Hmm couldn't see anything out of the ordinary here, at any height! Lots of squeaks though - not sure what from. Scared a cyclist as I rejoined the path though - sorry!
Unfortunately no luck for us today. We will be back, we are sure it is just a clever hide.
Not sure how folk found this easy? Can't find and not sure re reference to bison?
My second visit. Looked for a while and was about to admit defeat again but then was approached by guakk, another geocacher walking past. In the process of giving me a hint I accidentally put my hand on the cache. Nice camo alright. Tftc
Returning after a three year break, This was our first on the trip round the lagoon

Out and about with the muggle friend I have been staying with. Time to introduce her to geocaching.
This is the third cache a friend Wellington friend recommended for me to find. Knowing his recommendations are always good, it was on my list to find today. And, like the other 2, we weren’t disappointed.
I couldn’t decide what hat height was, especially when it didn't apply to Tall Dwarfs. So I started crawling around in the undergrowth thinking I would work my way up to hat height. All that happened was my skirt got slightly dirty and my leg started bleeding where a stick had scratched it (this is nothing new).
Back to a standing position I helped muggle friend study every branch, tree, fence and everything else. That didn’t help so sadly we decided to give up. After collecting my gear from the undergrowth I was mulling over Jude_E’s and NosyNel’s comments when I thought, ‘Hmmm that looks interesting.’ And it was because it was the cache. G_2 your hides are fantastic -I am inspired to improve the quality of my hides. Favourite given -I really wish it could be more.
Kia ora rawa atu for the cache G_2.

Decided at short notice to spend a week in Orewa as our original camping plans had been stymied by the cyclone Gabrielle. Quite a few branches and sticks lying about, but otherwise there doesn't seem to be too much damage here. Lovely weather now and a great geocaching trail around the estuary to explore. Lucky us! Enjoyed looking for this cache and it earns a fave from us for the fab camo. Cache is all good. TFTC
I came to New Zealand with my wife on honeymoon
It is hard to log all the caches, I found here in New Zealand, so excuse my mass log for caches around Orewa, please
At first i started with caches around Estuary Cycleway, then to Red Beach, Hatfield´s Beach, Millwater and Silverdale. Some of the caches are now disabled as i can see, and some of them were disabled, but were on place.
After consulting with owner I made maintanance on some of disabled and missing caches.
I found many really nice caches...it was awesome, but i think, that some of them (for example Bison caches) have too low D/T combos...but owners are really helpful, so I managed to find each of them. I usually borrowed bike from my brother in law and then in the early morning, or in evening went geocaching. I really liked that routine. So I´m really thankful for all the caches on/near Estuary
I need to write here, that I really like nature in NZ...its a big difference between Europe :/
So – TFTC, guys, and especially The Wonder Stuff for placing and G-2 for placing and hints...and sry for mistakes in my poor English...have a nice day(s) there and u should come to find some caches here in Slovak Republic

M24: wow, nice camo, completely right in plain sight when we put it back, a nice clever find for m13 and I, log all good and signed here. TFTC. FP given.
Thanks for hiding this cache G-2 I appreciate it. So I took a wrong turn and Jude_E still found it before me. Another clever hide. By the way it's still not raining ️️
Day 2 of a geocaching holiday in Tāmaki Makaurau with Nosynel. The weather is not favourable but we're dedicated!
Nosynel was looking for ages having forgotten the way to the car I had time to find another go past the car then walk down the alleyway to this cache and spotted it instantly. Another favourite. Thanks!

