Once we had finished the Lab caches we colated all the numbers and came up with a set of co-ods. As per hint we were at the right place, but a wombat has dug a large hole at the base of the tree at GZ. Had a detailed search but no smilie for us today.
Didnt find it with Matthew and the girls .. 2.57pm 12.03.2023
We walked more than we needed too to get info for this ... oopps!
We did pass a wiggling stick that was in the grass off to the side on our way back to the carpark. It kept really still till we were our of sight then headed for the trees and thicker grass.

I Found this cache on our East Coast Trip Day 1 in company of Bazzars. After completing the lab on a quite hot and humid day, we made our way to the final cache. Thanks from D B-A
Nice and easy, a perfect partner to a nice walk around the wetlands. “Log” was too wet to write in, may need maintenance. TFTC

We enjoyed a night stroll around the wetlands on Friday night doing the adventure lab and were happy to find this one as well. The cache was a great camo, but unfortunately the O ring is gone and the log is saturated. Thanks for placing this here
While the others were buying a TV nearby, I went for a walk here. Very pleasant. Just starting to rain a few drops. Found the cache without issue but the log is soaking. Thanks!
Found with icw. On completing the Adventure Lab we were one number short, but made the necessary calculations to find GZ. On the walk-around of this delightful piece of remnant bush we saw: a White-eared honey eater, Brown thornbills, a family of Superb fairy-wrens, many Pacific black ducks, Chestnut and Grey teals, Purple swamp-hens, Eurasian coots, a Willy wagtail, a Grey fantail, White-browed scrub-wrens, Red wattle-bird and Noisy miners. Tftc.
Not at base at moment but in good spot so easy to find. Tftc The Paulsons
Ps as I was doing the adventure lab, my first btw, I didn’t get b and was so worried I would have to start again but all good

Relatively quick find after completing the adventure lab. Beautiful area to walk through and a nice puzzle (unlike some that really, really hurt my head)
This was find #999 for us, as we attempt to get to #1000 before flying back to WA tomorrow. Tftc

Outing for the day. Lovely walk around the lake. fav from me. I had a great time finding your cache The Paulsons, thank you so much for placing it.
After an enjoyable yet hot (our fault not the CO’s) walk today, we were glad to find this bonus cache at the end! Thanks for placing the cache The Paulsons.
After walking the circuit for the adlab in the park this was a nice straight forward find. We did the series of trads that was here many moons ago so this wasn’t unfamiliar territory for me. Although we are mad doing it this afternoon because it was hot….we were on the lookout for wriggle sticks that we didn’t really want to become acquainted with and we’re quite pleased the cache was an easy find and we were soon back in the aircon in the car.
Thanks for being part of of geocaching fun The Paulsons.

TFTC! Enjoyed the lovely walk around the wetlands this afternoon with my uncle doeraeme.
We had a lovely walk the wetlands. Parents are locals and have walked this many times, but a first for Mr 7 and I. We walked further up to the golf course as a bit of a detour in this beautiful walk as well. Nice Camo on the cache, took a bit of hunting, so very happy with this find! TFTC.

I remember walking through these wetlands while on holidays about 3 years ago when there used to be a series of traditional caches here. I left Mrs P and the geodaughter over the road that day to go shopping and I enjoyed my peaceful walk caching!
Today we all did some shopping and lunch first, then I convinced them to come for a walk here with me so we could all do the AL cache.
Was just as pleasant an area as i remember, and we thoroughly enjoyed finding all the clues for the bonus as we listened to all the birds while on our stroll as the geodaughter is a fan of birds ( except crows lol)
I headed off for this bonus alone while they walked back to the car, and it was while reading the notes realised I needed to bring my own pen. Didn't want to ruin a good logbook by using dirt, charcoal, blood or anything else so I hope you are happy to settle for a pic of the nicely camoed cache as proof-of-find.
Thx The Paulson's for a great AL and this Bonus cache. Always nice to be caching in Wonthaggi.

Found at 10:38 AM GAFF5 in the company of maccamob.
After a fantastic meal at the Wonthaggi Hotel last night we made arrangements to do the lab cache that we have been waiting to do with someone else - who has a car so that we could place one at each end [:o)]
Set the cars up and then started the stroll through the wetlands, which were remarkably dry after the massive storm that hit us yesterday. The questions were clear and concise which made it a pleasure to go from one stage to another.
Thanks The Paulsons.

Found by David at 10:40. A very pleasant walk as we answered the questions with our special friends Peter and Cat. Plenty of steps, board walks, and signs from which to learn more. Definitely a FP. Our thanks to The Paulsons.
Very enjoyable adventure walking around the wetlands on this beautiful summer's day... TFTC

A nice little wander through the wetlands. I scratched my name into the log and took some photos as we left the pen/stamps in the car! Thanks for the cache, and the adventure The Paulsons.

This Adventure Lab and bonus were the highlight of a short trip to Wonthaggi today. We also managed to turn a long time blue face into a yellow one!
We always enjoy a Lab and take every opportunity to complete them when we come across one. This was no exception. Most enjoyable.
We were grateful for the hint at GZ for this bonus. Could have been quite challenging.
Thank you to The Paulsons for an enjoyable Lab and bonus.

