On our way through to Wollombi for a wedding for the weekend. Made a few cache stops to break up the trip, then headed for dinner at the Tavern.Cheers
TFTC. Found after a day checking out the sculpturesEasy find though my phone had little service, so coordinates were off. Thanks for the hint.
Visiting Wollombi for Sculptures in the Vineyards. On way home so good time to do some of this series. The rock formations in this valley are amazing. Nice place to park looking down over the river. TFTC
Going well with the finds on this trail so far.Checked out the rock formations nearby. Im sure that the aboriginal bits are contemporary though, the paint is too yellow.Easy find with the hide. Thanks for the cache!
Today was a drive down to Wollombi and picking up what we can along the way. An overcast cool day, but still enjoyable. Not sure how we would vote, but either way, the road needs some work, only one nice smooth stretch.Total Caches Found 16189TFTC techsavvy9
Found at 11:00 AM GAFF1.Heck - making this section of the road would have been tough! Wonder if some of those caves were used by the aborigines of the area? Thanks to techsavvy9
Quick stop and find got distracted by the the rock formations on the other side of the road
I spent a few hours on the Dogs Head trail today and when I got sick of getting in and out of the car every couple of hundred metres, I decided to head to Wollombi and do this short series back to Cessock ... I remembered that I'd told the CO at a recent event that I would.A quick find here, which gave me time to enjoy the views before moving on. Thanks for placing the cache where you did techsavvy.
What a lovely series of caches! Beautiful drive - lovely trees & rock formations. TFTC

With large numbers of family present I was starting to get a little over crowded so I got a few hours quiet time to grab some supplies and collect a few geocaches. Thought these would be mainly park and grabs but some were a bit more challenging (and three I couldn’t locate) but a nice run anyway.
This one eluded me. Despite an ‘east find’ and located two days ago I could not find anything in around or under the hint. Got tired of wet boots in the wet grass.

Maitland Day 4, camped at the showgrounds.
As the others headed to complete the dogs head we headed south to Cessnock then continued through to Hillfield & Wollombi. We had a couple of AL to do & a variety of caches to find.
We enjoyed our drive into the countryside away from the bustle of the city & cars.
We did well only the last cache of the day having a DNF
Thankyou techsavvy9 for placing this cache.

We've had our yearly Barrington camping weekend planned for a while, so after seeing this series hadn't been found we diverted through Wollombi on our way to Singleton/Scone to nab them, of course doing them in the wrong direction!
We had to do a u-turn to go back for this one, definitely one to leave for the trip home, only we weren't going home today.... TFTC!
