I'd done the main wanderings on some previous passing visits. Returned with MummyPenny today for the find.
Another lovely park and garden in Christchurch to explore.Found easily and signed with Baktrak. Thanks Troodles
After being in Dunedin for the mega i went up to Chch for several days and made sure i visited the final lab site at the bathe house which i missed somehow last visit so now i was armed with the correct numbers for the bonus that was here. The hint made short work of the searching which was good as quite a few muggles were around at the time All was well here and i took nothing and left nothing .Thank you for this cache .
This is a lovely location that I have visited before to cache and to letterbox (before I became a geocacher). The information required to determine the whereabouts of this cache was acquired without difficulty but I was a bit unsure that I was going to be able to retrieve the cache as there were plenty of people about. However, there was a window of opportunity when only one other person was close by and I managed to easily complete my mission.
Stopped at this cache while visiting **New Zealand**! Very cool hiding spot. Managed to be pretty inconspicuous amount the drives of people. Thanks
Walked around monavale today and collected the adventure lab info, finished that then went and found the geocache, easy! TFTC
Tried for this one a while ago but without success. Maybe missing or maybe too muggly. Quick find today. Tftc and adv lab
**Day**Doing a tour in and around Christchurch by bike. Nice and easy going on the flat terrain. Just had the webcam cache as main target and doing a lot of tradies and labs along the way. After a while the idea came to make this my day with the most different cache types found. Unfortunately I could not see an event for today but other than that I found: tradie, multi, mystery, lab, webcam, virtual, letterbox, wherigo and earth. That smashed my previous record of 6 and set the new record to 9, very nice! Thanks to all CO's for a lovely day of caching!**Cache**Beautiful place, one of the many gardens in the garden city, that name makes complete sense. Also saw a lot of Japanese tourists here, probably listed in their tourist guide of Christchurch.
About this cache:bellissima scoperta questo parco !!!! Tenuto molto bene e non affollato ma noi siamo molto mattinieri hihihi. Thanks Owner
I really enjoyed my wander round the gardens finding the labs on a gorgeous day back in March but I couldn't find the newly replaced cache. So back today for another go. Instant find - no idea why I couldn't see it last time but anyway a good excuse to come back for another wander. TFTC $ 20,713
It was missing (again), so replaced. Not sure if I will replace again as it seems to go AWOL on a regular basis.
Really enjoyed the AL and final co-ords fitted the hint, but no joy here today. Tried a bit wider and on the ground in case, but couldn't find anything resembling a cache. Looks like a good spot for one though.
Out for a walk with mum today and suggested Mona Vale because of the caches here. Did the Adlab too since she likes those, much more interesting than watching me scrabble around in bushes. Loved all the info, and then the final was a nice quick find. Tftc!
A nice quick find here today after visiting GZ recently when the cache was missing.
Thanks for the replacement.
A nice place to stop on my way home from work on this lovely warm, sunny afternoon.
I have taken the TB to move on in the coming week.
Thanks for the fun AdLab and neat hide Bonus cache

An unplanned visit to the beautiful Mona Vale Gardens on a pleasant Saturday morning. Didn't take too long to complete the interesting Adventure Lab and find this bonus. Found exactly as advertised in the hint. TFTC.
I really enjoyed my wander round Mona Vale this morning. My favourite was the bath house. Some big celebration on at the cafe too. I didn't spot the cache - not my day today with more DNFs than finds. I see that this was recently replaced so its very likely to be me not looking sufficiently.
enjoyed the adventure lab walk, but couldn’t find at what I thought were the coordinates. Will have to try again
This is my fourth geocaching excursion to **beautiful New Zealand**!
This time it's a road trip enduring for 26 days, covering both North- and South-Island.
The last destination of the journey is reached now : Christchurch .
Welcomed me with absolutely sh...y weather [xx(] today [B)].
So the plans (carefully worked out in detail before the trip ) had to be changed completely .
Means: Only easy caches and andventure-labs - not too far to drive...
Didn't help [:(!]: I got wet-wet-wet [B)]!
Nevermind !
This geo-treasure contributed to the finds of today. Cool! [^]
A big thanks to the owner Troodles [:X] for the cool adventure and this bonus-cache [^] - and best regards from Germany !