We spent a little time thinking about where you would hide a bison here, before one of us spotted exactly where. Thanks.
The camo was so good that even the wood lice was tricked. Easy when you know where it is and the sort of caches that G_2 likes to develop. Thanks G_2 for another great hide.
At last I have found this one. To most others this was an easy find. But for me 6th time lucky. I was so totally looking in the wrong place thanks to my phones GPS. What a great hide and camo. Thank you so much for all the amazing caches you do G-2
Sooo many people coming past that I didn't have as good a ook as I'd like but nothing stood out and, I guess until I find it, I won't know exactly what the hint means .
On approach I guessed the right spot but it still took a couple of sweeps to get my hands on the well disguised fellow. Tftc
Down from Whangarei on a caching mission with Team G0LD today to get some numbers in the general Orewa area.
After a successful detour at Warkworth for a trail of 8 FTF's, we carried on to Orewa proper. Our plan was to do as many around the estuary as possible. This one on the path had us stumped for a while, before I thought...., maybe..., and yes it was , complete with some extra natural camo. Nicely done. TFTC

Team G0LD had planned to cache in Orewa today, get 50 caches and clean up that area. Such a nice surprise to see new caches published just out from Warkworth. We made the short diversion out that way and picked up 8 ftfs as a bonus. What a fantastic way to start the day. Grabbed a couple of other ones enroute to clean areas up before reaching our target area.
This was the most satisfying find of the day for me. It was another of my previous G-2 dnfs. I'd searched on and off the path but my teammate found it without leaving the path. Some natural camo had accumulated so it was extra well hidden. Took a photo to show my daughter in law what I couldn't see last time. Very well done, thanks

Out with Team Gold this morning (0B80B8 and Liscrew) to collect a few caches to keep our numbers up. Tricky hide. Took us 10 minutes to locate. TFTC
After reading previous logs, we looked a bit closer.
First of the mountain souvenirs for us.
Thanks

Out and about on this windy afternoon to find a some caches for a couple of hours. After finding "Victoria (#2)" I continued along the path to this GZ. But the GPSr had me walk right past GZ and sent me bush. Nothing looked likely to me so I backtracked and spied something of interest. Closer inspection confirmed the find. Cheers for the cache placement!
It was a pleasant day for caching, I had in mind to head to Puhoi to pick up an adventure lab bonus which me and FMZ missed a few weeks ago in our haste to do PWGT caches the day they were all published. So I also made a plan to make a start on the new Natural Wonders of the World souvenir (which officially started 25th Feb). I also wanted to pull in to Orewa and meet up with my work mate Wayne and have a glass of wine and an entrée at the Ship n’ Anchor, then more caching after that.
So the thing is, i found the cache above my head height... but this begs the question, am I taller than a tall dwarf? Or am I shorter than the usual height for Russian generals. A question we might never get to know the answer to.
Cache all good here G.

First off here and a different route not previously taken. We came alongside and I looked at the rear but mrs c had already sighted the cache, nice one.
Another busy weekend with not a huge amount of finds, but 3 nice days out anyway and some new and old places explored. Saturday was supposed to be a trip to Orewa, then off to Puhoi for the first of the PWGT caches and some feta cheese, then back to Orewa for lunch. However the log weekend traffic as spotted from high up above SH1 meant that Puhoi was off the list so we just retraced our steps and had a good feed. A nice walk around part of the Orewa lagoon was all good and Marmalade Island and lake was a treat for mrs c with water-lilies aplenty. Finally part of the day was around trying to get to, and past, 500 finds by a certain regional cache hider, yup achieved that little piggy.

One minute the paths were full of the muggles and then all of the sudden we had the place to ourselves. Made finding this one much more easy.Spotted something on our approach followed the hint and made a grab.
Last one to find in Orewa for now. I am so surprised I managed to find this so quickly and astonished myself when I placed my hand on it straight away. Love the camo
GPS wanted us to search in the middle of the grass, but we knew better. At least I managed to find this before GeohoundandI got to it.
Very clever hide! Looked at it for a few seconds and then investigated, turned out it was the cache. TFTC
First place I investigated....phew!
In and out like a robber's dog .
No muggles passed while I did the job.
Cute camo!

This was the second cache we targeted this morning. The camo on this cache almost had us fooled, but on closer inspection we found this cache and bison as per the hint. Joint {FTF} with Merlot.
The camo here nearly had us fooled but on closer inspection the bison was revealed. Another joint {FTF} with Jag50
