Soon found after checking possibiities. Handy parking nearby appreciated, and the contents are in good condition. Thanks TwigNZ for this smiley.
Driving from wellington to Auckland and needed to stop and stretch my legs so a geocach was needed. Quick find with no cach issues. Thanks for placing this cach.
Been meaning to find this for a while. Nice easy cache wuth the car park near by.TFTC
Great quick find with young kids. Took a while as autumn leaves had fallen and covered the cache.
Today we left Wellington and continued our journey with next stop in Stratford. Before leaving thsi area we just stopped for this easy hide. Thanks for hiding and maintaining the cache.Happy hunting!TFTCschnuckel1[#24146]
Found during an outing with the 2 geograndkids. I sureptiously lowered the cache to GL for JoggIn jnr2 (aged 2) to find. What excitement! Thanks for the placement.
A need to visit another town (in this case Levin) is always a good excuse to go find a few geocaches. This was the first of the afternoon -not quite where I expected it, but looking a bit higher up soon bore results. TFTC TwigNZ.
Out and about trying to find some caches for the solstice souvenir and wheel of challenges. A fairly quick find, though not in the first few places I looked. All good in the cache. TFTC
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit … we are currently parked up at the NZMCA Park at thr Foxton Racecourse … um, in Foxton … decided we’d go for a bit of a drive around exploring the local area … thought we’d grab a near-by Kiwi Guardian, do some Ad Labs & grab some caches … this one easily done, although had to avoid a couple of cars visiting the property over the road … pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally … TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #4,332 for us!
Not as quick as expected as gps a bit haywire but found with a bit of perseverance. Tftc

Headed with NZ_B and Itchyfeet down to the end of the track for a new cache, ended up being part of a huge crowd tracking down this brand new cache after the Cannonball Run event today. Headed down this way to hunt out the new cache at the end of the walk.
After a fun Cannonball Run event, the CO released four new caches. JustLookingOO and I teamed up to look for two of them. As one was in this area, we took the opportunity look for some nearby caches, this being one of them.
The cache was nicely hidden in the spot that looked right, so didn’t take too long to discover, sign and return.
Thanks for the cache!

Out caching on a sunny afternoon with the Seagnoid and NZ_B. Following another amazing Cannonball run event today. It's a gorgeous day and we have caching all arvo. TFTC.
It's been a wee while since I checked up on this cache, so as I was in the area I thought I would pay it a visit.
Cache found exactly as it should be, although I did need to replace the torn baggie.

2023/02/12 Quick find with Piratenflynn, Piratenleo and StefTheVet after an awesome walk through the Reserve. Nice place for a cache! TFTC!
Found on our first NZ bush walk on our holiday visiting from Germany. This is my second geocache to find. Quick find. Tftc
#2301. Today was another caching day with lumin298, starting at my orchard in Manakau, then here, and then heading south to Wellington.
After an early morning start (the overnight Intercity bus from Auckland gets to Otaki just after 5am) lumin298 was keen to pick up the nearby PW cache at Lake Pataitonga, so off we went. I was 4th to find two years ago.
This cache was on the way back, so it was a no brainer to park & grab as I never had done so before. Lumin spotted it while I was looking in the other direction!
Tftc TwigNZ.

Stopped here on the way out of the reserve. A few hint items to check but I managed to find it in the first place I tried. All good with the cache, thanks! And thanks again for showing me this place!

On a mission to do PWGT 2 caches in full and maybe some of Tahi ones too in the time I’ve allowed myself. There will also be some extras along the way to to make break the journey
Started this trip on the North Island leg by doing the ones round the lake as it was still daylight when I arrived

I have been caching in this reserve before - years ago when I used to regularly work in Levin and then more recently this year when I was here with Paddle Chick as part of the Cannonball Run fun. Second visitor here today. TFTC # 18,623
A little early for a meeting up this way today so popped in here. Must explore the reserve when there’s more time. What a serene area! Many thanks
So after a long day of work me and Clarke_nua went to go spend the afternoon finding some geocaches in order to get to cache 100 by Monday evening so we headed down to ohau to find a few I hadn't already found.
We hoped out of the car and quickly found this cache tftc

I selected a rather random bunch of caches to find in this general area several were from this CO. Despite having a reputation in my mind of difficult to find caches all of today's ones were, well, normal. I remember the CO noting that "normal is overrated" when I made an observation about his tricky "abnormal" caches but apparently that was not entirely true! I didn't want to park in the bay that is clearly intended for cars to pass each other on the one-lane road so I left my car out on the main road and it was only a short walk to the cache from there. An unexpectedly quick find for which I was grateful. TFTC.
Nice park'n'grab on the way to Papaitonga. All good in the container. Signed, and returned as found. Tftc!
On my way to find the GeoTour cache, I used this as WP to get me towards parking. Later, reading the longer description of the GT cache I realise a different WP was suggested - the difficulties of caching by phone!
Thanks for this cache, TwigNZ. A lovely stand of bush.

Working in Levin conducting trang for night shift operators. This meant I had a few hours every morning to pop out and do some caching. Great to get out and get some fresh air before spending the evening in a factory and classroom.
This was a quick easy find in the obvious spot.

