Still chasing caches with certain attributes on specific dates, this was today's target. Parked close by and set off down the path. Getting close and surveyed the best direction. After getting past the long grass we were soon at GZ for a quick find. Log signed and all replaced. TFTC
After solving some of the puzzles in this series we thought we might head out and find a few today. We arrived near GZ and found a path into the search area. It only required a quick look around before the container was spotted.TFTC
When we parked our bikes up next to this one we were confronted by a wall of overgrown green. Cautiously we bashed our way through hoping for a clearing when we got to within a few metres. Thankfully we spotted the cache easily and were able to access it quickly
Having spent a few weeks solving the puzzle it was time to go out searching. I was joined by snigglypop and Legend. Quick find after walk through the tall grass.
Out with ILTW and legend today to have a bash of the drum. This one was a bit scary walking through the tall grass. Having a blast though! - TFTC.
A quick solve at home and a quick find at GZ. Gotta love that! On our way home from visiting family in Brisbane we made a short diversion to collect this cache. It completes two loops for me - a puzzle and a micro. Winning today
Some of these drum puzzles are quite tricky so a jigsaw is a bonus for me. Today I was out and about on my bike. I hadn't been riding for long when I came upon this cache. I waded through the grass which was way above my head and arrived at the base of the tree ready to climb. It was almost disappointing to find the cache at such a low level. All good with the cache, though. Thanks Willis007!
Willis007 I found your cache Drum Beat #49 on 27/2/2024, 4:50pm. This is my find 6421 and find # 9 today. Short bush bash through some long grass. Bring a machete with you. There is a geotrail. I didnt drop the lid, I dropped the whole cache, luckily I found it in the long grass. Signed and returned. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
We have already solved part of this series.Today on our tour we were able to find a few caches. Thanks for the great seriesWe'll be back Team sissifalke
Extremely high weeds to get through to get to the cache. Left Sirius geodog on the side of the path. A moment of panic when i dropped the lid as I thought I would never find it again! Luckily it was hanging off a weed and did not make it to ground level. Note to selfput the lid in pocket! TFTC
On holidays with alphag_25 from Mackay. In Brisbane for a couple of days and trying to grab some of the higher DT rating caches to fill some gaps. Thanks to the CO’s for placing the caches.
Out for a day of Geocaching on the Segway collecting good DT caches. Log soaked and no lid on container, photo as proof of find

Today was a day for some mental time alone. I checked the map, and decided I’d grab a few more of the Drum series. I knew it would give me plenty of walking time, which is what I needed today.
There is no longer a lid and the log sheets are sadly deteriorating, but I did manage to make my mark.
Thanks for the cache Willis007.

A mini tiny walk from the last one while in the area.
Can’t help think I walked past one that I haven’t solved but will remedy that soon .
Thank you for the puzzle.
Solved this one when first published but in the last few years I have been real lazy coming to Brissie.
Had no maintenance stuff with me…
The lid is missing and the log is full but not the end of the world…I got my name on there.
Cheers Willis007

Out with TeamARF to collect more Drums and a tree fish or two. Lovely cool day for January. Some delightful little spots along the brook! Thanks Willis007 for this awesome series!
Watched a muggle enter the bush with groceries in hand. Luckily we didn't need to enter at the same spot so moved about 20m down the path then went into the long grass. Veered toward the tree then spotted the cache just hanging there, without a lid. Completed a brief search for the lid, repacked the log and inverted the container to lessen future runoff. Have enjoyed the music series Willis007.
Today was my first day back at work after my Christmas break. I enjoyed doing some caching in the holidays and have a solid mini streak going. So I thought I would try to extend it a few days longer.
After work today, in the drizzle I ventured to GZ. Dodging muggles, I headed off the path into the tall grass where I made a quick find. The container was missing its lid, but the logbook seemed OK. After signing the log, I spied some muggles coming down the path frmo the opposite direction and being very exposed at GZ here, I decided to replace the container with out a lid - albeit upside down to help keep the logbook dry - rather than compromise the hide.
This one probably needs some love from the owner. Many thanks Willis 007

