Thanks for the cache BettyBoo3747! I had to clean up a lot of spider webs here.

Beautiful spot good find once we explored a bit more thoroughly

I spotted, Daddy Long Legs retrieved. Tftc

23-Jun-24
What a beautiful winters day to be out riding our pushbikes along the path and picking up some caches along the way. This would be a lovely spot in summer to come and have a swim.

16-Jun-24
Out for a morning walk with a friend (not a geocacher but hoping for a convert by the end of the day ) and a spot of geocaching. Walked straight from Britton Lane to Osborne's Flat Road turned around and returned picking up caches along the way. This was number four for the day (as we started with Pastoral View). Almost gave up on this one but then Mtn Ranger 1 spotted it. A great walk on a lovely winter's day.

18-May-24
Its true I did hear water while walking through here. With the several large bridges, someone really put some work time money and effort creating this wide well graded path to literally nowhere. Im convinced there's additional plans of connecting it to elsewhere, but im yet to explore by bike to expedite the search. Thanks for another fun cache in the yack track trail!

Staying in Beechworth for a geocaching holiday this week. Us seniors managed to cycle this track this morning, taking 2.5 hours. A beaut day, weatherwise. A very pleasant cycle - quiet, scenic, fairly easy to cycle, and 17 caches to find! We had a great morning. Thank you very much BettyBoo3747

What a lovely spot. Got down to the right area and soon spotted.Off in another adventure with Kittykatch. Enjoyed our stay at Beechworth with the bikes but heading home today via Yakendandah. Day 4 Thanks for getting me out and about BettyBoo3747

19-Oct-23
Perfect weather to be out and so headed down to Yackandandah to the Rail Trail here.Parked at the Mongan Lane way point and proceeded out on foot, covering track in either direction.Last find on this upper section of the trail, before I arrived back at my conveyance and then headed towards Yack.Amazing location for a hide here, and I stood on the rocks down near the creek for a bit, before trying to source the cache. Water flowing well, and it's very distracting and soothing to watch and just relax.SL at 3.15pm. Very nearly had a disastrous attempt at replacing the hide, which might of meant a sheepish call to the CO but all ok.A favourite point here for this one. TFTC BettyBoo3747.

In the Beechworth area to pick up a few caches for the day.

Trying out the new e-bike, and found this trail a little harder than expected.
Some hides were a little tough, but our name is now on the log.
All of them deserve a favourite point, for getting us out and about.
Many thanks for placing this cache, BettyBoo3747, for us and others to find.

Brought the bikes for another great ride on this track and called at a few caches to see how they were going. Took quite a while to locate this one as it was not where it should have been. It has now been moved back to the correct place and all is good with the hide.

18-Sep-22
Mmmmm potato gems. Had to be careful finding this one - the water was really flowing.

31-Aug-22
Finally found it!

30-Aug-22
Day off today so decided to grab the bike and head to Yakandandah for the day. My main aim for the day was to complete the ''Yak Track'' series. I wasn't sure how successful I was going to be due to the amount of rain and flooding at the moment, however happy to say I completed the whole series some were quite tricky due to water levels.

Can certainly hear the water today. Tftc!

Stayed over in Wangaratta for a few extra days to relax and I’m out for a mornings bike ride with my gracious host, the CO’s of the magnificent Yack Trail.
Almost dropped the prize into the drink here, luckily it stopped one ledge short of the fast flowing stream.
**Thanks for placing this cache BettyBoo3747**

Found on a lovely walk/ride with the family, the kids took turns finding these great hides!

22-Aug-21
So much water today. Quick find. No desire to sit on a couch on a nice day so headed to lower altitudes and discovered this hugely interesting and amazing Yack track. I’d imagined wet singles track and deep puddles so was in for a surprise. Those bridges are quite an expensive part of the project. TFTC and the fun.

Now found after maintenance by CO. Great picnic chair on other side. Tftc

22-Jun-21
Very lucky find here. Kids had found it and not put it back magnetically. It had fallen into a large puddle of water on the rocks but fortunately had not continued its tumble into the water below. Dried out and all good here. Left a Wangaratta Mega card.

Thanks heaps for this series of caches BettyBoo, I thought after the recent rains i would come down here and tackle these caches while the water level is up pretty high. And wasn't disappointed. Didn't find any snakes today, but loads of biting ants which weren't all that fun!.

All caches in the series were in good condition unless otherwise stated, Sorry about the generic logs.

What a fantastic hidden gem. We had a lovely wander with lots of stops to mess about in the river. Thanks for a great series.

As a member of TeamOZCAT logged in this cache, I am now logging as an individual predominantly to avoid any mistaken/unnecessary revisitation.
Under groundspeak guidelines, this logging is acceptable as I was indeed at Cache GZ in person in recent times. However, all cache owners have the right to delete logs as they see fit. Usually done to "Armchair loggers" or inappropriate texting.

If any cache Owner/s have questions regarding this matter, please feel free to contact.

TeamOZCAT logged finds when both Karen and Reg logged as individuals. This logging is exactly the same, only in reverse. Again, groundspeak acceptable.
For an unspecified period of time TeamOZCAT are no longer cache searching but remain active in our cache management and maintenance.

I sincerely thank all CO's and wish you all the best in your endeavours. Cheers Karen

Got you this time. We were out here not long ago and found all the others in the series, but this one was out of action when we came through, taking in the view and basking in the ambience. Glad to have waited till now to grab it anyway as we scored a BB Pathtag. Beautiful spot, great company, good mix of caches. What else could you ask for?

