Our last attempt for the day, but alas the only reward was the magnificent view. Made the trek up the stairs and searched for quite a while before it started to get dark and we gave up. Given that no-one has found this cache this year, perhaps a check to see if it is still there is in order.
thanks anyway, for showing us the view.

did not find the cache, i just popped over for a quick look. i thought local knowlage would help but i was wrong. by the way if you feel that your in need of some food there is a great (and i mean great) burger shop, but they tend to run out of food so get in at lunchtime. its located in a marina right next to the bridge. here are the cood's (too lazy to get the address so i fired up google earth)
33°48'15.47"S
151°14'44.80"E
its about 300 meters from the cache's genaral area.

No luck with this one but the view was worth the trip. A muggle caught us under the stairs and I am sure he thought we were strange. He was too puffed to talk and we couldn't quickly think of a good reason why we were there so not much was said.
With limited time and poor weather we were unable to find this one. Searched for about 15 minutes. We found an empty zip loc bag in the bushes - no other sign of a muggled cache though.
We plan on returning to try again.

took a detour from the Geocache mystery tour to nab this cache. i convinced pyro to park at the bottom rather than the top.... BAD idea, the 70M treck UP to the cache was hard work, and after searching for some time we had given up until i got a good lock on a GZ so i decided to have one last look before we headed off. and as ive done so many times in the past. i came up trumps. a cool little cache with an AMAZING view
Well me and my better half spent about 40 minutes looking for this one.. I think your camo is beyond us as we tried everything.
It is a shame there is so much litter down there!
edit: went back.. still cant find it!! The stairs look like they where recently painted (paint on leaves and what not).. is it possible the cache has been removed / moved / lost?
We looked around until the mossies got fierce..

GPS was fine, the problem was on the other end. Good camouflage, and a great view.
Took: Ball, Left: Finger Monster
Thanks, Robmc.

First of the day for Dernel and I. Great camoflage! Took a while to find it as gps's were giving some funny readings. Nice spot. TNLNSL.
Good one, fairly easy to find and the camouflage job is tops, the view is good too. TN L 20 centimes.
Some really excellent views, makes you wonder what the real estate is worth in the area???...didn’t really take to long to find this one, again we had to dodge a few spiders but that’s becoming the norm for us at the moment....cheers Urban Bear
Yep, definately a good lokking cache, nice work. Took a bit to find but we did with much delight. SL and off we went. Nice work!!!
This has got to be THE BEST work with camouflage that I have seen in my short geocaching history and an extremely devious hide!!!! Congrats Urban Bear.
Others will no doubt hate me when I say that I found it within 1 minute of looking.
TNLN. Cheers ChickDeputy. xxx

Back again for a second try
With three geokidies I have to ask why
Up they sat on high ground
Whilst poor old dad had a look around
With hopes not very high
When I found it you can imagine the cry
You bloody beauty, hooray and whamo
Would you check out this container and its camo
Swapped a racing car for a seal
Back home to a nice well earned hot meal

I honestly do not know how long we spent here looking, not wanting to give anything away, but if I had trusted my GZ, I would have had this one much quicker.
I resorted to phone a friend for a clue as it was getting rather dark and other people were starting to turn up to watch the fireworks with us.
Once we had it and signed the log, there were too many people to risk putting it back. So, we settled in to watch the fireworks at 9pm. We got a reasonable view of the show and the kids reckon it was a great end to a busy day.
Once everyone had left, we placed it back and headed home!
Our final cache for 2004!
HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM TEAM WEBGUY!!

