Solved the coordinates for this with Toyhunters and Baristayan, then strolled on out to make the find. Lots of fishermen out this morning!Quite a chilly breeze coming in off the water, which has taken care of a few of these old sailors by the looks! Love the mohawk thothanks!

27-May-23
Headed down to Geelong for the CITO this morning and then took a walk along the beach front grabbing a few more caches. Due my planning last night, this one sounded interesting, so gave it a go to see what it was all about.

A great are to walk out and around, so glad I gave it a go. Sorted the answers ok and then headed to GZ, where it took a minute of two to put my hands on the cache, however all was good and my name was soon in the log book. Cache was re-hidden and the I continued my walk before heading back to shore.

Thanks Larafolk for keeping this one going. A bit of fun. Cache all good. Fav point added.

Great spot for a wander. Enjoyed our day at the waterfront

08-Mar-23
A lovely multi, and after finding what was needed, we sat down to crunch the numbers before heading out on this detour on our promenade walk.
A wonderful and deviously placed hide. So safe, but in a totally correct place for a good hide here.
We loved it. A FP added.
Thanks Bushfire and Larafolk

**In town to see Jimmy Carr and dinner with TR!**

The thing I love about caching is the interesting stories, the extra interest and attention you take when traveling, the sight-seeing, the history, the interests of the individual CO’s, *the fantastic photo opportunities* and sometimes finding places that even some locals don’t know about. I, like most cachers, look for more that a mint tin or a container under a bush. I appreciate the time that most CO’s take to construct a cache and write up a comprehensive listing and to create an interesting cache. **I love traveling this big land of ours.** I love taking the roads less traveled. I love the diversity of the land, the different scenes in the different seasons, the fresh air, the open plains, the lofty vistas and the magnificent waters. I even enjoy the longer scenic walks although I'm not as young and as fit as I used to be.Wink I love the different coffee shops I find. I enjoy the times I cache with others but I usually cache on my own.
A cool evening for a stroll along this part that I hadn't walked along before. After completing the work for this one, we made our way to GZ and very few muggles out thanks to the weather. Log was signed and returned as found.
Thank you Larafolk for highlighting this area and for adding this cache to my real-life treasure hunt. Appreciate your efforts. Big Grin

**Warning**, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to learning new things and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Big Grin

Cache on! Cool

Nice walk along the foreshore, nice hide i had worked out the CO but had to seek help to locate the cache as I didn't know were to start - turned out I had the right idea just needed to persist a little longer. Fav point re location and hide.

06-Feb-23
Found on our way past today while touring around Geelong today. Another nicely hidden cache along this walk. Found in a break from muggles. Signed log and left as found, cheers.

Find #5323 on 6 Feb 2023.
TFTC Larafolk!

27-Jan-23
Marmalade’s dad is down for the Festival of Sails so what a great time to take a stroll on the Wangim Walkway. A few side glances but cache was quickly in hand.

22-Jan-23
We made the scenic walk out to the farthest point, where we stopped to admire the view and attempted to do calculations. Maybe we'd been on our cruise ship for too long, but we started to feel the sway of the ocean a bit too much for concentrated thinking, so we headed to dry land to finish up. Once we'd figured out where we needed to go, the cache was a quick find. We were impressed with the repurposing of the pen, though we'd brought our own, so we didn't test whether the one in the cache still writes. Wink TFTC, Bushfire, and thanks for keeping this multi going, Larafolk!

21-Jan-23
Coordinates worked out and a windy walk to GZ. Plenty of people around looking at a big boat in the bay.

Thanks for the Multi-cache Larafolk Smile

13-Jan-23
Welfare check on this cache today while replacing it's brother. All good, this seems to be the only one staying put for any length of time so far.

*Found on the 17 Dec 2022 @ 4:17 pm.*
*Cache find # 13836.*

I was in between events once again trying to decide what to do next, so I headed back to this area to do a few more bollard Ad Labs but also have a look at this one.
I info was collected and I went for a stroll to the end, on the way back I stopped at GZ and I was lucky enough to check out the correct spot straight away, the log was signed and the cache replaced before heading back to land.

