Found it! In good condition and was easy to find. Forgot to bring a pen so I have photo logged it.
In the area today as we thought these caches looked a little lonely, and we had a carer for junior cacher .....it was time we got into some sunshine as we had been renovating a bedroom, taking up any spare hours....Left home at 8am (the wrong time as schools had just gone back after the anniversary weekend, and we hit traffic extending the trip to the park by half an hour.Arriving at GZ a quick chat with the local farmer for hints on the best route to take, and into cache finding.... then headed out on the adventure. The cache is in good health, luckily for water proof paper....TFTC.
This was the first of the trail that I was hoping to clear today. A quick find right where I thought it would be. The weather is beautiful looking forward to it first day of my Christmas holidays. Thanks.
Just getting used to the app update. Scramble around here, second post checked
Today was the day I decided I HAD to finish off the challenge caches put out by tramyard. One involves finding caches with the horse attribute and the other involves the attribute no park and grab. I left home at 11:15am from Te Atatu Sth and got home about 9pm, but managed to finish of both challenges all at once. It meant a trip all the way up this south head peninsula, then over to Wenderholm, then down to Albany then back down to the airport to sign off on the challenges. Bought myself a bottle of vodka along the way and had a well deserved drink when I arrived home!
I decided to make the short walk to this cache just to get a 'horse' attribute cache. But my back suffered as usual, when it does that my legs don't want to walk. I have come to realise there's no way I'll be walking this trail, it'll be done on my e-bike or not at all. Sad really, a combination of old age, obesity, muscle atrophy, high blood pressure and diabetes all probably has a part. Time to try out some back exercises to see if that helps.
Thanks guys for placing these caches, much appreciated your efforts, a FP from me all the same.

Big cows that the kids weren't to keen to be around but found it on the third try
Out enjoying a mid-winter walk in Te Rau Puriri Regional Park. We arrived late morning and spent most of the rest of the day wandering around the tracks and finding plenty of caches. It was a bit wet underfoot but the weather was mild and we enjoyed the views as we walked an anti-clockwise circuit.
Last cache of the day, and a quick find too. Just as well as we have been in the park for hours, and are starting to feel a little tired. Time to head back to the car. TFTC.

Found it safe and dry.
The sheep had made quite a mess around the cach.
Thanks _Pex_.

Wandered past the tame cows, watching i didnt step in their huge cowpats - some very fresh! Nice quick find here. TFTC
Out with team Gold today (0B80B8 and LisCrew) collecting a few caches in the area. Nice quick find as we walk the park clockwise. TFTC
Today I was on a mission as part of Team G0LD to Te Rau Puriri Regional Park on South Kaipara Head, to hopefully clear all the caches there and as many more as possible on the peninsula.
The Garmin watch showed a distance of 7.50 kms to complete the park in just under 3 hours with 250 metres elevation gain, so a nice exercise jaunt for the day, even if if was a tad warm and humid ahead of the approaching storm.
Second one near the start of our walk today and a nice quick find where expected. Just be careful of the electric fence if you are bending over. TFTC

Team G0LD (Geocachers: 0B80B8, Lis's crew and DaffyNZ) were on a mission today. The primary target was the cache rich Te Rau Puriri Regional Park at South Head. We were aiming to get our final mountain souvenir all done and dusted as well as filling an entire area on our maps with yellow smiles.
We couldn't resist a few quick grabs on the roadside on the way to and from the park to add to the tally. This cache was our second one as we headed off clockwise around the park. Another quick find.
Overall it was a very hot day with temps 28-30°C. We only copped a few brief spats of rain and I found 49 caches. My souvenir well and truly achieved. Certainly a pretty lot of smiles too. Thanks for this hide

Our primary reason for the trip here today was to attempt all the caches in the park. Mrs NZT stayed home to look after Geo Dog (poor little bugga had had a rough night) and Keylev and myself set off to find all these.
Down the gully from the first cache to "the fence" and a quick find.

NZ Travellers and I had a plan to cache and walk today. Unfortunately their geo-dog was unwell so Mrs NZT had to stay home to care for him so it ended up being just Mr NZT and myself. Had a great day out, ended on a nice round number of 40 (50 would have been better but I had to collect our minis from their camp).
Wandered down from the gate and over to the fence for a quick find.
Thanks for the cache.

