Had a bit of time up my sleeve so completed the lab and then went looking for the final. Took some rubbish out - a pen or pencil needed as there was no lead in the broken one there. Many thanks for the lab and bonus.#10948

Thanks for the fun multi, enjoyed it! Although not sure why the locations have to be in order. Bonus was a bit hard to reach but once I found a way through the bushes I made a quick find, tftc!

11-Dec-23
We enjoyed doing the adventure lab and had no trouble finding the cache, thanks! An interesting town to explore.

11-Dec-23
Unfortunately arrived in town at the wrong end for how the adventure lab was set up. So with a bit of back and forth we completed the adventure lab and then a quick find here at the final. tftc Found with angelic_kiwi

21-Nov-23
Enjoyed the ad lab around Murchison. Off to get the bonus. Think it was the last hint item we looked at. Tftc

20-Nov-23
Had fun doing the Ad lab. Took a bit of hunting to find the right tree but got there after looking at lots of others.

28-Sep-23
After grabbing the numbers from the Ad Lab, it was a backtrack to here for the find.I was once a resident, not local, of Murch. So, the first waypoint was interesting seeing parents and relatives of friends here, along with one of my first school teachers. None of my relatives here so hence not a local.

27-May-23
Yay! Found this bonus while whizzing back to StArnaud after biking the Old Ghost Road. Thanks for the Adventure ??????

(# 7581) Day 2 of the West Coast trip primarily to go to the Wild Food Festival in Hokitika. Today we traveled from Nelson to Hokitika and grabbed a few caches on the way. I love these little towns as they have so much history in a small area. Makes it perfect for things like ad labs. Duly completed it, calculated the final coords then on to the final. A quick find. Thanks for bringing me here.

Day 2 of caching adventure to the wildfoods festival. Today is Nelson to Hoki. Travelling with Mr McGoo and Justlooking00. After massive ferry cancellations, we have not been sure this trip was going to happen, so are making the most of it.
Decided to stop and do the AL for a break and a walk. Final was the wrong way from where we were headed but decided to head back for it. Some fun toys in there. Mr McGoo beat me at the water ring game while I got distracted with the disc toy Smile Thanks for a great AL and bonus.

Tftc and greetings from Czechia.

15-Jan-23
Before leaving Murchison, we strolled a bit through the village resolving the Lab cache. Not many Muggles around except at the museum, where a market took place.
Could find the answers to the different stages without any problem. Also the bonus cache was easy to find.
Thank you for the Lab and its bonus,

Did the ad lab earlier today and came back this evening to sign it off. Thanks for the ad lab and the bonus

23-Sep-22
After completing this lab cache over a few trips we finished it last time we came through Murchison. We are going to the Coast for the long weekend and we wanted a mystery cache found today. So it seemed like the perfect day to stop and find this one. Had to be a bit careful where I trod as I approached gz but no worries with finding the cache. I think our grandkids would like to have found it and have a swap session there. Thanks for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley

11-Sep-22
This was a fun little way to stretch the legs. Tftc

29-Mar-22
A quick explore of Murchison and then 9nto the final.
No problems spotting the cache once at GZ.
Thanks for setting this and the adventure series up

27-Mar-22
I wasn't having a good day with finds along SH7 on my return from Chch, so I had to stop to do the AL and the bonus. Great tour of Murchison. I guess we are all pretty guilty of zipping through without stopping to smell the Geocaches.
I narrowed the final down to four possibilities, none of which seemed to have easy approaches. I resorted to visual searching to save wear and tear on my hide. TFTC.

07-Mar-22
Today we are travelling from Blenheim to the West Coast, beginning our 4 week South Island geotour. We stopped along the way to do the Murchison Meander Ad Labs and to find this Bonus cache. We circled the object at GZ to find the best entry point, then one of us headed in and made the find. Thanks for the tiki tour of Murchison.

I've been through Murchison several times since the Adventure Lab was published but seem to have had other priorities each time. Today's priority was a special caching trip to Murchison. I really enjoyed visiting the waypoints. There's always something to learn - - - even at places one has visited before. I was surprised that the sign-posted information centre was not open especially as there were many visitors in town. I thought they could have at least had a note to inform visitors that there is another place to tap into local knowledge.
Thanks for the Ad Lab and for this bonus Smile.

13-Jan-22
After gathering all the required info by completing the associated AdLab cache I was off to locate the bonus cache.

Cheers for the cache.

31-Dec-21
Found on a morning bike ride just before leaving Murchison.
Did the adv lab yesterday

10-Dec-21
We had intended to complete the Adventure Lab last night but time ran out, so we came back this morning to try our luck. Once completed, we did the calculations and found we had to come back to near the start! A quick find in the "wilderness" and off to Greymouth.
+ a large marble, - nothing.

