An unexpected trip to Helensville to pick up a Trademe purchase has resulted in a few local cache.

Just had to stop and if it weren’t for your gumboots just where would you be

I decided to go go a wee drive westwards along some backroads to bring back some past memories. It was great.

Of course there was a new(ish) or two since I was last up this way. It wasn't where I thought it might be especially when I read the hint to narrow my searching.

Cheers for the cache, capperz.

Visiting Woodhill Mountain Bike Park today with Geokid 7 who is on THe Ruby Project. Geomum thought she had better sneak away and grab a few caches.

Love the gumboots! Another quick park and grab. TFTC and the smiley .

Another solo caching trip for me, this time looking for the remaining unfound caches out west of us.
After finding D is For Dylan I parked up near the gumboots to look for this cache. I missed it on the first pass, checked the other side, then returned and checked deeper. Yep, there it is. Whew! TFTC

Cool gumboot fence, my red bands are in need of replacing too.

17-Jul-22
I wish we'd seen this bridge first, we might have been able to borrow a couple of pairs before squelching through puddles and mud at various caches in the area.
A quick and easy find, I had it in my hand before GeohoundandI had got out of the car.

NZ Travellers and I had a plan to cache and walk today. Unfortunately their geo-dog was unwell so Mrs NZT had to stay home to care for him so it ended up being just Mr NZT and myself. Had a great day out, ended on a nice round number of 40 (50 would have been better but I had to collect our minis from their camp).

We were at a count of 38 and needed 2 more and spied these off the side road so off we headed...cool fence. We made a bit of a meal of finding this one as we both missed it on the first pass...there was a real 'doh' moment when we found it.

Thanks for the cache.

Our primary reason for the trip mup this far today was to attempt all the caches in the park. Mrs NZT stayed home to look after Geo Dog (poor little bugga had had a rough night) and Keylev and myself set off to find all these.

After finishing the park caches we headed back down toward Helensville clearing up the remaining caches on the way.

Eventually found the little bugga!

I went to a wedding down this road about 10 years ago and don't remember the gumboots being there, they must have started gathering after that.

Straight forward hide/find for this one. Driven past here 100 times & never knew these boots were here.

A quick stop on the way back from South Head, and what a cool spot! Nice easy cache in the expected place, and thanks for placing it here so we got to see the gumboot fence. TFTC

Out and about with the elder Future Finder for an afternoon drive in the country. We parked up next to the art feature and I made the short walk back to GZ. The weather has taken a turn and its now much colder than before. Anyway, I made a real hash of searching for this one; it took way longer than it should have. Got there in the end. Cheers for the cache placement and sharing this fence of interest!

As I drove there, I was thinking this would be a bridge that you needed to cross wearing gumboot, then I arrived and saw the correct interpretation.
The cache was hiding really well, but once I got myself into a good position, I was able to grab it. TFTC.

Cool little quick stop, on our way home taking the scenic route after the Harbour Bridge swim this morning. TFTC! Brought back memories of doing the Taihape Gumboot Gallop

Found it during enjoyable trip to South Head in Auckland Region after attending
Geocaching Mini Quiz in Auckland Domain early this morning.
It is time to get my car dusty and also thanks for great reason to visit this area again.

Such a cool spot!
Thanks for placement!

I came up this way to grab a nearby FTF and thought it would be rude not to grab this one too. Nice quick find TFTC

Heading home from South Head with Supernannny we made the slight detour to find this cache. Never knew this Gumboot bridge existed, as we usually just whizz on up the motorway. Thanks for pointing this out to us.

13-Nov-20
Saw this one come out last evening just as I got home after a busy day.
I knew I was attending a function at Woodhill School on Friday evening so thought I would get it then.
However, I ended up doing some caching with Mrs Jag50 up in the South Head area today ....so we called in here on the way home.
I was so amazed.. ..I had no idea about this " feature " fence here.
Very pleased you have drawn our attention to it!
Thanks!

Sorry for late logging capperz. I have just caught up with hundreds of logs from Palmerston North trip and my recent Christchurch trip both of which went head to head. Note to myself.... spread the trips out!

Anyway I was sitting at home as it happened logging finds and I get a call from FMZ, do I want to head to Waimauku for a possible {FTF}. Well I do indeed! He picked me up and we sailed off in the dark late in the evening.

I was focused on finding the cache for my ftf for the month. Never noticed any gumboot bridge...lol. I'll come back in the daytime sometime and see it. Thanks for the cache and I see you have a lot more caches that have come out. Nice to see more people place caches other than the regulars who do. Joint ftf with FMZ.

Cool FTF#661 Cool

Saw this interesting looking cache pop up and thought, yeah why not. Picked up Gorby on the way and headed out into the darkness to visit the gumboot fence that I did not know was there until now. All quiet at GZ, and a nice quick find, just as another cache got published over towards Puhoi... so.... lol
Joint [FTF] with Gorby. TFTC!!!
