I think the cache is missing if the image in the gallery is what I am looking for. Not a DNF yet.
Great spot. Lid might need a look at, your note. Otherwise all good. Thanks for bringing me here.
This and a AL were the only two caches on our list to collect at this town as we drove through. Quick find at GZ. TFTC.
We are on a 2 month trip from Portland via the Mundi Mundi Bash to a wedding in Brisbane and then out west for QOGM in Charleville.
We are in Longreach for a couple of nights. Yesterday it was 37 degrees so we didn't feel like expending too much energy although we did make a start on the AdLab. Today was a bit cooler so we set off to find the ones around town and finish off the AdLab.
We had a look for this last night and I don't know how we misssed it but today it was a straightforward find.
Thanks for contributing to the fun LC85

Thank you for the lovely letterbox hybrid welcome to Longreach!
We drove in today and are very much looking forward to exploring area.
We parked the car on the road nearby, and took a short walk down to GZ.
We dropped of a TB.

Mrs lat&long played cockatoo while I grabbed this one. I found it on the ground. Not sure if that’s where it should be, but I couldn’t see anywhere it might have come from.
Thanks for another letterbox to add to the list. Forgot my stamp so signed with what is on it. Nice day here in Longreach.
Heading towards Mt Isa we picked up a few caches along the way and this was one of them.
A quick find, caches and contents were very good as well as the co-ords.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

A quick and easy find at GZ. It’s my 2nd letterbox that I have found. TFTC

Surprised to see I was the second visitor to the letterbox today! Left behind a pathtag. Thank you for placing an unusual type.
Great Northern escape 2022 Day 90. Tully Day 4. Trains Day 4. Train from Brisbane to Longreach day 2. With the journey stating in the evening yesterday, today seemed to go on forever, and we seemed to slowly fall behind schedule the whole way. This was only an issue with getting dinner before kitchens closed at 8pm. We did arrive at 7.30pm and I did get checked in and to dinner just on 8 and they took my order. With dinner out of the way, I had the aim to get a cache today, which meant the letterbox in Longreach and some LABs.
The walk down the muddy back street was a bit eerie in the dark, and I did not see the cache until I eventually pointed my light in the correct direction. The box is suffering a bit from being wet, but the inner cache is fine, and I was happy no dog started to bark.
Thanks for the cache LC85

On my way to NT via Birdsville Queensland with a few detours for shires. TFTC.
Nice letterbox. Still holding together.

We arrived in Longreach this morning and set up camp out on the Thomson River. We needed a few things in town, so while Pa went hunting for his things I went in search of this cache. What a beautiful little letterbox. It was not a hard find at all and my name is now in the log . TFTLC LC85. Have a FP for giving us something different out here.
Super little letterbox on Cockatoo Lane. Kids enjoyed it and so did I.
Thanks for giving us something else to do in Longreach.

I walked down the lane from the bitumen road and had an eerie feeling that I was being watched as I retrieved and signed the log, thanks for the letterbox and

Hello
More to come……and maybe a photo or two or…
Am out in the field having a fun time. Currently on the move therefore unable to complete my log with the level of thought required.
Watch this space! Back soonish.

Accurate coords, it's in good condition. Found with tassie expat while exploring this interesting area. Thanks for placing it.
Looking forward to exploring Longreach and this was one of the caches we targeted and found. Thanks
The adventures geocaching has taken me on certainly has at times brought out my inner-child! Who can say no to climbing trees, jumping in puddles, balancing on logs, ducking and weaving through bush, coming face to face with wildlife, being one with nature, embarking on long walks, scampering up cliff faces and then there is all of the sand, mud and rocks you often get to play with too whilst searching for that prized little container and logbook! Geocaching has brought all sorts of experiences into my life.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this ;etterbox for our enjoyment.

Yes very wet and mushy, but roadway wasn't too bad to walk in on. This is a cute one. Tftc
After having a very pleasant night in the Council Camping area in Muttaburra which we thoroughly recommend for anyone passing through our main aim was to clear up the caches around here that we missed on our last visit before making our way to Longreach.
We pulled up close to gz and were a little bit confused as we didn't know where a regular sized cache might be, puzzle we followed the GPSr needle to gz and spotted it as we got closer surrounded by natural cammo thanks to the recent rains.
It was a fun container and we happily added our name to the log before returning everything as it was.
Thanks LC85 for the cache that bought a smile to our face.