I am out and about this afternoon, taking advantage of the excellent weather, to take a hike around Te Rau Puriri Regional Park. After making a find back at the car park it is time to start the hike proper. Well, that was quick, already heading off trail to find a hide; Is this really T1.5? It is some distance from the trail proper (which is really just mowed grass). Anyway, once at GZ it didn't take long to track down this little fella. Cheers for the cache placement!
This was the first find in Te Rau Puriri Regional Park today. Tramyard and I walked the loop clockwise and managed to find every single cache in the park! This was a straightforward find as per the title and hint. TFTC!
With the announcement that Level 3 could include exercise away from our house (and naturally the area around our house is either cleaned out or carpeted in my own caches) we decided a fun activity would be geocaching and this was confirmed when the reviewers said that caching was A-OK.
Possibly one of the hardest caches of the day but only because a very protective magpie was dive-bombing me - presumably to protect a nearby nest - as I approached GZ. But I avoided harm and signed in and high-tailed it out of there while the magpie glared at me from a nearby tree.
Thanks for the cache - all good here.

The twin lambs were bouncing around, the ewes bleating and the grass growing... very pastoral! Quick find despite avoiding the manure piles. T4tc
Our first find on our walk around the park today.Had a good idea what to look for and didn’t take us long to find.
We had a lot of fun exploring this regional park on a stunning Winters day. Thanks to all the CO’s for placing and maintaining these caches.
A quick find here, while being watched closely by a squawking magpie in the tree above gz.

I had the day off work today, so I decided to get out for a walk in Te Rau Puriri Regional Park... an area that I've never visited before! I was greeted with nice views as soon as I parked the car and, being a weekday, I had the park to myself for the afternoon. It was a lovely walk down to the harbour and back, I found all of the current caches here without any difficulty and really enjoyed my visit! Thanks for setting up all these caches!
What a great place to go geocaching. It is so good to be able to bring the geohound with us, and he was so, so excited at being able to tie all of us up with his lead.
A nice walk up to this one, and as we looked along the fence for it Daddypig's Assistant pointed it out with her foot.
Logged as HP family.

Grabbed this one on the way back to the carpark since there were a handful of lingering muggles near the start of the trail when I began my walk around the park, TFTC
Off the main trail a smidge, but nice and easy at GZ, thanks
Time to hit the trail and looking forward to the caches from the placers here; Tramouflage galore and Pax of bisons roaming the plains.
Another weekend day and I have a plan to go and find some caches out at Te Rau Puriri Regional Park up the top of South Head (North of South Head then!). I originally put down a couple of new ones in this empty (of caches, at the time) park and Tramyard and Pax duly obliged to fill in some of the walking tracks with caches, which also had good views and interesting things to see. I was fairly early off from home and arrived at the trail start at 0900, arrived back at 1145-ish so under 3 hours for the loop, including finds. I'm pretty sure there's room for some more up there as the Red route has scope, as does the pale blue one. The weather was a little blustery and a bit cooler than recent but still a good day 5o be out there doing it.

Out and about enjoying Puriri with the mexikiwi and evilno9. Glad we did so, as the next day we went into level 3 lockdown. We enjoyed the round collecting all geocaches on the way, with a short lunch break on the beach. No issues with any find. TFTC
The heat was searing hot by the time we got here so we just took a stroll to this one and decided to revisit in a cooler climate. Nice quick find here thanks.
Pazza asked me if I wanted to go on a road trip with them so I jumped at the chance. It's a scorching hot day and with very little shade on offer we decided to come back in winter to do the caches in this lovely park and just do the couple that are close to the car park. No problems finding this one as we spied it on approach
I had some really nice weather today to hike the big loop around the park. I've never been to this regional park before and enjoyed it tremendously today.
I chose to go clockwise around the park so this was my first stop. You don't expect us to go counterclockwise which would mean a long walk before the first cache. TFTC.

We diverted from the track to find this one and quickly spotted it.
Lots of bees around today so we had to be careful where we stepped.

Headed down the hill and across to the fence line to grab this one. All in good order and a great place to come for an early morning walk. TFTC
