07-Oct-24
Out on a very warm day geocaching with Legend and Sniggypop to try to find the rest of the drum caches that we solved earlier this year.Lots of forks to chose from but it was quickly located.

29-Aug-24
I have a list of solved puzzle caches in this series that I put aside until I'd solved a few more. Well I've got sick of looking at the half completed list so I decided to go in search of a few random ones today. It didn't take long to find this one. All was good with it.TFTC

29-Apr-24
29/4/2024 Find #7026A solo wandering today, I decided to grab some of the still outstanding audio and drum beat caches, with the odd other cache or two thrown in for good measure. Again my pick of days and time worked well to find this one has gone in my favour. Thanks for the cache Willis007.

12-Apr-24
These puzzles were solved a while ago, finally able to get a few more signed while down on holidays. Tftc slOn a caching holiday from Mackay. In the search of old caches and ones to fill DT grid spaces. Found TFTC SL Thanks for placing this cache for our enjoyment.

12-Apr-24
After an early morning start at an event to meet some local cachers including the CO of this series with alphag_25, we decided to try and complete the Drum Beat art series which we had solved some time ago. Helping to fill some DT grid spaces as well. TFTC

24-Feb-24
Cache has been replaced with a fresh new log. Rock on!

21-Dec-23
Parked nearby and walked the short distance to GZ where the cache was found filled with water with a very sodden logbook. TFTC

10-Dec-23
Continuing my finds in this area. I had solved this one ages ago. I thought my musical training had given me enough information to be able to answer these questions, but I had to search for some of the information to get the checker to like my coords.I quickly found this cache, although I noticed the "swooping birds" notice, and looked and listened conscientiously as I walked along. Fortunately it's a little past the swooping season. I like sharks, I don't like magpies. There is more chance of getting swooped by a maggie than be bitten by a shark! They freak me out.Anyway, all was safe here and the cache was quickly found. Unfortunately the log sheet was pretty wet. I dried it as well as I could, and made my mark as well as I could. The cache was returned as found, hopefully in slightly better condition that I found it, minus a bit of water. Needs maintenance though, as acknowledged during swooping season by the cO.Thanks again, Willis007.

19-Nov-23
A nice simple find. Log book looks like its been wet before but is still usable.

13-Nov-23
I went to replace the log for this cache and was warned off by half a dozen swooping birds. I'll try again in about 6 weeks.

11-Nov-23
I was over on the Northside today to pick up a wardrobe for my daughter. I was about to set off home when I thought I would check if there were any close caches and there were 2 drum puzzles within walking distance of where I was. I found this one quite easily but it was sitting in a puddle of water. The log was not in a bag so the names are now unreadable but because it is waterproof paper I was still able to sign it. I returned it to the same spot but a bit further up out of the water. Thanks for the cache Willis007! You might want to give this one some TLC soon.

24-Aug-23
Found this one on the ground. Log still in it. Have placed in back in a fork. TFTC and the puzzle series.

11-Nov-22
Watawieh from Norfolk Island South Pacific.

After a morning of retail therapy including some caching supplies it was time to get outside and find some of the puzzles on my solved list. TFTC

Found & logged using Cachly for iOS

26-Oct-22
I had solved many of these before leaving home, unsure of how many I would get to. I decided to run a bit further south for this one early this morning, wow that roundabout at Chermside is a big one! Traffic much better at 6am than at 5pm.

Out for an early morning walk before breakfast. I am staying in the area for work, and casually grabbing more and more of these in the area. This one was a quick find after getting to the correct side of the big tree, inner cache in good condition, signed and returned as found (but upside down so the water runs out). Good coords on this one for me.

Thanks for the cache and the ongoing maintenance Willis007. Find #7467 at 6.20am

12-Jul-22
Scored a few hits before the rain came down on my bike helmet.

A quick find here Smile

16-Mar-22
Out for a solo run to see if I can finish off this series.

