My pup Onyx & I are staying around the area following the JLWE & thought it was about time I checked out Dead Man's Pass and do the Adventure Lab cache here.Such a beautiful park to walk my pup and easily found the answers to the Lab cache. After entering the coordinates for the final I discovered I had walked beyond them so a quick about face & up to GZ. The cache was found quickly, signed & placed back as found. There were not many people around, perhaps because it is a Monday. Onyx enjoyed meeting & greeting the few people and pooches in the park today.TFTC & the Adventure, SA Sewer Rats

Yesterday morning I went out early and got the Gawler lab caches, and thought I might as well get this final as I suspected it was in the same area. Yup, it is. Started hunting at but was slowed due to a bee hive in one of the hollows at GZ. And then one of the bees got stuck in my hair. I have short hair, too. She was getting a bit agitated but obviously not threatened - I was not stung. Eventually I tried taking my glasses off - yep, that worked and she flew away happy.But I also remembered that I had a 9am appopintment, and so I abandoned the search and left.Today I am back - today is a size regular dot-day. I really should not have looked for that cache yesterday. So I am here again, ignoring all the hollows I had checked earlier (although I did check in on the bees again, just to say hi).Nice easy find. Thanks for the cache

Looking at the local map for options I reckoned this Ad Lab series and bonus cache were just the thing in temperatures showing 38 on the car thermometer. The hear did not disappoint, nor did the adventure and I was soon heading to indicated GZ. There was a sizeable wasps nest in the vicinity but skirted round that and easily made the find. All good here and replaced as found. Interesting place to visit, thanks for bringing me here.Have a longish day today with some driving required later on and an early start tomorrow with an airport run. A quick cache and grab on the way into work, then a drive out to Gawler after lunch but was too hot to really get into it so only a few finds there. Cheers to the COs.

Caching with Nanzie and IsisNZ. We have had a wonderful time caching in South Australia and at the Leap Day Mega. Now unfortunately we must head for home - - - but just a few Ad Labs and sundry caches along the way. I enjoyed our walk along Dead Man's Pass There were lots of groups out picking up rubbish for Clean Up Australia Day and we also saw some of the numerous bird houses being checked. Thanks for the Ad Labs and the bonus.(Apologies for the late logging but somehow this got missed during my previous logging sessions.)

Heading home today and we're a bit sad about that because we've had an awesome time caching our little socks off. I enjoyed our walk ticking off the Ad labs. Over from Perth for few days to attend the Leap Day Mega. Today's plan was to head out to explore Gawler and the Barossa, with a selection of caches on the way / during the day that either piqued my interest... or I just happened to be passing by Was keen to complete the feeder ad lab as the location sounded a lovely place for a walk - and it didn't disappoint. Nice little bonus whilst finding the right answers to the ad lab. TFTC SA Sewer Rats, enjoyed my walk but the phone quite flat, missed the last 2 trads.

I had a lovely ride out to Lyndoch early this morning. found a few caches. This was my final goal for the day. The AL was very easy to pedal around and I was happy with a quick find at GZ as the sun had made its way out form the clouds and it was getting unpleasantly warm.

We were staying in Gawler for a few days, so decided to go for a wander to stretch our legs, find some Munzees, do the AL and had this bonus at the end. TFTC & adventure! Favourite point added for the overall experience!Tip for future finders: the cache is not in the hollow with the bee swarm (its well clear) & also no need to reach deep either!

Having made my way from Bordertown to Gawler for the night, I set about grabbing the Adlab caches and then finally, this, the bonus. Nice simple find with spot on co-ordinates.Thanks to SA Sewer Rats for the enjoyable walk, the Adlab and the bonus.

Continuing my South Australian adventure. Today, I decided to do the Dead Man's Pass adventure lab. Once completed, I sat on the chair and calculated the coords for GZ. A short stroll later, I was at GZ. There, a quick find was made. With my name added to the log and everything returned as found, I continued on my way. TFTC

TFTC. Nice little adventurelab stroll with the pup . Co ords collected and bonus cache guarded by a lizard was signed. Didnt know about the equestrian history here. Lovely to see all the bird boxes up in various treesand a family of ducks on the water. Left baby

I had to drop one of the Famous IV at the Aquadome this morning and pick her up at 4 so a day of collecting caches in the northern suburbs was the way to fill time. More than 30 caches were found before I got sick of looking and retired to the Old Spot Hotel for a few beers (although the Red Lion, the Midway and the Elizabeth Tavern were tempting I gave them a miss). Highlight of the day was the walk through the beautiful Dead Man’s Pass. Plenty of good hides but had to give up on some or not start due to friendly muggles. I can recommend the schnitzel at Murray’s BBQ and Beer in Gawler. Thanks to all cache owners in this part of the world…every time I come up this way there are new streets and suburbs but it was good to see there is still some canola, broad beans and oats being grown - however I don’t think that will happen for too much longer.

