We are making our way home from Melbourne the long way as is our usual mode! Thought wed mosey around the edge of this lake and of course then I always have to check if there is a cache along the way. A nice drive, but the lake is well and truly dry. Looks like its been quite a while since it saw or held any water. Tracks around the edge was in good condition. A quick find was made here and we were on our way. TFTC.
No water in the lake a nice drive and a quick findThank youK9team for bringing us out here, showcasing this lovely area, contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy. Happy trails!
Small detour off the main road out to this spot, nice place not many trees around on this side so a quick find was hadOn a week long trip to Melbourne for work and to watch the AFL prelim at the MCG, I decided to drive over and make a bit if a caching trip out of it as well. Stopping to find the odd cache here and there along the way. Thanks for the cache
On the road to Mildura. Find #4. We had this one marked as a nice quiet picnic lunch spot for our long drive. It has worked a treat, and it is a beautiful day.Cache in great condition. The GeoKids appreciated the humour behind the duck theme. Lake is looking a little dry though!
Targeted this cache as our lunch stop on the way to Mildura. It ended up being a more isolated spot than we anticipated, but we enjoyed the sandwiches and finding the cache. The boys were excited to find a fish trackable inside so were taking it on our road trip and will find a new home for it soon. 250km to Mildura. TFTC.
Found this nice simple but effective hide easily on our way to the Lameroo June Long Weekend event, planning an overnight stop at Rainbow. There were no issues on the track, nand we were quickly on our way again.TFTC and all the information regarding Donald Duck, least we knew and grew up with him, he will be becoming a bit if history for the next generations.
Completed a day trip in and around Donald, perfect autumn day for it. Very quiet out here but a lot of active bird life, cache was easily spotted.
Very quick and easy find in this windy weather love the wildlife on the lake . Found with Lonely RA
That was a fun find for the 5 year old. . . . . We had to bite our tongue while she tried to tell us it wasn't here. Thanks for that one
Found while on a road trip with muggle mother to a friends wedding in Donald. With the morning free took the opportunity to grab a couple of local caches before a visit to the Kookas Country Cookies shop.
Thanks k9team
Thanks k9team
After attending a cousins funeral in Warracknabeal, we decided to do a bit of caching on th e way home. Found this cache and it was a pleasure to sign the log. Lots of birdlife on the lake which brightened our day. Thanks K9team.

Easy trip in here in the 2wd at this time of year..cache and log in excellent condition tftc..so many birds on the lake
Today was our last morning in Donald for this trip and we wanted to see Lake Bulloke Track dry but rough in parts. Cache easily found before we continued on around the lake to Lake Bulloke. We ended turning around when the track got too slippery and muddy rather than getting bogged.
After a visit yesterday cache is back in its original hole and water has receded. In a few places it’s a bit boggy getting in but manageable
Due to the Floods expected to hit Donald this afternoon and until the water recedes this cache has been disabled until I can check on it in November

School holidays are here and the road beckoned! Cruised through St Arnaud then through Donald, into Warracknabeal and on to Dimboola... It was a bit muddy and hectic getting to GZ for us to be able to stop and enjoy the views as we logged the cache! We got there and back in one piece though. Thanks for the cache K9team!

We are on our maiden voyage in our caravan but have stayed close to home and the dealer in case we have any teething problems.
Having arrived in Donald and set up camp, time to find some caches nearby.
We found 2 that I couldn't log as we discovered they were archived (although still in place).
A quick find

Heading back home for the current lockdown restrictions, we made a detour off the Sunraysia Hwy on this rainy afternoon as we enjoyed the impressive rainbows arching over the canola fields. We found the duck after a slippery drive into GZ.
Maybe a warning for 2WD's, walk in when wet, we skidded around the bend in a 4WD.
Thanks K9team for showing us to the lake, we were actually amazed to see it here amongst the crops.

