Final few hours in Mt Beauty before heading back to Melbourne and last chance for a MTB ride around these great (and deserted) tracks. Left around 4pm giving myself 2 hrs before dark to get around a circuit, scoop up some last and more remote caches, as well as get some miles into my legs and hopefully some great trails. Was probably a bit ambitious in the distance and time before darkness but just about managed it. Relatively quick find, made me jump a little when i saw it, its doing a good job of guarding the cache. TFTC.
Great hiding spot, gave me a little fright. Though it was a black drink bottle
Another week of lockdown so more training for the Larapinta Trail (with fingers crossed we will be able to get there) while out geocaching. This morning we plan to get the caches we haven't yet done in the Mt Beauty area - 7. One down, six to go ...

Found the obvious tree but nothing behind the cameo. Needs an owner check. Thanks Ronice.
Visited while out and about on a MTB ride in the park. Cache was not there but on contact with the CO determined it had been temporaryly removed due to a planned control burn.
Cache logged with CO permission as my name was added to the log.

After a day at Falls Creek I grabbed a few caches on the way down the hill. This was the last and it was a quick walk up the freshly graded trail (hope the hides survive the planned burn) from the multi below.

Day 5 of the Magnificent Mount Beauty Caching Festival, and a magical morning of older and newer hides.
This was the 5th of 6 finds.
Crossing the road from the Survey Track, was very happy to find a path up to Luke’s Track which delivered me right to the cache.
Quite a funky guardian. I liked it!

#4282 Whilst in the area we thought we would give this one a burl. Always wondered about the origins of these funny Aussie sayings, thanks for enlightening us! We poked around for a while once at gz before finally spying where Hurley Burley resided. Had a bit of a laugh when we removed the natural camo and discovered the cache host. Nice one and TFTC Ronice88.
In all are travels we would not have even thought to traveled to this location.
