Today I started my journey homeward in the hope that I may beat the oncoming storms and forecast rain downpours. My travels is going to take me to some new LGA's and so new places, some of which I have never been to before. I am a little excited and hesitant at the same time. I will be taking the trek through Bathurst, Tamworth, Armidale, Toowoomba and then home.Leaving Canberra today, I headed up through Gundaroo and Gunning. I found a cacher on the side of the road (grannysmith) so I stopped and did a couple of caches as we were travelling along. Then it was into Crookwell before I got into Bathurst. Now looking around I saw a couple of fun caches to do and then a FTF popped up that was not so far away. Not knowing who is around here, I headed over to grab it as soon as possible. Job done it was then a few more around town before some dinner and then heading up the road for a nights sleep at a rest stop. Thanks to all the CO's for the caches of my journey thus far. All were signed and replaced as found.
After an encounter with a spider, the previous finder seems to have disposed of this cache, so I'll have to replace it when I'm able to get supplies.
Found ripped plastic bag and damp piece of paper in hidey hole but no cache container. Left a temporary container and dry paper, owner should check and replace. Thanks for caches.
Found with WaywardWoman while caching in the area. Signed log and returned as found.
Did some birdwatching nearby. TFTC

#6992- Continuing our stroll along the path with thomo31 we were expecting…. A gate! Certainly not that. Very cute. 3/3 Thanks
Finally got rid of my blue face for this cache. I like the idea, same it’s not weather proof. TFTC.

Today I decided to head to Bathurst to find a cache or two, and figured I may as well go for a walk and grab a couple along this trail. This was the third and last one for the day, and once I was behind the tree out of sight, the cache was soon spotted. Great little hidey hole.

I finally checked on this cache yesterday and found that my little furry friend has probably been washed away in last year's flood, leaving only a scant reminder of his former presence.
I'm working on a replacement which should be appearing soon.

House sitting in Bathurst, of course, includes Geocaching!
After a "Yellow Star" DNF, it was nice to find a cache here. But only a baggie with a mushy log. Replaced the paper and put it back.
Is the outer container missing?
Log signed and cache replaced as found at 12:35 pm on 4 January 2023. TFTC, Apsley168

Travelling and caching with RoddyC to Canberra & Bathurst before returning home.
Took the escooter for a run. Found GZ but it didn't reveal anything like the photo so started scratching around. A sm plastic bag fell out on the ground. It's contents were mush. Have now left a piece of stone paper in the plastic bag (with holes) at the back of the host.

A chance to get away for a Canberra Long weekend was taken and so fitzy_1965 and I made plans to head to Bathurst. It was our first try at camping in the back of the GeoMover. Whilst it was chilly, it was much better than having to set up a tent in the freezing cold. Snow is definitely on the way!
It has been a while since we headed up this way as evident by the explosion of unfound caches up this way. Always good to find a Joshwa27 cache or two but turned out to be a lot more this weekend. After a cool night in the van, we were up and away quickly for another jam packed day of caching.
All caches were found quickly and easily. Many thanks to all the CO’s.

28,192. Found with minniek during a (mostly) long weekend trip up to the Oberon/Bathurst region hunting "Joshwa27" caches.
Day 2. With a huge number of new Joshwa27 puzzles being published (and solved by us), and a Canberra only long weekend, we decided to head up to the Oberon/Bathurst region for a trial run of our new Camping Van configuration. Lots of J27 caches and many other ones were the result. So much fun was had this weekend despite the nasty weather coming in on Monday. After a quick breakfast we hit the road for many more caches. This was another bonus cache along the way. Quick find once at GZ. Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one.
Thanks Apsley168 !! Cute !

The former spot had become less suitable and I think the new one is much better.

Nice one! Found on the ground in pieces though, have placed where I think it goes and will send CO a message
Geo-granddaughter found this one. What a clever cache. It was out in the open. Think it may have been in the wrong spot. Replaced it. Good fun. Very cute TFTC
Omg super cute! Definitely a love from me!! Now a little jumper spider house!
In Bathurst for Uni and took advantage of finishing early to do a bit of caching. Parking at the park, I walked along the pathway collecting caches on my way back.
This cute little guy was easily found although getting the cache out the back was a little awkward!!! TFTC!