Made a quick find here after carefully making my way through the foliage. Very curious Muggle walked along the path and a wildlife survey was the wrong answer... Got stuck talking about changes in the area over the years! TFTC.
Dropped off some cans and saw this was the closest cache! Boom!
What a year Sandyofthesea and I have had. We kitted out the Prado and took off from Perth, Western Australia at the start of April 2022 to travel more of Australia using geocaching as a guide to see the sights. We started with the Nullabour, Eyre and York Peninsulas, the Riverlands, visited family in Victoria and then back in SA it got cold. Flinders and the Oodnadatta Track was cold and we finally warmed up in Dalhousie Springs. The Alice beckoned and then change of plan and ended up tackling the Tanami Track to the Kimberley and Bungles Bungles. Territory Day in Darwin was unhinged - please try and do it! The Gulf, the coast and the car breaker ‘Old Tele Track’ to the top of Cape York. This is a must but it’s not easy! Eventually made it to Brisbane to get some fixes to the car….. let’s see where we end up.
Willis007, I found Drum Beat #49 today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

Willis007, I found Drum Beat #49 today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
Before heading off on road trip I joined with endeavour3 and Richmond Lad for an afternoon of Drum Beating around north Brisbane. All caches we had on our list were found and an enjoyable afternoon was had. Thanks Willis007.
Out and about caching today with Endeavour 3 and joojoo57 Tackled some of the Drum Beat Geo Art. Thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.Signed cache. TFTC
Watawieh from Norfolk Island South Pacific.
I teamed up with Joojoo57 & Richmond Lad to tackle some of the Drum Beat Series. I was promoted to No. 1 tree climber and tree fisherman The rest of the team were responsible for locating the cache in the foliage TFTC
Some logs were signed as JJ57, RL, E3 to save space on smaller logs.
Found & logged using Cachly for iOS

Followed the geopath through the long grass to a very obvious GZ. Made a quick sign and return. Another drum beat collected. TFTC
Original cache now back in the tree, no longer a tree climb. Loosely tethered about head height to some new growth.

Up caseyanner went until we could not spot the cache, read some of the comments and located the cache from the co-ords! Gorjess516
Solved back in August and finally had a chance to come grab it. Found with Case and Sarah on a rainy Sunday TFTC.
I spent the morning doing a circuit walk in this area with a local friend, Sausage3, who hadn’t been along this part of Kedron Brook before. I had a few of the Drum series solved in this area. I don’t mind jigsaw puzzles, though thank goodness there are no time limits.
Arriving at gz, we noticed it was blocked off, then saw the note and offset for a temporary cache by the CO. But in the meantime, my friend spotted the original cache attached to the nearby fence, so I signed both caches. Tftc

The area around gz is still fenced off. The tree which held the cache originally is still there, just a lot smaller. Until the area has opened up again there is a bison on the nearby fence. Look low.

Another fun and easy puzzle to solve in this Drum Beat series.
Lucky I read the CO’s notes on GZ, which saved me considerable time, otherwise I would have been looking in the wrong place. Was an easy find. TFTC

Hoping to get back to gz this weekend to see what has become of the area after the flood clean up.
The cache survived when the tree was struck by lightning but the floods took the cache in the end.
Not sure whether what remains of this once magnificent tree will be left here, the council has a lot of work to do, will disable until I can see what happens.

Solved it and found it! Approached GZ with caution and quickly made the find. Signed the log on the back of sheet number two. TFTC
Yep the tree is split, but the cache was safe. I spotted it and decided I needed a decent climb today and so I did, up I went quick smart and did the necessary signing and a quick jump down to earth. TFTC
Yep, the half tree down has made approach to this one a little more difficult, but there is a path in. NurseyJulie and I stood at GZ and scanned the area for a couple of minutes before the container was spotted. NJ saw it first and was keen to make the ascent, so who was I to stand in her way.
She nabbed the cache, extracted the log and added our names before tucking everything back in place.
Cheers Willis007.