14-Nov-20
Pleasant Saturday afternoon out walking with Hexograb and the geopooches. Great to see some new caches along the Yack rail trail that we have finally come out and found them walking the one way, with a car shuffle to finish. Lots of weeds, some long grasses areas, only saw one snake, and several people along the way enjoying a stroll too. Wasn't as busy as first expect with the huge amounts of cars at the parking spot- must have used the parking for another function. Really enjoyed the walk, fresh air, flowing river as well as the caching. TFTCs BB. Lovely hearing the water flowing, another drink break for the pooches.

Out with the Haveanez crew enjoying our morning collecting this series. Quick find & sign of the new log book. Spectacular bit of infrastructure here! We enjoyed the sounds of water at every cache along this trail. Thanks BB.

07-Nov-20
Out and about with the Wackyweedos crew today on the bikes to collect this ripper series of caches.
A cool spot here that the geokids all enjoyed exploring whilst the cache was located. With the 1.5 terrain it wasn’t quite where we expected, none the less located safe and dry. Took some happy snaps of the crew enjoying this spot and headed for the next.
The men were suppose to be meeting us along the track, however they did joke about going to the pub and not riding to find us...... we were starting to think it wasn’t a joke

03-Nov-20
Had a very pleasant Melbourne Cup morning ride along the trail checking quite a few of the caches and fixing this one. Did a complete swap-over of the cache and saturated log book. All good here.

Fixed.

Putting this one out of action until I can fix the container and leave a new log book.

#4261 Nice day to get out and about again and this new trail of caches was on our hit list. Mr BGF on foot with the geohounds and Mrs BGF rode the treadly so she could ride back to retrieve the car when we got to the end of the trail.

We spotted the cache on arrival, upsidedown in a puddle of water, obviously dislodged from its intended hidey spot. We drained the water out but the log is soaking wet. We didn't bring our kit today so we didn't have any spares, sorry! How it didn't end up in the creek was a miracle! Managed to stamp the paper and put it back in a better spot, but will need CO attention. TFTC BB.

Out for a little stroll after a day at pony club. Beautiful way to end the day

17-Oct-20
Decided to head a cross the river and pick up a few caches - avoided the worst of the rain and the dog (eventually) got a good walk. Finished up on the Yack Track collecting the ones I didn't sign last visit. Parked in the same spot and headed the other direction.
Nice bridge here - knew where the cache would be but looked, looked on the other side and then back to the first and looked a bit harder and there the cache was. All good inside on this occasion.

Pretending to enjoy the view (well okay, actually enjoying the view) was a good way to pass off why we stopped on the bridge on the opposite side to some muggles! R from Beavar got this one and found it a bit wet. TFTC.

11-Oct-20
We had planned a trip with Beavar (our daughter and family) along this Track this weekend. So we set out on foot, having left a vehicle at Britton Lane and the other at Morgan Lane, so we only had to walk one way! A lovely track dotted with apple trees in blossom, lavender, running water, bulbine lilies, native grasses, plenty of cape weed and dandelions and wonderful scenery. We had to use a bit of stealth here as there was a couple sitting on the rocks on the opposite side of the bridge. Renee from Beavar made the find here and we discovered that the container was damp inside. We dried everything thing off and SL at 2.27pm (the log book was dry in its zip lock bag). We took quite a few photos of the moving water here. #7146 TFTC BB

A caching day planned with Wright_stuff and Done_wright. Parked a car at each end walked with Mrs Wright, whilst Done_wright and geokid 3 rode the trail. Approx 7kms from start to finish. I really enjoyed this end of the track, the race with the water flowing, baby sheep in the nearby property and the baby pigs a little further along.
Cache had fallen and was wet. log dry tho. Have reattached.
Thanks Betty Boo for enticing us to the area.
A fav for the series

Well I needed to get the rest of the series so headed out with my two geo girls to get a few more smiley's. After spotting the CO and friends at the start of the track we headed on our way and found a few more of the caches.
Lovely spot just to walk and enjoy the sounds

Saved this one for the return journey due to a muggle infestation. Another spectacularly over engineered bridge. Should outlast all and any potential disasters.
Thanks for the series BB

The 10km a day for September challenge is coming to a conclusion this week and I’ve been looking for things to entertain me rather than just walking or running the streets near home.
I saw this series pop up the other day and figured I’d get around to it eventually but wasn’t sure when. I was giving Em a child free day today after daughter number one was shipped off to her grandparents. Me and Natalie were looking for something to do and I remembered this trail. We parked at the Britton lane end of the track and walked all the way through collecting caches. Only one gave us grief but this was rectified on the return journey after a chance encounter with the CO.
All up (including a bit of a chat on the trail) the trip took us just under 3.5 hours but it didn’t feel like that in the amazing Spring weather we were out in.
This is a great trail so thank you for placing caches to entice us here BB

Quick find. Lovely sounds of water cascading over the rocks.

Time to hit the deadly treadlies along the new section of the Beechworth to Yack Rail Trail.
We were betting that a train never followed this track, but it is a lovely ride all the same.
Howjen567, BettyBoo3747 and I rode the trails after a pie from Yack, and had lunch near Loo With A View (a great picnic ground)
A lovely blue skied day perfect for riding.

This one we had to bypass on our way out as there was a bad muggle infestation here.
On the way back the coast was clear, and Howjen567 soon had the cache in hand.
A lovely spot and a very impressive bridge installed here.
Thanks for this great ride and interesting series.
Thanks, Robmc.

FTF woo hoo. As a regular user of this trail and someone who was involved in surveying of the bridge sites it was great to see a bunch of new caches appear along this trail. Thanks BettyBoo. When I checked my emails and there was a new listing in Yack I had to take a break from my current project and duck out for half an hour. I grabbed the mountain bike and geohound (she loves this trail) and headed to Osbornes Flat Hall parking area.
When I arrived at the bride there was a family enjoying watching the steam so I decided to ride on to the next cache and get this on on the way back so I headed towards Yack and found some more up to the Piggery. TFTC
