Wandered around town answering questions. Some which came easily, others took a few tries. Luckily I approached GZ the right way and spotted this on approach. TFTC.
Having had no luck accessing the Mt Tantangara area (see log here... https://coord.info/GCAVXEE), I headed back to Cooma and had a few enjoyable hours of geocaching there.I've driven through Cooma heaps of times, but usually only stopped for the loo on the way to the snow. It was nice to have time to explore today.I'd started the AL last year, and visited the last two locations today. I had typed in every number from 1 to 30 for the step-count up to Nanny Goat Hill before I typed out my original answer in words, only to find that that was correct Thanks for the AL and cache, joeylovestreasure! Cache was in good condition and the contents were dry
Cooma Day 2Yesterday we drove from Adelong to CoomaHalf way into our trip we encounted a snow storm, the first snow of the season. As are not used to this we found it very scary. The car said zero degrees most of the way.Temperature only a little better today, the sun came out after lunch.A nice way to visit the town & area is by following the geocaching trailWe really enjoyed all the locations that the AL took us to. Visited a couple of the tourist locations.FP givenThanks joeylovestreasure for hiding this cache.
After several inclement days of rain we are trying to make up for it today. Got our last AL stage today whilst visiting the Hydro Centre, did the sums and headed off via a cache or two to GZ for this Bonus. Found with good co-ords and all is okay here with the cache. Thankyou for adding the bonus ..... always appreciated.
We had a nice tour of Cooma with the Ad Lab and after calculating the final coordinates we arrived near GZ a short climb and a bit of a scramble to find the cache after a short search. Thanks to joeylovestreasure for the Ad Lab and bonus cache.
Found with gwd.aussie.Breaking the drive home from Canberra GeoBash Canberra. Thanks for taking us to locations we would normally not visit on our way through. Thanks joeylovestreasure
Great tour of the town, I wouldn't had visited some of these spots without this cache.Out caching with D@geoThank you the hide joeylovestreasure
With fantastic weather we negotiated our way from Holbrook through the breath taking Snowy Mountains National Park to arrive at Cooma our destination. After a great tour of the busy little town for the public holiday we had our final destination loaded into our phones. Once there we over thought the DT but eventually the fitter Triton cried Ive got it.Thanks joeylovestreasure for the bonus placement.
An impromptu road trip to the snowies allowed me to stop along the way to grab a plethora of caches. This was one of many finds I made for the trip.Had completed the AL some time ago, today I was able to complete the bonus.TFTC
Found on my trip towards Beridale to stay with my friend before heading to The Mile High Event at Tantangara tomorrow. Lovely drive around town to nab this AL. I struggled with figuring out when to write in digits and when to write numbers as words, but I got there in the end. As for Lambie Gorge, BEWARE: Snake sighting. Got the fright of my life when I was looking down at my phone and spotted a darkish looking snake in front of me. Anyway, from there, I solved for GZ and drove over for a quick find. Great location to cap a nice tour of this iconic alpine town. TFTC!
A nice little historic wander around town. Then quite a quiet spot for gz. Cache good, thanks.
Great few days up hiking and geocaching in the Snowy Mountains. Too good an opportunity not to pick some caches up in Cooma on the way home. So targeted those leading up to Mt Lamby. TFTC
Completed the Al with caching colleagues on our way to the snow ️ earlier in the week and we collected the Bonus on the way back through today. Thanks for the informative AL and TFTC joeylovestreasure.
Whilst we completed the AL over a year ago, we ran out of time on that trip to look for the bonus. Fortunately today we had the time to swing past here for a quick find.
Thanks, JLT!

Started this ages ago but forget to get the snowy hydro wp on way home. Back through the area so we collected today then a short walk up to the easily found cache. Thanks for the cache joeylovestreasure.
On a trip up to the snowy's to finally get the 2000 cache. Found this along the way
Loved our time spent in Cooma, grabbing caches and completing the adv lab series. Thanks for showing us around Cooma. After completing the series at the Snowy Hydro Scheme we did the calculations and on our way back to Jindabyne, detoured to grab this one. Nice hide TFTC
Located on the way out of Cooma.
Beautiful area.
So many hides over the past few days have been found in around or under rocks.
Loving exploring the different landscapes and architecture. So different from the Goulburn Valley.

