Today is a beautiful day and we are going on a cachertour.We walk along the hiking trail past small ponds with lots of ducks and back along the new residential area.On the way, we keep looking for caches and are happy about our find.Thanks for the caches sayTeam sissifalke

Wow. It was a month ago that I found the caches in this area. MissTT and I were up this way to look at a possible house purchase. We didn't find the one we liked here, but needless to say the last 4 weeks have been all about selling and buying and selling again and buying again! That explains why I totally forgot about finishing off these draft caches. Had to rescue MissTT again. She is really out of practice!

Took a little while to find but a good find it was

On a brisk Saturday morning I headed north to pick up a few caches and enjoy the great outdoors. After finding a good spot to park the car it was a short walk to ground zero where it didn’t take long to locate the prize. Log extracted and a mark made of prosperity. Returned the cache safely to its hiding place and then on to the next challenge.

A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.

Sometimes its the low d ones that give the hardest trouble. Im sure its there somewhere as this series is well maintained. Ill come back soon and hopefully the bridge to the river will be open soon too.

Out for a day of caching with KerriMG (& on a Wednesday which is a day early for us). KerriMG was chancing teamwork attributes which bought us to this series.
This was a lovely walk. After a little bit of searching this one was spied.

Found this one super quick - after initially looking down the path to the water thought better of where I would hide one and there it was! Loved the hide and the container (these are the little minions favourite atm)and we also saw some big fish to add to the fun! TFTC

Hooray! This has been a sad little blue smiley on the map for a while. Dropped in with a friend who found it in a second or two. Fantastic

Continuing on our little stroll from where we parked the car, having just found #7 & 6, we came across another pretty little pond with some features around. We saw a big fish with a red tail and a baby Moorhen pottering about.
This cache tricked us for a minute as it was a different hide to the others so far, but J soon had his hands on it.

I managed to grab a little time out from work and went for a ride around this area. Did not get all the caches today, I was a little short on time, so I will have to come back. I picked this area as I am still trying to push along with my personal challenge that I have set myself. There are some nice little hides but I guess a hint would be nice just to reduce the time wasting. Tree head height, BOT, fence, etc just saying it would be nice.

Thanks for the caches I did today, I started from ten and worked my way back, which saw me at the difficult one early I guess. Thanks for the caches and the hides, it was nice to see new logs and the continuous maintenance being done on this series, thanks. This one I managed to find this one as it was hanging in a tree.

I signed the log and replaced the cache as found and continued on with my caches for today. Thanks for the hide, all good here.

Our GPS was spot on. No need to follow the ‘other side’ clues.

As others noted, GPS had me on the "wrong side", & as soon as I knew th@, a quick find!:-)

A public holiday, a stunning day. Perfect combo for a caching expedition. After completing the AL up the road, I found no dogs were allowed along that trail so decided to tackle this group instead.
A quick find at gz. Log signed and cache replaced as found.

Out to collect my geo-daughter off the bus at the nearby BP, and need to kill some time. Grabbed the Geo-dad and geo-car and decided to grab these that are close at hand.
Cache 3 for the day.
Walked further along the path to GZ, and I managed to beat dad tot he container this time.

In the area today picking up some caches and this was one of them. It was an enjoyable ride around the edge of the estate today and all caches were returned as found.

GPSr put me on the wrong side, where I did look in the "right" spot, so it was quickly found when I switched to the opposite.

Finally, strict lockdown is over. We checked this one. Again, the cache was right there where it should be.

We replaced the logsheet.

Having had a DNF here before, I had a search, but I made the basic mistake of not searching where I'd previously searched although I knew that it was a new replacement cache.
After looking in the wrong areas, I made a call to the CO who told me to look in the obvious (previously searched) area. And there it was!!

Back from a school holiday trip, we went straight to check. Yes, container was gone. Sorry mates, but now all is good to go.

Hmmmm

Even though we weren’t walking far we had taken a bottle of water with us. The problem was that the water was becoming quite warm and wasn’t providing the “quench” we were looking for. If it got any hotter than I would have been looking for some coffee beans on the ground to grind up to make an espresso.

I’ve sometimes had an iced latte but I am one of those people that can still drink a hot coffee even when I’m perspiring more liquid than I’m taking in. When I put caffeine over cold milk and ice I feel like I am somehow cheating the system. I also don’t want to be known as one of those inner-city latte sipping douche bags.

We thought about continuing on the walk with our hot water bottle but instead decided after one more cache we would grab some colder water out of the fridge and drive closer to the other caches. It looks like I’m now becoming one of those drive-by caching douche bags. Seeing I didn’t know what a douche was I just had to Google it. It’s actually a title I can be proud of. tftc

Despite the heat and humidity today we were really keen to get out for a walk. This series of caches seemed just the thing we were looking for. Thoroughly enjoyed the walk and although most of the caches were micro they were all easy to find. Also there was a nice variety of hides, we especially liked #6 which we have given a FP to.

Well it certainly hasn’t been quite the day planned when Fangsoki and I set out today. We had an adventure planned, and I had told wombles and co that I’d take her to find at least one cache afterwards to fill one of her calendar squares.
Well that almost went belly up, as my car decided to have a coronary before we even arrived at our first adventure.
However with the car situation dealt with for the day, the early adventure was cancelled. But Fangsoki and I were still able to head up to wombles to fulfil our afternoon plan.
We picked North Harbour and decided to grab a few of the caches out here rather than just one. This was the last one for us here today, a short walk back from the previous cache and over to make a quick find.

1minniemoo and Fangsoki took me out for a drive to get some caches. This was our last stop for the day. A nice walk from the last one along the paths and a nice quick find.
