Checked, flood caused path of creek to change, foot bridge gone, banks scoured. Might be possible to walk across upstream but shallowness just a reflection of the dry weather. Looked to see if pedestrians could walk across the cement bridge but not safe. Archive.
Checked previously & had been washed away. Ordered new containers & will replace once the cyclonic winds abate.
No good here for us today, walked in from the road side and came to GZ. Significant flooding has been here as there is flood debris head high in the trees. Would be great if the CO could check to see if it is still here.
#18805 - 1:54:00 PM; Headed to Kiama for the weekend and stopped off in Kangaroo Valley and Berry on the way through to collect some caches, including this one. Found a convenient park and headed off to GZ for a quick find and sign here. TFTC Tuena
Nice find after a relaxing walk. Log needs replacing. TFTC JenneG and Budgy. North Nowra. NSW.
Beautiful stroll over to the cache crossing the babbling brook although we didn't see any Bass fingerlings this afternoon, perhaps next time.
Thanks for the cache Tuena.
Log sheet was full and would have replaced it but had nothing suitable with us today.

A quick find once at GZ, definitely a backwater compared with the nearby playground. Thanks for the cache Tuena
Nice little walk except for the mower man making a lot of noise.
The creeks were pleasant to walk over.
Cache was found quickly and returned as found.

Beautiful little walk and an easy find. I had no idea this was even here. TFTC and an FP from me!
Found while out on a nice sunny day in berry with the geo they loved crossing the river to track this one down today.
Nice little area, GPS coordinates a bit off but found pretty easily.
Happy to report that the cache is in good condition and the log nice and dry.

What a great little creek, shame it wasn't a warmer day. Phone jumped around a tad but made the find relatively easily.

The creek looks like a good place for kids to play.
Replaced wet log, all set to go

Replaced logbook. Tested phone, ok although used Garmin to find. Pandemonium over at the newly opened children's adventure playground.
Went to do maintenance with full confidence that the GC app would guide me to the tree as knew I wouldn't remember the exact one. Opened app upon walking the plank but alas the app said the cache was disabled despite also showing it was enabled. The replacement was 40 metres from the original so measured that but too many trees. Thought I might have to enable the enabled cache via the app so did that but no change. What a waste of time on a hot & humid day. Restarted the phone but no change. I'll revert to my Magellan and/or Garmin.
Ducked down to Berry from Kangaroo Valley for a couple of caches. Parked as suggested and headed across the bridges. A nice quick find at GZ to find a fresh log. Slightly damp, but signed and replaced. My first find for the year and not sure if I wrote 2021 or 2022? TFTC.

Couldn’t find it for ages until the ninja decided to climb some trees! TFTC
On a nice walk around Berry, found a few caches on the way. Quite a buzz of mozzies about, so luckily had a quick find. TFTC Tuena
I seem to recall finding another cache near here a very long time ago. My dog, Dingo, had a reaction to the Wandering Dew.
Despite the rain I turned this one up in quick time.
Cheers

Only a few metres away from where I started my original search. A nice place apart from the traffic. Tftc
Happy New Year and off to an early start for my caching for 2021. After getting to GZ it took a little to locate but eventually spotted it.
Thanks
Thanks
Needing a break from Chrissie preparations, jumped in the car and found myself heading south for a drive, grabbing a few caches along the way to help a year end tally. The cicadas were deafening for sure, chirping from every tree in the GZ radius (which is a nicer “backwater” than the name initially implies) but I was more surprised seeing so many close up, even having to brush a few away to reach the cache. Been a lot of bushcare work since I last did a cache near here, as I noticed finding an easier path across the creek, back to my car and peace.
Love the trees. They are full of live cicadas. The noise is ear piecing. Our geo hounds would have loved this area. TFTC

Had to be at the Shoalhaven river today for some floodboat training and couldn't resist in picking up a few caches on the way.

TFTC. Lovely spot , bushcare are doing a great job maintaining the area . Easy find once you were on the correct side of the brook.
I was heading into Nowra to do some food shopping and noticed this cache was yet to be found so i continued onto Berry to take a look,i like what they've done here such a nice little reserve.
I walked a few loops before spotting the hide, great to score a [FTF] too and now to get back to my original plan.
Thanks Tuena for the cache
