Thanks TasTyphoons for hiding this cache. Now that my calendar and streak are completed, I can just cache for the fun of it. Your Traditional cache, Blackmans Bay Adventures 2 - Stumped No More, was just what I needed to get me out of the house and exercising. This is my find #1967 at 08:34 on 8/9/2024. Found an empty ziplock bag where I thought it would be, lots of rubbish and crates where I guess some kids have been hanging out. Little dog going nuts so didnt want to stick around too long.

14-Apr-24
Last one for the day I approached from the wrong side, some kids have set up a bench and crates for Monster drinks and snacks. When I went round the other way the cache was quickly spotted not before getting a small blackberry scratch . The little dog in the house behind was going nuts, he doesnt like geocachers . TFTC

Tasmania Trip Day 8. After arriving in Hobart yesterday afternoon and having a nice walk before dinner, today my aim was to visit some counties to the south west of the city. I did not go onto the island, but I did the rest of the counties. It was not the most successful of starts to the day, but I reached the numbers I was hoping for and headed back into town where I went for a much longer walk around the middle of the city and docks to do about six sets of Labs. By the time that was all done I was looking forward to dinner and a long nights rest.I walked down through the park to this area. I was glad of the directions in the hint, but I think the black berries are not too bad at the moment. Thanks for the cache TasTyphoons45986.25 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2009 Compass Rose Copper A#160**Albida**

At a nearby shopping centre, and remembered that this cache had been replaced, so went for a look. Took a couple of minutes looking to spot it, and all good at GZ TFTC

Hip hip Hooray we found it!

22-Nov-23
Coordinates changed from:S 42 59.864 E 147 19.197Coordinates changed to:S 42 59.819 E 147 19.172Distance from original: 295.5 feet or 90.1 meters.I have given up and moved this one away from the previous location - it was muggled way too often. It's moved about 90 metres in a roughly NW direction

22-Nov-23
Replaced and ready to go. You will need something to write with

29-Oct-23
I'm just back from an overseas trip and have a few other priorities - will aim to have a look at this in the next fortnight. Disabling it in the meantime as there seems to be an issue

24-Sep-23
Logs cut down in the area discribed, might be buried or children muggled it

02-Aug-23
I followed the hint closely, but failed to find the cache. There were a large number of school children doing sports games nearby, so I tend to agree with the previous log that kids may have muggled the cache

02-Aug-23
We were not able to find Sad

11-Jun-23
Not able to find, looks like school kid hide area, probably muggled.

25-Feb-23
Just realised I never logged this cache. I signed the logbook last year! Sorry for the late entry!

11-Jan-23
Nice spot

05-Jan-23
I had good fun finding this one with my Geo Daughter. We managed to spy it and never even saw the feature mentioned in the hint as the cache was uncovered. We signed the log and covered it up.

04-Dec-22
A very quick find for me today. Took note of info required for the last in the series.
Thanks for the quick cache!

27-Nov-22
Quick easy find with aadi_is_the_best. Someuggles around but I don't think they noticed us! TFTC Smile)

Tftc, was w/ projectlichen,,, I shouldn't have worn my sandals tbh

26-Oct-22
Finally got back to this one. Nice to see the original ooshie in the cache, the cache in the empty lunch box, and all the toilet paper mentioned in a previous log. At least I know I was definitely looking in the right place before. Thanks for replacing this TasTyphoons and Dragonee

23-Oct-22
Another quick and easy find. TFTC again!

23-Oct-22
BYO pen or a sharpener. Nice walk to solve this adventure

Log to follow

14-Jul-22
Went to GZ with Ja1m3_Cee. Upon arriving at GZ, there was soiled TP all over the area soooo was not about to go digging around the area. Will try again at a much later time.

28-Jun-22
Out and about in the Kingborough area doing some errands, visiting some friends and doing a bit of geocaching. Came upon this series accidentally and as I had to go to the shopping centre, decided to look for this one. Found 2 containers - one out in the open and one hidden. Presumed that the smaller one should be inside the bigger one, so returned them both to the hidden spot out of view. Looks like it might be a hideout, as there was lots of rubbish about so hopefully it stays hidden from muggle eyes. TFTC.

05-Jun-22
Found my marauders

24-May-22
Well that certainly had us stumped for a while but found it eventually.

21-May-22
I have replaced the cache - apologies this took a while. I'm not convinced it will survive - but will give it another try

25-Apr-22
Just a lonely ooshie

16-Apr-22
Seems this has probably been muggled again. With the GPS settling at less than 1m and a pretty obvious spot, I found a large piece of bark, 2 small rocks, and a Pumbaa ooshie sitting on top. No cache...