I had a lovely time wandering around Mona Vale, completing the AdLab today while on an outing with my partner.
Sadly, we searched and searched at GZ- even expanding our hunt significantly to include all of the "under" (not just the hint area and coords) to no avail.
Reading previous logs it seemed like it should be a fairly easy find, and upon arriving home and confirming with previous finder Snugpup, I'm fairly certain the cache is missing
There's always a chance I'm wrong, but it's rare that both myself and GWR would miss it...

Nice spot. Girls were having a picnic nearby. Originally I had the coordinates wrong because I thought you wanted us to do a multiplication problem. Greetings from New Hampshire, USA!
I completed the Ad Lab quite some time ago but never got around to finding the bonus cache until today. Took me a little while to work out the best way to approach it. Once in position it didn't take too long to find it. Thanks for the fun and TFTC, Biggles.
Came for a bit of a walk to stretch the legs after sitting on my backside most of the day. Came for another walk through here, and collect this bonus after doing only AdLab points for the labrynth challenge. Cache quickly found after waiting for a few muggles to pass by... not that they would have known what I was up to, but I've always been big on attracting any attention.
Thanks Troodles! #3734

Today we biked from our rental in Hillmorton to thd University, then to Hagley Park, then back home. Only got slightly lost 3 times. Rain started when we crossed the railway line, so it was nice to have a dry spot to listen for Redfang. Offers rejected yet again, we cruised through to Mona Vale - where it stopped raining!- then Hagley Park and back via half a Wamble at Nodding. Loved the road crossing diamonds! Now we've found the way, what a fast route to the central city!
This garden was our "destination cache" for the ride. Absolutely magnificent! The head gardener told us the bathhouse had won an award for its restoration... just before the earthquake...! And a great deal more about the history of the property and the politics from Maori times to post-quake. A key site at the junction of three rivers. And a lot about Annie Townend - she was the daughter of "Scabby" Moore!
https://christchurchcitylibraries.com/heritage/publications/unsungheroines/anniequayletownend/
We told the gardener about the adlab app and left him looking it up. He had assumed people following phones around were playing pokemon - now he knows better.
After seeing the photos of the house post-quake, it's a delight to be there now. Oh, the cache? Mrs D got muddy, you'll be delighted to hear, even though she didn't need to...
Wonderful information that enhanced our visit - perfect adlab thank you.

I found this cache after the Labcaches Thank you for the experience Greetings from Germany
Lots of visitors to Mona Vale today, however, timed my approach and made use of the cover at GZ; TFTC
Completed the AdLab and sorted the final bonus after attending the Chch Wine and Food Festival. Love the Mona Vale location. TFTC Troodles
Nice easy find today, not too many billy goats today. Thanks for the ad lab and bonus. TFTC
Enjoyed both adventure lab and cache. Did the Ad lab on a busy Sunday, saved the cache for a quiet day today. So peaceful and beautiful here. Thanks!
Yay! Four puzzles in a day and I’m exhausted but it was worth it. I love Mona Vale. Tftc.
Thanks for the cache. Fun little adventure and wonderful to walk around and see this special place.
After completing the Adventure Lab cache here, I sat down on a convenient seat to workout the final coordinates and the cache turned out to be less than thirty metres away. Good accurate coordinates enabled a very quick find. I haven’t visited this park for over fifteen years so it was interesting to come back and see what had changed. Signed log, TFTC!
I completed the ALC when I was down in Christchurch in February 2021 but didn't have time to work out the final or to pick it up. I'm currently back in Christchurch for about a week and have had the opportunity to pick it up this time around! Geocaching down here with my brother, tbird53. I had to ask for assistance from him for this one - I really can't figure out why I didn't look in the correct spot - as he had previously found it. TFTC and the ALC
A sunny Good Friday was the perfect day for walking around Mona Vale Gardens and none of us could believe that we had never been here before. Near the entranceway near the fernery was an amazing tree with the most wonderful bark which would make a fantastic Jigidi puzzle. Also right there was a folly made of stained glass which we found very impressive!
The fernery was blocked off from all directions but the lab cache CO had noted this and we were able to put in the answer required once we got close enough on the road outside. Beeba was surprised that the bathhouse had nothing in it and said she would have it full of plants!.
It was great to see people sitting and walking around the park enjoying the river, gardens and the overall atmosphere. There were some lovely houses and gardens on the other side of the river too. After we collected all the numbers we walked back towards the car until we reached the bonus coordinates and M found the cache easily with a nice specific hint.
A favourite point for this cache and we will return to enjoy the park again!! So many wonderful trees just starting to change to their autumn colours.

