Heading south with rattll, en route to GeoToroa at Dunedin. Today, started at Paparoa Point, north of Kaikoura, aiming for... somewhere in North Canterbury, tbc. Our sole confirmed target for the day is GCEB9, at Glentui. The oldest letterbox hybrid in NZ, and coincidentally a Jasmer spot that we both need. Everything else collected today is a bonus, so we're stopping as the whim takes us.We looked for this one last night, and again this morning. No luck finding.
Found it on my way to Chch. Cheers nice place to stop. May have accidentally placed a bit far in.
We were here late afternoon and we had the place to ourselves. Great to have a look around
On a road trip with Net61 exploring Kaikoura and finding as many caches as we can. Last cache for the day and we had the place to ourselves, so didnt have to worry about muggles watching us. Quick find here by Net. TFTC
Plan A was to spend the weekend in Blenheim but as we often do we find ourselves following plan B. Which turned out to be heading towards Kaikoura. We are in the campervan with a trailer on behind so we were only going to stop where there was ample parking, this certainly met those requirements. What a fabulous area, we found a gap in the muggles and made a quick find here on a fine yet chilly afternoon. Thanks for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley
Had parked overnight at the freedom camping, so made sure to grab this cache in the morning before I headed off. Sneaky hide here, had to check a couple of spots before I got the right one, TFTC
Stayed overnight in the motorhome and got up early to find this cute cache. TFTC

Found on a beautiful calm Autumn day while driving North to Blenheim. Lovely to sit a while in this lovely spot . Nearly a disaster as we had a second search for one dropped piece of the cache! Relieved that all is well again. TFTC
On the way from Havelock to Kaikoura SiamFee and I made a short rest and could find the cache quickly. Thxs for the CacheSiamkiwi
My bus tour stopped to view the seals and the stunning views.i was able to also find and sign this geocache. Thank you for placing this geocache. I am visiting from San Antonio, Texas. USA
Stopped for lunch and then found the cache just as some muggles arrived. Cache replaced and on we go. Thank you.
We enjoyed stopping here and seeing seals. Easy find but whoa it's windy! TFTC
Back on the south island as we fly out of Christchurch in a few days . We love this part of the coast and nice to see so many new ones since our last visit, plus the new roads which were being repaired last time. This was a quick find and have a favourite point for showing us this stop.TFTCTim and Viv - ddm
On our long term trip from Germany to Western Australia / Tasmania / New Zealand for about 3,5 month, we drove trough NZ and picked up some cachesThis one was a quick found. TFTC
Nach ein wenig Suchen war der Kleine dann entdeckt. Danke frs Herlocken sagt die Hamburg Hummel und lsst hier gerne ein blaues Schleifchen zurck
Log was torn and full so have removed and replaced. I didn't have a nano roll so its just a skinny bit of write-on waterproof paper. Thanks for placing a cache here, Injeanious.#10210
A nice quick find here. The logbook is full and will need to be replaced. Cheers and TFTC.Gday there Injeanious, we were in this area today and found your cache Pou of Tteurutira (Marlborough) GC93YB8. Our name was added to the log book at 1:23pm on 1 January 2024. A huge thanks to you for placing this cache here for us (and others) to find!We took up Geocaching on 3 March 2013 and this cache brings our total find count to - 14397.
Not too many muggles about and they all quickly dispersed as we settled in to start the search at GZ. Log book is about a quarter the length of what it should be and totally full. Not a speck of space left to write on, so I took a picture of it.
The Swiss cacher family with Spiess, J_walk, MsSophie and Drayah visited also New Zealand and this cache. TFTC!

A great spot and I liked the look of a lot of the art at these different spots as we drove past. Saw loads of seals today. Found quickly and returned. Glad it was magnetic so that at least I didn't have to worry about the container blowing away. Tftc
My first find for today. Beautiful day to stop here. Thanks for giving me a reason to Injeanious

I had a look last night at a map of caches I have yet to sign off on the road north of Kaikoura. These caches don't have a big enough park for my cachemobile and snail shell so I just came up in my cachemobile. From my research I know that some maybe missing or hard to find.
It was great to find this one after DNFing it 1.5 years ago.Score Yellow 5/ Blue 3.
Cheers for the cache, Injeanious.

After clearing out all but three caches on the Molesworth Road between the locked gates before it closes very very soon for the season I headed home. This was the fourteenth stop along the way.
Time to turn another blue face to yellow at another place I have searched more than once. Still not that easy but eventually got the correct level, in the correct place. And, it was exactly what I was expecting to find before but couldn't.

