Got the required information but no access to lighthouse due to maintenance works. Off we go, proved to be too tricky to add a smilie today.
28/08/2024 11:16:00 AMAs it often the case with me and multis it took me three attempts at calculating the coords until I got it right, once I had the correct set the cache was found without much drama courtesy of the hintThanks NiceNanniesFind recorded using GCDroid and logged using GSAK
Worked this one out when I was last here in January, had no luck so back today and an easy find was hadThis weekend Courtneyrose_ and I headed to Mount Gambier for Morgo the Geos 500th Parkrun. Today being solo heading home I made my way from Millicent to Adelaide finding unfound caches around the SE. Thanks for the cache
Nice multi! Found with Bushnik on the way home from a great south east holiday.TFTC
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Staying in Kingston for a few days to grab some finds. Found the info, did the math and proceeded to gz where we quickly spotted the prize. Thanks for the hide. LNCU
Travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. We are staying we in Kingston SE for a couple of days checking out the sights and caches of course. TFTM. LNCU
May 18, 2024 3:20 PMWith a weekend booked at Robe family Perpetuallylost thought it was a nice day for a drive so up the highway to Kingston SE we headed. A pretty little town but very quiet ( us Victorians are used to a little more Saturday afternoon trading!) but we certainly weren't complaining. Mrs P missed out on the Op shops so caching became our tour guide for the afternoon. Working our way back south now but couldn't resist a single stage multi on the way. Coordinates soon worked out after checking out the lighthouse then off to GZ. Mrs P finds it straight away which was good considering you could get stuck here for a while. After this we tried a drive along the beach but with no way to air down and no air compressor to pump tyres back up again we didn't go far before backing up and hitting the tar again. Tftc
Well May has come around once again, that means off on a camping trip chasing Yellow Faces . Lucky enough to find many but have encountered a couple Blue Faces .Either way the experience has been rewarding due to the Geocache locations and the beautiful Autumn days in the low 20s.Many thanks go out to all the COs and the maintenance crews around the remote and country regions that make travelling more enjoyable.TFTC
#19717 - 3:22:00 PM; Day ten of a road trip taking the long way to Adelaide from the National Capital and back again with the geohoney. Arrived in Adelaide last Wednesday and today we set off on the return journey via the coastal route. After stops in Hahndorf, Tailem Bend and Meningie we arrived in Kingston SE, planning on grabbing fish and chips for lunch. Sadly the fish and chippery is closed now until September, so the bakery got our business instead. After some sightseeing, including collecting this cache, we headed on to Robe where we decided to stay the night before hitting the road again in the morning. TFTC NiceNannies
Next day of our roadtrip. Today we're driving about 350km from Meningie to Mount Gambier. The first stretch is quite long and lonely along Coorong NP. Then we pass Kingston, Robe, Millicent and arrive finally at Mount Gambier. Great views everywhere and of course we pick up a few caches along the way. Nice lighthouse. At the final we were lucky. About to give up, when we spotted the odd rock. Thanks and kind regards from Switzerland, Hinni&Simo
On a 9 week road trip from Brisbane and passing through Kingston today on my way to KI. Thankfully and easy find
A February Mega brought us to Adelaide. Our group is travelling together and signing logs as 5 for QLD.Today we journey from Adelaide to Mount Gambier. It's great to be brought to these heritage sites. Thanks.Log signed and cache replaced as found on 12 March 2024. TFTC, NiceNannies.
After over seven weeks on the road, I'm back home and finally catching up on all my logging.Caching in South Australia was fantastic, so many good hides to find, and we found ourselves zigzagging all over the place doing lots of geoart but of course ran out of time to get everything done on our to-do list. The majority of caches we found were in great condition and well maintained, which is a credit to all the CO's who placed them, so thank you.Our logs were mostly signed as 5 for QLD to save room on the log sheets, and no doubt, we'll be back again in the future
Travelling today to Mt Gambier. Calling into Murray Bridge to pick up a Favourite cache then on to Millicent and through to Mt Gambier.Caching with and signing as 5 for QLD. RoddyC hatzofff imbunda snickersallan and grannysmith.TFTCache NiceNannies
This cache was one of those found around or on the leap day February 29th, 2024 before, during or after the Mega event in Adelaide. Many thanks to all those owners who placed caches that Swampy and I found during our trip from Hobart to the Mega and return home again.