In Gawler from WA for a mercy dash last week. Had some spare time today to do some caching. Never been up dead mans pass and the reserve. Very nice reserve and a nice stroll doing the lab. Great to see some old sights from the 3 day horse trials. Found the answers for the lab and punched the coordinates into my phone and headed off to the cache. It was a very quick find indeed. Thanks for the cache SA Sewer Rats and for bringing me here for a nice morning stroll.

Finally an opportunity to grab this and the AL between downpours. What a sad day that saw me sorting out the pantry of all things. Lots of people walking their dogs and kids and both. One dog followed me to gz, I’m sure it’s owner thought I had been trying to hide.

Having targetted the Adventure Lab in Dead Man's Pass today, we decided to find the Bonus lab cache too, just to complete things!
Gathered the required info as we were doing the Adventure Lab, so just needed to do a little extra work and the cache was in hand.
We really enjoyed our caching experience in Dead Man's Pass today. Thank you SA Sewer Rats.

Called into the S.A. Sewer Rat's nest for a cuppa. Mrs. Sewer rat had an appointment so I offered to drop her off. Off course that meant taking a longer route past a cache or two. Once I had dropped off Mrs Rat it was time for a walk in Dead Man's Pass.

A very pleasant walk along the river to get to this cache. The water was almost to the top of the fords needed to access that side of the river. As I approached GZ I heard a familiar buzzing and stopped short to check the hint. On no. Bees are coming out of the hollow. Check of the compass and it was point slightly away so veering around the bees I checked out some other likely spots and soon spotted the cache. FP for the lovely walk. [:X]

This was my first adventure lab bonus cache.

Out for a caching day with The von Smiths. I was teaching them about lab caches and we did this series before heading on to the final at the end. It took a couple of laps to find the nicely hidden cache as there were a few bees around in a potential hidey hole - we didn't want to get too close! The cache was nicely tucked away and lots of swaps for the younger ones. TFTC SA Sewer Rats! A nice walk in a new location today.

What a lovely place to meander through today while finding the information for the AL that is associated with this cache. Had been looking for this cache with a pram. Do I leave it ? Am I quick enough to get cache and not be up for abandoning the GeoGodDaughter, Acacia(!) Chose to invest some energy, looked in all the right and wrong places then the most obvious one. Grabbed a few pics, sent them to CO and back to the newest cacher in the family. Did this bonus and AdLab over 2 days cos I'd written something wrong (sounds about right) and co-ords had me out at Lewiston (well, my datum did!) Rang CO to confirm the long and lat of cache and soon this adventure came together. TYFTC SLTNLN

Today I decided to head out for a days caching with it being a public holiday and not having anything else to do. I find Australia Day to be a pointless day off if not attached to a weekend, change the date and make it always be attached to a weekend.
It was quite a warm day which didn’t hinder my 15000 step count but made for thirsty work.
Found 40 caches for the day, very productive. Some great hides today in Gawler and Nuriootpa. Still so many to come back for, need to get some puzzles solved.
Thankfully no snakes spied today.
Finished the day off with a lovely Zambreros in Gawler on the way home.
My appreciative thanks to all the COs for the wonderful hides.
Found the log book outside the box so it was very wet may need some CO attention. Stamped and placed back in the cache. Nice walk to start the morning. TFTC

Adelaide and South Australia Trip Christmas 2021/2022. Day 17. The next phase of my journey is underway. I was with Fitzy_1965, MinnieK, Sol de Lune and Smitten Granny to attempt to finish the On You Bike where-i-go caches. We have managed to solve them all before we arrived. Day 7 in the River land. As we had accomplished the On your Bike caches, the others headed back east to stop at Mildura for the paddle steamer caches, but I am based in Adelaide at the moment, so could not go. This was my last day up North, and I spent it around Sedan tackling the caches in that region, before heading back to Adelaide stopping for some Labs along the way.

This trip to Loxton had been a year coming as I had missed out last year due to other commitments. The group had increased and the target list of caches was much higher. It had been a group effort to deal with all the jigsaw puzzles and then the Reverse Where-i-gos were sorted out with the various online tools. The trip was looking at risk as the COVID situation stretched and stretched, but at least SA kept to its plans to open the borders and we all jumped through the hoops required to get across the border. The weather was looking extreme as the journey approached and it did not disappoint. The daytime temps were from 36-42 over the days of this exercise and it made for some hard work and lots of water usage.

I wanted to do the labs here, so walked up the pass and managed to collect all the information for this cache as well.

This was very tricky but once we worked out you had to go to the place where the coordinates led first we found it easy

I had an enjoyable meander while learning about the deadman tonight. Thanks for the bonus cache. It maketh the lab. TFTC

After figuring out I needed the Adventure Lab app I set off through Dead Man's Pass which is a place I walk through often. The first sign was hard to read read but found the answer and off I went. Each answer was found, coordinates plugged in and the bonus cache found. Nearly gave up as it was so hot and was worried about critters in the brush. Spotted the goods just as I was about to head back to the car. Log signed and placed back. TFTC!

Staying in Gawler Gateway for a bit. Today we headed out to Gawler to pick some repaired parts for the caravan.
Managed to convert a few solved puzzles and caches in the area to smilies.