I did the adventure lab a while back, but ran out of time for the bonus cache. Today this was on our travels from other engagements so we decided to pop in.
In the end, made a bit of a meal of the approach. Found ourselves a couple of dozen or so metres away but on totally the wrong path. In the end took a bit of a cross country route to get to the container, then spent a few minutes looking for it until I realised I had gone in a bit far. Good fun in the end though, and another ticked off.
I enjoyed the walk through here, it is a fabulous spot and a great asset to the people of Christchurch. Was certainly very busy today. TFTC Troodles.

A beautiful location, I'd love to come back & explore this another time
An adventure for RNZ to get this one as we ended up on the wrong side of the tracks!!

It was time to head into town to do a couple of AdLabs and their bonuses plus any other caches might get in the way.
I gathered all the required info by walking around these beautiful gardens. One area was inaccessible but a message to the CO fixed that.
Cheers for the cache.

Heading towards the last Summit challenge. After the meander I headed to find the final. Have my knee a work out getting back up from go but I made it. Thanks for placing this and doing the Ad Lab.
What a delightful way to start the morning, such a peaceful wander in a lovely garden. The weather was not as wonderful as it could have been so there were not many people around. We passed a couple of gardeners doing a great job as we wandered along to the gate house.
As we wandered back towards looking for this cache the gardeners packed up and walked along behind us. So we stopped and had a look at the huge piles of greenery that had been pulled from the creek, they told us that it was last done in September. We just looked at the creek and waited for them to move on before we continued on and went to look for this cache.
It was in the first place gk looked, I wish I had of remembered to take the trackables I am carrying around in my purse with me as I could have left one here.
Thanks for the lab cache, the bonus cache and the smiley

I'm so proud of me today, it was a rough day and my 1st real day alone. I treated my a drink for my walk & planned to atleast achieve the adventure lab. But it keep crashing. However I enjoyed the nature of the Gardens & still managed to find another cache.
And just as I was heading home it started working, so I managed The Lab, the extra & the bonus plus it had a trackable, which I'll move on. This made my day. TFTC

Did the adventure lab ages ago. Didn't get the final last time because of muggles. This time no one around.TFTC
Thoroughly enjoyed completing the adventure cache in January as I got to see more of this wonderful place. Much, much cooler to day than the .

#10,225. Infoferret and I have been on a week long road trip around the top of the South Island doing caches in Canterbury and the West Coast. This replaced the trip we had planned up north to attend the Auckland Mega Event over Labour weekend. After it was postponed we headed south instead. Its been a fun trip but today is the last day. We are picking up some geotour caches over this side of town and any other nearby caches that take our fancy, plus some adventure labs.
Getting towards the end of the trip now. After finishing some adventure labs in the city the light rain started to get heavier so we decided to make our way towards the airport. I got in a left turning lane by accident and as we were in rush hour traffic at this stage decided to go around the block and find the final for this adventure lab. Wandered to GZ in the light rain and IF used her height to our advantage here by tucking in to grab the cache. Signed and replaced where found. Thanks Troodles for hiding the bonus cache here. Its a place I know every well as my sister lives only 200m from here.

