**#21,527**Chose to head the advise to do this one on the way out, just enough enthusiasm left to collect this vial smilie, vial views too....
Staying at the park campsite this week, we needed ice. So off to Matakana and this cache on the way. Couldn't find it after 15-20 minutes so continued on our way. On the way back, we had better phone coverage and could see the aerial view. Turns out we were on the wrong corner. Quick turn around, found the right corner and found the cache quick smart. TFTC
We headed out to Tawharanui early this morning to beat the crowds, enjoy a walk along the beach and of course to find the new cache there. We remembered that this cache was here as we passed so pulled over to look for it and made a nice quick find thanks to the hint.Unfortunately, in our haste we forgot to look at the view and forgot again as we left later on therefore are very pleased that a photo has been included so we can see what we missed. Very thoughtful, thanks Gorby. At least there were plenty more views to see at Tawharanui. TFTC
After another successful tree planting day at Tawharanui Regional Park ,a quick roadside cache on the way home tftc
We are staying in the area for a couple of days and picked this one up on the way out to Tawharanui Marine Reserve. Nice quick find - amusing hint! TFTC
In the area today after Mrs stik-a-crane planed for a small group to explore the Regional Park that we had previously unsuccessfully tried booking camping time at......Seeing there were many caches in the park there was talk it may require a couple of visits to gather all the caches up for offer, but as my goal for the year is 3 cache finds per day, the thought of even gathering half the available caches was going to help my target.....plus to be able to explore the park a second or third time might not be a bad thing.....
The carer was booked for 24 hours, as we had a 5am start, joined up with the team and off we headed .....arrived at the carpark with only a few cars already parked and headed off to this cache after ticking off the available ad.lab locations....heading along the North coast trail to the end of the peninsula taking a few detours as needed, and as it was overcast and quite windy there was only a handful of muggles around......found with Keylev on our way home.......
TFTC.

After an epic day exploring Tawharanui Regional Park (started out from home at 5am) we had completed the loooong walk (just over 20km), we had cached along the road where we could drive past and were now out of the park and heading towards home....
No good views for us from here at this time of the day being pitch black but a nice view somewhere around knee / thigh height for sure
Thanks for the cache.

Had this cache on the list to retrieve but always been too busy to stop. Today it was pouring with rain and no one was around so seemed like a good opportunity. Unfortunately no view to admire so make a quick find and the carried on. Tftc
Easy parking on the way home from Tawharanui, once I found the cache it was so obvious. TFTC
Someone coined this b4 I found it. Isn't there a saying like someone coined it , I think it means they made money out of a venture.
Was out in Tawharanui for a walk today and stopped to grab this unfound cache on my way home again. Parked at GZ, took in the view and made a quick find of the cache. TFTC!
After being muggled at the previous cache we moved on and quickly found this one.
Grabbed this as i was leaving. Very hot day so was glad it was a quick find. TFTC
Enjoyed a long day out geocaching with nette1234 and merlot58.
Furthest I've walked for months !
Time to head home .....this was the last one in the area .... Thanks
So many great views to be seen today.

After a big mission today to get to the end of Tauwharanui peninsula and collect all our unfound caches in the park, we were heading home and had time for "JUST ONE MORE CACHE!". This one was a quick park and grab, before we headed to Matakana for an icecream. TFTC
Definitely a cache to get on the way out. A quick park and grab then time to head home
Earlier in the month, a plan had been formed for Team G0LD, to make a one day raid on Tawharanui to try and find as many caches as possible. Friday night, the weather was looking decidedly dodgy and the forecast for Saturday wasn't that good either, but we decided to carry on anyway, and only head for home when the rain arrived.
Well, although it was windy and a little cold, the rain held off all day and we managed over 70 finds on our 18+ km walk around the park and surrounds.
Heading home now and as recommended, stopped for this one on our way out. Getting a bit colder and windier now, but luckily still not raining. A nice quick find. TFTC

Nearly Team GOLD's last cache for the day. A quick park and grab on our way home. It was quickly spotted but I loved the clear instructions none the less. We've had a great day out at Tawharanui today. A lot of hills walked (18kms), beautiful views and a great numbers of caches (about 70), TFTC
On the way in I was guessing where this might be but didn't have the app open. On the way back out (as recommended) I got mrs c to do the guiding and appreciated the decent parking available. Quick find and replaced as found, not veiled and not vile at all. Up the Villa, and off to the village (of Leigh, or is it Lee?).
With some unsettled weather forecast for the weekend we reckoned that an improving Saturday was the best option, and so it was. We headed out for a return visit to the popular Tawharanui Regional Park (my 3rd visit) and a chance to check if the takahe were around (they were, we saw 2 this time) and just generally move around and enjoy. It wasn't quite t-shirt weather but not really jersey weather either, sort of in between. After finding a few there we headed off to Leigh and then Goat Island carpark and a return has been mooted, and will be happening. A great area to explore, and a few caches to find too - what's not to like? Thanks to all COs.

Out with Team Gold (0B80B8 and Lis crew) to see how many caches we could collect in the Tawharanui Regional park. Pick this one up on our way home, as the parking was a lot safer. Soon located. TFTC
quick grab on the way home. Cache was quickly located, harder to retrieve. Finally got it out. Signed and replaced. TFTC
I am on my way up to Tawharanui Regional Park for a few days. This one was on the way, so I stopped to find the cache. I accidentally got the FTF on this one even though I wasn't really trying to nab the FTF. TFTC.