Staying in town and headed out to check out the lighthouse. Gathered the info needed and collected it this morning on my way out of town. Once at GZ the cache was soon in hand. Log signed and all returned as found. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for me and others to enjoy. TFTC NiceNannies

Not so much a DNF as a DNT as it was pouring and the wind was howling and the rocks would have been too slippery for this granny
A lighthouse that is different leading to a cache quickly found. Thank you for the cache that brought me here.
What a beaut lighthouse! The two that icybeetas and I had previously seen on our journey were more modern and uninteresting, unlike this one which was great.
Thanks for bringing us here to see it via this multicache.

Away for a couple of days with Featherwaite.
We concentrated on Kingston, Robe, Cape Jaffa, Beachport and Southend.
We mainly found all the cache we were looking for.

Enjoyed learning about the fascinating history of the Cape Jaffa lighthouse
A beautiful morning, sunshine, light breeze and not a sign of rain. We were having quite a fun day until mid afternoon the rain started. Our day consistered of finding a variety of caches, AL's and a few DNF's and finding us arriving back at home at a much later time than we had wamted to be.
We had a lovely lunch at the fish and chip shop near the jetty and we found a fantastic place that we can bring our caravan to when we want some time out.

Day 11 of our loop through Vic and SA then home.
With Sol de lune & Smittengranny heading home, it was fitzy_1965, albida33 & I who headed north to Kingston SE and back today. We signed as MAF or FAM to save room.
Our aim was to collect counties, oldies, AL’s and any interesting caches in-between. A fun day, especially the bit of 4WDing we accidentally ended up doing.
All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.

Rutherglen Mega and South Australia Trip Day 11. Today we headed out to grab our last few unfound counties in this part of South Australia, found some great D/T caches, visited Kingston and Robe, and generally cherry-picked our way around in a loop finishing back in Millicent for our last night there. This was the next find of the day, and a quick find once at GZ. Signed, replaced, then we headed off to the next one.
Thanks NiceNannies !! Neat WP1 and GZ. Favourite Point !

Southern Autumn adventure Day 12. Post Mega South East SA trip Day 6. Two of the team from this trip have headed home, so now it is just three of us Fitzy_1965, Albida33 & MinnieK, Sole de Lune and logs were signed as FAM or similar. Our goal today was more of the high D/T tree caches and a trip to Kingston and Robe to sample the delights of the coast and a few more counties down this way. We missed out on Beachport due to time and finished with some of the remaining caches in Millicent itself before calling it a night.
I even managed to visit cape Jaffa on one childhood visit, but today we concentrated on the cache and made the find as we headed down the coast.
Thanks for the cache NiceNannies

TFTC NiceNannies for your cache Cape Jaffa Lighthouse that we found today. We left a showery Millicent this morning to head to Kingston SE for a few days. After setting up camp in the RV Park and having lunch we headed out to explore using caching and Adventure Labs as a guide. A nice afternoon exploring

After being out at the old light house ruins yesterday it was great to see where the lighthouse has been moved to. Fun little hide. Thanks!

Great to read the interesting history on the lighthouse. After getting the details sorted, the geo daughter and I went to make the find after a short drive. Cache was a few meters out from our workings but soon spotted.

A quick trip to the south east, and camping at Kingston for the night. A nice easy Multi, and a quick find at GZ...We recogognise that container..! TFTC
This is my first multiple, so pretty happy! An excellent walk from the beginning clues to the find, for a chilly wintry day. Tyftc
I somehow managed to be lucky enough to win a great state voucher for $50 off accommodation. The idea being to put some money back into regional communities after the pandemic. Uni and Medusa and I went away for a caching trip around Kingston using the voucher to stay at the caravan Park. We spent lots of money on diesel and food so the voucher did it's trick.
We stopped and found this cache on the way.