I have replaced the log and repositioned the cache at the same coordinates so hopefully, it will not get wet.
Suscoe was out caching today in the company of Phetlern.
It was a very mild day, a good breeze blowing and lots of sunshine til later in the day, we even had a few large drops of rain.
A good range of caches in a variety of locations were visited.
Thanks to The Paulsons for this terrific Adventure Lab and Bonus, what a wonderful community asset for the town and to have this wetland to explore was terrific.
We even met a wallaby up close, lots of birds and plenty of soggy ground. Well done to you for highlighting this area.
The log is quite wet and will need some attention.

After completing the adventure lab and working out the coordinates for this cache we found it quickly. The log was very wet and my pen couldn’t write on it. A very enjoyable cache though.
Today was a perfect day to get out of the house and enjoy some sightseeing. We arrived at the Wetlands and enjoyed a relaxing walk while completing the A/L and finishing with this bonus cache. Thanks for bringing us back here with time to relax and enjoy. The logbook was very wet, but found and signed.
Thanks for this enjoyable cache.
Thanks for this enjoyable cache.
After completing the adventure lab, I made my way to GZ, for a quick find. Log sheet is very wet. Cheers!
I enjoyed my walk through the wetlands, as I have done quite often while birdwatching in previous year. Today I had a different reason to stroll through the park and soak in the sunny, calm weather. It was the best we’ve had for a while. The Log is very damp. It’s placed in a good location and fun, as most Adventure Lab series are. Thanks for the placement.
Visited Wonthaggi for the day with my partner. We enjoyed walked around the wetlands. Lovely native plants and birds on the lake. Easy to find. Thanks The Paulsons for bringing me here and the adventure lab cache
WETlands for sure! Found first 2 AL very easily but struggled to get to GZ on the 4th. It started raining but we didn’t give up. Solved the coords and quickly found the cache. Sorry we didn’t signed as it’s so wet the log would get damp and so would we! We can send a photo as proof of find. TFTC
Out and about with &others enjoying our walk around the wetlands. The first one was a little tricky but easy from then. Really enjoyed a new area of Wonthaggi. Thanks for bringing us here The Paulsons.
#4521 Mr BGF and Essie the geohound enjoyed a walk this arvo around the wetlands completing the associated AdLab. We spotted a lot of ducks, some water hens and even an Egret. Funnily enough we had walked to a nice shady spot to do calcs for the this bonus cache and lo and behold it was situated right behind us, how convienient! TFTC The Paulsons.

After ticking off all the boxes Stemicmitsar, Brainiac03 and I had wanted we decided to go around and collect some random caches along the way before we head back for the day. Eitherway thanks for the cache and the lovely walk around.

After a good day out so far, we decided to go a little further South and ended up doing the Aventure Lab associated with this cache.
Once the tour was complete the math was done and we headed for GZ, a short time later we were signing the log.
**Thanks to The Paulsons for placing this cache.**

Unlike the Australian Open tennis players in Corona Virus lockdown, who are unable to get out to play, we are completely free to enjoy the geo-game!
After completing the brilliant WetlandsWonderland Ad Lab, it was a real bonus to find this well disguised cache.Dropped in a FP.
Thanks The Paulsons for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

Worked out and found with tassie expat while walking around this nice place. Thanks for placing it.
Had been saving this bonus cache for a post work quick find. Spot on co-ords made a quick find. We walked most of the lab cache again as we parked at the pony club and entered via new estate. Very quiet here today for muggles and wildlife. TFTC
I saw this pop up on the Adventures app a little while ago and eagerly awaited my next trip down here to go and check it out.
While everyone else went to shop in town, I took to the trails and navigated my way through the waypoints.
A very lovely area that was peaceful today with only the odd muggle here and there.
All locations were easy to answer and highlighted enjoyable and serene parts of the wetlands.
It was getting close to lunch and I was quite lucky that the final hide put me near my initial entrance point.
Came across the cache nice and quickly as it seemed to have dislodged from its hiding spot.
Signed the log and put everything back as to keep it nice and camouflaged, a very well-crafted container indeed!
Thanks to The Paulsons for this Adventure and bonus cache!

We joined forces with micaparamedic today with the idea of grabbing a few lab and also as many multi's as we could for a challenge cache that we are after.
We quite enjoyed this wander around the wet lands and we saw most of the creatures described on the signs during our walk including an abundance of ducks, dragon flies and fairy wrens. Once finished we sorted out the information with our fingers crossed that the final would be back towards the car, but no such luck so off we went again. As we approached gz there was a group of five workers standing 10-15 meters from gz having a bit of a discussion so we had to just keep on walking. We waited in the shade for awhile and happily came back to find that they had moved to another area. We followed the GPSr needle to gz where micaparamedic had the well hidden cache in hand from the first place we looked and the log book now contains our name.
Thanks The Paulsons for the cache.

The weather was looking good , with restrictions lifted in regional Vic I once again teamed up with SKI Pair armed with My mask and Sanitizer, We had a great day exploring the Bass Coast region, starting at Wonthagi, heading along the coast to San Remo and then to Corinella before heading back over the hills to Warragul. There were quite a few challenging and novel hides in the area. this is one of the caches we found today. I had an enjoyable time walking around the Wetlands doing the lab before I met up with Ski Pair.
Thanks The Paulsons for the cache.
Some logs were signed as RASP today.