Looks like this tree has had some damage and has literally split in half - one half still up and about, the other half flat on the ground. With some sort of luck the cache is in the upright part of the tree, take care if you're going to venture in.
With the target of completing the series this weekend, I brought the bike with me to improve efficiency between caches. It worked great and I was flying between puzzle pieces.
On arrival at this GZ, I was greeted with a very nice tree climb and had no trouble getting the cache. Tftc Willis007

I raced to solve many of the Drum series before heading down to Dayboro for the Mega. Sadly I didn’t have time to pick up these then. I needed to clear my head after a funeral today so came down to pick up the odd few. Having scaled Takai ki ni - 高い木に today, this wasn’t a problem. Thanks Willis007
Will need a log soon. Still a few spots.
Sun was shining and the scooters hadn’t been used for a while so a plan was made to grab some Drums and a few trads along Kedron Brook Bikeway. Really enjoyable day and was thankful to have had some help with the puzzles in this series. I had a head start with a few knowing the CO and her musical preferences. That narrowed the field with some.

In between appointments today I decided to head over and pick up another cache in this series. Loads of parking nearby and a short walk brought me to GZ. A very nice climb here, almost like going up a ladder. TFTC, Willis007.
I has scouted this area a few weeks back and had the location pinpointed but there were so many muggles out and about that day. Stealth was not an option.
Today I found the area quiet with no passer-bys. Quickly, up I went and soon had cache in hand.
Signed my name, returned as found and collected another smile.
Beautiful day for a great activity.
Thanks for the puzzle and TFTC

I had a late start today as I had to have my leg dressed, caching injury 3 or 4 weeks ago and I also had a hair cut booked but then I was able to join with RoddyC, Hatsoff, Patrol14, Snickersallen and GrannySmith1947 to do a bit of Drumming and a few other caches. Its always good to have company.

Now that we have more freedom, it's time to get out and about. Target: More of the Drum Beat Series which we started a couple of weeks ago. I figure we shall need another day to finish them off. Our team met up at the Stafford City Shopping Center and we started from there. All up we had just the one DNF at #6.
Snickersallan took the lead here - well done!

Spent a few hours out with Selva Girls this afternoon to pick up some of the Drum Beat caches. Plenty of walking, a bit of tree climbing and some tree fishing. There were some good hides along the way and some rather sneaky ones.

Another surprise - another tree climb! Up we go!
By the way - a beautiful tree in a beautiful area!
We are not a very good puzzle team, but from time to time, we approach them for a try.
We solved couple of the drum caches... And went today to change those ones to smilies.
As we stopped for photos, coffee, and traditional caches on the way , we got 6 drum caches on our daily exercise.

A little sidestep here from my general route today. This was a fun climb up and especially fun to be signing up while other people walked by. TFTC where all is OK.
This was a puzzle that was logical to solve, but just needed some time to sit down and go through the motions. I had managed to solve this puzzle back on 22/02/2021, but hadn't had the chance in visiting until today.
This evening, I needed to pop around to Bunnings nearby, and so after grabbing that shopping, I thought I would pop around the corner to a geocache, of which this *Drum Beat* geocache appeared to fit the bill.
Parking nearby, it was only a short walk to GZ, and after making a loop, I was glad to find a reasonable access entrance into its inside area. A fun climb up and I managed to quickly identify the cache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Willis007 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

A glorious day out on Bike, rolling along to my own rhythm and beat. 4 hours by bike covering 35kms, and a further 4 hours by Suzee car and feet. A glorious day indeed. Spent a few weeks not long after they were released working my way through these puzzles, and today managed to pick up a lot of them. The first I think today of what turned out to be a lot of these upward ones. Monkey on a bike!
Thanks Willis007 for entertaining me at this location.