#10170. Day 6 of the South Island road trip around the top of the South Island (Canterbury and Westland) with Infoferret. This trip was planned to replace the Labour weekend Auckland Mega adventure. We have stayed overnight in Murchison and today are heading to Christchurch. The weather has improved in the morning and by time we reached Canterbury it was like a hot summers day. But before we head south we have an adventure lab to do and few local caches.

After gathering the information from the adventure labs, we gathered together the numbers from the codes and worked out where we had to go to get this one. Parked nearby and found a sensible place to access the cache. It was spotted immediately. Signed the logbook and replaced where found. Have dropped off three trackables I have had for too long. Thanks BigglesNZ for hiding it here.

25 October 2021 08:33. After finding food and fuel we headed out here to complete this cache. Wish the AL hadn't needed to be done in order, can't really see what benefit that provided. After 4 stages I was reasonably confident that I knew where we needed to be. GSEL was initially sceptical, but headed in anyway to make the find. TFTC, now for the Lewis pass, Cheviot and Christchurch!

22-Oct-21
Day 1 of a road trip round the South Island, and today it was Nelson to Gore Bay, where our family have hired a bach for the long weekend. So we couldn’t get everything on our trip, so I cherry-picked a list of favourable caches - letterboxes, higher fave points, but more often just those on our side of the road for the direction we are travelling. Plus, a special effort in getting most caches in and around Waiau and on the road to SH1. 17 in all found, and into Gore bay by 3pm to enjoy the rest of the day. TFTC all COs, sorry for the cut and paste, if there is anything specific about this cache it is mentioned below.

We did the Ad Lab last time we came through town. This is the only cache in Murchison we targeted today. Pretty quick and uneventful find. TFTC and ad lab Biggles.

Enjoyable adventure and a quick find of the bonus. TFTC!!

19-Sep-21
Parked the car in front of a dairy to find the wps in town. Had to Fidel at finding the cache as a ice cream had to be purchased and eaten before I could search for the cache.

15-Sep-21
I have been picking these labs off one by one as I've passed through Murchison for quite a while now. Today was finally the day to sign off this bonus. - good spot for it too. TFTC # 17,565

17-Jul-21
Day 15 of three weeks winter motorhoming in the upper half of the South Island. ‘Stranded’ in Murchison today. We’re supposed to be on our way to Motueka but the highways are closed in every direction due to flooding and slips.

Too wet a day to do much caching but managed to pick up three. I completed the Adventure Lab yesterday but it was too miserable then to go after this one. Found it today after a brief search. The first two trees were fruitless, so to speak. Best to go in from the main road side. As a previous logger stated, you can come away from this one rather damp (or close to soaked) when the trees are wet! I did! #4172. TFTC.

18-Jun-21
Nice way to finish the day. A wee bonus find and just as mentioned thx. Lovely wander about this lovely town thx.

17-May-21
The last two visits we found the first two locations as we were first short of time and then had a passenger with us. Today we had time to complete the last 3 locations and also find the bonus. As this trip we had completed a couple of adventure labs but then had blocked roads that stopped us getting the bonuses, we were pleased to find this one. And the non bonus bonus as well. Picked up a trackable.
Thanks.

Got soaked as trees fill of water.

02-May-21
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on the last day of our extended Anzac weekend in Nelson / Golden Bay and we are homeward bound.
We had left the accompanying ad lab for this return journey as we knew we would have more time now. Sat by a fire in the local cafe to have a coffee and work out the final (it was still chilly outside). Read the logs and were a bit worried at the mention of holly and blackberry but the final was quite tame really! I wonder if the nearby house wonders at the numbers of vehicles which show up with the occupants disappearing into the bushes Razz.
That's Murchison cached out (again). Thanks for the enjoyable meander and TFTC.

#20127. With a bit over a week in the greater Nelson area, we've made a pretty good dent in the ad labs (Kaiteriteri was the only we we didn't get to). This was the last of the 28 we completed (contributing 140 to our tally of over 300 for the trip). We finished the ad lab then adjourned to our regular Murchison coffee spot (Two Rivers Cafe) for an excellent coffee, and worked out where the final was. A short backtrack was needed, and we made a quick find once there. TFTC.

Great fun completing the adventure lab. Thanks for letting us explore this cool place

On a west coast adventure and on our way to Nelson for a few days . My first time to travel up the west coast of the south island In 20 years so this time we get to cache our way in to uncharted territory, so let's see what fun adventures awaite us bring it on.
Day three of our road trip from Hokitika to ???
We arrived in Murchison and found some where to stay so now what to do..
So we looked at the sites of Murchison and worked our way around the adventure lab and then picked up this bonus.
We enjoyed our tour and got to pick up a cache or two along the way.

