A long time between doing the lab and finding the final. Years! Thanks, SoBad. I was spotted by a muggle but I don't think he saw where I was looking. He thought I needed help. Must have been the white hair!#10845
We owe so much to many people and should never forget them. Thanks for the ad lab SoBad Always nice to grab a bonus!!
Important to keep us remember, although in my mind it's also about the pointlessness of war: young NZ men losing their lives at the other side of the world, and for what? The bonus location was a bit unexpected: how to hide a cache here? Only one place seemed possible, but it had some empty beer cans stuck in it. Once I took the effort of cleaning it out, the container was quickly found underneath. Hope people can keep these places clean next time. Thanks for the cache!
Got all the numbers for this cache a while ago but haven't had the chance to grab it. Today we were driving around while our grandson was asleep in the car and made the stop. At first I couldn't find it so Andy had a look and found straight away. tftc

This is our first adventure lab bonus cache, nice easy find with help from cache owner thanks for the cache
We did this lab earlier in the week. It was nice to find the bonus today.
Thanks for hiding this cache SoBad I appreciate it. We stayed the night at Tahuna. This is day 7 of our trip. The plan for today is to spend a chunk of it biking around Rabbit Island. Anything else is a bonus.

15 April 2022 16:16. Prizegiviing for the Orienteering event was running late, so I had time to search out this one. Tftc SoBad, a good finale to your adventure lab.
This was our last day of our trip in the Nelson area. After walking the Abel Tasman and enjoying a couple of days exploring, we finally collected this bonus cache. As it so happens this is also our 7000th cache, so yay us! TFTC!
We completed the adventure lab on our first evening in the area but didn’t have it in us to walk to the final. Back after our Abel Tasman excursion and we were in town finished up our unfinished business.
Nice quick find here.
Thanks for the cache and for showing us around town.

There were too many school children yesterday as my timing was just as schools were getting out. Staying close by so went out this morning to quickly find it
We are caching around Nelson today, concentrating on a mix of PWGT caches, solved puzzles and Adventure Lab bonus caches.Things got a bit complicated when we moved into the more central city area as we had several Ad Labs to do, with overlapping routes around the locations, as well as a virtual and a PWGT cache to fit in. One of us had carefully worked out where we needed to be for each of them, and had produced an ordered list of what to do when. Visits to such monuments always cause us to pause to remember them. We did the final of this bonus cache on our way back to our motel at the end of the day. Thanks.
Located with Ricardinho on way home from the Maitai Dam hike
The plan for today was a loop hike up to Dun Mountain via the Dew Lakes & back to the car through the Maitai Valley bush....but alas the track was closed & "strictly no access" signs were around. It's been a long time since I've been up at the Maitai dam & I've certainly never explored around it, so we decided to do this instead 12.5 km hike with 500m elevation on a stunning cracker day!

I solved the adventure lab a while back, but it was one of those that I dipped into over time, getting one or two as I drove through town (on the way home mostly).
I really enjoyed it, and thought it was a great idea for an Ad Lab.
Today we decided to make the find of the bonus as I am working toward a long term goal involving mystery caches, and today fits. So we grabbed it while coming back from a walk around Maitai Dam.
TFTC So Bad, FP from me.
Today’s walk was going to be a loop walk from the Maitai Dam up to Dew Lakes and Dun Mountain then back to the car. RG 1972 had seen this walk posted by someone and thought it would be a good idea, although a biggish day at approx 23 kms.
While heading up here I commented that we should come back another time to find the caches around the dam lake as this was not part of our plan today.
We parked up and made our way to the start to find that the track was closed. ‘Strictly no access’ won’t scare off some geocachers I know of, but we decided to pull the plug and guess what, we had just been discussing the plan B.
So, off for an out-and-back walk around the lake and up a bit of the Maungatapu track it was. In total we covered 12.5 km and found 8 caches with one DNF. An enjoyable walk along a stretch of track that neither of us had been along before.

A nice quick find after completing the AdLab a couple of days back. Enjoyed the trip around Nelson. TFTC SoBad.
Found all the required info from the Adventure Lab and the followed our noses here to grab the cache log signed as SONO to save room thanks for the cache and the "adventure"
Nice exploration of interesting spots, mostly new to me. Thanks for taking em around! TFTC!!
I gathered the required info from the associated AdLab cache a few days ago and saved this bonus cache for a day that I need to sign off a puzzle cache for a Challenge cache in Christchurch.
Seeing that I had to come into Nelson and today is a dot day for a Mystery Challenge that I'm trying to complete I had to find and sign this cache.
Cheers for the cache

That's me for now. I've walked some steps today chasing as labs. TFTC it was good walking around and seeing some great gardens.
An interesting lab to complete and learn about some history. Favourite given for the bonus and for allowing the lab to be done in any order. TFTC SoBad.
I came by after doing the AL, but didn't find the cache. I made a note to ask the CO to look at this when I saw them at the GIFF, but they must be fairly psychic since they had replaced the cache on the way to the GIFF.
On my way to tonight's event, I stopped by to knock this one off my list and made a quick find.
Thanks for maintaining the cache! TFTC.

The gz is just across the road from my sisters place so had a few looks for it with no joy today. Lots of nice little nooks for it, oh well, might be time for a beer back across the street. Cheers
I've been slowly picking away at the labs on days I've needed some finds. Today I needed 3 and haven't got much time to spare so perfect to time to complete them. Thanks for a nice set of labs and bonus SoBad

Found with StreetWalkerNZ on our last full day in Nelson before heading over the hill to Golden Bay tomorrow. We had several Ad Labs on the go so the priority was to finish them and mop up a few more solved puzzles.
We had had a busy day, from Nelson to Hira, back to Nelson then Richmond, now back in Nelson again and picked up this cache on the way back to our accommodation. It was pretty busy at GZ, so I double parked while SW scuttled out to make the find. Thanks for the Ad lab tour, taking us to some familiar locations around Nelson, and TFTC.