26 October 2021 16:30. Last find of the week, it's spitting on with rain, so decided to head to the airport after this- a complete counter to when I completed the AL a few months ago on a stinking hot day! TFTC. Number 10341.
Ha, I see the CO has just solved my latest puzzle in Blenheim, it's only a four hour drive to get the FTF, and yes it would definitely be a lot easier with the hinted reference, but it is good to see that it can be done without it.
As for this one, NZDi and I finally found it after DNFing it back in February. After a second DNF, the CO checked and replaced the cache so it was an easy find for us this evening after checking where we looked last time.
We are down in Christchurch to visit the misnamed NZMCA Camper and Caravan Show. It should have be called the NZMCA Camper show, so we went away disappointed as we are looking for a new caravan. Fortunately Canterbury Caravans who had their own show at their yards had more caravans on display than there were at the NZMCA show, and it looks like we might be getting one.
Great to turn this blue face into a yellow smiley, the second time we did this today.

I am down in Blenheim for some cache maintenance and Taybeedragon suggested a trip to Christchurch. Good idea! So we teamed up and here we are.
Wow. This woman must have been RICH!! The dragon wanted to find the gazebo - it looked interesting. We found it just as we were walking out of the grounds. Interesting is an understatement - that gazebo has to be my favourite part of the entire grounds. Check out the photo. Anyway, this cache gets a favourite. And a path tag.

We are now exploring the Mona Vale grounds for the Ad Lab here. Wow what an amazing place. We got this one snagged and tagged then headed back to Toby. I so wanted to see the gazebo and finalyy spotted it on the way. What an amazing structure. A fav for this gazebo. Cheers.
The Seagnoid is down for some cache maintenance but lots of xtra time to wander. I need some caches for my technology Souvineer, with Christchurch our agreed destination for a couple of days. Arrived late Friday night with Toby and Zara. So lets go exploring!

Day #7 of my Geotour.
A short day from Akaroa to Christchurch, although there were plenty of side trips.
All my Geotour must finds have been found. Now for some AdLabs, Virtuals and Large ones.
Having just finished doing a Wamble and an Amble it seemed a good time to throw in a Meander as well. Hmmm. Gates closing in 30 minutes. Had better get my skates on.
Change of plan. As one can't drive through to Fendalton Road at the moment I did the ones at the Hagley end and then drove around and parked on the road so I didn't have to worry about being locked out. I do enjoy having a rubber neck into peoples back yards. Some lovely new builds here "thanks" to the earthquake. Big properties too. No wonder I like them. Three of them are in the $4 million bracket. A quick find at the Bonus.

Had a bit of spare time up my hands today so decided to finally wrap up both the AL & this bonus cache. Lovely day for it and after a couple of trials I finally had cache in hand and signed off. TFTC and the AL tour
An explore around Mona Vale today doing the adventure labs. And a bonus cache at the end. A quick find and sign. Thanks for the cache.
Tregearp had already completed this adventure but had had some difficulty on the bonus. As I was in town with her this time we walked the adventure together which was beautiful and peaceful soon after dawn which had some significance on this day. The adventure was quickly completed and a recalculation of the puzzle coordinates found that the location previously searched may have been wrong. We made our way to the new GZ and soon had the cache in hand. Thanks Troodles for an enjoyable Adventure, and also the bonus cache.
I'did the Adventure cache a few months ago but didn't have a chance to tackle the final. Today was down with SJT_NZ so after he completed the adventure we both got the smilie on the final thanks Troddles for the cache.
As I stated in my Adventure Lab log, “A very pleasant setting although it was raining most of the time I was there! I intend to come back again on a sunny day to enjoy the surroundings at their best.” Found this cache reasonably quickly although I never feel especially comfortable crawling under bridges! “What’s that weird old codger doing?” Fortunately there were very few visitors around at the time! #3872. Cycled through Mona Vale, collecting the AL points and in the end stopped for the bonus with the ducks.
Nicely done, all the questions were straightforward and unambiguous. Good thing that the Fernery was open as otherwise might not be able to read it because there was a fern in the way
4th Solar System Wonder - Europa completed! Three more to go. I'm going to Mars!