Suscoe headed north west from St Arnaud early this morning on a circular journey that would take us out past Donald and then to the south of Donald visiting caches as we went.
It was a cool but pleasant enough Winter's day.
By the time we got home late this afternoon we had covered 455 kms and we had visited a number of multi caches as well as a good number of traditionals.
We also saw some wonderful sights and amazing countryside.
Thanks K9team for this hide.
We carefully made our way in along the track with a couple of boggy bits avoided.
The cache was found and while signing the log we were amazed by the sound of the waterfowl coming across the lake.
So many birds here today.

Found this one after a short but muddy drive to the gz after the recent rains. Glad l had my 4wd ute for this one as it was a little greasy under wheel and l wasn't sure if l would be getting my self into a spot of mischief. Never the less l soon found myself at the gz and made a quick find and then did a 3 point turn a little past gz and headed back out onto the main road and listened to the mud flick off and up off my wheels as l made way into town. Thanks K9team for the hide and for bringing me here.
K9team[:X] and Ghihash were going to St Arnaud and I got to tag along too[^]
A 4 day trip during which I found 94 geocaches, had 1 DNF which was later remedied with the CO's approval[^] and I only had to 'write note' on 1 of the 50 challenge caches that were found
We camped in the caravan park[^] the first two nights and then Rex and I camped up the top of a hill the 3rd night[|)][^][|)] after our friends had left for home Although that was fun trying to direct the RACV to the Corolla the following morning, when the less than a year old RAA supplied battery wouldn't start the Corolla!
There was rain, there was cold, there was lots of laughs and the best weekend I've had away for a long time![:X][^][:X]
16 caches attempted today in our great little group
1 DNF on the last atempted cache for the day and the other 15 were finds
I was fortunate to come and find this cache in the company of the lovely CO[:X] and her friend, Ghihash
Thankfully on this visit to this area, Rex DIDN'T play with a danger noodle![^]

Long time since i was here getting the odd duck on opening morning, as well as this area held the local church picnics here for the 4 church groups , some of us walked out from town to picnic in the 1960's TFTC
It was far too hot for ducks and for geocaching, according to muggle husband. Fortunately this cache was found quickly and easily.
After my usually busy Christmas and Boxing Day I was able to hit the road for a 1 week break which I was looking forward to and I had plans on where I was going to.
Then a couple of muggle friends suggested we head away together and my plans changed for the first time.
So we had a trip planned to NSW and all was going great.
Then our plans were changed with what was happening in NSW so we picked a spot on the map and that was Hopetoun.
The silo art up this way is something that we had been looking at for a while so now we had our trip planned.
Came up through Nullawil and Sea Lake to see those silos then headed west to start the silos that I haven’t done yet and we stayed at Hopetoun for a few days to visit the rest of them.
It was time to head towards home and after stopping in Woomelang for some great art then Birchip and now heading towards Donald in a very roundabout way.
Made my way in to this one and the lake is very dry at the moment, I wonder if it ever fills.
Soon located the cache and said hello to the duck.
Note to oneself you need to remember that you are towing a camper so I had to work out were to do a U-turn.
Thanks K9team TFTC

I was taking the long geocaching road home today and stopped by this very dry lake. An easy find was made and I added a few swaps to the container TFTC

Find No. 3130. Found at 6.48pm. Second to Find.
As we had to go to Donald for a meeting, we left earlier so that we could venture out the road and find this cache. Co-ords took us to the area and it was a quick find. Signed the log. We had no time to look around here tonight as we had to head back into Donald for the start of our meeting.
Cache page said there was room for swaps. We were second to find the cache but alas there were no swaps in the cache.

We saw this one come out last night and thought that one of the local's would be out here licky split. As of 10.00am this morning we saw that no one had been here so we now had a plan for what we would do on a lovely Sunday morning. The plan was to grab this FTF.
The lake is dry so this poor duck is not going for a swim anytime soon.
We left a pathtag for the next collector.