#20000. Once we decided to extend our trip to 9 days I was confident I'd reach the 20000 mark during the trip. We were finding caches at a decent clip, and I wasn't tracking what my total was, so I didn't have any particular cache on mind for find 20000. When I sat down to work out which cache was number 20000, I was pleased to find it was a physical cache and not an ad lab. Nice to have a SB cache as my 20,000th. Parking was not great at GZ (on a weekday afternoon) so Troodles stayed on the car and I went and found the cache. TFTC.
Thank you for a good deal of entertainment. Our first ever adventure lab. We walked around the sites this morning and then after lunch planned a walking route taking in a few traditionals on the way to get this bonus cache. We like to keep our carbon footprint low while caching if possible!
Thank you for setting up the AL and this bonus cache. It was an easy find on a fine fresh morning. TFTH

We enjoyed this Adventure Lab and the places it took us around the district to commemorate those who fought to maintain our freedom. A short drive to the final and we managed to park right next to the cache. Had to do a bit of CITO to get some rubbish away from GZ so the cache wouldn’t get swept up in a clean-up. Thanks for setting this Adventure Lab up and for providing a bonus cache.

A quick trip through town too GZ...nice easy parking, good co- ords found without a fuss many thanks Sobad
The Ad Lab was a good walk around central Nelson. I was surprised to see how far away the bonus was. I wondered what the significance of this was but read the sign. Aha! Thanks for the placement SoBad
In the area today so made the effort to take the detour and grab the cache after doing the Adventure labs a few months ago. Thanks for the cache.
I admit to being a bit torn with the these AdLabs. Granted they're handy for a quick 'find' but actually finding a cache is more what it's about.
That aside, they do enable you to visit places that are often highly worthy of a visit but, due to proximity rules, are unable to be cache locations in their own right, so I guess all is fair in love and geocaching.
Another good themed AdLab and always nice to get a 'real' bonus.
Thanks SoBad

Last day in Nelson had completed the al the day before and just before leaving stopped to get the bonus on the way out thanks so bad for the AL and it’s bonus TFTC
I really enjoyed the AL, so this cache was a bonus reward, as we were driving out of Nelson. Thanks again
On my way home. Decided to call by to find this hide as it is a Mystery dot day for me. I enjoyed the AdLab, thank you.

I was really pleased to finish this AL series today and find this bonus cache. Thanks, SoBad.
I'm in Nelson for a bit, cat & house sitting for my gorgeous niece & her husband - always great to be here.
Evening was a good time to be out about, caching.

Ms_KR and I are on our annual pilgrimage to Auckland for our family Christmas. Today are having a quiet day wandering around Nelson. Please excuse the generic logs, there have been a few finds and they get muddled up sometimes.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Heading into town so grabbed this bonus while going past, a quick find and all in good order, I enjoyed the wander around town after work one day, some interesting reflections on the sacrifices made from the district. Thanks SoBad for the bonus.
Beeing doing this over the last couple of weeks so today off to the final. Enjoyed doing the Adventure lab
I enjoyed doing the Adventure Lab. My initial thoughts were to leave the Bonus Cache until the next time I was in town, but decided I'd make time to go and look for it. Also a reminder I was going to reboot my "Lest We Forget" series back home. Cheers and TFTC
Arrived at GZ with Ulmuslyn searched around, spotted the cache on the ground with no lid.
Found the lid replaced cache where we thought should be.
Thank you for the adventure lab

Thanks for pointing out these monuments etc. No.13 and I had a great little tour. Thought we were going to have trouble getting to one near the Cathedral as they had blocked off some area to set up for NYE show. However it was sufficiently far away. Had trouble with the final as was not where was supposed to be but found on the ground with the lid off. Put it where we thought it should go. THanks for the Adv Lab and bonus.
I've enjoyed my visits to the various labs over the last few days. All of them familiar spots but good to take the time to reflect and remember. Very good planning getting this bonus published at such a historical time and date. Dropped by to sign it off on my way to the event tonight. TFTC # 16,235
The weather was perfect today for a walkabout the town and to complete a couple of adventures. As one adventure finished another one began and that was this one. It all went well. My only issue was with the Boer War monument where the picture in the app was of a size that the cache clue was unable to be full y seen. Might just be my device but oh well. I had a guess which turned out to be right and found the cache in the first place I checked. Thanks for the fun and TFTC, Biggles.
An amazing coincidence happened on Wednesday. The CO and I were part of a group that had just discovered the very fitting WWI memorial at Tapawera. I was aware it was Armistice Day but hadn't taken notice of the time of day until texts came through at 11am advising that this cache had been published. How appropriate! The Tapawera memorial had details of each local person who served in the war and really hit home about the circumstances most of them endured.
Thanks for the Adventure Lab, I appreciate the time and effort taken to put it together. All the places were familiar to me but I now know more about them than I remembered before.

FTF With holymu. After an enjoyable in theme evening walk we had the numbers in hand to assemble the coords. This was a bonus that gave us a bonus too, a blank log. Thank you SoBad
FTF with Hazedarus at 7.40pm.
We had to ignore this when it was published, having too many other things needing attention but tonight we could take a wander to complete the associated AdLab then assemble the numbers to find this bonus. An extra unexpected bonus was the blank log still.
Thank you SoBad.