We must have walked past this cache 30 or more times during our stay in Kingston before we attempted this multi and calculated the final GZ and realised there was a cache there!
After a bit of a look around, the hint made sense once we saw it, and the cache was in hand.

Found with sharkiefan.
Back in SA, caching around the area with out base being Millicent.
It was 2 years ago on the March long weekend we were last over here. (That was pre covid/lockdown days.)
We had a great time, back then, and when we got home it was only 20days later Vic went into full covid lockdown mode.
The world has changed somewhat since then, but caching still gets us out n about.
And it is kind of fitting that we are back here for a planned interstate caching trip to get us both back into an area we enjoy (not ta mention I always enjoy the SA caches n trails)
This trip we are both armed with some new gear for the new trails. And i had a few caches targeted to help achieve some challenges and stats.
Once again it was a great little break from the norm of life back home.
Today we toured from Millicent, hit the coast n made our way to Kingston SE. Then cached back to Robe, checked out some camping areas and finishing the day in Beachport with Ad Labs.
Worked out the numbers then headed back to GZ. A bit of a search and sharkiefan made the grab.

This was an early morning cache hint before heading to Adelaide. Data collection was straightforward. Then it was a short drive to GZ. After a short hint a familiar object was seen. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks for the cache.
On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird. I’ll leave the more interesting detailed log to Mrs Geo (aka: SeasonedBird, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird or Angry Bird) because she writes so much more eloquently than I and usually has much more time to do so while I’m driving. Still can't find a second time it's either gone or in a dumb spot have hurt myself both times looking and it's not worth it. Need more hints or a picture of the location before I will try again.
Had a lovely 15 minutes climbing around the rocks but gave up the hint when a family arrived to swim, I’m sure it’s there somewhere!
Sadly, that’s strike two for me. Even with a little help from the CO.
I can, I looked, I fell, I have blood coming from my leg. I don’t need to find this one.
Homeward bound after a MEGA weekend. Caching with earthlight.
Bumped into froghoppin, Mattycat & Sebastbat a few caches back so we all joined forces in finding this cache.
I took on board the info/tip about were the hide apparently was. Every one has different interpretations. After fluffing about looking elsewhere I decided to look more methodically at how I interpreted the tip. Bingo... found a cache, gotta love it when that happens.

Our final day camping at the Mega, all packed up but still the aim to cache the highway home and any others we happened to be near this was one of them, travelling with Mattycat and Sebastbat, joined by another two teams in the hunt for this one having aquired the information earlier, a couple of muggles had told us of lots on snakes in the rocks and other groups had searched the rocks, a brief overview of geocaching satisfied their curiosity of the attention to the area, a methodical search had LIB finding the well hidden cache

Loved the old lighthouse.

We didn't have any kids to go looking in the mini monolithic jungle. So settled for a DNF for two old grannys.

I visited WP1 of this one many months ago now but someone had decided to get married at GZ that day. So I came back tonight for another attempt. No weddings to be seen and after a bit of wandering around I looked in the right spot and found the cache!

This one filled fooled us a few times.
First, we read the wrong sign.
Then a likely GZ, but some local muggles.
They kindly explained the huge mass of seaweed on the beach only came in during the previous week's storms and will remain until November's king tides.
The hunt was a challenge but GeoBug came up trumps
Thanks
We took lots of photos of distant rain clouds passing along the distant bay

It’s amazing how quiet it is around here. Other than a couple walking past who explained that it was only two nights go that the seaweed washed up and covered the pristine beach. We are on holidays from Melbourne and caching as we go. The Welder and three of our minis had a good look around, and after reviewing the coords of gz with no luck, we widened our search and it was miss ten aka geobug who eventually made the find. Thanks for the cache.

We have found a cache at listed co-ords before. We've been inside a few times too.
Did calcs, hoping they right, then headed almost back to the last cache we'd just been to.
Groaned at GZ... looked f our 15 mins before we paffed, and were directed to go about 8m away... where we then found the cache.
Nice view of the bay, but why so far away?
