This one is most likely there but I only gave it a half hearted look as we were in a hurry and the rain had well and truly set in this morning while I was looking, so decided to give up and head to the van to dry off.

Hi Angus88
Called in on the way back from Mt Cleveland.
3 tourist cars were parked when we arrived.
Using the gpsr it didn't take long to spot the hide with cache in top condition.
No tigers spotted, even though it was quite hot.
In fact being quite hot I gave the falls cache a miss for another day.
Have been in there on numerous occasions chasing previous caches.
Many tftc Angus88....much appreciated....cheers ST.

This was one took a bit of searching, but we found it in the end. In good condition. We stopped here on our way back from a short stay in beautiful Corinna and enjoyed the nice walk through the rainforest to the Philosopher's falls viewpoint. TFTC!

TFTC. I can confirm that it is at head height. I can also confirm that my gps read within 2m at the cache location. I can see that this would indeed be difficult for height challenged people

Last time Mr Taz was out 4x4ing with the kids who aren't cachers but this trip was for caching the Western Explorer so we were equipped to see where this one should have been. Cache has been taken to GZ and placed where the description and hint say it should be.
All is well.

Found in its new location. Be careful while looking in the circle of forest as we saw a tiger snake.

Mr TazScout found this one by accident in the carpark a few weeks ago (late Novemberish) and of course signed the log and must have rehid it safely given it's been active since then. tftc

CO checked this cache on 26 November 2020 in the company of GeoMaggie0. Since then it has been disturbed and moved. Rather than disabling the cache, please read second paragraph of the GOOSEANDGANDER Log below for evidence of new location. CO will rectify the matter in the next couple of weeks.

Today we left Stanley with gooseandegg and Tassie Trekkers for a caching run down the road to nowhere onto Corinna, Savage River, Waratah and anywhere in between. We left Stanley and cached for 12 hours and had a thoroughly wonderful day out, despite the rain. The rain cleared by the time we got to Corinna. We had forgotten how windy this road was as a long time since we have been in the area. The caches bought us back. We have been here before and always a lovely spot to visit but the GPSr didn't play nice and we searched everything within cooee that was head high or above to no avail. Luckily Mrs W stepped out of the inner circle to go back to the car and thought "that looks like a cache hidey hole" and it was! Thank goodness. The hint should be reach from the road in hole in bottom of stump behind bark. We hope this may help future finders to locate, as a long way to come back. TFTC

Today we travelled the Western Explorer Road with whitewebbs and gooseandegg collecting cach, great views of the wilderness and the country side..

Cache and contents were in good condition, but took some time to zone in on GZ.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment, an enjoyable day with great company.

We left Stanley at around 7am in convoy with whitewebbs and Tassie Trekkers, loaded up with lunch, snacks and plenty of drinks, to travel the Western Explorer Road down to Corinna then back north through Savage River and Waratah arriving for dinner in Somerset just over 12 hours later. The weather was clear when we left but soon turned a bit dreary as we headed south, with showers persisting on and off almost until we reached Corinna for our lunch stop.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable day out and we found all the caches we looked for, although some caused us a bit of grief.
Thanks Angus88 for placing the series, providing us an excuse to visit this wonderful area again.

We searched and search everything we could find that was head height, and the 8 of us searching are all different heights so that covered a lot. After way too long searching (and unfortunately dodging toilet paper) we were calling it quits, about to log a DNF when Mrs WW spotted a good looking hidey hole. She hollered out in excitement and we all came to see the knee high hide on the edge of the road.

*I confirmed with Mrs 2y'stassies at the event on 31 Dec that the cache had been moved since they had found it.

This is my second day into a five day trip down through the Tarkine and North West Coast to locate caches that have recently been published and others not located on my last trip. This was a quick find before the hike to the falls. A beautiful location.

Coordinates changed from:
S 41° 28.520 E 145° 27.420

Coordinates changed to:
S 41° 28.516 E 145° 27.413

Distance from original: 40.1 feet or 12.2 meters.

While dashing in and out with rain taking co-ords for this cache, I'm not surprised that the result was inaccurate. Thank you for 2y'sTassies for providing accuracy for this cache near one of my favourite walks.

Given the predicted weather conditions and a recent report that the Western Explorer road had just been graded, we decided to head west today to look for caches in the new www. series. It was a superb day - clear sky, warm and a light to moderate breeze. For a gravel road, the Western Explorer was in good condition except for the last three or so kilometres near Corinna where the grading was yet to be completed. The Western Explorer was certainly in much better condition that the road from Corinna to Savage River. We left home at 7:30am and got back at about 9:00pm, a long but very enjoyable day where we managed to find 38 caches but there was one that we could not find.

After completing the Whyte River Walk, we started to head home via Savage River and Waratah. As mentioned above, the road from Corinna to Savage River was in poor condition with many deep potholes - in some instances we could not avoid them and had to ease the car in and out. We detoured into the Philosopher's Falls Car park and went to look for this cache. This is a magical area, one we had not explored before. It took some time to locate this cache but using the hint, we eventually located the cache about 12m from the published coordinates. The cache and contents were in good condition. There being no other entries in the logbook, we will claim {FTF} at 18:55. We took a number of coordinate readings and the average was S41 28.516 E145 27.413. As we still had about 100km to get home, we decided to leave Philosopher's Falls 02 to another day. Thanks Angus88 for this cache in a lovely area.
