Today, I was joined by Seffnjarah on a caching run around the northside, collecting interesting puzzles and the odd higher DT cache here and there. This long solved puzzle and a few others nearby were next up. We parked in an appropriate spot and then walked a nice loop along the path, with a bit of bush bashing and creek hopping as needed, to collect this group of nearby caches. Many thanks Willis007Pete#8,069

We solved these drum puzzles a while ago, so today we are on the hunt to find a few to get our geo art back in place. Geocaching today with Sniggypop and Legend and taking the geodoggy along for some exercise. It's a glorious day to be out and about. Find 11 for today.

Out today with Legend and ILTW doing the drum. TFTC.

Another drum bear another tether point. Feels like I've searched most of the tree branches in Brisbane on my quest to beat all the drums.

12-Apr-24
After an early morning start at an event to meet some local cachers including the CO of this series with alphag_25, we decided to try and complete the Drum Beat art series which we had solved some time ago. Helping to fill some DT grid spaces as well. TFTC

22-Dec-23
My first day of Xmas holidays and had a bunch of errands to run including dropping the car off for a service. So brought the trusty geocycle along for a morning of geos. Ive had a few of the Drum Beat series solved for a while so it was a good day to locate a few more in between errands. TFTC

19-Dec-23
Moment of panic when I dropped the lid and couldn't find it! This cache wasnice and dry. TFTC

23-Nov-23
With the GPS very unsettled in this area I resorted to just looking around, up and down until finally spotting the cache . All good. TFTC

A puzzle that I solved more than 2.5 years ago on 30/03/2021. I enjoyed these audio listening puzzles, and I did need a bit of help from my "magic" friend to deduce the song and Drummer.I must feel like a broken record with my thinking that this *Drum Beat* was probably my last one to find, however I think I have a few miscellaneous series geocaches scattered around, amusing my evenings to tease me out of home. This was my final geocache find before my drive home, and thankfully, it was a quick find; The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks [Willis007](https://coord.info/PR70EP3) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. ---------- This afternoon, I caught up with [Laighside Legends](https://coord.info/PR3BCW0) to find a few geocaches in the Chermside West - McDowall area. I revisited a reserve that I had walked a couple of times before, and then jogged around the tracks of Cabbage Tree Creek, before returning home to assist with dinner.

08-Sep-23
I spent a lot of time with this one. Eventually found it but I must have missed it several times walking around. TFTC and the puzzle.

18-Jun-23
I had only two of the Drum Beat series left to find (solved last year) and now that the weather was cooler, it was time to find them with my friend sausage3.
After a short walk, the cache was quickly spotted and signed. Tftc

Had the opportunity to tick off a couple more of the drum eat series this morning. This was the second attempted today.
I didn’t have any trouble with this puzzle. Pretty sure no-one would have trouble with this puzzle.
After parking I found one cache, then moved on to this one. Ducked into the bush when I was about 30m away. I did walk around a little at the 10m mark, but eventually I spied the cache container.
Signed the log sheet as AWT? All good with the cache here. And returned as found. Back to the car and onto the next.
Thanks very much for the cache and the series Willis007. Cheers

24-Jan-23
This was the first of our planned finds this afternoon, clearing a few Drum Beats from my list.

Being a child of the '80's this was an easy musical pick for me, although I didn't know the specifics of the drummer. That information discovered, the puzzle was solved. Interestingly (or not) this name came up a few times in this puzzle series.

Cache was found by Shazzar66, as she usually finds before me.

Back in the car and off to another area that was not bike friendly. Stopped for this one the way.

Nice quick find. This one could use some TLC. I don't think it is quite where it should be, and I am not sure how much longer the soggy log will last.

24-Oct-22
Thanks for the puzzle and cache Willis007. I solved these over the last few weeks in preparation for my trip here to Brisbane. I targeted a couple of these tonight, mixed bag for me, looking forward to more of them as the week progresses.