After lunch we drove to the Stafford shopping centre. It’s a place I have never set foot in but being a professional shopaholic my wife knew all about it.
Mrs Woodyrothwell still had $40 left on her Mother’s Day present budget and she knew that if it wasn’t spent by tomorrow I would save that money for more important things like wine. She tried her absolute hardest to find something, anything, yet nothing jumped out at her. Tomorrow was the last day she had to spend that money so she put out a Hail Mary.
After watching my wife shop, which is how all husbands secretly like spending their time, we walked over to look for this cache. If she couldn’t spend her money then at least I was prepared to spend some of it on a coffee. I took the coffee up the tree so it could enjoy the view as well. tftc

We were looking forward to The Drum challenge and today was our first day of attempting these clever puzzle caches. What a sterling effort by Willlis007. The variety of hides was fantastic, we used the bike, the fishing pole, leg power, up trees and up and down vales. Our thanks to Willis007 for placing this cache series and enhancing our enjoyment of the area..
We have now set up camp at the Caboolture showgrounds. We have been joined for a couple of days by pprass. This was an antisipated bikeride by the male members of the teams. They set off one way while the girls decided that a visit to Cosco which can't be found within 600 kls of where we live would be a good idea.
The boys returned approx. 4pm exhausted, they had done about half & there is no talk of a return to finish the series at this time. They said the bike path was a wonderful concrete track untill they met a hill climb then it was hard work.
Thankyou Willis007 for placing this cache.

Had some time this afternoon to tick off a couple more solved caches in the drum series. Parked in the shopping centre car park and a short stroll to the adjusted location. The cache took about a minute to spot. This was a nIce easy tree climb, especially when I had monkey boy with me. Log book signed and returned. Thanks for the cache and the series Willis007. Cheers
A team effort to solve all the caches in this series in preparation for burgo78 visiting the big smoke.
Loaded the bikes this morning and set out to log the series by car and bike.
Met some friendly muggles, saw wallabies and a turtle, rode bikes in the mud, and through fast-flowing creeks.
Easy tree climbs and some hard-to-find ones.
Wet feet and shoes all day due to plenty of water in many parks.
The Kedron brook was flowing quickly, would have been an adrenaline-packed paddle today.
Thank you Willis007 for this series and my apologies for the copy-paste logs

After a joint effort in puzzle solving, it was time for Caro, Kestal and I to head down the range from Toowoomba to convert a few to smilies. Caro & I were chasing puzzle numbers for a challenge & Kestal was after overall numbers for an upcoming milestone. All logs were signed E.C.K. to save time & space. A bit soggy underfoot after all the rain and very steamy but no DNFs. And due to this day I'm now spending my last few hours of lockdown catching up on my logging . Thanks for the fun Willis007.

That’s a peculiar set of objects at the bottom of this tree! It makes you wonder how things like this end up out in places like this. Spotted quite quickly once we were on the right side of the tree and a quick scramble to the top soon had the cash in hand.

It's been a few days in between caches and I'm starting to get withdrawals so I took a slight detour on the way home to get started on the Drum Beat series. This one was a must grab as I still need the terrain rating for a challenge I'm working on.
I parked the car within 100 metres and wandered over towards GZ, with a quick look here and there the cache was quickly spotted and signed.
Thanks for the adventure, I'm really enjoying this series so far, a good variety of puzzles to keep me busy.

Thanks for the cache and taking us here Willis007. Enjoyed solving the puzzle and finding the cache with Domsky.
Appreciate your time and effort for putting out and maintaining these for our enjoyment.

I do like jigsaw based puzzles... you know you’re getting somewhere...
GZ was just like climbing a ladder... well almost... and I was so sure the shuddering tree from a XXkg geocacher up it would attract the attention of passing muggles... but no... they were oblivious...
Tftc... I’m certainly developing the tree climbing skill that I failed to gain as a kid...

Time to break out the trusty geosteed and hit the trail in search of some recently solved caches close to home. Great afternoon of caching had. Thanks to the co for the caches.
I’ve noticed a lot of loud noise beating in a rhythmic manner in the neighbourhood lately. In fact, some of the drums are in very close proximity to my house, there is even a drum kit just past the end of my street which to date I have not been able to shift.
I digress, fun Friday meant a bike ride to collect the solved drum beats along with Mrs Slow Puncture. I have a nice little loop planned which enables the collection of a few caches and I meet up with Mrs SP along the way.
The frog was sure noisy, almost at drum intensity. We were getting close to coffee time and exploring the path out to the side I discovered where we were. However, we kept riding in search of a not chain shop.

