areas. It was broken up with stops for caches, all of which had some point, highlighting a feature, but it was hard sometimes for us Victorians to recognise them. Still an enjoyable day.
Thank you to the local COs for their efforts in establishing and maintaining the caches. Great to have the opportunity to find some on our travels.
