Rats! Missed seeing the steam train by several days it seems. A quiet little corner, perfect for a cache, thank you.
Staying for a couple of nights at the Cossie Club in our motorhome. Went off to explore and found a cache!! Good camo. TFTC
Put this cache back in its correct spot today, he was quite a few metres from where it should have been,Cachers please tuck caches back where and how you find them, with some cover,
Spent a while looking for this one. Found it laying out in the open grass on my walk back to the car. I've placed it near the right corner post out of sight, but it will need to be moved to it's actual hiding spot
After spending the day in Awhitu Regional park checking out the condition of our caches, we headed back down to Waiuku for a spot of caching and to grab some dinner as we had a carer for junior cacher for the day......
TFTC.

Quick find after a small jog to GZ across the reserve and round the corner.
Soon spotted something poking its head out at me.
Sign and replace without incident!

Rats! Quickly found but glad I had someone else to pull it out, still didn't fancy touching the thing tftc
Found it during the 100 year Glenbrook train celebration in Waiuku. Great day for it as even though there were plenty of muggles around ppl just thought I was getting a better view of the trains.
Found today with CrazyKea and my partner, introduced her to what geocaching is all about. Haven't done any for a while so good to get back into it. TFTC
We hatched a plan with Tufty to visit Waiuku for the day to collect as many caches as we could before the rains came down. After doing the caches on the coastal walks we bought lunch then decided to find half a dozen more, despite the now showery weather.
Wandered in the rain to make the find of this one, and had a chuckle once at GZ. Adding a Favourite point here. Thanks for the fun cache.

Kiwicouple and I had planned for today that we would try and sign off as many of the Waiuku caches as we could. I was limited to smallish walks as I was trying to 'run in' my new replacement knee. So we brought two vehicles out with the idea of placing one at each end of the walks. This did prove very successful.
There was not a very aromatic aroma here.
Cheers for the cache.

Went to put the new cache in this morning & to watch the first Steam train of Easter weekend come in, only to find the original cache back there sitting on ground in plain site?,
so tucked it away where it should be,
where has it been all this time, and log still in it!, the mystery?,
Cache is all go again, sorry for delay,

Sorry, I was on a mission a few weeks ago up with the birds to replace another cache, check others and replace this, only when I nearly got there realized the log sheet was not in it?,
Then remembered ( Flash back) weeks ago I took log out of it for another cache, sigh,
so will be back sometime this week,

Loved the sculpture/art thing here. Nice to have caches nearby stuff like this. When I was in the USA, we did 52 virtual caches in about a week, and mostly they had sculptures like this and all sorts of themes going on. It was fantastic!
But today, Im assuming I'm hunting for rats, never know what I'm going to get up to when I cache randomly...lol. No problem with this hide flossy, good one.

We initially ended up on the wrong side of the water but were pleased we did as it's a nice quiet spot, with a lot of ducks.
The ducks seemed to know about the cache as they all were looking over at where we needed to be so we thanked them and made our way to GZ, which was another nice quiet spot.
Although we had an idea of what we might be looking for it still gave us a brief shock as it was very realistic. We don't think this will get muggled in a hurry.
Nice hide, a favourite point from us. Thanks flossy63

Saw there was quite a number of caches in the area so we decided to stop by. First of our time here in Waiuku
out with agazo and alunb today, signed log as ana, live ones no, this one or half one is ok, tftc
I had nice afternoon in Waiuku today. My caching stroll was put on hold two times because of rain showers. But still enjoyed it so much as it was summer rain!
Thanks for new placements in here!
I had to wait in my car a bit for rain to pass.
Then I went to grab it.
Another nice hide!

On a girls roadtrip to Waiuku with Supernannny, Nette1234 and Merlot58. We admired the cute little station across the water as we approached gz and thought that could be a really cool place for a cache. Once at gz we found the cache in the first place we looked. Another well themed cache in this series. TFTC
I headed to Waiuku with Supernanny, Nette1234 and Jag50 for a girls' day out caching. A cute little station across the way and the cache was found in the first place checked
First find for me in 2021. The weather was supposed to be intermittent showers, but they were pretty constant. I just managed to get this one between showers. TFTC.
Find number 7193. My daughter who lives in Waiuku is currently walking the Te Araroa and was arriving in Takanini today. So I had arranged to come north and give her a ride home for the night. This notification came while I was waiting to meet her so it was some time before we actually got to it. No logs but still unsure of FTF. Found and saw blank log. Signed and returned. Just as I did so the train whistle went off. It was not the steam train but a diesel engine but it was departing. Rats I missed it. Pleased to finish the year with a {FTF}. Thank you for the placement.
Sorry for relogging but added a photo twice and when I thought I was deleting the photo I actually deleted my log. Hopefully this time i have got it right