I parked between two caches and headed off for a walk. After success at the first I doubled back to this one, and made a quick find. The outer container was full of water, but the inner was as dry as a bone [^] TFTC, Willis007.

22-Jan-22
With the daylight fading there was still time for a couple more smilies to be found. In and out quick smart and another cache was found. Not many to go now! Tftc Willis007

18-Jan-22
Quick find on my way to get my booster shoot.

02-Dec-21
Decided to head up to Sandgate & track down georode's latest offering in the AdLab stakes & to pick up a few Trads, solved puzzle caches &
challenges along the way that have been waiting far too long on our list. Smile

Not real sure what happened with this one today? [?]
We solved the puzzle not long after this series was published but still had 4 to find so today was to be the day.
The Geo-Beast's GPS was loaded with the coordinates & we were soon close to GZ and that's when things went weird ... to say the least! Surprised
As we walked along the path our phone screens changed & the next thing the cache was showing as 660 metres away ... NOT the 89 metres we first noted when parking the Geo-Beast!
Now unsure we re-entered the numbers into the checker & this time it said NO! Surprised
Well, we didn't know what to do ... proceed with no bearings or cancel? [?]
Mrs VC was adamant that she would find the cache so, working blind, we picked a spot & went in to begin our search.
After disturbing a cane toad we still weren't sure about the cache ... I was convinced we were wasting our time but Mrs VC wasn't having it & kept looking AND ...

... came up with the cache! Surprised
We still don't know what happened & the checker is still saying NO to our numbers but Mrs VC is cheering! Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin
Made our mark & replaced as found.

Took longer to remove the cache container from the cache container due to the ring being turned down the wrong way. Replaced the log how they should be returned for those after signing. Inner containers inside was dry. Thanks Willis007

I worked this one out a couple of months ago so came to this area for some geocaching today. Found easily but there was water in the container and log was wet. Managed to sign. Tftc

06-Oct-21
Even with google’s help I had to guess a few here but I finally got the tick of approval.
Work from home day today so after school drop off ducked out for one cache before meetings. Slowly finding all the drums.
Nice quick find here and I’ve never seen camo like that before

After the DNF, we walked over to this GZ and spotted a very nicely specimen where the cache could be and tucked in it was! TFTC

26-Sep-21
NurseyJulie and I walked over to this one to cool down after a lengthy DNF on the last container we hunted in this series. While the coords wanted us in a specific area, gz was obvious when you scan around so we adjusted our position and NJ swiftly unearther the cache. [^]

Cheers Willis007.

28-Aug-21
I didn't realise I had my co-ords wrong until I pulled up in a nearby parking area.
My navigator was pointing to someone's front yard.
Quickly reassessed my numbers and saw 1 digit was wrong.
Headed off in the right direction and soon found myself at GZ.
Luckily not many muggles out and about this morning, just one lady and her dog.
Within the minute I had located the cache which is in good condition. I signed my name, returned as found and collected another smile.
Now off to work for another hectic day.
Thanks for the puzzle and TFTC

Now that we have more freedom, it's time to get out and about. Target: More of the Drum Beat Series which we started a couple of weeks ago. I figure we shall need another day to finish them off. Our team met up at the Stafford City Shopping Center and we started from there. All up we had just the one DNF at #6.

Easy puzzle - easy cache. Loving it!

Log signed and cache replaced as found on 21st August 2021. TFTC, Willis007

Unfortunately my snow chasing adventure has come to an end. I had a fabulous time exploring towns like Glen Innes, Ben Lomond and Guyra. I had the opportunity to see a tonne of snow and took many photos! In total I reckon I've done close to 1000km of driving, was it worth it? YES and I'd do it all again in a heart beat.

Ahhh yes, my last cache for the day. It's been a long exhausting day with a lot of driving. I can't wait to get home and kick my feet up and relax.