I was passing this way to set up one of the waypoints required for my Cannonball Run event later today, so took the opportunity to replace the soggy logbook here.
I was also curious to know why the original logbook had been affected this badly, only to discover that the container had been placed upside down by someone in the past.
Sistema containers do not work well that way.
So new log installed, and this is as good as new again.

Failed to find this one one the way in, straight to it on the return journey. Logbook is really wet and needs a look-see, added a 'CAP^%*#@' to the back page as the pen nib got wet.
This was another area I was keen to cache at with a few Traditipnals, a Tour cache and a challenge cache I qualify for too. Quite muddy underfoot and plenty of water in the creeks and streams and no Australian water dragons sighted (as per sign).
An unusual weekend this was, with mrs c in the region since Wednesday afternoon but me working meant it was Friday evening before we got together and discussed the new house we will soon be moving to. She'd come down in case it fell through which was looking possible at some points last week, but all good in the end. She headed back up North to Auckland this morning and the day was forecast for, and started off with, plenty of the wet stuff. I decided a trip to Foxton and Levin was happening anyway, even if just for a few Ad Lab stages. In the end the big yellow thing prevailed and dried up all the rain and I was able to make a few finds and not get too wet. Even got to (finally) meet TwigNZ, which was good, esp as I'd found a few of his today. Thanks to all COs for their contributions to my fun today.

Got to see the local spiders home. The log book was wet. Signed best we could, found with sweatyyetinz.
Found it and message sent as requires maintenance, log book is a little wet... ty again mate found with lenagem
Hey mate, log book is soaking wet. Not been found for a while and is hiding spot is now home to a few creepy crawleys lol
The third one of your caches this morning. This one was the easiest find so far today. Thanks for placing the cache
Decided to pick up a few caches on my way home from Levin today, after having had a bit of a ‘break’ over the past three months, primarily due to the busyness of life. Good to get back into it again! This was the first of four I located on the walk in to the lake (well, not literally!). A quick find. #4283. TFTC.
Nice easy cache on a cloudy but calm day. Found with Crystal Fairy on our way to Palmerston North for a weekends caching.
We are heading to Shannon Dam after an enjoyable forest walk around Lake Papaitonga. Just had to stop here for a quick snag and tag. Cheers
Taybee NZ and I are on a day out together to Palmerston North to scoop up the last few PWGTs needed to complete the Rua series. With a couple of shopping stops along the way. Enjoyed walking Lake Pataitonga and visiting Shannon Dam. Even tackled the steps at Anzac Park for a great earth cache. Had an amazing day thanks to all the COS and Taybee NZ.

Due to the postponement of the Auckland Mega, Buttels and the Crystal half decided to use the dates planned for the event to do some caching between Wellington and Palmy. Quick and easy find. Thanks for the cache
On my MEGA trip to Auckland except I am now heading from Feilding to Wellington. However to complete the artwork AdLab I have to drive through Levin to admire the artwork in Ohau before I can enjoy Levin's artwork. On the way back I headed for the GeoTour cache and enjoyed some time out of the car.A quick park and grab.TFTC
Visited GZ on my way into work today to check up on this cache.
It was indeed missing from its hiding spot, but was simply lying on the ground. Perhaps moved by an animal, as the were no issues with the container or the logbook, so I simply put back in its proper place ready to be found again

We have come to the North Island to do a bit of a whirlwind tour and find some of the new PWGT caches. We were in the North Island for our summer holiday only a few months ago and as it turns out many of the places we went to we are revisiting on this trip.
I had said to gk that I might hobble down the road and find this one while he went in the other direction, but then while he was away I decided against it. Just as well as I ended up going for a wander along the lovely track nearby.
So we stopped on the way out of the area and GK found this cache nice and quickly, he signed the log before returning it all as he found it.
Thank you placing this cache and thank you for the smiley.

Avoiding the creepy crawlies i managed to extract the goodies thankyou for showing me a place I would haven never gone without this game and cache.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on our way south as tomorrow we catch the Bluebridge ferry back to the mainland.
There was a good parking spot near GZ, so we left the find for the way back. As luck would have it, just after we had parked, a community patrol car went past. The occupants hardly gave us a second glance, so obviously we don't look as dodgy as we feel . TFTC.

#19734. Visited the reserve to find a couple of caches, and couldn't go past this one on the way out. Quick find. TFTC.
After parking the snail shell up in Marton it was time for a road trip to get some of the PWGT caches and any others that got in the way.
This is one that got in the way. I did this one on the way out.
Cheers for the cache.

I made use of the layby to park close to the cache site. It took a long time for my GPSr to settle down and get the accuracy rating to a low number. Once it did, I was able to quickly find the nicely hidden treasure.
Collecting as many caches around the Levin area as possible. Just had a swim at Hokio beach and now feel invigorated to continue having cooled down. Quick stop and grab on the way to the reserve. Cache all fine. Thankfully a lot more shade here. Thanks.
On my way back home to Wellington and stopped off in Levin for a few caches, this was one. A quick find as described, all quiet here today. TFTC
nice quick find on our way out with most of the cars gone it was an easy pull over a grab, thanks for the placement the cache is all in great order.
On a mission chasing TWGT and grabbed this while in the area. No problem with the find TFTC.