16-Apr-22
It seems this may be missing. I'm not around for the next few weeks but will check when I get back. A couple of people have sent photos - thank you - but I can't tell whether that is the right spot or not.

It is no longer in the original stump (stumped no more) that stood on it's own. It is now in a tree in a small copse nearby (or should be)

10-Apr-22
DNF. Found a swappable though.

23-Jan-22
Easy as!

18-Jan-22
Thanks for a nice little cache
Quick easy find cache in great dry condition

Yay! QOTSA and I are on another mission for the new reach the peak challenge. We our first find for the day. We are needing 20 finds all up. Thanks for placing this cache

11-Jan-22
Thanks for the cache.

12-Dec-21
We are visiting family who live in Blackmans Bay and as we were out walking our eagle eyed son spotted what he believed was a cache. We had thought we’d found all the caches in the area so checked the map. Lo and behold, there was a new series since we had visited last. So we convinced our grandson to go on a treasure hunt with us. It was a great circuit and all the caches were easily found, partly because of the very descriptive hints. Thanks so much for this series of caches, we thoroughly enjoyed the adventure.

27-Oct-21
Thought I was back at school. TFTC

24-Aug-21
We decided that because this morning was such a beautiful sunny day that we would venture south to find some caches that have been published since our last visit or caches that were missing on our last visit. However the temperature in places were fairly low as our car kept telling us to be careful due to ice on the road (3 degrees or lower). Before we arrived at the first cache, we had a bit of drama. Going down a hill and slowing down due to road works, the ute behind us lost 3 melamine sheeting. These sheetings went straight towards us, luckily only hitting our back tyres then flying upwards, thankfully landing on the road behind us. We stopped and the Ute behind us stopped to check both our car for any damage and to pick up the 3 sheetings, which were only slightly damaged on the edgings. One “P” plater was a bit shaken and very sorry for what happened. The 3 sheets from the road and the 3 remaining on top of the Ute were moved to the back of the Ute, hopefully staying there until they reach their destination.

Had DNF’d this one once before and we decided today was the day to make a smilie instead of a sad face! We signed after mr_johna (think I wrote wrong date 22/8..oops) and didn’t see any other signatures, which is strange! Maybe they were on a different part of the log book????

Thanks for replacing.

19-Jul-21
3 BBA caches in a short loop looked attractive so i made my way the this the 1st one found.
Obeyed the instructions and avoided the stump and found myself at GZ in a jiffy to make a quick find [^]

SL at 11:39 on Monday 19 July 2021.
The cache and contents are in A1 condition. Re-hid a wee bit better than found as i could see it before i got to it.

TFTC TasTyphoons and Dragonee Smile

16-Jul-21
Found pretty much straight away. Nice spot.

12-Jul-21
Nice hide

09-Jul-21
Was a good hide!

08-Jul-21
About the 5th trip to the Kingston area in 2 weeks to fill in days for my found date calendar. There seem to be a lot down here i haven't found yet.
Cache found with a fresh blank (new) log book.
Remembered to make a note of the lid this time because i forgot on the last one.

08-Jul-21
????

03-Jul-21
Finally found!!!! Wouldn't call it a stump though! :p

26-Jun-21
Replaced in a bit of a hurry so it only contains a log - no writing tool and no swaps. Will try to rectify this soon

26-Jun-21
Coordinates changed from:
S 42° 59.855 E 147° 19.200

Coordinates changed to:
S 42° 59.864 E 147° 19.197

Distance from original: 56.4 feet or 17.2 meters.

This one went missing a few times and we had no confidence this wouldn't continue to occur. Hopefully the new spot - very close by - will be more long term

The GPS was a bit twitchy - please let me know in your posts if you have had to rely on the hint rather than the coordinates

20-Jun-21
There has been a series of DNFs so looks like this one is missing. I’ll check it next weekend and replace - although we might look for a different hiding spot

19-Jun-21
Good search but not found

19-Jun-21
Not there?

14-Jun-21
Nothing in the stump

01-Jun-21
Mr 4 and I searched the area but did not find. Could be that we are cached out for the day.

20-May-21
Today we decided to head to Kingston - Snug and surrounds and towards Mount Wellington to find a few more caches that we have not found and to make them a smilie. A great day out, not too cold, sun out allowed us to enjoy the great outdoors.