I started this AL two years ago, and only today on my return trip from Victoria, was I able to finish it and find the Bonus. Cache and log are good. I left a trinket; a metallic, golden necklace with a golden elephant and other decorations attached. TFTC joeylovestreasure.
This was a nice lab cache of town driving around checking out the local area, cache was easily found once at GZ in this peaceful spot

I was in Jindabyne with a group of geocachers, including Rama497, for the GCNSW events. Today we were heading home and decided to grab this one after completing the AL on our way down. A scramble about the rocks and the cache was found.

After three days around Jindabyne as part of the Kosciuszko Expedition by Geocaching NSW, it was time to head home. To ensure I stay alert behind the wheel, I planned a few moments to stretch my legs, co-incidentally close to some interesting geocache locations.
The AL was done on day 1 of the Jindy Jaunt, so today on the way out I stopped for the AL Bonus which was quickly found.

Day 8 of our road trip to Whittlesea via Canberra and today we head to Bega and stopping for caches and ALs along the way. Many thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining the caches for our enjoyment.
Day 8 of our 2 week road trip south from Brisbane. After overcoming floods, a bogged car and vehicle electrical issues, we finally reached Canberra to spend a few days with relatives and explore some of the newer virtual and earth caches since my last visit. It was then time to continue the journey south towards the Snowy Mountains.
After spending the night in Cooma, it was a chilly start to the day at -1°, with a heavy frost. I had to head back inside before we left for some warm water to dissolve the ice covering my windscreen.
I had managed to collect 4 of the lab locations yesterday afternoon so it was only Lambie Gorge location to finish off this morning. With that to hand I was able to calculate the final location and we picked that up on our way out of town. No problem locating the cache here, which was done quite quickly considering the various nooks and crannies a cache could hide in. TFTC

This was enjoyable. Doing the AL and having this as a bonus.
Arriving near GZ, I was disappointed to see so much rubbish scattered around. Getting over that, I followed my device and soon ended up at a heap of rocks. It didn't take too long to find the cache hiding amongst them.
Thanks for the fun joeylovestreasure.

Nice quick find. The AL had us going to all corners of Cooma. We had started this some months ago during a business trip to Cooma. Because we couldn't find our notes for this cache, we had to do it all over again. Anyway it was a good experience so we gave the AL

Heading down to the coast with GLISS! to help K8TYBEE celebrate her birthday. Can’t resist stopping in to grab these caches along the way looking forward to getting some funky caches, checking out some antique shops and staring at the beautiful beach. Been watching the news in case the dreaded Covid rears it’s head down this way. So far things are looking all clear. Thanks for the cache.

Canberra Day Long weekend Day 2. Cooma and Boboyan Road. Another day for a road trip took me with Cosmonaut97, Fitzy_1965 & MinnieK down to Cooma, across to Adaminaby, out to Eucumbene dam and back home via Boboyan road. Two early DNFs, but many finds. There was huge over lap in out team and although we visited over 45 caches today, no of us made that many finds today.
I did the Five Labs for this when I was heading home after the Mt Kosiuszcko trip in January. Today the scramble around the rocks took us to the bonus cache.

With the Canberra Day Long Weekend upon us, the FFLL ladies and I usually take off towards SA or the likes for some caching, however with the unpredictability of COVID on the borders, we decided we would try for something a little closer to home. We decided that we would come down and have a crack at the VB trail around Eden and Merimbula. It was a great weekend away with both the FFLL ladies and it was nice to see the ocean and get some sun on our faces.
After making our way around town visiting the 5 waypoints and reading the interesting historical information, we gathered the required data and soon had calculated GZ for this bonus. No issues locating the cache and soon had our scribbles in the log before making our way on the road again towards the coast.
Thanks for the adventure lab and cache placement joeylovestreasure and thanks for the wonderful weekend away FFLL ladies Always enjoyable and always something to look forward to.

