I had gone for a walk with a friend and as I was heading back I decided to make a detour and try for a couple of caches here. I parked near the suggested spot and walked up the hill. Being a humid day I was soon perspiring profusely. Once at GZ I started my search and soon spotted something and had CIH. I had to clear some of the cache guardian's camo to get to it. Log signed and all replaced and I continued on to the next one. TFTC.
Nice easy find. Stopped for a light fruity free snack after locating and replacing the cache
Found it! Took a while until I was in a dopey mood and started feelin the place and finally found it made myself look stupid haha TFTC
Took a while to find as the best end to see it all was at the back of its hide hole
A few spots to look but luckily I put my hand on this one fairly quickly.
Thanks, ALL7!
Thanks, ALL7!
Today was an after work caching trip. I targeted a particular D/T for the first cache to complete my 12th lap of the DT grid. This took me to Queanbeyan for the afternoon.
This is a big road, but there was not much traffic. The barrier makes a huge difference to the noise., but does host a lot of spider webs along with the cache.
Thanks for the cache ALL7

Parked at the recommended spot and hiked my way up the hill to GZ. Checked the obvious spot without sighting anything, checked out another possible object nearby before returning to the original place where I soon had cache in hand. Log signed

Quick find, nice cache, all in good order.
Thank you ALL7 for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Nice hide. Must have been the four leaf clovers that gave us luck to find it!

After today's events, I needed to get out and about for some exercise and to find a few caches. Cache soon found after a short wander from the parking coordinates. TFTC.

The CO didn't say a word whilst we looked for this cache, but DSD's beady eyes had landed on it almost straight away, nice! Was extremely surprised by the container used though! Not what I expected to see! There ya go....
Thanks ALL7

Out caching today with DSD and ALL7 before heading to the Community Celebration event in the city at 5pm.
We started with the new ALL7 power trail caches that myself and DSD had not yet collected, as we still had some gaps after getting FTF on a bunch and running out of time the other day! Our third visit to this trail, but we managed to tick them off finally It was good to have the CO there especially for the one we DNF'd last time..... tough little thing!
We soon ran into J+J.au and teamed up for the final caches in the trail, before joining out heads together for a very tough AL in Captains Flat. Despite there being 5 people and a total of 59,000 finds between our accounts, we still couldn't work out the AL without help, TWICE! But got there eventually and the bonus made up for it all.
We then headed back towards Canberra, picking up a couple caches along the way, before making our way to the event to quench our thirst and hunger with some sausages and soft drink! Well done Tikva, an absolutely fabulous event to end a good Sunday of caching, the crowd that showed up was impressive too!
Thanks to all the CO's for today's caches!

Today Loci612, All7 and I went to do the new power trails between Captains Flat and Braidwood. It was a lovely sunny day so we had the Air Conditioner on for most of the day. It was very windy in the morning and just hot and dry in the late afternoon.
A great day out, weather aside, and TikvaNZ's celebration event was a nice way to end the day by the lake and with absence of the crazy wind, finally! Nice to have a chat and the cake and sausages were great, as was the nice ice cold drinks but sadly I could not stay longer as a New Adventure Lab Cache was published. Loci612 and I took off like bulls at a gate. Before long we finished the Adventure Lab and had the Bonus Cache in hand to claim the First To Find.
Thanks for your event that was part of an enjoyable day! All up I placed 14 Multi Caches and found just over 30. Lets not forget the FTF also. Not a bad day at all
I have included one of the Geocaching poems that I have written. I hope that anyone reading it likes it. Thanks for all the caches and sorry for the generic log for this cache but with 30 plus finds including the 10 Adventure Lab stages it is hard to write a different one for each cache.
Thanks TikvaNZ this was an excellent event..

Geocache Poem
By DARKSIDEDAN
My endless search goes on and on
Looking for treasures of every kind
Always chasing just one more find
Putting past DNF’s out of my mind
I step out into the world outside,
Seeking what is hidden from me
What size, shape or form will it be?
Only time will tell, I can’t wait to see
Will I find my prize at the end?
I will search in the failing light and cold
Filling with despair having looked everywhere
Where is this thing that gives my life pleasure?
Looking all around from every angle
I read the logs and check the hint
I curse out loud as I walk in circles
Screaming the bloody thing it not there
As time flies by and I fail to see,
Never once stopping to realize
It always been there before my eyes
No need for sorrow, there’s the Geocache.

I am currently writing more detailed logs than usual. This is because of a challenge provided by Project-GC called "The Author" Badge. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to write an average of one hundred words or more in each Found It log. As of 30th November 2020 my average was 160 words per log, which seems close to the 200 words per log target. However given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After 7600 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 160 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before this year ends. Progress has been better than anticipated.

22,059. Found during a meander around Canberra today collecting some caches.
After doing a puzzle cache this morning with minniek, then dropping her off at work, I headed out and about to grab a certain number of caches to fulfil a challenge I'm doing. This was my first trip out to see the new road and bridge. Parked in a certain place (Shh not saying where) and wandered over to GZ. Once again it was a fun area to search, and I quickly came up with the find - Yay ! Signed the log, replaced the cache, then headed off to the next one.
Thanks ALL7 !!

After the group assault of the mega tree we headed to Hume for some errands before returning to join Rapidlywild to attack some of the caches that had popped up in and around Jerrabomberra we also now had InnocentApple and ALL7 joining us after catching up at a previous cache.
Parked under the bridge at this one and strolled up the hill. Got to GZ and cache was soon in hand. Signed and on our way back down to the cars.
Thanks for the hide ALL7

FFLL#1, FFLL#2, Rapidwild and ALL7 accompanied me to collect the handful of caches in the area. TFTC.
After the group assault on the unfound (now found) cache, the FFLL ladies and myself headed off for some local caches, caught up with ALL7 and IA to grab some more too. This area sure has grown quite a bit since my last visit!
Parked at the parking WP and went for the wander, where did this hill come from? lol Managed to locate this cache nice and quickly, signed and replaced. Off we go towards the next cache Thanks for the placement ALL7

Parking nearby it was a quick walk to GZ. Found quickly in the obvious spot. TNLNSL TFTC
Wonderful view. Not too long spent searching at GZ. Only a fixed number of possible locations. TFTC!
*FTF* 2.05PM with Tankengine and dty73. Out to get a daily cache with dty73 so off to Queanbeyan as its rich with unfound caches for us both. Going past the city and a message had us returning home again, sorted and we were on our way when new caches appeared, one right where we were going!
Slight problem as we needed fuel so into the airport, actually was a good move as its super cheap, and also as we were leaving a new cache and its on the way, only 4km away! That cache found we continued along to this one, a little tricky to navigate as my maps haven't updated with the upgrades but worked out regardless as Tankengine pulled in off the main road just behind us.
He mentioned the parking WP so we drove around and then up the hill to GZ. Lots of little nooks and options for a cache and after a short search TE was onto a possibility and the cache was retrieved for a blank log. Thanks for the cache ALL7.

Chooo ooo [FTF] - with dty73 and aquilus1! A nice bridge, if I don't say so myself! Thanks ALL7.
