Day 2 of our 4 day anniversary road trip to Maryborough and out West. Lots of adventure to be had with my love SCAHPA. Log signed as CS & SC to save time and room - Trademark skeleton animals sticker left in cache - TFTC, effort time and maintenance
We are taking advantage of the long weekend and quiet roads to do some caching around Biggenden area I had KabbellaQld and Danielle46 with me ,we signed as KTD .We enjoyed the country run of caches TftcThis was the last one for the day and turned out to be one of the hardest to find we about to give up as a not found when Danielle 46 called out found it, we had a good day all around .
It may be named Rockin Keith but it was definitely mocking (mockin?) us as we searched. Being our last cache of the day after a successful run, we were keen not to walk away with a DNF. It was close though. Persisted until Danielle46 triumphantly found the prize. Great effort. Cache is trickier than it initially appears, especially if you are in short sleeves as the grass is scratchy and unpleasant to dig through. Be warned that we gained ticks at this site - suspect that the cattle have been scratching themselves on the rocks and the ticks have hidden in the grass between the rocks. So check yourself well after digging here. Signed KTD (KabbellaQld, ToucanKB and Danielle46). Tftc.
Today we targeted this area to find caches for our souvenir. What a great area to visit, rolling countryside and open spaces. Being no fences along the road the cows were out in force enjoying the green grass. We met up with a farmer and he was burning off the paddocks in the area to encourage the new green grass to grow, lots of smoke in the area.A quick find here cordinated were spot on.Cache and contents in good condition. Many thanks for your cache placement here.
Another weekend in Biggenden. Now to head south and home. A quick stop here just after sunrise with a lot of fog around before continuing along the side road for a few caches. Found after a few laps for me today in the wet grass. Thanks for the cache.
Despite a long day (and over 125 finds) yesterday, it was another early start this morning for Seffnjarah and I. We have completed a loop to the north this morning through Hervey Bay, returned through Maryborough for some lunch, then cleaned up the remainder of the JBF series before heading west towards Mt Walsh.
It has been stinking hot today so a swim at Utopia was high on the agenda. After cooling off there, the evening plan was to drive some remote back roads collecting selected caches, including this one focusing mostly on unloved caches.
This was the end of the road today. Whilst I turned the car around, Seff started the hunt. He had not made the find by the time I returned. It was dark enough now that I grabbed my torch before joining the hunt. Much easier to find with a torch apparently. Many thanks youngoldfella

When other family arrangement for the Easter break fell through, I was lucky to score a ride with Crookedpete for an extended weekend geocaching road trip from Brisbane to around Maryborough, Hervey Bay, Mt Walsh and surrounding areas.
After a stop in Hervey Bay this morning to collect some caches there, we returned to Maryborough to finish the last stretch of power trail caches that we didn't get done before the sun went down last night (bit hard to see tree fishing caches at night!). With that mission completed we were now heading towards Mt Walsh where we were planning to spend the night close by, before heading off for a walk to the summit tomorrow morning.
We still had some time to kill so decided on a trip to the Utopia Rock Pools for Crookedpete to have a swim and cool off. Once that was done there was still just enough daylight left to head out and target a stretch of unloved caches we had spotted, including this one.
This one put up a fight for quite some time. While Crookedpete drove on to find a place to turn around, I jumped out to start the hunt. I had checked most places by the time Crookedpete joined me in the search. It was now quite dark and I only had the light of my phone to guide me. Crookedpete was far more prepared and was sporting his head torch. After checking a few of my previously searched spots, his torch zeroed in on anther spot I had already checked and came up with the find.
Cache found and the logbook was stamped with The Bromance team stamp (a slight liberty, with only 2 of the usual 4 members present on this trip, but we are hoping to avoid RSI with the number of caches planned on our itinerary ).

Logging old caches originally found with alphag_25. Now have my own account and logging them separately so that i can claim the finds or not as the case may be. TFTC.
01/01/2022 Attended the event hosted by Sweet-Sour today and was good to meet up with fellow cachers. After the event headed out to cleanup some caches around north Kilkivan. Signed the logsheet and returned cache to its hiding hole. Thanks for making this cache for my enjoyment. TFTC SL

Drove from Beaudesert to Hervey Bay and back in a day for one of my daughters awards presentation. 820 kilometers broken up by caching and meals. Really appreciate the CO's placing all these caches, and I certainly appreciated the air conditioning more on a hot 35 degree.
All the logs are in good condition unless specified otherwise, and they were all found with ease unless specified otherwise.
Cache logs are either stamped, signed with Rogersclan13 or just RC13 for space. Thanks for the cache and thank you for breaking the drive up **youngoldfella**

Today's long drive back to work I decided to take the inland way which means a big detour but many caches on the way, less roadworks and trucks.
The cache could be located easily and is in good condition.
Thanks.,

Out for a country drive towards Biggenden and then back to Kilkivan along Booubyjan Rd. Great location and it was very quiet as I ambled along finding the caches. Good coords always help and nice size containers too.
No problems finding the caches and once the logs were signed all were returned as found.
If a cache needed attention that was done too.
Thanks to the CO's for placing a great series in this area.