I solved this puzzle back when it was published, but I've been rather slack with this series, I've solved a bunch of them, but haven't had the opportunity to hunt them down.

Nice quick find at GZ today although I had to wait for a muggle and her dog to move along before I started my search, so I just pretended I was doing something on my phone until she passed.

This evening, I decided to visit this area as it was close to home. I parked in the nearby car park (although I didn't realise that the park's gate shut after sunset, and so I was lucky not to be locked in), and made a walk along the paths.

This puzzle was a friendly research puzzle that didn't take long to solve.
Upon jogging along the paths and arriving at GZ, I was thinking how many possible hiding spots there would be in this rather large tree, and where specifically the hint would direct me. However, I must have fluked the find, as I made a find in the first place that I looked. Cute outer camouflage. Unfortunately and similar to the previous geocache visited, this logbook was quite wet - how does a waterproof logbook inside a protective plastic bag become so wet? Perhaps the better strategy with these these container types and waterproof logbooks is to remove the plastic bag, and allow the logbook to dampen and then dry over time? The logbook was stamped, and the cache container was in good shape. Thanks Willis007 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Well this was a little rabbit Warren to get into from work - and then home! Beautiful afternoon and there were all sorts making use of the path. Retrieved in a break of the fluffy four legged muggles.

03-May-21
The worst time to dig around trees is just after rain. The leaves are always slippery and slimy and you just expect there to be a slug in every handful. There is nothing worse than the feeling of some low-life slug brushing up against your hand and I have to use the urinal on a regular basis.

We are always on the lookout for a stick strong enough to flick the leaves out of nooks and crannies. We always start with the closest one that usually breaks. Then we cash in some money and experience points to buy better weapons like playing a game.

Mrs Woodyrothwell thought she had found the cache but wasn’t ready to touch it. It looked odd and different to all the other drum caches we had found so for what seemed an eternity we both tried to egg the other on to touch it. Finally she caved (read I won the battle) and she summoned the fortitude to grab it. I have never seen anyone apply hand sanitiser so quickly. tftc

29-Apr-21
Continuing on this wonderful puzzle trail. Thanks Willis007 for arranging and hiding Smile

24-Apr-21
I go cold when a multi choice answer combination is presented. This puzzle isn't bad, only having 2 options per coord digit. The permutations though greatly exceed the number of toes and fingers available and if you plot all the number combinations, you almost end up with the winning numbers in last weeks lotto jackpot.

If only I used these numbers instead of my current system of labeling 45 dried dog food pellets and get the mutt to randomly eat six pellets. The system was doomed from the start as the woofer had all those suckers siphoned down the hatch that quick that I should have checked the Guinness World Records before the trial. Alas I'll be back to my original system of numbering 45 beers and randomly drinking six during the next rare bronco's win. Thanks Willis007 for bringing me back to the beer.

24-Apr-21
Not in the fork we expected as the GPS had as spot on at another tree. I used my senses here and spotted the camo cache !

20-Apr-21
On my way home from work I had time to duck in and find this cache. I solved this puzzle awhile ago on my lunch break with my geo work friend and was happy at gz to spot the cache quickly. Such a nice spot for a cache . Thankyou for taking me here and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy and the fun puzzle

We have now set up camp at the Caboolture showgrounds. We have been joined for a couple of days by pprass.
Today was the 2nd day to finish off the drum series, the puzzles had been completed prior to leaving. home. So much information learnt about drummers & drumming.
This series today we spent about half & half of the time bike riding & by car. The bike riding was by far the most enjoyable.
Thankyou Willis007 for placing this cache.

A team effort to solve all the caches in this series in preparation for burgo78 visiting the big smoke.
Loaded the bikes this morning and set out to log the series by car and bike.
Met some friendly muggles, saw wallabies and a turtle, rode bikes in the mud, and through fast-flowing creeks.
Easy tree climbs and some hard-to-find ones.
Wet feet and shoes all day due to plenty of water in many parks.
The Kedron brook was flowing quickly, would have been an adrenaline-packed paddle today.