Friday. The heat was hot today and the sweat was pouring off me. Still, it was so lovely to ride along this spot and grab some glimses of the beautiful clear running water. It was my turn to climb the tree and grab this one. I couldn’t believe what I saw attached to the tree and I’m awarding a FP to this cache because of what I heard coming from inside the item! (it was a huge green tree frog who let us know he was inside and gave the loudest croaking noises which stopped when I moved away).
This was the 15th of 30 caches found on this outing.
Thanks ***Willis007*** for showing us this place

This drummer takes me back to the comics we read as a kid.
I had parked near this one to check on the caches within walking distance from here and this was the first one that I walked to and then saw the attributes and soon spotted the cache but my body would not enable me to access it so I left it to find some others and as I returned to this one on the way back to my car a Dad and young fella were coming past me so I politely asked them for assistance and it was the youngster who make the climb for me.

Out for a morning of caching with nikid1 and some more of the drums were on our hit list. I really enjoy jigsaws so was excited to see a few in this series of puzzles. As the designated tree climber in our caching duo nikid1 made quick work of grabbing & signing this one.
Thanks for the puzzle, cache & series Willis007

After work i decided to take my bike for a spin and pick up some of these solved puzzles. I love a jigsaw and i love a tree climb so this was perfect for me. Took a few minutes to spot the cache and the climb was fun. Thanks for the fun
My favourite type of puzzle as I love jigsaws the old fashioned in a box type and app types.
A lovely walk to GZ with KerriMG then up I went. Another good tree for climbing. Names added then back down to collect the next smiley.

Met for a bicycle ride with Team Tyrrell this morning and collected a good amount of the new Drum series. I had good fun solving the puzzle beforehand and once we arrived at GZ, we found most caches quite quickly.
Thanks for the series in the northern suburbs!

Out and about on the Geobikes today with Georode picking up a few of the drum series. All up we cycled almost 40 km's darting around the suburbs collecting smilies.
I've enjoyed solving the puzzles so far, however there are still quite a few for me to get my head around and get the green tick of approval. Lots more headaches to come for me.
Thanks Willis007 for the placement and upkeep of this series. ( I'm sure i'll be picking your brain and looking for hints in the coming weeks.

You can't beat a good Geoart series & this Drum Beat series has certainly earned it's place in the Top10 in QLD.
Great puzzle mix and some top cache locations.
We have 60 of the 63 puzzles solved so it's time for a few more smilies.
Round 2 …
#8 of 22 found today.
Aha!
Another jigsaw, I love them.
Coordinates extracted, time for a smilie!
Mrs VC was up for the climb but on arrival at GZ neither of us were reassured.
There, right in front of us and at eye level were a pair of boots just hanging there like an omen.
Is this all that remains of the last cacher who called here? [?]
A few deep breaths and up went Mrs VC, who in no time at all had made our mark & replaced as found.
Hopefully the boots are NOT caching related, it was Georode who visited here last, just this morning we believe.

Day 2 of this little puzzle geoart series and after spending the night solving more puzzles I had a nice little run. I then received a message from Orange Crew saying he had the morning off. I told him of my plan and to bring his bike. After we both did our Daddy drop off duties, we meet up at the designated point and started our ride. We had a couple of possible FTF’s and a run of caches to collect. It was an awesome morning for a ride, I took the TOTT, just in case we came across a surprise cache, (lucky we did). We collected approximately 20 caches and 2 FTF’s, a great time again with orange crew.
The variety of hides and caches along this track is just fantastic, tree climbs, tree fishing, hanging in trees, and then a couple of surprise ones; you just cannot pick what you are going to get next, well done. With the log signed and cache returned as found, we were off to grab another on our list, thanks for placing these along here.
With the bike ride over it was time to grab a few others given the time before pickup was still 2 hours away.