#19390. Thought it was about time I did the paper work on this one (given it has already been replaced once). Have had the coords for a while (in fact had them pre-publication as I beta-tested the AL). A good hiding spot and a quick find today. TFTC.
Thanks troodles for the bonus at Mona vale managed to do the sums and go to GZ before all the gardeners started to do their rounds thanks from New Plymouth
Enjoyed wandering around doing the labs with ollycheerchick, Sir Belac and Nanzie. Sir Belac did the job of retrieving the cache. Thanks Troodles

Cache replaced. Now more a large micro in size. Slightly different position from the previous hide, but same hint and co-ords still apply.
Really enjoyed the AL and hoped for a quick find of the bonus cache. Entered the coordinates, found the location, hint makes sense, looked under, looked again, but sadly no find.
Hope it doesn't mean I'm going blind...

We had a DNF here tonight. The whole lab cache was a bit rushed as we were late getting here and saw the gates were locked 30mins before sunset. Tonight that was 8.40pm which meant we had 20 minutes to complete it. We rushed through the five waypoints, not taking our time to take in this amazing residence and quickly calculated the final. The coords looked plausable so we didn't use the geochecker. At GZ what we saw matched perfectly with the hint. After a good 10 minutes which should have seen us locked in overnight we gave up. Once home we used geochecker which confirmed we were looking in the right place.
Perhaps another attempt next time we are down from Blenheim.
Perhaps another attempt next time we are down from Blenheim.
Wandered about. Should have had a coffee here because when we went to Riccarton bush the cafe was closed there. Came here penguin spotting.
Headed up to Christchurch on Boxing Day for a 3-4 night caching trip, have to be grateful that despite overseas travel plans scrapped for now, we can still move around our beautiful country. Chatting to friends and family overseas, I feel very blessed and want to make the most of our earned freedom. I find caching is a great way to unwind and allow me to recharge ahead of the marathon which will be 2021.
I decided that my plans to go to Quail Island were not going to happen today, so I decided to follow where some adventure labs would lead and boy did I end up at some amaxing places I would not have gone to or visited otherwise. One of the main reasons I love this game.
Thank you to all of the cache owners for the caches enroute.
A fun lab and an amazing place, will have to come back again.

[NZ Mega 2020](http://nzmega.com) is definitely happening, but has been postponed until 2021. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 22 to 25 October 2021. It's going to be a massive celebration of geocaching:
* 20+ years of geocaching worldwide.
* 20+ years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* All the 20s and now 21 as well!
Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](http://nzmega.com) - you won't want to miss it!

What a beauty day, so after the event we came to Mona Vale for a wander around and pick up the AL. A great time of year, the flowers were out and the ducklings were all over. Cheers for the education, a nice simple AL and final cache for the kids to grab. Cheers
It was a pleasant amble through the park to get the required information. I thought that one of the places was an empty glass house until information on one of the sites informed me otherwise. I also learnt the name for a type of window. Everything went smoothly and log book found and signed. Thanks for the adventure.
The grounds were lovely in early summer and there were signs that an event is being held here soon. Would be a great spot for an evening occasion. Not for us today as after we found the bonus we headed for our temporary home to sit in the sun here.
Thanks. A favourite for making us visit at long last.

Mum had Lion meetings all day Saturday in Hanmer Springs then we spent Sunday around Rangiora doing maintenance checks and abit of caching. Because today is Westland Anniversary day we headed home via ChCh to do some lab adventures - and of course it had to rain today. This was our second lab completed today and it went very quickly with most answers guessed instead of observed. If it wasnt for the amazingly intoxicating aroma in the air I wouldve said we didnt have time to stop and smell the roses. Because it was raining we ducked into the toilets to work out this bonus and then headed here for a very quick find thanks to the clue and the shelter at GZ. Thanks for the meander even in the rain. It's been a few years since we were here properly so we vowed that next time we are in this side of ChCh we would come back for a better/longer visit. Thanks for the labs and Bonus
Today was much nicer than anticipated. We went for a picnic at Mina Vale. There was a wedding, so we had live music with our lunch. We then did the adventure lab and discovered the fernery. Both container and logbook were in really good condition. Thanks for placing and maintening this cache!
Many thanks for the rapid replacement! It was an instant find this evening on the way home from work. A beautiful pristine cache. We include a few photos from our meander through the gardens last Saturday. TFTC!
Cache replaced, hope this one lasts longer.
Now is a good time to visit as the gardens are looking lovely at the moment .