**Thanks to Bushfire & Larafolk for placing this cache.**

Technically a DNF, but not logging as such as I really didnt get a chance to have a great look. Got what I needed to calculate gz, stood there doing so and the heavens opened. Water droplets and touch screens do t go hand in hand and the rain deleted half my freshly typed notes, including GZ

A short stroll nearby for some cover, reworked my note and the rain had mostly cleared. Heading off to GZ, searched for about 60 seconds and the heavens opened again, this time the wind came with it. I was already pushing for time, and will have to return anyway once the trad is replaced, so I legged it.

02-Dec-22
Had the ship berthed alongside this cache for the last week. Thought it was about time to make the grab! Thanks for the multi!

Mrs TiedyeSmileys froze put there this morning in the wind
That cache was a corker of a hide

TFTC and greetings from Tassie

This seems strange to be logging a cache that I placed not that long ago as the walk took a long time to construct so thinking ahead I reserved the three locations.
It has not been an easy location to place a cache owing to the limited locations to hde one.
Finally, I must thank my good friend The Larafolk for looking after this guy as it has got to the stage when I must pass it on and wish it good luck for the future. I know it is in good hands.
Thanks, my friend.

Found with the original owner and the new CO during a maintenance walk.
After attending the CITO and the enjoying a coffee and a chat with Bushfire a group of us tagged along during the maintenance walk today.
What a fascinating structure this is. Well worth the walk out to the end. An excellent little multi.

Never pass up an opportunity to join a cache owner or creator in performing maintenance... not only are you likely to get smilies you wouldn't otherwise, but you'll learn a lot.

Especially when that cache creator is the Red Ant.

What a bit of engineering this facility is!

Thanks, Bushfire, for inviting us along.

Late last night, while putting the finishing touches on preparation for the trip to today's cleanup at Eastern Beach, my phone decided that would be the perfect time to not work. Unsuccessful attempts at reflashing the operating system morphed into searching online for a replacement.

Which is how, after a sleepless night and a foggy morning drive, I visited the office supplies giant for a new device while n0w0rries found coffee.

Obviously, my Geocaching app of choice was the first thing to be installed.

Enjoyed working out this multi. Signed.

The last in the series today, this one too had to be replaced. Unlucky that all 3 went missing at once. Hopefully they stay put for a while. A group of us all signed the log. The Wangim Walk is a remarkable design worth a stroll along. It's quite misty out on the bay today. The sun is trying to come out. Thanks for this series. Great to get 3 in such a small area.

27-Aug-22
After helping collect rubbish from along the nearby shoreline a few of us accompanied the CO on a maintenance check along Wangim Walk The fog rolled in and the cool wind made me glad I was well rugged. It seemed all 3 caches needed replacing and my name is now in this one A good walk in great company Thanks Bushfire for another great caching experience. A favourite point here

18-Jul-22
After lunch with GeoJo at the Valley Inn, when she'd mentioned this newish addidtion to the Geelong tourist inventory, we all decided to check out the caches there. gathered the numbers as we passed by, and made our way out to GZ. Quite cold out there, with the occasional passing lighet shower. Sadly, all three of us drew a blank despite what we thought was an extensive search. Too good for us today. Our thanks anyway to Bushfire.

03-Jul-22
Had a good look and also a phone a friend and it seems to be missing sadly. Great spot

17-Jan-22
I could not check this guy today as there were muggles everywhere checking out the boat that was moored closeby.

Out with TheLostWanderer smashing out a few caches!! Lovely spot and thankfully hardly any muggles. TFTC

Being unaware of what this was all about I googled it and was very surprised at this new attraction.
Collected the info at the designated spot and headed off to find my treasure. At this stage all was calm and I could look without any motion sickness. Found something and pondered why that was there. Of course it dawned on me why and on careful inspection I knew that in my hands I had what I wanted. So clever yet again...
Thanks for the fun here Bushfire another FP donated here far all the above reasons.

17-May-21
The latest attraction in Geelong, and Bushfire is all over it. Not going to be easy of course when muggles are about, but then again you can always tie a shoelace! Lucky no wind or rain today or else would have been an uncomfortable find. Now this is a first for one of these hides!

Found by Rebel Acts

My good friends Ski Pair were heading down to Geelong for a few days and invited Me to join them, who could resist being chauffeured around and the company and laughs are always good. We had a great time touring the area discovering new locations while finding caches, We even managed dinner with Suscoe and Busfire.

This is one of the caches we found for the week. the rocking was starting to make us feel sea sick but the cache was soon in hand and we were off to the next one.

Thanks Bushfire for the cache.