Sorry for the lateness of the log...Found Whilst on a long Summer Road Trip.TFTC
Stopped by on our way to Blenheim. The pou wasn't there last time we came. After a few pictures, we went to sea some seals. Used the hint and located the cache in the third spot. All good here. Thanks for hiding.
Day 6 of my Spring Holiday. Leaving Christchurch and heading to Hamilton with an overnight stay in Picton. A couple of stops along the way and this was an unplanned one as my muggle friend wanted to stop for a look. Definitely not complaining as ooooh look there's a cache here haha. Well this one had us going round and round back and forth using our hands along the way. After a good 10 minutes it was time to move on and as I took a seat again and looked down I finally spotted the sneaky wee blighter!!! Woo hoo TFTC
Having a milestone birthday this weekend, my aim was 50 caches. That was too much for one day so the 50 finds were spread over the celebratory weekend, 1/2 on my way South and 1/2 on my way North.
This was not one of them.
This was not one of them.
Soon in our hands along with a smiley. Gardener just finishing for the day. Nearly didnt spot one of the areas. TFTC
Another trip to Christchurch but as the appointment isn't until tomorrow morning we had a leisurely trip down. Took a while to find this one. When we arrived there were other visitors in the area so we wandered around picking up the info for the nearby multi. Once we had all that info, we made our way to gz for this and a few stops and starts later we finally had the cache in hand. tftc
I checked this one out yesterday, which took a fair while to locate, between passing muggles. Thank goodness we had plenty of time as we stayed here for a couple of nights. It would be hard to find when muggles were here!
So I waited until the coast was clear today and completed the formalities so as to continue our caching streak.
Thanks for putting this here in this awesome spot.

Out having a GC adventure with lunch packed to explore the coast. Beautiful spot here to walk around so much to see and great views. Happy to find this clever wee cache. Thanks for the cache Injeanious.

A beautiful place to stop, with a stunning view of the coast
Heading back to Blenheim from Christchurch, already halfway through our summer holiday. A few stops on the way to break up the trip. First stop the Woodend Beach camping ground to catch up with a old work colleague of mine camping & then Pegasus to check out a section for sale. We grabbed a cache while there I got the responsibility of choosing where else we stopped on the way

RG72 spotted this one. I had searched what I thought were obvious spots, she found it pretty quickly. TFTC Injeanious. There are a lot of these pull over spots now, some local history is coming to the fore and it’s great to see.
Driving from Christchurch to Blenheim halfway through our summer hols. A couple of planned stops to catch up with friends at Woodend Beach camping ground, and check out a spot in Pegasus that a family member is keen on.
While we are there, the PWGT cache in Pegasus and then a start on the NZ Monopoly virtual at Kaikoura.
Apart from that, no other plans.
I gave the responsibility to RG72 to determine where else we stop on the way home, so the result is half a dozen pretty random caches. All good though, thanks all COs.

On our way to Nelson via the coast. After searching some obvious edges, found it from a not so obvious edge. placed it back exactly how we found it. TFTC
Another great place to stop and another great pou to visit. REplaced full log here with temp WITR log to help this one along. Cheers
Day 5 - Christmas Eve Friday 24 December - From Amberly we return to Picton today. With the Seagnoid departing for wellington this evening. With a few stops along the way to help the day go by. Were dragging Toby along with a dead battery today. Bummer.
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are of on another Geo adventure this time to Mt Cook for 5 days. Met up with Bullertrout and Bro on the way down. Lake Pukaki was fine but Mt Cook was wet and wild with the Hooker Valley being closed due to high winds, so did not stay long. We went exploring Tekapo, Timaru and a round trip to Lake Coleridge. Short trip and very tiring but awesome.

Love these pull-over spaces. And this is a decent sized one, big enough for a Zara and Toby B-train. Just. Fluked the find here in less than five seconds! Outstanding! Love these pou - withtheir mix of classical and modern styles.
Part of a big trip with Taybeedragon to explore Mt Cook. We explored a little of it but there was gale winds, lots of cloud and rain. Some of the tracks had been closed and others were right dodgy given that we did not have our foul weather tramping kit. We had booked to stay for two nights but left the same day. More time to explore parts of Canterbury! So now I have been to Mt Cook . Still yet to see Aorangi.

Quick stop off for a picture and a cache. Took a couple of places to find but soon found the cache. Beautiful view & thanks for the cache
Found with Piwaka54 had to wait for muggles to leave before our thorough search. So awesome to see the Kekeno in their new chosen home. Let’s hope Ruaumoko leaves them alone!!!
That took me a few moments to find and I also had to wait for a family to leave
Was upset going to be dnf due to high muggles but then I saw someone obviously looking for the cache so joined them and the extra people and hands helped provide cover
A DNF for me here. Tried a lot of the possible hidey holes. Even managed to extract a stuck finger a couple of times. Even PAF for help but still not found.
Is it still there?
