I came to New Zealand with my wife on honeymoon
It is hard to log all the caches, I found here in New Zealand, so excuse my mass log for caches around Orewa, please
At first i started with caches around Estuary Cycleway, then to Red Beach, Hatfield´s Beach, Millwater and Silverdale. Some of the caches are now disabled as i can see, and some of them were disabled, but were on place.
After consulting with owner I made maintanance on some of disabled and missing caches.
I found many really nice caches...it was awesome, but i think, that some of them (for example Bison caches) have too low D/T combos...but owners are really helpful, so I managed to find each of them. I usually borrowed bike from my brother in law and then in the early morning, or in evening went geocaching. I really liked that routine. So I´m really thankful for all the caches on/near Estuary
I need to write here, that I really like nature in NZ...its a big difference between Europe :/
So – TFTC, guys, and especially The Wonder Stuff for placing and G-2 for placing and hints...and sry for mistakes in my poor English...have a nice day(s) there and u should come to find some caches here in Slovak Republic

Beautiful sunny Boxing Day to do this Orewa to Millwater & back around to Orewa loop. Found the hint but not the Cache.

We had an appointment in Silverdale this afternoon and planned to pick up a few caches afterwards. Our first stop was at a Steel post. As we arrived there was a tractor mower coming through a gate in the fence just opposite GZ, so we had to wait a little while before heading off path. Once we did the post in question was soon located, and the cache not long after that. Thanks.

Down from Whangarei on a caching mission with Team G0LD today to get some numbers in the general Orewa area.

After a successful detour at Warkworth for a trail of 8 FTF's, we carried on to Orewa proper. Our plan was to do as many around the estuary as possible. The hint item was son located here, but I hadn't realised how large it was. Murphy's Law, I was looking at the wrong end when the found it call came from Greg at the other end. TFTC

Out with Team Gold this morning (0B80B8 and Liscrew) to collect a few caches to keep our numbers up. Once the team had the correct hint item, we soon had the cache located. TFTC

I remember cycling along the Te Ara Tahuna Estuary Cycleway a couple of times when I was younger, and really enjoyed it! This afternoon, I was completing it by foot which allowed for some more time to stop and appreciate the lovely views situated around the area. Arrived in the general area of the cache and trampled over the dry grass, and rough patches before finding myself at GZ where I quickly spied the cache which reflects the title of the hide nicely! I wonder how this steel post got here? TFTC G_2!

A beautiful, sunny day enticed me to head outside on a caching trip where I ended up walking around Orewa, Millwater and Silverdale for 8 hours between 11:30am and 7:30pm! In total I made 40 finds including 30 traditional's and 10 AL's... Thanks very much to all CO's who placed caches around this lovely area!

We looked for the previous cache here when it was missing so were pleased to see it had been replaced and came back today for another try.
We underestimated how busy the walkway would be so it took a while to locate, sign and return the cache.
First a young girl on a bike fell off and had to be comforted by her father which took a while, but no sooner had they moved on than a young boy on a scooter had a similar mishap causing his whole family to stop and console him.
They finally started to move on but only got about 5 metres before he fell off once again.
Eventually they calmed him down and finally left, this time with him on foot, but it still took a lot of stealth as numerous joggers, cyclists and and walkers passed by.
We felt quite victorious once the cache was finally back in place.
We also felt quite pleased that we don't have kids.

Headed out to explore this area with the family and NZ Travellers. Optimistically we brought a picnic along even though the weather was not looking like it was going to play ball but in the end it was hot, sunny and quite humid so a great day for a walk and a picnic!!

This was the first of the day and nice quick find by laval.

Thanks for the cache - signed log as SEAC

After a few days rain, the weather finally cleared on Labour day for a much needed outing to stretch the legs and grab a few caches. Had a picnic in Orewa with fellow caching bubble mates Keylev, Laval and Cragger and enjoyed a walk in the sun to a few caches. This one was the first of the day, TFTC!

A good day was had today this Sunday! I shot up to Orewa to meet up with a mate of mine Wayne, he’s just got out of hospital after some foot surgery, so I decided to visit him and get some caching done in the process. Initially he wasn’t able to do breakfast, so I carried on caching, later he rang back and said how about lunch? So we met up at the Ship n’ Anchor pub and grabbed a feed and a few wines.

Wandered along this pathway to this cache. Initially I thought oh no, it's going to be in full public view, but thankfully I had some sort of cover from the plants. Funny place for this steel post eh! At least one muggle saw me come out from GZ, probably thought I was relieving nature.

This was a bit trickier than I expected, so many possibilities, but I trusted my gps and then realised which side of the path I should be looking.

I was off to Auckland today to take one of my sons back. I just wanted two caches today to finish off my nature souvenir. I had picked up the caches I needed so carried on and picked up 2 other caches in this area before meeting my son in his lunch break. Afterwards I had a lovely afternoon with his wife and the grand kids.

I had a nice stroll along this path. Got to gz to see a variety of steel posts. I gave a few poles a feel up and down. Noticed the poor old lamp post surrounds had been given a hard time by an overly enthusiastic lawnmower. My GPS was still telling me I was out from gz so I zeroed in more accurately. This led me to the other side and took a quick glance and there it was exactly as the clue said. These double bottle caps are very simple but great little things that are suitable for lots of places.

I had a nice day out but I was a bit tired by the evening as it's a 5 hour return trip. Thanks for the cache Smile

Quick dash across the bridge and a long a bit and the cache was snagged once some muggles had passed by. Nice here.

Onto the main business of the day, the largest of two loops which encompassed all the caches I never completed last time I was in the area. The rain and drizzle was steady for most of it and only really came to any real effect when I was at the point furthest from the car, of course!!

Another weekend day with mrs c out of town and just some modest local-ish goals to achieve. I had intended to do most of my outstanding Millwater/Orewa caches but a persistent drizzle and then a proper spell of rain meant that it was just Millwater. The afternoon was all about collected a TB that had been located amongst a swag-haul dumped in a park near Manakau City, facilitated by a UK cacher on FB. Quite the mission but I rescued the TB and declined the accompanying swag (stolen goods probably)

I was lucky to get the grab on this one before the lady put weed spray on the grass. Had a couple down in Wellington I could see but couldn't grab for different reasons. Lol. Not today. Tftc

Out and about for a spot of cache detection today. A nice warm spring day for it. I parked up and enjoyed a short walk in the sun along the path to GZ. Note to self, time to put my hat on. Luckily, the interval at the nearby school was coming to and end so I would be able to search much more effectively. This ended up taking much longer than it should have. For some reason I thought I was looking for a much larger container than I was. Once I read the cache page and noted what I was actually searching for, I soon had the goods in hand after that. Cheers for the cache placement!

Our third joint {FTF} in a row with Merlot this morning. We have not so good memories of visiting this area previously, as there were wasps in the area and we are both allergic to wasps. Thankfully no wasps today and we made a quick find here.

Not too many muggles around and a nice quick find of this cache for our 3rd {FTF} of the morning