Found it with Shaggys and BigMickB after a short time searching. I just loved the camoflauge work done for this location.
A fantastic one from this one and a sneakly hidden spot. Well done. Found with BigMickB and Abuseme
Now this is what I love about geocaching. Finding yourself in places with a view like we had at GZ. That was just tops! I loved the camoflauge of the container too. Great work Urban bear.
After escorting a group of 30 (out of 200) high powered computer company execs (on a company sponsored reward trip to downunder) from Clontarf to Tania Park, I had to give this another go. Couldn't find it after our geo-picnic (when everyone else did!) you wonder how you could miss it after you have found it! Great camo job and exectly where GZ is. TNLN Thanks to Urban Bear.
At last!
I have had five or six goes at this "easy" cache.
Lizzie has helped sometimes. Others on my own. Been bailed up by the muggle next door. If I had found it the first time we looked, it would have been our second.
Anyway I was visiting Lizzie at her town residence during term break when she had to go out with Mistress Jan. Never one to waste a chance, I decided to have one more crack at it. Ground zero settled down on the same stump as usual. I began to quarter the area around it, leaving no stone, twig, leaf or litter unturned. (Yes its all back the way it was). Those who know the area, will understand this was a herculean task.
Success at last about 3 metres from my zero point, and in clear view once spotted.
Congratulations on an excellent camouflage job. Urban bear.

What a great view! Had a little trouble finding this cache in the dark, took about 15mins. Took stickers left seal. Thanks Urban Bear, if it hadn't been for your cache, I would never had gone to this spectacular view site.

Almost every time I go past 'that bridge' I look up and think how nice it must be to live on that ridge with such a great view....Not any more. The traffic noise up there is just not worth the views. Neither are the prices...This one had me fooled for a while (I fool easy). But Noddy never gives up. It was so well hidden...It should have been easier....You will understand when you find it. Trust the satelites. Great views, great noise and great cache. tks Urban Bear.
Well hidden. As all before me, good work on the camouflage. Nice vista.
Took water baloons and left Squirting Duck and Nail clippers. Lord Grumble Bum TB certainly wasn't going to fit in this cache either.

Found it fairly easy but the paintjob is pretty good!
Took: Dangerous explosives (party popper)
Left: my 2 cents... (US$0.02)

I found it without anyone else seeing me...
I almost managed to log it and put it back, but SWAG Jord caught me...

First of 4 today, as part of a day walk with other members of Team SWAG (Spit-Manly). With so many of us combing the hillside, the cache couldn't remain hidden for too long.
With 5 Garmins pointing the way, it was only a matter of time...
SWAG aft found the well camouflaged stash.
SWAG aft found the well camouflaged stash.
A quick detour before walking from The Spit to Manly beach with the SWAG Lads, took a little bit of searching, but nothing too drasti. Managed to not feel too bad about caching on Valentines day.
Found on 2nd attempt as previous day to many people around.Took a little bit of searching and just about to give up when came upon it. Left horse took snake
Splendid view - and a cache disguise worthy of Holmes himself. You put a lot of work into this one, Urban Bear. Took a little hunting up & down the canyon, but in the end logic prevailed. Took party popper; left a Fender plectrum. Young Wiggins took the picture.

What does a wombat do when he is in Brookvale with an hour to kill? He rings Big Mick B to get the Co-ords for PanoVista.
Great hiding spot and great cache camoflage. With all the clearing around I thought it might be gone but luckily not. Fantastic views as well.
Took nothing left nothing.
Thanks Urban Bear for a fun cache.

Great views. We tried to find this one before tackling the Manly Walk. This site is really a great candidate for the Cache In Trash Out program... we didn't find it, but then there was so much junk down there (soggy papers, old Chinese food containers, plastic bottles etc) that we were actually a bit put off hunting through that mess trying to find it.
Thought we would try finding this one as it's in the local area. Had a feeling we would find this one, but not to be. Found the vicinity, knew we were very warm and then.. co-ordinates matched perfectly. Gee, that's a good feeling. Had a very decent look around, lots of rubbish in the area, and looked like that particular spot has been recently bulldozed by an overzealous person. Nice warm August day, all you can do, is admire the million dollar views and go home with the knowledge that you've done your best and you'll live to cache for another day. As other people may have noted, maybe the camoflauge is that good, that it is near impossible to uncover, but I think some pixies may have run off with the stash. Shame, because it's such a great location.
First for the day , did this on the way to the NY Picnic. #99

Ditto Eco team, we couldn't find this one. We will however return now that we are armed with further intelligence

Found by Mary & David at 1705. This cache was so close to the Picnic site today that we had to visit on our way out. In between avoiding the gaze of nearby residents and a mountain biker carrying his mount up the hill, we found the cache more quickly than we had expected. Took a snake and left another snake, then took in the superb vista below. Many thanks to Urban Bear.
Memories of our day at THE PICNIC>>> had trouble finding those WPs as well!!! Found the steps, but didn't realise the container was maybe so well camouflaged it was obvious!!
May try again one day.
Thanks Urban Bear.

nice work urbn bear.

