Day forty one of our epic New Zealand Adventure with The Morris.Traveling between Rotorua and the lodge in the middle of the Timber Trail. We start our ride tomorrow. We did a few caches on the way here.We solved a pile of these X marks the spot cache before we came to NZ for the Mega.Several of them do not exist anymore. We stopped in on our way south today and collected what we could. This one was mangled so we placed a pill bottle inside the old container with a new log. Thanks for the series. Thanks, Robmc.
Day 41 of our Enzed adventures with Robmc and today we leave Rotarua and head North. We had enough time to return to this series and finish them off except for the one we couldn't find. Thanks for contributing to an amazing holiday.
Hubby came up to ride in the redwoods, so at last minute I joined him but went caching. I managed a few before I got the phone call to come collect. Thanks for placement even if it was only for 1.5hours the weather was fantastic.
Having been out for the Bison series today, we stopped off to look for this one as well. We'd been past GZ several times previously, but this was our first opportunity in a small vehicle. No problems spotting the container today. Signed, and returned as found. Tftc!
Matagouri and I had planned one last attack on the bison roaming the area, with the intention of picking up all of the remaining caches left, including the 'eye' which Matagouri had targeted as his 5000th cache find. The weather forecast wasn't great, but we figured if we got an early enough start, we could potentially finish before the rain set in, which we succeeded in doing with only minutes to spare. As we were nearby, we figured we'd grab some 'extras' as well. This series has been in the solved basket for quite some time, so we took the opportunity to pick up a few more while the rain was holding off. Thanks for setting this up
All of these were solved on publication and we tried to find the ones that were still there this morning. No problems here. TFTC
#2746. Day 6 of a road trip from Wellington to Morrinsville (& back) to attend the 100th birthday party of a distant cousin.Yesterday, I travelled down from Te Aroha to Rotorua, and this morning continued my trip south.I "discovered" these X marks the spot Mystery caches last year. Certitude will tell you I solved this one on 12 Dec last year, and today it was the third & final find along SH5, but I will return for the others maybe to coincide with the Mega. So, approaching GZ, I noticed a camoed container lying on the ground. Upon opening it, I discovered that this was an old cache, but not signed by all previous finders. Maybe there's another drop in there too? I didn't look! Replaced in a nested position partly coverd by dead leaves.Tftc ApacheD.
Ticking off these mysteries, quick find but sadly the log is too damp to sign, TFTC!
Greetings from Seattle! I traveled down under with jtcoffee to attend the Great Leap Forward Mega-Event in Adelaide on Leap Day. Of course, a trip from Seattle to Australia just wouldn't be complete without a detour through New Zealand Per usual, We're squeezing in as many extra activities as we can, including, but not limited to: Logging our geocache finds in the southern hemisphere Finding Australia's oldest, [GC3E](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC3E) at Lane Cove, and the first-ever Earthcache, [GCHFT2](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GCHFT2) Enjoying the spectacle of Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in Sydney Cruising along the scenic Great Ocean Road Completing a challenge that requires finding 31 Earthcaches and 31 Virtuals in 31 days ([GC32TBZ](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC32TBZ) and [GC32TC2](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC32TC2)) Finding the oldest cache placed outside of the US, [GC46](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC46) Exploring the iconic Lord of the Rings filming locations across New Zealand This was one of the many puzzles I solved before our trip. Though we only ended up finding a tiny percentage of my solves, it still feels good to pick up some mystery caches "down under." Thanks for keeping this series in play and contributing to our epic adventure!
Hello from Seattle! After an amazing trip along the southern coast of Australia heading from Sydney to Adelaide to attend a Mega-Event with my fellow Lackey and best Geobuddy Giacaches, we headed over to New Zealand for a week of caching and adventure - as I often say, we've never been closer, so it made perfect sense to plan for a stop. We have a loop around the North Island on the schedule, and I'm so excited to see all the things there is to see!We are continuing along the coast today, keeping our eyes peeled for beautiful views and Virtual caches to find - all to end up in Rotorua for the night. What a cool place! Gia solved a bunch of puzzles before our trip out and this was one of them - for which I'm so grateful! Thanks for adding to this great trip!
Heading north with tmann421 for a few days. This was day two with plenty of miles for us to cover.Enjoyed the hide hereSigned log tm/ww NZTFTC
*Good short trip away with woolwood9 finding some geocaches along the way!*We soon had the container located here and the log stamped. SL *tm/ww NZ*Thank you for the reason to visit this area. One of not very many found by us today.
Down in Rotorua for 2 nights and 3 days and I had in mind doing a few more of these puzzles, but this time I tagged along with Rebel98 and rustynz in Rex's car. The C.O decided to join us along this stretch of road and we ended up doing some cache replacements with him. The C.O went straight to this cache, no issues here with the hide or cache. Enjoyed solving this puzzle too.
Found this a while back with Punga & Paua on our way back from Rotorua. TFTC
Our North Island Roadtrip from Whangarei to complete Tahi & Rua of the NZ Geotour - Day Eleven.
On our way from Taupo to Rotorua we stopped by and found a few of the X marks the spot geoart. Found with Lis's crew. Thanks for the puzzle, series & TFGC