Life is short. Live one foot step at a time.Never say" I'm gonna "- Just do it!!
Thanks for the hide

Enjoyed our walk around the town collecting the relevant information to complete the Adventure Lab and get the co-ords for the final. Once we had everything we set off for GZ with coffee and a milkshake in hand (thanks to the Café we had parked outside of) and then wouldn’t you know it, the cache was found in the last hint item we checked. TFTBC

18-Mar-21
Well that's a ramble in the brambles so to speak..My GPS had me at the other end..soon found thanks

18-Mar-21
We did this Ad Lab on our bikes. I'm glad we did as we did a total of 5kms back and forth. Murchison is reasonably nice friendly so that is a bonus. We then had to contend with holly, blackberry (of course) and totara to find the bonus. My sunglasses are still there somewhere. Thanks for the bonus to the Ad Lab BigglesNZ

14-Mar-21
I enjoyed doing the A.L cache on my way through on Thursday. Today I stopped off to look for the Bonus, while heading back the other way. Took a logical approach to the search and soon found it. TFTC

23-Feb-21
We found the labs just after they were published but the final wasn't available then. On our way home from Christchurch so this was a good chance for a leg stretch. Thanks BigglesNZ

Heading home after walking the St James Walkway...looking for caches and trying not to get too wet in the rain...

After a refuelling stop and a look for the pre-bonus bonus cache a wee way away I was not going to leave town before completing this AdLab which I'd started on the way through town on Friday.

I got to find the cache but only after reminding myself how much fun looking for caches in bushes is after persistent rain.

Thanks for the wee history tour BigglesNZ

The lab was a bit of a rehash of a previous multi from memory, so wasn't that interesting, and I wasn't too impressed with the final. Coords pointed to the far side from where I finally found it, and looking for it involved getting pretty scratched up.

04-Feb-21
Enjoyed the adventure lab cache and quick find at final. Trying out the new caravan heading south. Don't know when I will be back home.

28-Jan-21
Once the rain stopped it was time to go seek 3 caches waiting for me in Murchison.Cool After finding The Bonus That's Not A Bonus I travelled down the road to get this Real Bonus cache that is the Bonus followup to yesterday's meander around Murchison.Razz Thanks for the placement BigglesNZ.

16-Jan-21
Returning to Chch, with a serious time limit - stopped to sort the last WP/ clue then popped out to collect this cache.
Thank you for the interesting wander around these places, BigglesNZ. I keep meaning to stop here for a night & then go up to the 1929 EQ site - one day I'll get around to it....

16-Jan-21
That was an interesting half hour in the town and surrounds, then onto the final. Of course, I did all the sides and through it before I found the right spot. Cheers

13-Jan-21
I had a bit of time today so I took a meander around mighty Murchison and completed the adventure lab and then scored this bonus cache. Thanks BigglesNZ. Good fun and a good sized container. Have a favourite.

10-Jan-21
A nice quick find thanks. Last for the holiday. Back to work tomorrow!

Ms_KR and I are on our annual pilgrimage to Auckland for our family Christmas. And today is the last day of our holiday, 30 days, 4600km and 801 caches. AWESOME!! Please excuse the generic logs, there have been a few finds and they get muddled up sometimes.

Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

05-Jan-21
Nice lab , nice bonus TFTC

23-Dec-20
We enjoyed stretching our legs and completing the adventure cache.

23-Dec-20
We both enjoyed the Meander. The rain held off as we completed the Adventure. It was afternoon tea time by the time we reached the final.
I got to the container, wet from raindrops on leaves. Sadly I couldn't find my pen. There was a broken pencil, that I broke more to extract the led. Thanks for the adventure
Thanks BigglesNZ for creating this hide. It was find 9396 for me.

======== NZ Mega 2021 ========
Planning for the NZ Mega 2021 event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, October 2021

21-Dec-20
On our way to the Coast for Xmas we naturally stopped for this AdLab on the way. We had no problems at any of the waypoints and arrived here to begin a search.
Unfortunately it had been raining so it wasn't ideal conditions to be searching in but search I did while out of sight of Hazedarus who had been accosted by someone going for their daily walk and was getting a commentary on local attractions etc, some of which we had just visited as part of this adventure.
Soon enough the log book was signed and we continued on our way.
Thank you BigglesNZ.

21-Dec-20
This cache and the associated LabCache of course were tagged for while we stretched our legs on our annual pilgrimage to the Coast to celebrate with family. Not once but twice we were sent back the way we came but Murchison isn't that big.... After assembling the coords for this cache I was bailed up by a local who questioned my presence but accepted the excuse of stretching the legs on a lengthy trip. While I was informed of the different attractions Murchison has to offer Holymy did the heavy lifting. It's great to see the locals being proud of where they live and happy to share that with strangers. Thank you BigglesNZ

We drove home from Invercargill today. Bit of a long drive but that didn’t stop us from making the opportunity to get an {ftf}.
We drove through town to visit the cemetery and then back into town to solve the other four AdLabs. Armed with the numbers it wasn’t quite as straightforward as I would have liked.
The road painters and cone elves were very busy at the northern end of town. We drove through the stop/go three times as well as walking through the middle of it once!
Nice to find a blank log book.