We collected the required information, a quick find at GZ. Cache and contents were in good condition.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

24-Apr-21
Found it

17-Apr-21
After a DNF on our previous visit here, stainless steel rat and I came back in the dark after an event at Margate to find this. We were able to park just metres away and made a quick find before heading home to our patiently waiting loved ones.
A good day out, and happy to turn this frown around.
Thanks TasTyphoons

13-Apr-21
saw this one was back in action, so took a short detour on my run home to collect it. TFTC

07-Apr-21
Decided it was time to attempt this trail close to home. First one nice and quick TFTC

05-Apr-21
This has been replaced. It is covered with a lot of bark -hopefully it lasts a while longer

28-Mar-21
Found the hiding place but pretty sure I was smuggled. We will have to come back another time to change this to a smiley.

26-Mar-21
Two very experienced cachers have logged this as a DNF - and it isn't a tricky hide. I think it is very likely that it is missing.

I am interstate until Easter but will aim to have this back in action on the Friday or Saturday of the Easter break. In the meantime, if you are planning to do the series including the final, please message me so I can provide the missing coordinate

26-Mar-21
Lady membsec had an appointment in town so we decided to continue heading south after that appointment. The weather was perfect for caching.

Nothing there! We tried to contact the CO but unfortunately GC was down so we did a PAF to get the clue.

21-Mar-21
It sounds like there may be an issue here. I’m away until Easter but will see if I can get someone to go by for a look. In the meantime, if you need the missing information for the coordinates to no.5, just send me a message

Couldnt find this one and have messaged the CO with a picture of GZ, we removed all the cover and it wasnt just well hidden.

Later we guessed the number so still found the bonus.

Thanks for the series

20-Mar-21
Disappointing to miss one of the series. but after digging a lot of bark and sticks out we found nothing but a foil wrapper. We were able to work out the finals from what we had to find Blackmans Bay Adventures 5 though.
SSR messaged CO to advise

Hello TasTyphoons thank you for the cache

This one was a nice quick find and the third find in this series.
This is when I realize this one had some information I required and tat I didn't get it from two other caches so I had to go back and refined two of your caches to get the information required.

Found on Thursday, 04 February 2021 at 1459

It’s was fun Smile

30-Dec-20
We had found one of the caches in this series sometime ago but didn't have time to look for others at the time. Today we returned. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks TasTyphoons and Dragonee for the cache and the good mini series.

20-Dec-20
Found ... Looked a bit too easy to accidentally spot so added some more leaf litter / bark when replacing

20-Dec-20
Good one liked it Smile

06-Dec-20
A quick find - no activity in the nearby facility made for an easy find.
Thanks for the cache, TasTyphoons and Dragonee ! Big Grin

05-Dec-20
Thanks for the cache TasTyphoons and Dragonee.
After a busy morning, RLD4963, the GeoGSP and I headed out to grab a few geocaches before the rain arrived.
We thought we had time to complete this series, so here we were at no 2. There was construction nearby but all safe at GZ and the cache was quickly found.

05-Dec-20

A day caching with Oldsaint started on the domain and ended up in the channel.

Ok, with the business closed today, parked basically on top of the cache. Nice hide spot, although not hidden well, so signed log and rehid very well

Thanks for this cache, and for the series TasTyphoons and Dragonee.
Found this afternoon with KingSmev. A nice quick find based on the cache name, and only a couple of muggles to be aware of, but no problems.
Now heading go #3.
Cheers, EPs.

Hi TasTyphoons and Dragonee,
TFTC,
Out and about this afternoon with EeePees working on my Wonders of the World challenge. This was a good little series. Not too hard to follow and was a good trip around some parts of Blackmans Bay I had forgotten about.
Thanks again,
KingSmev

We took a shortcut through the school to get this one. Mr 6 was hunting around in the wrong spot and Miss 3yo got the find for this one. We headed back towards the car and had a stop by at nan and pops house on the way. What a fantastic cache series! We have had an amazing afternoon. We have the hints for the extra cache, will find that one tomorrow. Thanks!

12-Oct-20
Quick find after dinner, so nobody about.
Thanks

11-Oct-20
After doing maintenance on a few of our caches at South Arm we thought we would head to find the new caches at Blackmans Bay (only 8.5 km away in a straight line) but well over 55 km by road. We enjoyed the drive and the series. Thanks TasTyphoons and Dragonee for placing more caches in this area. We parked near GZ and soon found the well stocked cache and signed the log. TFTC

11-Oct-20
Nice to have a kid-friendly series published so close to home. Loved the name, the geokids found this one easily. TFTC
