Had a good hunt around the rocks with the kids but there was no sign of a cache We were pleased to find a beautiful spot by the river for lunch though and a great walkway to bring the bikes & scooter on.
Found with ABCDF4 whilst over ion the bay on a days caching. Thanks for the hide.
This was our 4th find of the day - on bike ride around Katikati enjoying the late summer weather. Thank you very much for the placement.
An early morning stroll along this wonderful walkway. Thanks for the placement
??????Just going through my lists and realised that I hadn’t logged this one. Nice spot ??????TFTC ??????
What a great park. Good place for a cache as people nearby were all interested in the water and we had time for a leisurely look. Cache is all good. TFTC
Found on my 6 weeks long holiday near my first backpacker house I have ever stayed. So much nostalgy.
Had a good search around for this one, after a while of hunting and knowing we were in the right place from previous logs, decided to replace this cache with kimbathelion.
Had a thorough search without any success. Neighbours watched us. Replaced where we thought it should be. Tftc
The Katikati Brownies and Pippins managed to find this one. They had so much fun. Happy hunting.
Ha ha ha...this took way longer than I expected!
So many nooks and crannies....
I finally sat on a rock and tried to glean an extra hint from logs but nah....
I then put my hand under the rock I was resting on and....What do you know!
Bingo....☆
Thanks Katikati Girl Guides

Grabbed after a hard day at work and was glad we didnt have to walk far haha. Love the design of the bridge nearby and all the quotes around the area.
After a nice chilled out Easter Weekend in Katikati house-sitting a family friend's house with my parentals, I managed to encourage the husband to find a couple more geocaches on our way home.
This guy took a bit of scrummaging to locate before we had him in our hot little hands. Nothing like a good challenge to make you earn that smiley though, right?!
Thanks for the hide and giving us the opportunity to check this place out, we enjoyed reading the different haikus along the way - what a cool idea for a walking track

#1002 - Girls trip with Taschynz to get as many caches in Katikati area. I'm sure we looked in every possible place!! But looked again and there it was. Tftc.
Out a day of adventures with katbowersnz getting them all in Katikati. A nice walk down the park. Great spot and reasonably quick after a hunt
Summer has trickled away and autumn is upon us but the days are still beautiful and caching can continue. TFTC
Went to replace the logbook today and we couldn’t find the cache.... so we have placed a whole new container with a fresh log.
another cache we made hard for our selves to find at this time of night
log book damp and pen not working to good

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... We had planned to have another crack at the PWGT trail this weekend. And just to make things interesting, Gap had work in Taranaki...
Another lockdown is on the horizon for Auckland... The neighbours were enjoying drinks on the porch and it was difficult approaching this one in the dark. With limited torchlight, we mostly searched by feel and concentrated on the river side of the host objects. The cache was eventually found on the path side of the hosts - The logbook was wet and hard to sign. Thanks young_girls_nz and TFTC.

After spending 6 hours in the bush KGD and I decided to clear the ones in Katikati. Took some time to find as there were alot of people about. Unable to sign as it is wet tftc
Find number 7393. A day with Boges. Been for a walk in the Kaimais so we stopped to clear town on the way home. People nearby enjoying the swimming hole. The log was wet and unable to be written on. We tried but have included a photo. Thank you for the placement.
This cache container really needs to be replaced with one that is waterproof. The log was almost too wet to sign and this is in the summer. In winter it will become papier mache. The only disappointing cache in the series. TFTC
I, like others before me, looked in all the nooks and crannies before making my discovery, cheers!
This took a few minute's to find..well done young girls, you must have a good teacher
An interesting little spot to visit, especially with trees nearby for shelter. A muggle and dog arrived for a swim. Thanks for bringing us here .
We did not know this nice walk so a great idea to place cache here, thank you Girls Guide group, you're awesome
**#12,500!!**
One Eighth of the way to 100,000 finds!! Might get there by the time we are 120 years old...
Haven't been in Katikati for a cache hunt for a while and with a series of new hides this month we thought we best add the area into our New Years' Eve/Day cache trip.
Enjoyed the run down the grassy hill to this one, took longer than it should have to find but soon had it in hand. Thanks for all the new hides, look forward to the rest of them!

Seeing It was a good day for geocaching and I was in the area, I decided to pick up all the newly published caches in Katikati. Nice spot
Hardest one for the day. Few people walking around. So had to keep a eye out. Done this walk a number of times. TFTC
Well, when I set out this morning, I didn't think I'd grab a brace of firsts but it's a very nice Christmas present. I arrived at GZ thinking, 'This is a nice part of Katikati, why haven't I been here before?' but then I realised it was the Haiku walk from a different approach. The hide was good - lots of places to search - and, best of all, a clean log. TFTC & Merry Christmas. [FTF] 25/12/20 7.12AM
