Tyftc- definitely had fun with the bikes roaring past and tooting me on the weekend!
Have loved visiting this area for a few decades! Always loved the rock formations on one side and the river on the other. Thanks for this series of caches. I still have 1 to find - so I will return!Easy parking and found the cache.
No cell reception at this spot but was still able to find with the GPS on the phone and some cachers logic. Coordinates are very accurate.Quite peaceful here save for the motorcycles. Thanks for the cache!
Today was a drive down to Wollombi and picking up what we can along the way. An overcast cool day, but still enjoyable. Not sure how we would vote, but either way, the road needs some work, only one nice smooth stretch.Total Caches Found 16187TFTC techsavvy9
Found at 11:14 AM GAFF1.The scenery along this road is quite calming and spectacular at the same time. We are really appreciating this series.Be interested to know how the names of these creeks came about? Thanks to techsavvy9
I spent a few hours on the Dogs Head trail today and when I got sick of getting in and out of the car every couple of hundred metres, I decided to head to Wollombi and do this short series back to Cessock ... I remembered that I'd told the CO at a recent event that I would. No mobile reception here, so no details of what to look for. Offline maps worked though and I managed to make a quick find ... luckily, the cache is in a typical hiding spot. Thanks for placing this cache techsavvy.
I checked on this today and not an ant in place. Every time I check after people have said there are ant there are none when I get there. None in sight.

An impromptu weekend away decided to stop for this one and Mr Booo made a quick find. The cache is now becoming an ants nest as they swarmed over Mr Booo as he opened the lid.

With large numbers of family present I was starting to get a little over crowded so I got a few hours quiet time to grab some supplies and collect a few geocaches. Thought these would be mainly park and grabs but some were a bit more challenging (and three I couldn’t locate) but a nice run anyway.
Too clever for me on this one - tried twice and GPS had me searching all over the place. Couldn’t download old logs and so may have missed the container on my searches.

Forgot to download the map before and we lost reception but this was a blind search but based it off the last one.
Blind luck for us! TFTC

We were very antsy about getting this one. Guess what? We had no ANTics from little insects and were successful! Tftc Techsavvy9
I’ll sort this out when I get home from holidays. In the meantime if you find it and can’t sign it that’s ok.
But couldn't sign because there were lots of ants in the cache container sorry. Hope its OK to log ?
TFTC! Found it pretty quick, was filled with ants but tapped them out, hopefully they don't come back.
Gald the driveway was there to park in. Another quick find, as we make our way to Millfield. TFTC
I waited for traffic to pass then located and logged the cache. Thanks for another good hide.
Tftc techsavvy9, out collecting a few smiley faces we had to pass by the other day due to traffic or muggles.
another quick find on our drive through the area today . Thanks for the cache techsavvy9 tnln replaced as found sl
Maitland Day 4, camped at the showgrounds.
As the others headed to complete the dogs head we headed south to Cessnock then continued through to Hillfield & Wollombi. We had a couple of AL to do & a variety of caches to find.
We enjoyed our drive into the countryside away from the bustle of the city & cars.
We did well only the last cache of the day having a DNF
Thankyou techsavvy9 for placing this cache.

Was lucky enough to finish a little early today so we rolled out to the wild west and enjoyed finding the new Wollombi series.
A quick park and grab at this one despite the GPS swirling about a bit. TNLN TFTC

We've had our yearly Barrington camping weekend planned for a while, so after seeing this series hadn't been found we diverted through Wollombi on our way to Singleton/Scone to nab them, of course doing them in the wrong direction!
The GPS led us astray here and we wandered from side to side of the road, firing up the iPhone and Cachly and we were on top of it in seconds, in a spot we just didn't check carefully enough the first time.... TFTC!
