Decided to check the cache and yep, it was indeed in need of maintenance. Have swapped it now with a more suitable container and new log and pencil. Also a couple of swaps.
What is it about Westport and being tall!!! Second cache today I've been unable to reach. Lovely tree tho...
Orientated ourselves and off we go. Managed to reach easy enough at least not many people out in this weather . Thanks for the cache
Found on a five day geocaching road trip to the Nelson, Buller, and West Coast regions. We traveled many kms, by car bike and by foot and found many great caches and explored many areas. Thanks to the various CO for the caches sites we visited that made our trip so great. Thank for the caches.
On a Week road trip to Nelson,Buller and Greymouth. lots of driving and walking, plus biking, lots of great caches many thank to all the CO"s - Bitsprayer
Super quick find, as it had slipped from its hiding place. Popped it back nice and tidy. Tftc
As suggested, not for short people. Rather visible but a good place on our walk back to YHA after visiting a friend at O'Conor home. A nice warm day now with little wind.

25/01/2023 First geo cache we found! Kids love it! Thank you! Great way to spend time together.
Heading on a wee family summers holiday.
Reefton done, now time for a few nights in Carters Beach.
Came out for a mornings Bike ride with MrsTG before our planned adventure up to Denniston. Finding every 2nd one in the Westport direction, returning will find the skipped ones...
Our "turn around" point on our bike. Time to head back to Carters beach and try and collect all the skipped ones. Bit of a stretch but not toooo bad. Some of us are built taller than others

As we approached on our bikes, we saw the mower man doing his rounds on the otherside of the path. We decided to head for a tree before checking how far away we were. Imagine our delight at seeing we were at GZ and stopped right under the cache. Log signed, cache replaced as found and a bit more camo placed on top. tftc

Came from under the bridge and soon spotted the tree I was looking for. Cache easily located and replaced with care. Thanks
A medical emergency meant that we were not in Westport to do the necessary maintenance until now. Apologies for any inconvenience.
This was my last day in Westport before heading back to Richmond, so I had to make it pay. This one was on my list, so I had better get it before I do anything else. TFTC.
Our newphew Fyfe's first cache find. Found on a warm, sunny still autumn day on our last day of our Easter trip away. TFTC
A walk thru the domain to get the caches in here.
Was a bit worried when I saw the tree as was not sure if I would be able to reach. Luckily I was just tall enough. Log nice and dry. TFTC

I had been to the Omau Section - Cape Foulwind to Tauranga Bay of the Kawatiri Coastal Trail picking up some first to finds and now I was going to fill in a couple of hours in Westport before heading for home.
This cache has been published since we were last in the area. I parked nearby and wandered over to the tree, the cache was very obvious as I approached and luckily I have the right attributes to be able to reach it easily.
I signed the log and returned it as I found it.
Thanks for placing (and replacing) this cache and thank you for the smiley
I apologise if the CO gets this log two times, for some weird reason the logging of this cache was not recognised on reach the peaks souvenir challenge, so I am trying to log it again to see if this makes a difference.

Checked on this cache today and found it gone! Again! So we have replaced it. Placed a couple of stones on top. Hopefully this one survives more than a couple of weeks.
A dnf for me. Being only 5ft and almost killing myself trying to get access. Not worth it.
I returned a couple of days later with my bike and used that to stand on to get better access but still could not find a cache.

Enjoyed a nice family walk around here with several caches and some awesome swings. Thanks for the effort that goes into placing and maintaining a cache.
Checked up on the cache and found it gone! Muggled! So have now replaced the cache so all should be good.
When we checked this cache we found that it had been muggled. We have now replaced it with a camo tin containing a logbook and a couple of swaps. Happy geocaching
Day 10 of three weeks winter motorhoming in the upper half of the South Island. Enjoyed cycling on the trails on the outskirts of Westport today and picked up a few caches. Great day for it! Unfortunately I bombed out on this one. Spent several minutes searching for it. Even climbed up on my bike to give me further reach! Where on earth it is is beyond me, perhaps literally!
Collecting some caches in and around the Domain whilst we had our morning coffee.
A quick find.
