What a beautiful area - and so green at the moment. Looking forward to returning and finishing this series. Lucky something in the boot came in handy today. TFTC
Another quick find and didnt need to walk far from the car. Needed to be tall but the find was straight forward. Thanks for the cache!
Dodgy pen but managed to find the cache. Were both short so went and got assistance!TFTC
Today was a drive down to Wollombi and picking up what we can along the way. An overcast cool day, but still enjoyable. Not sure how we would vote, but either way, the road needs some work, only one nice smooth stretch.Total Caches Found 16186TFTC techsavvy9
Found at 11:24 AM GAFF1.It was appreciated to be off the main road for this cache. However there were nearly as many vehicles coming and going on this little Cedar Creek Rd - what's going on? A short cut for the locals maybe? Thanks to techsavvy9
Searched high and low and all the way in between where GPS settled down to zero. Found a spot where I thought it might be (a sneaky hiding spot I remember from another cache far, far away). But, alas, no luck for me today. I even searched around in the long grass but came up empty handed. I'm in the area for a bit longer ... might come past again for a second look and hopefully a smiley.
I spent a few hours on the Dogs Head trail today and when I got sick of getting in and out of the car every couple of hundred metres, I decided to head to Wollombi and do this short series back to Cessock ... I remembered that I'd told the CO at a recent event that I would. No mobile reception to start with, but it came back on soon enough. It didn't help me find the cache though ... I was already looking in the obvious spot. Having the listing just confirmed that the cache wasn't where it was presumably supposed to be ... and since there's really nowhere else a magnetic nano could be hiding, I think it has likely gone AWOL ... over to you techsavvy.
Almost couldn’t return this sneaky cache to its position, but with one of nature’s TOTTs, I just managed it - with the CO watching on…. TFTC

An impromptu weekend away parked close by and after a short search spotted the cache tucked away in a safe place.
All under the watchful eye of the locals.
Thanks techsavvy9 for placing this cache

A revisit after seeing someone else had found it. Realised it was a true micro

With large numbers of family present I was starting to get a little over crowded so I got a few hours quiet time to grab some supplies and collect a few geocaches. Thought these would be mainly park and grabs but some were a bit more challenging (and three I couldn’t locate) but a nice run anyway.
Based on the hint there really was only one spot this one could be. Straight on to it and quickly had the little sucker signed. All good here.

This cache will be replaced and moved within the next 2 weeks. By then I will know where the roadworks will end and start up again
I’ve checked the area again today but it’s still too wet and there are workers hanging around doing roadworks. I’ll check again next week.
The sign post was knocked over during the floods and is still unstable. When I can drive I will move it to another place.
We had hoped to find this one today but alas it wasn’t to be. Not anywhere I could find based on the hint.
Thanks anyway techsavvy9

thanks for another different hide had to grab this on the way back as had 3 cars parked around having a good conversation so moved on and picked on on return thanks for the great afternoon out
What a spot and lots of ants in the bag so can u please put in a new bag Cheers
Still didn’t have reception but parked and walked around until we got something! Stunning surrounds during golden hour TFTC!
I was up in the area today, joining lee737, Mighty Minions and Banj5150 on a caching jaunt along Brokenback Range. We arranged to meet near this cache before heading up into the hills so while waiting for the others to arrive I was able to make a quick find. All in good condition, many thanks for the hide.
TFTC! Cache container was crushed so had to get geo-dad to pop the container back out to get the log back in (was a struggle to get it out).
Missed the turn, reversed a little bit, and drove down to the bridge. Got us on this one. Though we did spot it from afar. Some kind soul has mowed each side of the road. TFTC.
We parked off the road very close to GZ and I saw the container which for some reason was a bit squashed and not in great condition. I logged and squeezed the log back in, thanks for the hide.
Tftc techsavvy9, out collecting a few smiley faces we had to pass by the other day due to traffic or muggles.
Pretty spot here by the creek

I was looking all around for the cache when Mr Minion found it laying on the ground. Unfortunately it has been run over. The log still comes out but it’s a bit of a squeeze . Replaced cache back where I thought it belonged . Thanks for the cache techsavvy9 tnln sl
Maitland Day 4, camped at the showgrounds.
As the others headed to complete the dogs head we headed south to Cessnock then continued through to Hillfield & Wollombi. We had a couple of AL to do & a variety of caches to find.
We enjoyed our drive into the countryside away from the bustle of the city & cars.
We did well only the last cache of the day having a DNF
Thankyou techsavvy9 for placing this cache.

Was lucky enough to finish a little early today so we rolled out to the wild west and enjoyed finding the new Wollombi series.
A quick park and grab at this one. Almost drove off with the iPhone on the roof of the car but realised just in time! That would have been awkward ha ha TNLN TFTC

We've had our yearly Barrington camping weekend planned for a while, so after seeing this series hadn't been found we diverted through Wollombi on our way to Singleton/Scone to nab them, of course doing them in the wrong direction!
Samuel spotted this before I was out of the car, I did the signing as the boys looked for platypuses (or is that *platypoda*?) in the creek... TFTC!
