The restaurant near here is pretty good - no issues with the cache . Nicely made - still early TNLNSL TFTC
we lifted quite a few stones before we found it ... but at least we knew it must be here.. TFTC
**19,472**Mr Geckoh was happy to be back locating a G-2 cache again. He took no time at all to dig this one out and slap our name in the log. Nothing like a bit of Marmalade. TFTC
Today was the day to take on the puppies. Not the easiest power trail I've ever undertaken. "Interesting" parking options, variable co-ordinates and some caches that definitely required digging out. Still, with some great info from previous logs, pretty good hints (if one casts ones eye a bit wider sometimes) and a nice (not to hot but dry) day I managed to find a good percentage of them. Thanks to those that have rescued a puppy or two as they became abandoned by the original owner. Generic log to cover the series.
The plan this weekend was to head to Auckland Friday evening with Yvettetb. Saturday we had a lovely day caching around the Northcoate area with great Harbour Bridge views from all over the place. Sunday we went geocaching in the Riverhead/Kumeū area.
We came out this way to try the Dalmation trail. Grabbed this one as we went past. We had to hunt in a few places as there were lots of spors. I was initially looking for a more extravagant type G_2 hide too which meant I didn’t always check the obvious. Thanks for the hide

This cache took longer than it should have to find and once spotted we didn't know how we missed it on the way past. Found with Lis's Crew on a sunny winters day. TFGC
Away for the Easter weekend and taking a slow amble from west to east to camp somewhere near Whangaparaoa.
Another random find on my journey.
Thanks G_2

Out caching by myself again while the other half sells Christmas trees. I parked nearby and wandered along until I saw a likely hide. Moved the cover and spied what Mamalade. TFTC
Was up this way to focus on the 101 Dalmation series and had to select a starting point...headed onto this one. Little water inside the container, but the waterproof paper enabled signing in.

#11,444. I have been out west for the past week staying at the coast. But today I am heading into the big smoke to stay with family and attend a zoom meeting. Then I head off to Northland for the rest of the week. Been down this road a couple of times previously to pick up caches. Today I parked opposite and wandered over to GZ. Noticed something out of place and yep there is the cache. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache as found. Thanks G_2 for hiding it here. Finally clicked as to why the cache is so called. Very witty.
Starting to go dark but GeohoundandI got to this one before I did. I parked across the road and the car seemed to attract more attention than we did.
I had a pleasure to find this cache with lumin298 on "Solved puzzles day trip" around West Auckland.
It was a handy one "while in the area"
TFTC!

Another caching day out with Tramyard, this time aiming to clear a whole lot of puzzles off my solved list. This wasn't a solved puzzle but it was nearby so we stopped here to find it. Don't really understand why the cache is called Marmalade, but I like marmalade so I'm not complaining. All good here, TFTC!
Today I was at Bethel's (Te Henga) picking up an earthcache for International Earthcache Day. Found myself caching much further afield and came back along this way. Gorgeous day for it. Great to be able to cache properly again for awhile, who knows what Covid will be doing to Auckland tomorrow! No problem with the hide, paper was wet but easily dried out so I could sign off on it.
Heading home after chasing a few piggies in the Riverhead forest, we were rather hungry after our adventures, so a cache with marmalade was too tempting to pass by. Quick find here. Cache is in great condition. TFTC
Decided to head back to base this way as there was one outlier cache that was goofing off waiting to be found. All good here and re-laid as found. Don't 'get' the cache title though? Paddington's sandwich filling? Uh?
I had an appointment in Kumeu today so had to head into town for a small time and whilst there extended my visit to snap up a couple of caches and stretch my legs a little. I have had a few green blobs on my geo-map for a little while today so was good to yellowise them, whilst also adding one more small blue DNF, thanks all COs.

Picked this one up on my way for a morning dog walk in Riverhead. Great title/theme.
I remember this joke from way back in my schooldays (last century!). Nice quick find, tftc

The elder Future Finder and I headed out for some afternoon geocaching today. A nice overcast day to be out and about. We decided to tackle the new piggies amongst the puppies. Having done that it was time to look for other hides. We parked up near GZ and I inspected the large retaining wall. Soon came up with the goods. Cheers for the cache placement!
Parked nearby, jumped over the ditch, and approached the wall, hmm what is this? yep a cache
Thanks for the hide G-2, sometimes its nice to have a simple hide, a fun find on a hot day!

This one didn't take too long to figure out where it was. I remember coming to this spot for your excellent Four Candles cache
I still don't understand the cache name, but that is all right since I usually don't for this CO. TFTC.
Nice easy find while in the area. Don't tell piggy, but how about a recipe for a Beer & Marmalade Glazed Ham, yumm

Visiting friends had just left so I checked my fone and all these notifications popped up. They were all published over an hour ago but I took off anyway. This was next on the list and the cache was quickly in hand signing for {FTF} #62 . I remember your awesome "Four Candles" cache that used to be nearby, G-2. TFTC
