Was off on a solo caching raid from Runanga to Lake Brunner. Its been awhile since I last found a letterbox. Nice container arrangement.[^] TFTC gracie7 and Mum.
Mr Dragon loves trains and old railway buildings, so he was a very happy boy! Oh and thank you for the earworm - Ill be singing it all day now, along with Remember remember the 5th of November, gunpowder treason and plot but thats an English thing!! X
On a roadie of the south island up from Invercargill. On the home stretch southward now..West coast caching! A right or wrong way to get there, took the wrong track to GZ. nice big bucket tft letterbox
Today's caching road trip is from Stillwater to Moana. It is such a wee station with a big goods shed.Cheers for the cache, Gracie7 + Mum.
The name intrigued us as we were heading to Lake Brunner and it was also a letterbox so we stopped. Loved the cache so it gets a favourite from us. Lovely sunny day for our first visit to this area.Thanks.
Quick and easy find, went down to have a look at the old Ruru building and Alan, a man who has lived at Ruru for years and used to work at the old mill was there with his grandson. He told us lots of stories about all the happenings there over the years and was a very interesting man to run into, with a lot of knowledge! Thanks for bringing us down here, TFTC!
I found this with Alijoy when we were staying in this area in our camper van . The bucket has wandered a bit it sounds like, I’m pretty sure when we found it it was in the coordinates destination spot well hidden behind the big tussocks?Great inner container made us laugh and so appropriate for the area. Thank you for the cache.
We have been staying with a friend nearby for a few days, and introduced her to geocaching. A quick find here as the container was in full view as we arrived. It was lying in a puddle of rusty water and we almost mistook it for rubbish. The container was wet inside but the log was dry. Signed and replaced in a dry spot just inside the doorway, hope that’s ok? TFTC gracie7 + Mum.
Pengi lives a letterbox and for find #9000 what a special one. Plus we were first to stamp as well. Whoo whoo.
Hallo, auf einem Road-Trip über die Südinsel Neuseelands auch diesen Cache gut gefunden.

When Albi mentioned about his work commitments at Fox Glacier, as always we decided to make a trip out of it, but this time its a long over due overnight one. Spending quality time together, enjoying the drive, picking up some caches, small walks, and also cherry on top, a Heli ride woo-hoo.
Cache is all good here. TFTC.

We saw these sheds on the way in and wanted to explore so this was a great chance. Thanks for bringing us here Gracie7 +mum
Spotted quickly ..al quite here today cache is in good condition thanks Gracie7 & Mum..grand old relicnoted TB
Our last one today, we will clean up the last few before heading home tomorrow. The long grass and weeds etc made a good hiding place for container. Luckily our grandson wasn't with us as he would have wanted to take it home. tftc

I remember the old Moneydork cache here from years ago, nice to see a decent size cache to find, cheers!
A cool old building and a cool cache. It took me a while to find.
This is JDScouts final long summer holiday in the camper. We're on a tour of the West Coast and geocaching is one of the things on our agenda.
Thanks for hiding this cache gracie7 + Mum I appreciate it.

After spending the night in Kumara, it was time to set off on the next part of my journey. Today's objective was ultimately GC30AD8 - but I did find a few other caches long the way. The cache is well hidden for its size. Ground must be permanently soggy here. TFTLBC, Biggles.
What a great way to start our trip home. We had spent the night at Te Kinga and GK had done a bit of fishing and I had watched the paddleboarders and jet skiers and boaties enjoying the lake.
I was particularly impressed when I realised this is a letterbox cache as we only need one more to move up a category in our project-gc stats for letterbox caches, so with this one we move from emerald to diamond. We often target them on our travels if we spot them as they are a fairly rare type of cache to find in NZ. Seem to be plenty in other countries but not so many here.
We have driven past this station many times but had never taken the time to stop in and have a look. It was all a bit boggy and wet after the recent rain, but we were equipped with gumboots so a bit of bog did not deter us.
Thanks for placing this great sized letterbox cache and thank you for the smiley, it gets a favourite from us

#20397. Troodles dropped me off and then went and turned the car round. by the time she got back I was still looking dubiously at the boggy ground between me and the building. She had more suitable footwear, and got stuck in and quickly found the cache. Interesting building. TFTC.
I dropped StreetWalkerNZ off by GZ and carried on down the road a little more to find a suitable spot to turn around. I had expected him to be holding a cache by the time I returned, but he was still wandering around in circles - as he didn't want to get wet feet.
I took one for the team and carefully made my way through the lake. It wasn't that bad, and was able to keep my feet dry by careful placement! A lovely big container and a couple of cool old buildings. Left a TB. TFTC.

Cool location, and teh search almost turned into a swim! Grateful for my gumboots today... TFTC!!
On a road trip around the West Coast, got some great photos here. - Thanks Bitsprayer
Looks like development has made it here too. Walked down a new gravel track to the building. The coal train came past while here.
Our first one this trip. After a bit of paddling around we found the correct track and then it was so big we went right past it. TFTC
The blackberries are ripe so we had a small handful. Great inside decoration of the container. All nice and dry.
An interesting spot. That’s one solid looking building. Lots of blackberries about. TFTC
Lid was firm, blackberries too. Maybe next week for the latter but success with the former. Tftc
A nice quick find thanks. The blackberrries are not quite ready!
Ms_KR and I went for a wee holiday on the West Coast, chasing some of new PWGT over there, and any others we need to find. Day 3 and off home today.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

We were travelling from Christchurch to Hokitika via the scenic route. This is such a gorgeous cache container that made us really smile. A fav from us for bringing us here and the experience. Thanks gracie7 + Mum (please delete photo if not allowed).
Found about 1 week ago. late log due to being on holiday and limited technology.. (made for a fantastic holiday!). First letter box cache, and hope I did it correctly. Loved the cache. Took a trackable.
We were further north when these new caches were published and returning to the Coast today we decided to take the scenic route and look for these.
We've been to this spot before in the search for a cache so pleased to see another one here.
Another heavy shower as Hazedarus grabbed the container so back to the car to sign the log then sat in the car until the rain eased enough to be able to see out the windows at least! It was really just a typical West Coast shower after all
Dropped TB.
Thank you gracie7 + Mum.

Some new puzzles kept us occupied for a bit while away. We chose the alternative route to get home today and see if we could find the caches. Size and hint were very helpful and while taking shelter from the rain in the car we completed the formalities. Dropped TB. Thank you gracie7 + Mum
I'm in Greymouth for a couple of nights, so hired a car to get out and about a bit. Planned to head Moana to work on the adventure lab out there and noticed a few unfound caches in the area, so thought I'd check them out. Arrived at GZ and soon found this cool cache, signed the blank log for the {FTF}! Just as I sat in the car, the Transport Alpine whizzed past. TFTC... fav point added!
