Thanks Angus88 for placing Pitcairn Bushland Reserve #4. Swampy and I headed back to plunder more of the Northern coast over the Hobart Show long weekend. 4 day long weekend for 1 days annual leave. Sweet. This is day 4. We are heading for Launceston via Port Sorell. At least my log is not full of bad 80s references. This run has us finding both GC and GCA caches. So many caches, so little time. This is my GC find #2227 and was found on 27/10/2024 at 09:29FTF: Found with: SwampyWeather: fairMuggles: noneLight level: goodCache condition: goodDistance from GZ: Your cache was visited by my trackables: TB9QQD2, TB9KZ39 and TB7HH81
Hi Angus88. Today we found your cache on the Devo trip for the year. VK7HCH and I hatched yet another plan to whip it up to the north to continue our plundering of caches both GC and GCA. As there are so many caches in this area we had freedom of choice to do those we wished to. We have solved a few puzzles so we can find those and lots of others. Although I didnt find the girl U want, the caches were enough. Its a beautiful world here in Tassie. Thanks for hiding the cache for us to find today. Finding this cache takes my GC finds to 5278 and I found it on Sunday 27 Oct 2024FTF: NoMates: VK7HCHMuggles: Condition: GoodWeather: cloudyMy favorites:Creative - Back to the future 1 by peaches (GCA5JYD)Hardest - Men in Black Holes by SG-3 (Archived)Most visited - Dragons Lair by Shagzter (GC2E33)Tractable also visited your cache
Back to Port Sorell today to hopefully find the last of the caches here as we try to get to 25k by the end of November. Its a futile quest but if you dont try it has zero chance. We had a lovely day walking the reserves with splendid weather and a tasty picnic lunch. This one was barely covered so added some cammo. TFTC Angus
Quick walk after the wild weather and floods. Powerlines down everywhere. Cache waterlogged but signable. Signed log. TFTC
Back in Devonport for a few weeks, looking after grandchildren. A great opportunity to go on adventure each day.Had a DNF previously so nice to convert to a smiley. A quick find at GZ.Thanks Angus88 for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
Looked high and looked low but no luckf for us here today. Maybe next time. Thanks

Bunadoorian and I decided to go for a walk this frosty -1 morning. Cache found quickly. The covering was covered with frost which made for a great photo. TFTC and for bringing us here to this lovely parkland - Angus88. Find 2 for today.
On a frosty morning Grub62 and I decided that a short walk and a few caches would be in order. A nice easy find using the hint. TFTC.
Camped in Deloraine today , off to Port Sorell for a few caches I missed on the last trip and any new ones which have gone down. TFTC
After a few bevvies and a bit of a rest, i was primed for an arvo walk to grab some "close to my accommodation" hides on foot. This being a bit further from where i'm staying, was the 5th after my break

We needed a find today to fill a gap on our caching calendar so decided to visit the Port Sorell/Shearwater area again to try to find a few more of the multitude out this way. This was a quick find with the aid of good coordinates and a useful hint. Thanks for the cache
With Easter off from work, it was a good opportunity to try and close the gap on my target for the year. 500 finds for the year is the target, and this run brought me up to 230 odd, so only 3 months in I am on track for this target.
The highlight (and hardest part of this day) was the walk out to the cache Lieu-Pine-Ner at Point Sorell. The walk was challenging due to the number of rocks being very uneven. I was hoping 2 hours, but in the end it took 3 hours. Geo Kid O was still going strong at the end, but it had taxed me.
Thank you for placing this cache and maintaining it.
Lovely little walk to this cache

Out and about caching with Tassie Trekkers around Port Sorell, Squeaking Point, Shearwater and Hawley area and this was one that was targetted. An absolutely glorious day to be out caching. Certainly a lovely reserve.TFTC

This cache was a nice easy find ..beautiful day for enjoyable walk round the Pitcairn bushland reserve track....Tftc
So its after five on a perfect autumn afternoon and we're finishing a couple of busy caching days with a quadrella of Angus88's. Bikes are king around this entire area, with so many excellent footpaths, quiet streets, bush tracks and fantastic bike/walkways. This and two more close by were easily had and logged. All in good nick and useful hidey holes. TFTC Angus88
Found with Lil Rafa and the geogsp. Staying in Port Sorell for a couple of days. Lovely sunny afternoon for a walk, great walking track. A new cache in this reserve since our last visit to the area. TFTC TNLN log dry.
Thanks for the cache Angus88.
In the area for a couple of days with RLD4963 and the GeoGSP.
When we visited this reserve back in October, this and caches #2 and #3 had not been published, so we were keen to revisit today and complete the series.
All three caches we found today were nice quick finds, and all containers are in good order.
Many thanks for adding to the caches in the area.

Another quick find in a busy place with bike riders and walkers constantly passing.
Like the idea of the double containers, after all the rain out here last night the log books stay nice and dry when presented this way.
Thanks.

Great find. We are new to geo caching and also don't live here so this has been a great way to explore the town.
Thank you for the cache from GeoMaggie and her sidekick Bonnie. Nice early morning walk
Again, all was quiet when we arrived at this location. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Angus88 for the cache.
When I saw the three new caches in Pitcairn Reserve published mid morning it was my intention to look for them the next day but when checking the BOM for weather and seeing rain was forecast, not having much else to do I made the a quick trip to Port Sorell and managed to find them without any difficulty. As I approached this GZ I realized, typical me, I could have parked much closer and had less of a walk. Now for the hike back to the geomobile.