Thank you Willis007 for this series and my apologies for the copy-paste logs

Another puzzle that I failed to solve on the first attempt... or three... eventually got there and learnt stuff too...

At GZ I was glad it’s school holidays... this cache is an advertisement for Write in the Rain logs... water had gotten into not only the outer and inner containers but also the snap lock bag... I’ve dried out the log, replaced both the snap lock bag and inner container and returned as found... I hope this meets with the COs approval...

The critters have taken a liking to the cache too... tftc...

Friday. Really nice quick find here. The camo bag was actually better than intended I think, due to recent rains. It was a good walk here and I continued the walk to the next cache whilst Mr SP drove off to a better car park for me.

This was the 11th of 15 caches found on this outing.

Thanks ***Willis007*** for showing us this place Razz

This morning Team Tyrrell and I went for a bike ride to collect more of the new drum series. We had good fun and made good progress finding the caches.

Thanks for this enjoyable series and the variety of puzzles and hides!

01-Mar-21
Out and about again with Georode to finish off the drum series. This will be our 2nd day on the geo bikes covering just over 40 km's today ( 80km in total over 2 days of cycling from home.)

I have enjoyed the challenge of solving the various puzzles thrown up by Willis007. Most of them i was able to punch my way through by myself, however a few i needed a kick in the right direction.

Today we had the relevant TOTT to collect the harder to reach caches. I feel like i pushed my way through a hundred spider webs whilst crawling in and around the trees and i must have been bitten at least 10 times by the mozzies but i loved it.

Tanks Lisa for a great series and and extra big thanks for putting it so close to my home Smile
Love your work.

26-Feb-21
I always seem to either learn something new or remember to do something while caching. Like remember to take a pen and then it was take a spare, remember to take an extraction tool. Today I learnt to read the hints BEFORE you leave the car, on 3 occasions I had to walk a distance back to get a TOTT of some sort. I was in no hurry today so it was nice to just wonder around and enjoy my mistakes.

Just grabbing a few today as I am working up to a milestone and would like to collect that on one of these in this series.

Of the caches I found today all were in good condition; I signed the log and returned as found. Thank you for this series, a good variety of finds today.

True/false, false/true. At least with a puzzle like this, we stand a 50/50 chance. That makes it sound easy. But it wasn’t. It took a few goes to get this one sorted.
Out with our trio of the Three Musketeers, and we all made this find at the same time, spotting it together.
Thanks Willis007. So much more we have learned about drumming, drums, drum kits and amazing drum artists.

Out for a Redcliffe Roll and coffee ( well it is Wednesday, not that one needs a special day for coffee) and on the way home I was thinking about Drum Practice. Let me see - yes I can still hear a few empty drums beating just over the hill from home, just another short cycle diversion up another valley and I shall have these 3 drums completed. Lesson 5 for today's ride

Wow that is a small kit. A bit damp as well, fortunately nobody having lessons nearby today.

Had the opportunity to find another few caches this afternoon. Was close by this cache last week, so knew where to head. Parked car and the dog and I headed along the path. Along with plenty of others this afternoon stretching their legs and giving the pooches a run. Checked the hint so i could be looking for logical spots for a quick grab. On approach i was crossing paths with another dog walker so had to pick up cache on return. Spotted a likely target and a quick detour and found the cache quite quickly. The camo is something new to me, not like I've seen before. Very effective . Log book signed and cache relaced, All good here. Thanks for the cache Willis007. Cheers

Awoken from my slumber by 4000 email notifications, I decided to check out The reason for it. To my delight a new series right on my doorstep gave me a reason to be awake. I don’t usually try for *FTF* but I couldn’t resist this time. I scrolled through for a lower difficulty, had it solved in short order and was soon digging around GZ. Cache finally found in the last place I checked as is my tradition. TFTC Willis007