The Canberra day long weekend falls on the first weekend in March so we usually take this time to head out of town. So this year, the caching troupe of us and Rapidlywild decided to head to the Merimbula / Eden coastline to collect a few smiley's. Our travels took us to Cooma so we decided to stop and collect some around the area that had popped up since we were last here.

Crystal Warrior and I were on our way from Merimbula and with time in hand we made our way around. Most places were quite familiar to us from earlier activities. GZ was strangely isolated? Thanks for this nice AL!
After completing the adventure lab we headed off with ilook4geo to pick up the bonus cache. It was a quick find and both names were soon added to the log. Thanks go to joeylovestreasure for the lab caches and for this bonus cache as well.
Did the tour of Cooma which led to finding this cache. The cache was in good condition and the log was signed. TFTC.
Having to do a delivery to New South Wales we thought that we would take the opportunity to take a more scenic route and grab a few caches along the way.
We also had in our sights any adventure labs and this one was definitely on the list;
We have visited a couple of these locations before in search of caches but we were more than happy to visit again and see what has changed. The rest were all new to us and we really enjoyed the locations as we collected the required info which was to lead us to this cache. Once at gz our hearts dropped a little as we don't always have good luck in these places but happily today with good co-ords and a little bit of luck the bigger than expected cache was found after a relatively short search and the log book now contains our name.
Thanks joeylovestreasure for the cache.

Headed to Jindabyne for a weekend away with fitzy_1965. Our aim was to attend the CITO on top of My Koscuisko today.
We were accompanied by Joolay, isopeda, albida33, SpecimenX for the trek to the top, as well as, Aquilus1 & GreyHams for part of the way, but with many other Canberra cachers getting their by other means.
After making it to the top, we did a bit of caching on the way back down. Now heading home, fitzy and I decided to do the AL in Cooma and the bonus. We had a bit of trouble at GZ but thankfully came up with the find.

23,444. Found with minniek (and a whole bunch of Canberra region cachers) on our trip up to the summit of Mount Kosciuszko this weekend.
With a CITO on top of Mount Kosciuszko and a pre-meet event last night in Jindabyne, minniek and I made a last minute decision to join in on the fun. Convoyed down with a few other groups for a few caches, then went our separate ways for even more caches plus the event. Up bright and early this morning and headed out on our alpine adventure. After we had finally reached the top and rested, we headed back down and started the drive home. We had left this AL to do on the way home, and despite counting snow-topped mountains on the wrong mosaic initially, we completed the AL and calculated GZ. Once there our tired bones carried us around the site until I spotted the likely hidey hole - phew. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then returned to the car and headed off to frozen cokes and home.
Thanks joeylovestreasure !!

Out on a caching mission with TikvaNZ, Fox in Jox, SpecimenX and ZQX to get some altitude this weekend! Very excited to walk up Mount Kosciusko- my first time, and excited to get out for my first overnight caching mission in a year. But of course there are plenty of interesting caches to get along the way, and a couple of events to drop in to! Just need to keep cool while we do it, with the first really hot weather forecast this weekend.

Came down with Tankengine to find a few caches and check this one out too.

Decided to come to Cooma today with dty73 for a couple of reasons, and this was one of them! We started just before lunch, and were off to a flying start! However, 2 stops in, and we were getting hungry, so we stopped in town for lunch! After lunch - straight back onto the trail! One or two questions were a little tricky, but we got there in the end! Once at GZ, the cache was quickly found! A very well done AL! Favourite from me. Thanks for the company dty73, and thanks for the cache JLT!
A nice tour around a few familiar spots to do the AL. The only place I haven't been to before is GZ, which was a nice surprise - always like rocks. Also Cooma seems to have escaped the extreme weed growth that is occurring further north, which makes it easier to get around. Dropped some TBs.
Thanks,
Thanks,
We were just passing this little town when we noticed just couple days old mystery right in the center of town and realized it was linked to a lab. We couldn't leave it behind so we went completing the lab and collecting all the info for coordinates. From there on it was pretty simple and soon we had our FTF in our hands with Möntti1! Thank you for placing the lab and this cache!
On the way to snowy mountains we saw this cache. And decided to do some caching around the town. Thanks for these caches. FTF with Junni1