12/10/2022 Find #5543
My day off started with me chasing an FTF before heading to immerse myself in cache maintenance - one particular cache in question was much more involved than anticipated in the end.
With that done I headed home but decided I should still go for a brisk walk, and today I remembered a pen before leaving the house, with the intention of knocking off another of the drum series while out and about.
I opted for this one, as it wasn’t too far on my travels. However I don’t know what I did today but my muscles in my back and stomach were starting to regret my choices, and by the time I reached the cache I was not looking forward to the return journey. A quick dash in and I made an instant find - not particularly hidden how I would have expected it but it does seem snug in its spot.
Then it was time for the harrowing return, as quickly as I could manage. Now time to put my feet up for half hour before having to drag myself into the kitchen to make dinner.
Thanks for the cache Willis007.

08-Oct-22
Walk with the geopuppers and hubby. Found laying on the ground without issue. Popped back into a safe place. TFTC.

16-Jun-22
As I was passing by on my way to another cache I thought I would try to turn this sad little blue face around. GPS was bouncing around & my skills haven’t improved since my last visit 10 months ago. It will still haunt me as a sad blue face.

16-Mar-22
An eastern water dragon lives nearby. Took me a while to see the cache. TftC.

11-Feb-22
Found after an early knock from work. Slowly picking up solved caches that form part of this series.

Found in good condition

10-Feb-22
I came here yesterday and there were council muggle workers right at GZ spraying. Today the coast was clear and once at GZ i did a few circles before i spotted the cache. Thanks again for a fun puzzle and for placing this geo art for us to enjoy

22-Jan-22
After a great morning with good company, there was still time left in the day to grab some more of the drum series.
I parked nearby and headed into the bush and did a few circles before I spotted. I had to giggle because at one point, I was right underneath it!

Had some time to spare this morning but needed to hang around this area so what to do? Well, not one to beat my own drum (so to speak) but having these puzzles solved and on my radar made for an excellent morning's entertainment.

Thanks Willis007 for entertaining me at this location.
Cool *{Overall find #10146}* Cool

28-Oct-21
With the Elbrus souvenir opportunity ending soon I decided to pick up a few more solved puzzles until it was far too hot to continue caching. A nice cool respite from the hot sun. TFTC

30-Sep-21
Another beat instantly recognised.
Had a bit of time before having to pick up my daughter from work so was hoping to grab the last 2 drums I have out this way. Pulled up at GZ and realised I’d been here before with no luck. Sigh. In I went again and again my phone wanted me here then there then back over there. I was looking high I was looking low and was thinking that I might have to log a DNF here when finally I spied it.

The locals were out taking to their trees with a chainsaw this morning, but as NurseyJulie and I mosied along the path toward GZ, we were just out of sight when we headed into the greenery. [^] A short walk in the bush and the container was easily spotted on approach.

Cheers Willis007.

26-Sep-21
Parked up nice and close to this one. Into the trees we went again and spotted it tethered to the tree as described. TFTC

30-Aug-21

Out with geofriends (Snickersallan, RoddyC, hatzofff, GS1947 and Imbunda) again today to finish off finding the Drumbeat Series as well as other caches along the way.

After arriving at GZ, I realised we needed to be patient and scan all the trees nearby for a tricky little cache. (20 mins at another similar hide, I was wiser this time). Finally spied this cache, everyone breathed a sigh of relief.
SL then returned as found.

Third trip up to finish the beaut Drum geoart series off with patrol14, Imbunda, hatzofff, grannysmith1947 and RoddyC. Enjoyed venturing into so many different suburbs during our visits, some for the very first time.
This cache blended in very well to its surrounds, nice hide, thanks CO.

Out with krcamber, swearah and Stephyy for day 2 of grabbing some drums.
We have been collectively solving these ones and today is the day to put some smileys on the map.
We were doing circles for a while before swearah claimed the find, good spotting mate that one blends in well.

Thanks for the puzzle and cache, Willis007

22-Aug-21
Out with Jodsta83, Stephyy and Swearah doing some drumming today and this is my 2000th find! A worthy hide, it took all of our 8 eyes waaayyy to long a to find this very well hidden cache! Finally Swearah spotted the sneaky bugger! TFTPC!

22-Aug-21
Our last Drum Beat for the day and it’s been another great day.

Krcamber, jodsta83, Stephyy and I split up at GZ and expanded our search. I circled back to the starting point and finally spotted it. Oh wow - that blends in VERY well!

This marks Krcamber’s 2000th find!

Thanks for the puzzle and cache, Willis007

22-Aug-21
Another day out with swearah, jodsta83 and Krcamber collecting solved drum puzzles.

