After a previous unsuccessful attempt, we tried again and realised we'd been looking in the wrong spot Cool location. There was a plane taking off overhead as we found the cache.
Had a look around, couldn't find this cache. Not sure if it's missing or we just struggled today.
After finding #16 we drove the short distance to GZ where another quick find was made.Things were a little damp in the container but a quick stop and grab was made right under the flight path of a plane that landed while I was here. Thanks au.fait.
Thanks to the owner or owners of the cache! The organization on this one was great. There is a log in a zipbag inside of the cache and a pen for people who didn't bring one.
Nice easy find and lucky enough to have a plane fly in for landing just as I arrived to search. TFTC
A nice quick park and grab with a bonus 10cent bottle collected to cash in later. TFTC
Marshalls Geelong found this cache today,Quick find after driving home from work. I dont usually like drive bys but this one was nice and easy and no mucking around at GZ. Cache is in order. TFTC!
Today we headed out from Bunjils Lookout for an afternoon of caching. We had a lovely time exploring through the Brisbane Ranges.Lots of caches found and a couple of dnfs.Nice picnic lunch and perfect day for caching.Quick find and sign here whilst dodging the traffic grabbed the TB TFTC
As I was walking to find the hide a plane took off and a different plain landed the runway was obviously a great choice to get paved for the local community and beyond thank you so much for the placement
Youll never guess when we found it there was an owl next to it, dont be fooled by the rabbit trap next to it
Go team Autumn
I'm sure we've done these before but.
Long grass, ants in the tree and a huge spiders Web. Found it with some stomp.

On a round trip down to Steiglitz and back and stopped here on the way past. Parked just down the road and took the walk back to GZ where the cache was soon spotted. Log signed and it was back on the road.
Thanks for another one au.fait.

Unfortunately the tall grass was a barrier to getting the cache. Snake season doesn’t help with the braveness factor to walk through it. Very interesting spot and wow 500acres each what a good thing to do for the returned soldiers of WW2
Found when out with family and daughter’s boyfriend. It’s his first time geocaching so this is his first ever find. Thanks for the cache
We were out for a picnic with my girlfriends family and decided to go geocaching, this was my first time and this was the furst one that I found very enjoyable. Thanks!!
Found with PapaGrouch. Unlike the name of the cache this wasn't a short find. Made our way through the long grass then spent ages going around looking everywhere for the cache. Found what looked like a good spot but couldn't see anything. More parting grass and feeling around. Looked again and finally spotted it in a place that had already been checked twice. The long grass was very good camo for the hide. TFTC
Hooray! I had only a few minutes to duck out of a family visit in Bannockburn to look for the cache this arvo. A couple of minutes of feeling my way around the usual suspects and the cache was in hand. SL TN LN TFTC. 2 light planes took off and flew overhead while I was at GZ.
This was the first of this little trio of caches while on the way up to the 'Rat today. It took a bit longer than it probably should have but I finally found it exactly where 2upoj was saying it should be at 14:30.
TNLNSL, although a few of our geocoins had a visit to mark our **5500th** traditional find. Thanks au.fait.

Just along the road a bit and another quick one e route to Geelong. A perfect caching day and good hide tftc
Accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks au.fait for the cache. Alas, no aircraft movements were observed during our visit.
Headed down south for a caching & camping weekend, including some events, solved puzzles and a cito.
We discussed the naming convention of runways on the way to this one.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, au.fait

Today we farewell our temporary home at Bunjil Lookout and set off for the events in Ballarat, stopping in for a cache or two before and afterwards.
I was surprised that there was an airport out here and we stopped to grab this cache at the end of the runway. The naming convention for runways was a topic of discussion and some additional learning was made along the way. I dropped off the last of the travel bugs that I had recently rescued.
Thanks au.fait for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

I headed down to Geelong early yesterday for the 2 events that were on in the area and after staying at Bunjil’s lookout at Maude last night it was then off to the 2 events near Ballarat today.
I left nice and early as I planned on finding a few caches before needing to be in Smythesdale by 9.30am for the first event.
I have not been along here before so it is nice travelling on roads and in areas that are new to me.
I read the cache name and thought what does that mean but after reading the description it all made sense.
No planes over head this morning but it looks like a lot of work has been down at the airfield.
Crossed the road and soon added my name to the log.
Thanks au.fait TFTC.

Quick find today as I headed to Geelong for a day of caching with Posums. Just one or two before I met him... ha ha. Thanks for the cache.
Found @ 2:10pm on my return from picking up a door for my shed in Geelong, TNLN, Thsnks for placing this cache here
I could not find it because the grass was to long and there were crickets flying everywhere
On my way to Ballarat for work and decided to collect a few smiley faces on the way through. Arrived at GZ in the pouring rain ( glad I have a spare set of clothes). Cache was in good condition and placed back ready for it's next finder .
Lots of dry long grass but the cache spotted in a logical spot.
All good.
Off now to some Geelong events.