With the weather clearing it's time to hit the frog & toad again.
We thought Maryborough might be nice for a change but we couldn't help detouring via the backroads north of Kilkivan which still have so many caches on offer.
#42 of 55 smilies rounded up today.
Missed this one on the first round, a little cache blindness perhaps? [?]
Quick find on the second loop.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

We are now camped at the Kilkiven Rest area. A big weekend in town with the annual horse ride event on. A street parade of all sorts of horses & riders was part of our couple of days here.
We spent many klms driving the country roads, the farmers have to be happy with the acres of green grass in the paddocks.
We found a good variety of caches in a variety of locations.
Thankyou youngoldfella for placing this cache.

Found this and many others in the area while on a drive from Biggenden. The day was raining off and on but I managed to find all the caches I didtn't get to from the south on previous trips. TFTC.
Out for another drive around these lovely country roads picking up some caches. Beautiful day here. Cache found, log signed and returned as found. Thanks youngoldfella for placing these caches.
Hi there youngoldfella.
We found your cache **"Rockin Keith"** today. (This makes our find count 25643).
Back to start some more cache trails from Kilkivan. Today's plan was to head north up Running Creek Road and then continue on to Brooweena - Woolooga Road
It was a really nice drive today, made even better by not having to wade through long grass to find the caches. Our tally today was 44 caches & 0 DNF's.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache within a few metres of where our GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Either a smiley badge or a gold coin
Thank you for adding to our adventure.
Regards
Ian & Penny

Day 2 of the New Year event at Kilkivan. Having a wonderful time meeting new cachers as well as catching up with some old faces.
After gathering heaps of caches this morning, it was time to pack up at camp as I needed to head towards home.
TripleTurmoil and CHAMAD decided to join me on the journey up north to find some more new and older caches. We had a super fun afternoon racing around finding these caches, and very much appreciate the CO efforts with these.
This was a quick find, log signed, cache replaced as found.
Thanks YOF for the cache.

After a tumultuous morning of caching it was decided to go out with just three of us this time and cache some of the new caches and grab some older ones as we passed. So now it was just Willis007, 4hawkers and myself. I really thought we could not have any more laughs but the day just continued and I had a stitch from laughing so much.
The caches on this trip were varied, a variety of sizes and hides but all were in good condition. The countryside around here is amazing and just beautiful, thank you for bringing us around here.
Thank you to all the CO’s for placing caches around this area, I really enjoyed the drive around here and finding your caches. Sorry for the generic log but we found approximately 70 caches this afternoon.
This was a nice set of caches down this road.

Dianne (doscrapbooking), my daughter and I decided to cache together today, starting off on Tansey Rd, then north to Booubyjan, northeast to Teebar and finally south back to Kilkivan.
Unfortunately we didn't find any first to finds, they had all gone by the time we arrived at all cachers.
All finds were in good condition and were replaced as found.

Out with Semik and Oddiewan beautiful day for caching. We are enjoying finding this cache and checking out the country scenery. Thanks
Out on a mission with Willis007 and Chamad. I thought the morning adventures were fun, but this trip really added to it. So many laughs. So many issues (rarely with the caches - they were the easy parts!). A huge afternoon that turned into and even bigger night. *FTF*
We are attending the nearby events in Kilkivan. Went out today for some more smilies .

Caching with my main squeeze, Oddiewan and our new little geopup. We have Liz and Bruce in the geomobile with us today. Oddiewan has his eyes on a new milestone so it’s a long day of caching ahead. A really neat spot caching has brought us to.
Thanks for the fun, youngoldfella

In the Kilkivan area for a couple of days caching around.
Today I have hatzofff, Snickersallan and E_Smiley in the geovehicle.
Now the views HERE were really quite nice: the countryside is so green after the recent rain. Job done: back to the main highway again.
Log signed and cache replaced as found on January 1, 2021. TFTC, youngoldfella

Visiting Kilkivan for a few days and enjoying finding all the newly released caches with hatzofff, E_Smiley and RoddyC.
All hides had great containers and were relatively easy to find.
Appreciate all the work of the various cache owners who placed the hides to coinside with todays Event. (My apologies for the generic logs)