After a first DNF for the day I’m glad this wasn’t with swearah looking at just the correct spot. Did Blend in with its area.

Thanks for the cache

22-Aug-21
I generally do well with the Drum Beat tethered to tree caches as they are at a height I can reach. Unfortunately today I am at a loss finding this one

20-Aug-21
Found it
Excellent camouflage ??

10-Aug-21
I was hoping this would be a quick and easy find. There is a large group of council workers not far away.
I parked a little up the road and went to the most likely spot. Spied a trail leading me in and soon had the well camoflagued cache in hand.
The logbook has been wet at some stage but is still OK.
Added my name, returned and collected another smile.
I think this is #7 for the day.

18-Jul-21
Out today with Selva Girls to pick up the last of the Drum Beat. Plenty of walking, a bit of tree climbing and some tree fishing. There were some good hides along the way and some rather sneaky ones.
Sorry for the generic log.

First find in this drum s series today. As we are not all that good at puzzles this one may take a while to complete the series. That said, TFTC from the inspectorrexteam.

04-Jul-21
Out caching with Muggle65 and The Green Geckos grabbing more of the Drum geoart. After logging all these. That should be the last one. Another geoart finish.
I did love that series with solving and finding.

Today count was 14 finds, the breakdown is multi, traditional and 12 mystery.

Sorry for the generic log

Muggle65 and l chose this as our spot to meet up with Brislions. We arrived a few minutes early and started looking and looking and looking. This took us way too long to find. But finally there she was. Very well camouflaged. Thank you for this really fun series

25-Jun-21
Surely one of the most famous beats in recent decades: I was still glad to get it right.
Continuing my journey with a perfect find record, I really struggled here. After a pretty good ten minutes, I seriously wondered if it would be DNF time as other logs didn’t give me much.
At last, I headed in a slightly different direction and the cache appeared as if by magic. Tough one!
Log is just a little damp but should be OK for a while. TFTC and challenging hide.

17-Jun-21
out and about today such a beautiful area thanks for bringing us here TFTC

11-Jun-21
The second to the last one in this lovely series. This one took awhile to find. I broke the branch where it was attached while trying to open the cache but it was dead anyway. Replaced it in a more alive branch, still at gz.

Thanks for the cache and taking us here Willis007.

11-Jun-21
After our coffee break, we had parked not too far from GZ and went in for a short walk. We searched for a few minutes before this one finally revealed itself.
This was another puzzle that we found our way into fairly quickly. We love that this series has highlighted some of the great drummers whose work we have admired over many years.
Thanks Willis007. Such great puzzles and geo art.

Maintenance visit today, this one is still hiding in its spot. A big thank you to [@Simber15](http://coord.info/PRQRYTE) for the amazing camo paint on these caches, I have problems finding my own caches Smile
Enjoy!

Found at 3:21 PM GAFF3.
We spent ages trying to locate this cache on 19 April and today we were back to finish off the 5 that we didn't find or didn't want to do because we were stuffed.
After a message from the CO as to why we didn't finish the series, we made a plan to revisit the area on our way home after having a fantastic time with friends up at Gympie and Kandanga and the couple of events that were there - gosh we met up with so many new friends during that time!
Anyway - back to the cache and this time I walked straight into the bush and straight to GZ and there it was Surprised Now WTH is going on here - are we amateurs or what Surprised
Thanks Willis007

29-Apr-21
Continuing on this wonderful puzzle trail. Thanks Willis007 for arranging and hiding Smile this one sure did blend in well we walked around till we were able to spot it

22-Apr-21
Stopped in here on the way home to find the cache after solving the puzzle when it was first released. Walk around searching for a bit before something caught my eye. That blended in well. Log is damp but still signable. Thanks Willis007. I will get around to finding the whole series one day.

21-Apr-21
Checked this one this morning after a couple of DNFs. Still there waiting to be found

A team effort to solve all the caches in this series in preparation for burgo78 visiting the big smoke.
Loaded the bikes this morning and set out to log the series by car and bike.
Met some friendly muggles, saw wallabies and a turtle, rode bikes in the mud, and through fast-flowing creeks.
Easy tree climbs and some hard-to-find ones.
Wet feet and shoes all day due to plenty of water in many parks.
The Kedron brook was flowing quickly, would have been an adrenaline-packed paddle today.