Love a bit of plane spotting! Who doesn’t! I was early for work so thought these two would be a good stop on my way! Reasonably quick find, which worked for me, At this spot I DID see a fly over! How lucky for me! And I did also manage to lose my glasses on the journey somewhere lol not sure where oh well, lucky I had a spare pair! Great cache and spot TFTC and the excitement to my morning
Have done a lot of caches in this spot over the years, never however been down that driveway. Maybe someday.
Quick and easy find.
Nice view of this runway.
A plane had just landed.
TFTC
Noted the very grand plaque re the Moranghurk Soldier Settlement as we drove away from the site… history everywhere here.

Nice spot and yes I got buzzed by a plane too! Cache in very good condotion. Thank you.
Well we are finally on our way on our trip around Victoria. We were supposed to start on the 1st July, but business commitments and only picking up A’Tuin the Geomobile last weekend and having to insulate and build a bed into A’Tuin meant we only left home base today. We had been building A’Tuin out all day and headed towards Avoca when we noted we didn’t have a cache for the day so we looked for a nice easy trad that was on our way and this one fitted the bill perfectly. We pulled up A’Tuin and crossed the highway and quickly found the cache. The cache was in excellent condition and we grabbed the track able to add more kilometres to its travels. Thank you for this cache au.fait.
We are on our way to Ballarat to get our 2nd Pfizer jab because we couldn't get an appointment in our home town Geelong. Thought we would grab a couple of cache's on the way Dropped a trackable we picked up in Echuca as well. TFTC
A speedy grab here and even though no-one was taking off, we did see a plane overhead. TFTC
Returning from shopping at the farmgate in Elaine, we stopped here to see the runway, find the cache and place a geo-token that wants to fly away.
Thanks for these glimpses into your world of wings, au.fait!

Accurate coordinates made this cache a quick find . All's good at gz . Thanks au.fait
Sorry for the late log and a generic log. A combination of some heath issues making me not able to look at the computer for any length of time and a mishap with my phone that has caused me to lose my list of saved caches.
Found on a trip out with AusFox; and Neville_devil.
It was also AusFox's Birthday
Thank you for the hide

I ventured up to Ballarat on this special day with SimsFamily and Neville to attend an Event and CITO and grab a few caches nearby.
We decided to search for these in the way home.
A quick find was made.
Log signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the Traditional Cache Au.Fait

After a great day attending three Events, gaining another couple of souvenirs (finally cracking 200) winning a new cache container, and logging my first location less cache we were heading back to Geelong and these two caches were mentioned so why not stop and grab.
The cache name was mentioned and as I was with the CO I said what did the name mean as to a person who knows nothing about airports except you can board a plane and head off to another city.
As it turns out there is a lot to learn about airports and the runways that most folk know nothing about. I was going to wait until the cache page was updated but decided that I would log these two to gain maybe another mini milestone by finding 25 or more caches in a day.
Thanks au.fait for placing these two caches along a long boring slow road to Ballarat.
A quick find by Chunk this time, as yet another plane flew overhead. TFTC au.fait.
Found today on our way to Ballarat, we drove past and had to fins somewhere to turn around and come back. The cache was not where I first thought it was, never assume I learn yet again! As I signed the log a truck drove ny and showered me with water from a puddle on the side of the road, lucky it was a light shower! Many thanks for the cache.
Heading up to Ballarat today we were able to pull over and pick up this new cache. As we were about to leave we had the privilege of seeing an aeroplane fly over our heads and land on the strip right before our eyes. A great sight.
Thanks au.fait for the placement in such an appropriate position.

Out for a days adventure, and this was a lovely new cache to start the day. It's nice doing a new cache, there are wonderful swaps and the log book is new and crisp!! Tftc.
In the area with Rebel Acts to put some smiles on the map, I haven't been around here in many years.
Found after a short search, cheers for the cache and the opportunity for some caching fun.

366 - a rather significant number - the final day of 2020 - a year which we will remember for ever! Just time left to collect a few more caching tokens and put a broader smile on our map, before 2021.
Thanks au.fait for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

Find No. 3171. Found with FUF009 at 5.58pm
A days trip to Torquay to take Geodog Penny to the beach and of course to do some caching along the way. FUF009 also came with us.
Making our way into Torquay, first up we planned to do 'The Time Lords' series, then it was onto 'DotW Challenge Series'. We found a couple of other caches along the way then it was into Torquay to the footy ground where we had lunch - wonder why? Finally, after lunch, Penny then got her turn which is what we originally came for. We found the Doggy beach and Penny enjoyed roaming around on the sand and paddling in the water. For a December day it was rather freezing. With caches found and beach fun completed we had a look around Torquay before heading back home, finding a few more caches along the way.
An enjoyable day had by all.
Seen this one on the way down but decided to do it on the way home. Now heading home we stopped off to find the cache. FUF009 was looking elsewhere as his GPS was playing up. It was Mrs Tyred n Cranky who located the hide with a very familar container for a cache.

Found with Tyred n Cranky.
We had a day out and headed for Torquay, along the way we had decided to find a couple of caches or two
"The Time Lords" trail and the "DotW Challenge Series" were on the list and a couple others in between
we managed a couple of finds in Torquay and on the way home we managed a couple more to
add to our list.
We noticed this one on the map when we passed by this morning but decided to leave it till the the return trip.
At GZ the powelines seemed to play up with my GPSr but it was Mrs Tyred n Cranky that made the discovery.