With the Geotour coming to and end soon Yvettetb and I decided to go on a road trip to collect Tahi and Rua. Of course I had some puzzles at various places to collect and a few special types were added to the list too.
Today's plan was to get from Taupo to Rotorua collecting the tour caches and the Spot X puzzles in Rotorua. It was a bit of an adventure going to the Whirinaki forest today as we weren't sure how the roads had feared with the recent cyclone. As it turned out there was only one slip and the road was in far better condition than I expected. It was a beautiful walk to the tour cache and then the waterfall which was very pretty.
We grabbed this series on our way back. This I'd solved in October 2020. This was a very busy road with very little parking. The local farmer stopped to say hi and check us out as they've had poachers in the past. Fortunately he didnt think we looked like poachers. A fairly quick find. Thanks for the easy set of puzzles to mark NZ's first geocache

Parking seemed better on the other side of the road so I drove to the end of this set and cached back. Turned out I was wrong. Parking is better on the way there.
Road was busier than expecting so parking wasn't always great. Quick find. TFTC
Team work solving these puzzles with kimbathelion. Found time today to have a day out in Rotorua. A nice quick find here today. TFTC
It's my Mega weekend road trip! This is day six and I'm off to Whakatane via Rotorua and the GC45 tribute. Will expand on my logs, post photos, qualifying caches for challenges, etc. When I get home. TFTC
No fighting tuis, but the courier of magpies was near.

Really enjoyed solving these puzzles. Found it on our way home from Rotorua a while ago but saved it up for Climbing the Peaks points. TFTC.
#10,623. I have been staying at my sisters place in Rotorua but today I am driving back to Wellington. Packed up and left nice and early in the morning so I could do a few caches in and around Rotorua before heading south. I solved the X mark the spot puzzles over the past year and today I am just grabbing a few more of the finals. Parked close by and almost stood on 2 tui having a fight on the ground. When the saw me they unlocked claws and headed off in separate directions. Fortunately the cache was a nice easy find nearby. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache exactly as found. Thanks Team BOP for hiding the cache here.
Traveling along this road with Mum today to pick up these x marks the spot caches while i am visiting family. A great day out, despite it being very hot out. Another shady welcoming spot to search for our next find. TFTC and series.
Malinkaly once again did all the work for this one. I was the drivers and signer of the log.
Malinkaly and I planned a road trip to go to the MEGA but Covid has postponed the event again. We decided to continue on with our planned journey making adjustments as we go with the ever-changing travel restrictions.
Greetings from Dunedin!
Thanks for the cache, ApacheD

Knowing that I was gonna be in Rotorua (from Wellington) for a few days this week, I spent the last couple of weeks working on some of the mystery cache puzzles in the area. This was one of them.
Having visited the GC45 plaque a few months ago on my way through, this visit was time for this connected series. All solved without too much trouble, and this hide was found without too much trouble either.
I have logged this cache as part of 12-12-12: A Challenge? http://coord.info/GC42CNY

A quick find as we head south.
Our trip continues after being curtailed on day 2 when we went into lockdown (that was an 800+ km day to get back to our respective homes). The trip with LNM1961 (logs signed either with our own names or ‘LE’) continues. We are travelling around the Rua area of the PWGT to collect all of these caches, plus some in the Tahi area. However, we aren’t just focussing on them. We are targeting others - oldies, ones that help us qualify for challenges, ones out of the way (especially on the Desert Road), as well as having fun, exploring NZ and seeing the countryside. TFTC

Thanks for this cache, all good in the x hood. Great to have another one completed.
Out and about picking up some of our solved puzzles. Another puzzle in the series completed
#12,565. Solved the interesting puzzle based in Tumunui. Fortunately, final GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Relatively quick find. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing else, signed log.