It was hard to not draw attention to myself because there was a guy gardening and builders on a nearby roof (i managed to not look too suss in the end thou)

Looked for this one a couple of days ago and no luck. I assumed that it must have gone missing. After the reading the last few posts I knew that I was wrong. Set out again and after a few minutes came up with the goods. Interesting container.

Searched for this one at 3:30 this morning in a not so coherent state with no luck.
Returned later in the afternoon armed with daylight and found it after 10 minutes.
Took lizard and left an ice scraper (for car windscreen)

No luck with this one.
Our GPS was useless all day today, so maybe we weren't at the right GZ which was half way down the wooden steps just back from the light pole.
We searched the obvious places to no avail.
Will try again next time in the area.
Stood on top of it, looked down and there it was at my feet.
Swapped small koala with the virus antidote from 12 monkeys.
Good view, nice cache container.

We found the ferry I went to school on tied up to a wharf at the spit. The last we heard of it, it was down Tassie. Looks like some people use the drain as an urban canyon, going by the slings rigged up around the place. All of which where rotted and this gives you an idea of the water quality.
We did not see Leek’s sunglasses near the cache site.

Found this one after waiting a while for the pool maintenance man to finish his work... A great view... Shame about the rubbish... Great camouflage...
Good one Urban Bear...
p.s. I think I lost my sunglasses here, so if anyone finds them, I'd love to get them back by cache mail...

Well this one was interesting. GPS was telling me it was in the drain. But after searching and searching I nearly gave up. Then I chose to phone a friend (the audience being made up of birds and some people smoking interesting smelling tobacco) And I was able to find the cache without too many problems.
Well camoflaged guys!!!
Nothing in my swap bag would fit. So I just logged the vist.
THanks very much guys.

After finding the cache today it shed some light on why we were unable to find it on our last night time raid. The darkness hid the cache too well. Today in broad daylight everything was much easier. Swapped clippers for a chook . Well camoflagued Urban Bear.
Rex and Nicci of Team Phanargh found this one after a morning swim and brunch on the Corso at Manly.
We had intended on going out to North Head to log the two Two Dogs caches out there but the Park is closed due to extreme fire danger. So we grabbed this one on the way home. While looking for this one we noticed a three legged Blue Tongue Lizard and when we went over for a closer look he was sitting right next to the cache, without his help it would of taken us longer to find for sure.
Rex Flymo
PS Took a lizard seeing as how he reminded us of the guy that helped find the cache, left reflective hand.

What a great view, found this one with no problems but had to wait around to put it back because of a guy working in his backyard that could see me. Will post photos when processed.
Took Frog Left Lizard.

The north shore is crawling with caches. This was my 5th for the day. A tricky little find and well camouflaged. Swapped a snake for a party popper and some stickers. Then hung around and enjoyed the view.... Thanks Urban Bear
With the correct datum, the cache was much easier to find this time. Dropped in with Kitten Pie on our way home from the Basin.
Loved the camouflage.
Took a frog, left some baby nail clippers in case the other critters wanted to groom themselves in their little hidey hole.
Used up all 400Mb of my camera memory already, so no photos ('twas overcast anyway).

Just follow the street names to find this one!! We were very impressed with the cache container, although it looks like it's been infested with all manner of critter (hence no swaps).
Gratitude to Urban Bear

Jumped at this one only to find rubbish, weeds, more rubbish and more weeds. Leave me out of this area. I am sure there are far better places to hide caches than this. What a mess. Get the area cleaned up and I might come back.
2 words, wrong datum (on my part)
Entered into Oziexp and didn't notice that it remembered the datum from the last point I put in (from another source). By the time I'd uploaded the WP and gone there sans printout, it was too late. I snooped around a little trying to get closer to a point that resembled the photo, but gave up in vain.
Mark my words ... I'll be back.
