#14,875. Park, walk and grab on Riverside Road in Whataupoko, Gisborne. The GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Relatively quick find. Excellent hide. The cache itself was in good condition. Although the log was a bit damp, it was still ok to write on. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.Favorite point added for the hide and clever title.*Thanks for the geocache placement, and for bringing us to this site, and **.T h a n k s. .f o r. .t h e. .c a c h e.**.M a u r u u r u. .k o e. .n u i. .a t u. .h o k i. .t e. .k e t e r o k i.*
This was my first cashe in a while (like 5 years) but it was an excellent cashe for my first one. Thanks!
Today we had a good drive / wander round the town and picked up several caches - trads, puzzles we had solved and a few multis worked on today too.Having found several of this COs caches we had been told of this one - parked nearby and wandered over to GZ. Likely candidate spotted and logsheet was soon in hand. Fun container getting an FP from usWe later happened to bump into the COs and a lovely chat had - nice to meet you both TFTCTim and Viv - ddm
Loved it!! Bit of trouble opening and things a bit damp but dried it off as best as we could. Out with the grandies - TFTC
Great to meet rubbish party tonight. After chatting with them realised we had the correct hint item. Loved this cache, a lot of effort gone into it. Worth a favourite point here. Hope to see you both again sometime
Called in to meet Rubbishparty. Great to meet some other cachers. Found the cache but wasn't until we talked to Rp we knew we had the right object. Fav point. Tftc
Summer Geocaching Road Trip - Day 4 - In and around Gisborne. It's been a while since I've been off on a road trip and this one has been on the cards for quite a while. I plan to visit some parts of the country where I've done very little caching before and hope to complete the qualification for a challenge cache in Nelson. Not the first time I've encountered this type of cache but it's definitely 'cool' or should that be 'hot' - TFTC, Biggles.
Excellent cache! GPS was all over the place but my 5 year old knew where the cache was as soon as she saw it. A fun wee cache! TFTC!
Found when out & about with COs. Cool cache, and interesting/frightening story behind it, thanks Rubbishparty!
This is a quality hide, I would give it a FP but only have one left and it is earmarked for another quality hide from the same CO. The GPS was bouncing around a bit on this one but using the stratagem of ‘does anything look out of place here’ it did not take too long to secure. TFTC
Went kinda late at night and got to meet owners as they drove in to go home! Lovely people, found it after awhile, was kinda worried it wasn’t right at first, super interesting tftc!!
After doing three new caches that the CO has recently put out, I got a message saying we should pop over for this cache and a chat.
Realizing we had some time still before departing we popped over.
Right as we arrived, the CO did as well. The pressure was a bit on for the find, but we spotted it quickly.
Took us a minute to get it open though, realized I needed to use a bit more muscle!
After signing in, we wandered down and had a good chat with the COs.
Was a pleasure to get to know you more, thanks for inviting us around!
I’m sure we will see you again!

We thought since the COs had kindly invited us around for tea, they'd understand if we were late because we couldn't go past another cache
A little bit of a search and something interesting was soon spotted. There's always that moment of 'what if it's not' but being seasoned geocachers we threw caution to the wind and pried the top off to find what we were after. Then we had to find out the story to go with it.
Great cache (and great evening). Many thanks

Ahh we remembered discussions about your unfortunate incident at the Rotorua Event, so were not surprised to hear of it again. Thanks for the clever cache hide. TFTC

Awesome to find such a unique geocache. Was a bit hesitant incase it wasn't it but turned out to be it!
Enjoyed this clever cache and meeting the owners for a coffee and chat. Thanks Rubbishparty.
we knew general location so it was a matter of spotting something that was out of place.
looked in here and over there but kept coming back to 1 item.
removed and with a bit of brute strength i opened it and log fell out
great cache probably best for today
thanks rubbishparty

With (Mr) Davidson clan, Gap (of Fap and Gap), and McJandals. We planned a Gisborne roadtrip in August to get a jump on the Reach the Peak challenge, but Covid-19 lockdowns stuffed up our plans. As soon as levels allowed for it, our outing was back on the table. Today’s one-day mission meant getting up and away by 4AM…
When visiting other towns, it's always interesting to visit places outside of the usual. We saw a bit more of Gisborne as we weaved through suburban streets... We took note of the object at the head of the driveway. We spent some time examining the possibilities until something else got our attention. Gap manhandled this apparatus and the logbook emerged. We liked this one so much so, it was a firm favourite for today. Thanks to the COs for all of their cache contributions and fun today - Thanks Rubbishparty and TFTC.

A plan was hatched recently to hit the Gisborne area this weekend. Nice to get away after the recent lockdown and grab some smiles. Signed logs Team BoP to save room on log sheets. Best one all day. Fp.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

Had an early start of 4am today arriving into Gisborne at 730am. Thanks for all the hides. This is definitely the best cache today thanks for your help today we see you have visitors so have carried on our way FP added.
Hmm ... yes? no? yes! Very original and creative, a caching highlight here in Gisborne. Thanks Rubbishparty and another deserved favourite added.
What a neat idea for a cache! Exciting to see new ones popping up. I'm inspired TFTC TNLN
This was my last cache I found on this trip to Gisborne. The cache fits well with the title. It is worth a fave.
Cheers for the cache.
