Wouldn't have even known this place was here except for the cache .. thank you for a little bit of history to break up the long drive.
Beautiful tribute to the fallen soldiers. Hopefully the trees will last another hundred years or more. Cache was found in excellent condition.
TFTC, in the area looking at silos, even remembered to check for a cache. Didnt have a pen handy though.
Away for the ANZAC Day weekend painted Silo Art tour. (Self drive) picking up a cache at each location. TFTC
Interesting spot, picked the wrong day for the gallery but the right day for the cache LOL TFTC
Road tripped to Adelaide for the Leap Day Mega and am now wending my way home to Queensland caching along the way. As soon as I pulled into town I knew I'd been here before. Went and did the letterbox and then this one. I had actually signed this one on the 4/5/21 when I took a chance and did that lightning trip down for the third geotour launch event. I'll log it today as it makes life simpler and I signed it again. TFTC
The Adelaide Leap Day Mega and Canberra Geobash gave us a great excuse for a road trip. This trip has shown us so many new and interesting places as weve chased LGAs, oldies, challenges, interesting D/T combinations, rarer cache types and favourites.Meeting up with friends old and new along the way, we sometimes cached together and sometimes alone but always had a great time. For a few days we have based ourselves in Avoca to explore the goldfields area, attend some events, climb some hills, visit out of the way places and learn some history. Thanks to the CO for placing and maintaining this cache and adding to our enjoyment.
What a neat location and set up. Makes a former serviceman proud. Well done to those who came up with the idea and saw it through to completion. Thanks for highlighting the location chooknchunk....cache all good and fav point added.
Thoroughly enjoying our caching day in Avoca. Another cool spot, another cool cache. Tftc
Out with sorceysal for a few days at St Arnaud. Along the way we stopped to collect a few caches to add to our finds list. Not sure what this was going to be until we pulled up in the car. Of course the ode was remembered then. Thanks for highlighting this chooknchunk
On the way to St Arnaud for a couple of days with 6 hinemoa2. Love this type of art. Looks great and thanks for bringing us here.
Swept away the cobwebs and found the cache! We noticed we can indeed see the back of the painted silo from here.. and someone was observing us closely with disapproval.. (photo)
A quick find with frmen1. The rain had just started, so grateful for the hint. A lovely memorial. Left a bit more swag. TFTC
Quick find with accurate coords and in good condition. Found with tassie expat while exploring this interesting area. Thanks for placing it.
Having 4 days off from work so my wife suggested to go geocaching, so took her advice and came to St Arnaud for 4 days of cache searching this was found on my way there.
Thanks to all the cache owners for placing them.

Our geo-cacher was saying we hadn't got this one and we were sure we had (we checked later and we had)....... but to make sure we decided to log it, as Mr Moose was putting his hand in to get it he said it was a bit webby as he was pulled the cache out, on top of it was a big huntsman, I don't know who was more scared, the spider or Mrs Moose both ran off in different directions, Mr Moose signed the cache and put it back, while Mrs Moose watched from the car, so be warned there could be a very pissed of huntsman guarding the cache
Saw this close by while checking out the silos so had to stop by. Thanks for bringing us here!
Read a log mentioning spiders so had spiders on the brain but I'm not sure if I actually saw a big fuzzy thing or not . TFTC and lest we forget. ️

Quick easy find by the small person, he located a huntsman while he was at it. Thanks for bringing us here
Came to see the silo art and noticed a cache nearby. Looks like there may be a restaurant at the old station, but not open today. Knew where to look and being a Sunday, no one around. Silo art is fantastic, glows in the dark too! Now on our way to Daylesford for late lunch.
Another interstate with wildgoose cache and the geo kid. The geo kid found this first. Tftc
12021 Located by baby&Mrs gopher at 1155. Always like these hides. Lets one remember service gone by. SL Tnx choohnchunk
Quick find, thankfully, as the day has turned bitterly cold. The metal art is quite effective. Tftc
We let the dog out for a quick run around off lead for this find which set the neighbourhood dogs off barking. We made the quick find and carried the dog unceremoniously back to the car. He wasn’t sure what he did wrong and sulked all the way home.

Off to Maryborough tonight so we left early and detoured via Avoca for some caches. What a great little memorial here. Easy find. Thanks for the cache
Little hands can grab easy mind the hairy friend that lives with it FisherTribe 1.5.22
Woohooo 200th find on a lovely Sunday outting 4x4ing mind the fury friend
What a beautiful tribute to the fallen. I was so surprised when arriving here. Wonderful!! And the cache was an added bonus tftc
A quick find though the guarding huntsman was unimpressed. The rusting steel befits the theme very well.
We are here again in Maryborough visiting Lady’s membsec’s mother who turned 90. It’s nice to be around family members but you also need a break so we decided to get out nice and early and target a few caches and then go for any other caches on the way and back. We wanted to visit mother, so arrived back in Maryborough just after lunch and then had more time to chase down a few more caches.
We saw a muggle over the road so before we got out of the car we read the hint to try and make sure we could grab the container without anyone realising what we were doing, but we had to laugh because the hint didn’t quicken our search as it depends on which side you are standing on and we assumed it would be as you were reading the sign….nope!
TFT laugh and cache.

As part of our last full day in Ballarat we decided to take a day trip to Lexton, Amphitheatre, Avoca and Talbot. We found a variety of cache types as well as completing 3 Adventure Labs. Thanks to the CO's for placing and maintaining these caches and showing us so many aspects of the region.
Out and about caching between Ballarat and Avoca. Attempted various caches which took us to different areas of the countryside ab=nd villages. Found cache and signed log. TFTC
