We biked from the marina to this park and what a nice hidden gem! This was our first try and bsharwood spotted it quickly. Thanks for leading us here!
Back in town on our boat for a few days. This time we are heading south. After finding a prior dnf from last time we were here we had lunch and headed over to this park to sign a few logs here. A nice bike ride through a nice park.
Stopped here to finish the 3. Wandered around a bit then the cache was found. I like the lovely creek area. Signed the log and returned to where I found it. Thanks SSS Spinna76. All good with this cache. A favourite from me
We were asked to house sit at the Sunny Coast for the Australia Day weekend so that a German exchange student could stay home to meet other international students. Considering a long time ago I signed a cache with the challenge of 555 sunny coast caches and I have only 83....I thought this would be an opportunity to get a few more towards my goal. With two puppies and two children and extreme humidity and then rain, I didn't get as many as I would have liked to, but there are a few more in my list now. Like others before me, nothing could be seen.
So after a night away in an Airbnb just around the corner, I dragged my partner for a walk around this path with promises of there being somewhere nice to lay up with a blanket and read her book whilst I ticked off these three caches. We started from the opposite end, so this was #3 rather than #1 but it wasnt that sort of park either. Oops. After successful finds on the other two, I was optimistic until I saw there hadnt been a single log in over 6 months. Not even a DNF! The hint made some degree of sense but after searching everything that could plausibly be deemed related to Y and then everything that wasnt we conceded defeat.Seems to have been a lot of trees/branches removed recently so perhaps this went with them too who knows? Not me!
Out on a long walk taking in Mooloolaba and Alexandra Headland, while up on holidays on the Sunshine Coast. Searched and searched for this one for a good 25 minutes, but no luck. GPS seemed to be OK too, although there were only a few likely spots within 10m of the co-ordinates? Either I was barking up the wrong tree (trees!), or this one is goneski. Hopefully, others will continue to have more luck than I did!
Our third find of the day. Out and about with frannymfrog on the Sunny Coast and decided to do a bit of caching. This was quick find - although not as quick as the others - but the log was signed nonetheless.
TFTC! Found with frannymfrog logged as 3K!

Out and about on the sunny coast … catching up with family tonight so thought we would make the most of our weekend and grab some caches. Our geo trips have been few and far between so my geo senses are a tad rusty … luckily Potatochips101 is on it … and was rewarded with a quick find.
Found with potatochips101 (logged as 3K). TFTC

On our 4th attempt in 3 years, we have finally made it from Camden to Currimundi and are spending Christmas with our family who live up here ️ it is lovely to be back on the sunny coast after so long ️
This morning we were due to catch-up with some friends but unfortunately our plans fell through. Oh well, we know how we can fill in that time! So, bringing up our pre prepared list, we headed out to grab a few caches out around Buderim Meadows and Mountain Creek.
On our way back to the apartment for lunch, we couldn't resist stopping in here for a quick park and grab. We had no idea this lovely little patch of coastal rainforest was hidden away here. What a beautiful little stream just a few metres from GZ. It was very tempting to continue on along the pathway to find the other two caches in this series and discover what was around the next corner, but alas we will have to check it out on our next visit. Thank you so much for placing the cache and bringing us here!

Took a while to find this one with GPS jumping all over the place. Eventually settled and found the cache where Mrs Colwen had previously looked. DOH!!
SSS__Spinna76 I found your cache Emerald Woods Park #1 on 17/6/2022, 12:45 pm. This is my find 3533 and find # 7 today. Another quick and easy find. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
A planned weekend trip up to the sunshine coast to grab a few caches. I still need a few more to get me closer to that sunshine coast challenge. The trip worked in well for the Sunday morning CITO event in Coolum.
I meet up with Esmiley and we spent Saturday, day and night, caching areas that neither of us had been to before. We were not certain if the recent rains and floods would have effected any of the caches but we gave it a shot.
We first of hit the Sippy Downs area and we had some fun. Many of the caches here took much longer than they should have; we spent way too much time trying to find simple caches. We then moved towards the north, working our way to Coolum however, time ran out and we had to stop for the day. It seemed as though the day was getting hotter as it went on and got even worse during the night.
Thanks to all the CO’s for the caches, some I kept notes on, some were just great caches and some I really do not understand why. We signed all logs with both names and replaced as we found them.

Found it - it was lying in the open on the grass - suspect it had been muggled - I put it at the base of what I assume is the clue
I didn’t have a pen as have just arrived for the week and was taking geo gig for a quick walk
Will return and sign later in the week.

Pupil free day spent caching with geokid exploring new places. Quick easy find. Swapped some loot
Due to Covid-19 Lockdown I have disabled my Geocaches during the period of lockdown.
Passing muggles and their accompanying canine's were all the rage here.
Like ninja's they sprung at me from invisible hiding places.
Finally i had the treasure secured and signed.
Then skeddadled myself outta there back to the nest and sustenence.
Thank you spinna76 for placing caches along a bikepath in nature i didn't know was here and thoughtfully bringing it to my attention in the description!
Found around midday.
Find number 3011.

Having looped the opposite way to the passing muggle from before, i now had the same passing muggle.
Seems a dodgy bike is enough to deter them from stopping and asking questions. Nothing like making your brakes squeal in command.

Not sure about the previous finder taking the TB home, but we found a TB here too which was not logged to the cache and we had to grab it from the cacher holding it.
Made it past the flying foxes intact but unfortunately we were not stealthy enough and caused a bit of a ruckus. The barricade was down when we continued along the path and we only noticed at the end of our walk at the Goonawarra Dr end that there was a sign about not disturbing the colony. They probably should have it at both ends if they don't want anyone walking past.
Found the cache without too much trouble once at the right Y. Lots of birdlife around - pale headed rosellas flying past and a tawny frogmouth high up in a nearby tree.
Dropped off "Travel Bug - 366 Days of Geocaching - Ringing the Bell" and picked up Find Nemo travel bug.

super to get all three this morning. But the long walk down the road to our car parked at the other end was a bit wearisome! I'll bring a pushchair next time! And read the maps better!

4:39:00 PM. We kept following the path and enjoying mostly a shady walk. Our geodog was enjoying new smells. A brief search and we found the cache well covered. Log signed and returned. I hope this one lasts as muggles appear quickly and seemingly out of no where. Back down the street to our vehicle. A nice walk and thanks for bringing us here. Thanks for the cache spinna76

I had just left the beach and was on my way to go for a walk for a couple of new caches on my way home. I heard my phone ding and just after parking checked my messages and saw this new one. Well that was handy as I was parked pretty close.
So I trusted my phone and was soon near GZ where the cache was soon in hand. A nice blank logbook which is always nice.
Log signed and all returned as found.

Trackables visited too.