Stayed the night in Rotorua on our way up to Auckland to see the kids. Had lots of spare time to cache. Enjoyed solving this series in anticipation of this trip. Parked up by the main road and got the bike out. Good to stretch the legs and collect some smileys at the same time. No problems finding this one. Thanks
I teamed up with Butchie Bum for a road trip from Whakatane to Rotorua to Maketu to locate and sign off some caches up south-east Bay of Plenty way.
Signing off the latest ones of this series.
Cheers for the cache.

It has been a while since we last cached in the Rotorua area. In the meantime a bunch of X's have appeared to mark new spots. Heading from Taupo to Rotorua today by a rather circuitous route, stopping along the way to collect the finds. Thanks.
Out and about today clearing the bulk of what I have left between Papamoa and Whirinaki - Naturally we were chasing down the Pokai Whenua Tour but will happily grab anything that crosses our path.
We were now on our way home from Minginui but we still have some day light so this one was next. **This series along with the [GC45 Memorial Plaque](https://coord.info/GC892XR) are excellent tributes to [GC45 "First New Zealand"](https://coord.info/GC45) being the 9th Geocache ever published, the first placed outside of USA and the first in New Zealand.** But my daughter doesn't get it... she reluctantly exited the vehicle to find this one - quickly and without fuss. All good here - onto the next one.
Cheers TeamBOP & TFTC

Back in the area for the weekend and decided to continue with the series. Enjoyed completing the puzzles and no problem with the find once at GZ TFTC.
I am down in Rotorua for a few days, but today I was joined by two caching friends, Nufrat and AlunB. We continued our quest down this road. I used to work at this company, but before they adopted this logo. TFTC.
out with agazo and alunb today, another quick find so we could get on with finding more, tftc
A nice quick find thanks.
Ms_KR and I are on our annual pilgrimage to Auckland for our family Christmas. Today we cruised around Rotorua. Please excuse the generic logs, there have been a few finds and they get muddled up sometimes.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Solved two of these puzzles a while ago just haven't had time to go and find them. Today we made the effort. Mr S finally made the find after the iPhone settled down but boy the locals rip along here and take no prisoners.
Thanks Team BOP.

A simple puzzle to solve and a nice easy cache to find. These caches may become more difficult later when the geo-trails grow over. TFTC.

This is the quietest Labour Weekend we’ve had in a while. Usually, there would be a Mega Event or a planned mission. We seem to have satisfied our caching itch with a trip to Christchurch at the beginning of the month.
This puzzle was published while we were away. We managed to solve it soon enough. Left the business for today - A quick find. Thanks Team BOP. TFTP and TFTC.

Nice hide.
In lieu of Akld Mega 2020, we decided a side trip to the new tribute cache (to GC45) was in order. Travelling with South Island cachers, we found a number of caches including this one.
We have typically signed as mrandmrschosen1978 or occasionally MM78.

Our last one for the day, another nice quick solve and find. We are also thankful for spots to pull off the road at GZ even though we only have a little van! Team BOP you have xcelled with this series, all those we found today were well camoed and in great condition. We are xcitedly looking forward to more in the series being published in the future. Cheers!
Nice fast find here ...enjoying this series of caches .many thanks...signed and replaced as found
Just as well there is plenty of room to pull over as there is nothing discrete about a large motor home. Even so the pressure was on to find - a bit like the solve lol, not that I'm competitive . Thanks for the puzzle and cache Team BOP
Yay another few X- Marks the Spot puzzles came out. So quick solve and enjoyed a wee drive to sign them off as in Rotorua with family over the holidays. tftc
Over from Tauranga for a couple of nights with grand daughter as it’s the school holidays. Cheers. All good here. Joint {FTF}