We are going to be here for a few days as our vehicle has gone on strike and we can't get the part in due to it being Show Day. I have found a number of caches here but luckily GT37 hasn't as she is attempting a streak at the moment. One a day is going to be interesting, especially when I have already found some of them. Thanks for the cache.
We arrived in town on a bit of a wing and a prayer. Geovehicle was on strike and as it was very dull and pouring rain, made for an interesting trip. I am going to have to ration myself to one cache a day as I am hoping to keep my streak going if I can. This was the one for today. Nice quick find. Thanks for placing it for us to find.
Well yesterday sure was wet here in Longreach!!
Fortunately we had sort of indoor activities planned firstly visiting the Stockman's Hall of Fame, which I can thoroughly recommend as the show is excellent, and then the Qantas museum so the rain did not really disrupt our holiday plans.
This morning before brekky I decided it wasn't really raining and I could probably walk most of the way on the road so I would explore this part of town and see if I could get to this letterbox cache. Well it wasn't too bad, you just had to tread carefully.
At first the GPS had me overshoot the mark but then I spotted something unusual which I investigated and it was the cache. Signed the log and then walked back to the motel for breakfast. It was far enough that the mud had come off my shoes and I could go into the restaurant with all the other travels completely unaware of what I had been up to!

Longreach is currently in the way of another unseasonal weather event (We got over 200mm not long ago). If it is wet, or soft under foot, please do not attempt unless you are sure it is safe. Thanks
Day 20 of our road trip to north and central QLD and the road has opened to Longreach! We left Winton as the sun was rising and passed a lot of other travellers along the way, we weren’t the only one stuck.
We were supposed to have 2 days in Longreach but now only have a few hours so our caching target list has been drastically reduced.
It’s always good to pick up a letterbox when they’re available so we drove down the lane way and picked this one up. The outer container is damp but the inner container was fine despite all the rain. Tftc

Thank you, it's been a few days since geocaches were on our cycling route south. No flood here.
On our way to Mt Garnet for their big May Day weekend races & rodeo (and a family gathering amongst it). We had to change our course due to flooding which is what led us here. We are filling in some time today waiting for the road to Winton to reopen.
FP for this cache because I absolutely love the container!

Found it with pippahiccup on a western run up to Mt Garnett. But rain and road closures hampering us. Very saturated ground.

Quick family reunion visit to Longreach for us. Cute little postbox cache spotted by ‘J’. TNLN SL Thanks for this hide.
TFTC. Doing caches in Longreach while visiting a friend, enjoyed the letterbox cache with GeoKid66 and CacheKidKangaroo.
It’s Mega time once again!! Woo hoo!! Love these epic road trips. This time the plan is Canberra to Narromine to Cunnamulla to Blackall, a detour via Winton and then swinging back to Charters Towers before the main event in Townsville. Will see if the April rains and flooding detour us! Thanks to everyone who placed and maintained all these caches that enabled us to have a wonderful holiday! Thanks for the cache.
A surprising find down the alley. Log quickly signed and back in the car to avoid the eyes of any neighbouring muggles. TFTC.
Once I opened my eyes, this was an easy find. Thanks for the fun. Container is a bit worse for wear and might need some love but log all dry.
My husband and i are on a 8000km road trip from Brisbane to Uluru and today we were travelling from Emerald to Winton . THis cache looked interesting and once at GZ we quickly spotted the cache. What a great letterbox cache. Thankyou for all the fun
I wasn’t sure what to expect as I wandered Longreach’s streets in the dark of night. This truly is a cute cache and I’ve given it a favourite point.
We’re on a road trip of the Outback. We drove from Brisbane to the Simpson Desert via Birdsville and now are heading back home. Walked into town from our hotel out near the QANTAS museum. Time for a soft drink at a pub to cool down. TFTC

Hi there LC85.
We found your cache **"Longreach Letterbox"** today.
We're full time grey nomads, currently avoiding COVID hot spots on our way to QOGM in Cunnamulla. Today we cached around Longreach and found 6 caches in a variety of container types and sizes..
Thank you for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places to visit on our nomadic wander around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache near where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log are in good shape.
**Dropped Trackable:** "third place medal".

Thank you for this hide. I love letterbox caches. This is our 1st Day in Longreach on our outback caching trip.
Where on earth did you find such a lovely little post box. Camped nearby so nice easy find. Here for the QLD outback masters golf. TFTC
We still had a bit of time left on the car, so we decided to have a cruise around town.
Nice little cache, although the area was a bit busier than we anticipated!
+1 favourite point, TFTC.