What n interesting new feature! It was a surprise to us.
We collected the required information and then headed off to GZ. With a bit of a breeze and small chop we were surprised how much the pathway moved between our feet. It was a challenge to our senses, as you don't expect concrete to move! Mrs SKI who has had some instances of vertigo recently found it quite challenging.
Previos experience led to a quick find.

It is that time of year for SKI Pair when we say goodbye to our Gippsland area and set off to do some travelling for an extended period of time. After last year when Covid restrictions saw us spent all of winter at home for the first time in many years e were looking forward to getting away again. Now overseas travel is still definitely out of the question so we decided to try doing some in Victoria before heading north. Mrs SKI has some loose connections with Geelong, so we decided to give the area a try and hope that the weather is kind.
After talking to Rebel Acts he decided that wasn't a bad idea and decided to join us for a few days of serious caching. Today was our first day, so after arrival we set off to see what we could see and find.

The figures were easily obtained and at GZ the cache was too. Thanks Bushfire for placing these caches here.

09-May-21
Out and about in Gellong with Alansee today, we crunched our numbers and did our calculations. At GZ we were pleased there were no muggles in the immediate vicinity as there certainly plenty moving past. We signed the log and replaced. What a wonderful attraction for Geelong, thanks Bushfire.

27-Apr-21
Our first visit to Wangim Walk saw us working on the multi to fill in a calendar date. A very impressive promenade to set off an already exciting waterfront. Once we had our clues we were able to get a set of coordinates the checksum agreed with. At GZ , perfect coords had us searching and finding the well hidden cache after waiting for muggles to pass us by.
Thanks Bushfire for the multi highlighting Geelong's latest enhancement.

25-Apr-21
Fresh from the buzz of our first Geelong FTF, we walked around Wangim Walk with Neville-devil to find the Multi and Traditional that are on the Walk. The calculations were made, and off we walked. It was a lovely evening to be out and caching, and the conversations were most helpful. We are so glad we live where we do, as all the local caches we have met and spoken to are such friendly and helpful people, and Neville_devil is another one of those people. We were soon at GZ, and we discovered a type of hide we hadn't seen before. Neville_devil had a pen, too, which enabled us to sign the log as we had left our pen in the geomobile. Thank you for this cache, Bushfire.

Nice Find

As we were walking to the traditional we thought there were a few good signs around that could be utilised for a cache. Bushfire was one step ahead and we were grateful for the straight forward calculations and a familiar style hide after the traditional - though we did get a little jolt! TFTC.

Catching up some very overdue logs.
AusFox and I were in town tonight as he was helping me prepare a hide for a up coming cache and because we were in the area we took the opportunity to explore this area which I didn't even know had been built. After finding the information it soon led us to GZ and were on the hunt for our prize. We check a few hiding spot unsuccessfully before I managed to spot the tricky hide.
Thank you Bushfire for showing us this new area to explore

12-Apr-21
It would be rude to drive past a new cache while in the area with SimsFamily.
Now was time for us to see if we could walk on water as we looked at the current maps of the area. We were reassured as we stepped into the bay to gather the required information which led us to GZ. It took a few goes to locate the tricky hide.
Log signed and replaced as found.

Thanks for introducing me to this new are that I wasn’t aware of Bushfire

SmileSmileSmile FIRST TO FIND SUSCOE [FTF] SmileSmileSmile

Well we missed the notification via email for this one by quite a good number of minutes.
We were busy working on a few projects that have been on the to do list for a while.
A quick check between tasks and we saw what we had missed, so with some uncertainty we gathered our devices and headed to the car.
With this delay we fully expected that we would have company at the listed Co-ordinates or maybe someone had already headed to the GZ location.

So once we were on the road, a good number of red lights hindered our progress, as did some police action on the approach to the James Harrison Bridge.

However luck was on our side in the little street near the Fisherman's Pier with a parking spot sitting vacant for us. A quick dash to the parking metre for a ticket on line and then we were off to the starting co-ordinates.
The questions were straight forward and after sorting the formula we had a GZ that seemed likely.

Still no familiar faces around so we walked to where the co-ordinates told us to and soon after a clever little cache was in our hands. It was opened and a clean log greeted us and a FTF for us here today. Luck was on our side this afternoon.

Thanks to Bushfire for this multi, a great way to get to know about this walk and to understand what has been done here.
A favourite from us.
A couple of photos also show what the afternoon was like looking from the walkway.