Thank you Willis007 for this series and my apologies for the copy-paste logs

Out with Karicka targeting the Drums series today. On the bikes for most and the car for the rest.

A few circles required before it was spotted a little higher than expected.
Logs signed as BK.

Thanks Willis007 for creating and placing this for us to enjoy.

04-Apr-21
Searched for ages but no luck unfortunately...

02-Apr-21
After looking around for quite some time we reached for the hint. It was our nemesis hint and one that had taken us a long time to find earlier in the day. Once again we found ourselves doing the doce-do around all the trees.

Judging by our last “attached” hunt we had to assume the cache was still in place and we just had to grind out the win. It wasn’t pretty football but the win is now in the record books and on the back page of yesterday’s paper which is today’s cat litter lining.

We stayed with it and when I found it I told my Mrs Woodyrothwell that the orange colouring makes it blend in well with its surrounding. My wife then told me I was a colour-blind idiot and that leaves are green. tftc

21-Mar-21
After a morning to woop woop and back, the weather held off which signaled an opportunity to catch a few more drummers. Picking up the next closest to home, tried one parking area but my jalopy got turned around by the estate's security as it wasn't a fancy name brand nor did it cost over $50k.

Finding a parking spot in a lot more civilised area on the other side of the creek, only had a short walk to this one. Avoiding the ground worshiper resplendent on a towel on wet ground in a trance like state, Gcoven spotted this nose bleed hide. Thanks Willis007 for an interesting series.

21-Mar-21
Walked along the path then began a little bushbash but needed to be extra quiet. Not because we were hunting rabbits! A lady was meditating on a towel inside the grove! I think we managed not to disturb her zen. Tftc

03-Mar-21
The rain was threatening but we didn’t let that stop us get our walk in today. This is a new path for us to explore so thanks for placing this here to give us a reason to come. Cache was found after a bit of a hunt.TFTC Willis007

A quick stop in after work. King Lizard gave up due to the mozzies but I continued my search and was rewarded with the find.

01-Mar-21
This morning Team Tyrrell and I went for a bike ride to collect more of the new drum series. We had good fun and made good progress finding the caches.

Thanks for this enjoyable series and the variety of puzzles and hides!

01-Mar-21
Out and about again with Georode to finish off the drum series. This will be our 2nd day on the geo bikes covering just over 40 km's today ( 80km in total over 2 days of cycling from home.)

I have enjoyed the challenge of solving the various puzzles thrown up by Willis007. Most of them i was able to punch my way through by myself, however a few i needed a kick in the right direction.

Today we had the relevant TOTT to collect the harder to reach caches. I feel like i pushed my way through a hundred spider webs whilst crawling in and around the trees and i must have been bitten at least 10 times by the mozzies but i loved it.

Tanks Lisa for a great series and and extra big thanks for putting it so close to my home Smile
Love your work.

I had picked this song straight away. Such an iconic tune.

I headed into the search area and wandered in circles around my GZ I had widened to 6m and decided to reverse my direction and spotted the cache straight away.

15-Feb-21
After navigating through the grassy bit on the edge, we ended up in some relatively open bushland with beautiful dappled sunlight on the leaves. A little bit of scanning at various heights and I eventually spotted the little cache. A team effort helped reach it and off we went again.

Out for a Caching Coffee Cycle with LaKedi, IolantheK, DisSister and Mrs Slow Puncture. We had planned a nice little loop to bang a few Drums along the way, check out the local bike paths and bushland and indulge in caffeine and cakes along the way and then do a round of tree fishing to finish off the days activities.

Now after this cache it was time to explore a back street into the bush land and seek to play a few different drums.

Monday. A group meet up at the Downfall Creek Bushland Centre of LaKedi, Ruzzelz, IolantheK, DisSister and Mrs Slow Puncture at 7am - turned out we rode for 5 hours today gathering some of the Drum caches that we targeted. Spotted this one a bit higher than we were expecting but it was spotted quickly.

This was the 8th of 21 caches found on this outing.

Thanks ***Willis007*** for showing us this place Razz

So many solved puzzles calling to us, even in our sleep, that here we are again for Day 3 collecting Drum Beats & smilies.
We haven't had a really good geoart in a while and this one is certainly getting us back in the game!
Kudos to Willis007 for the effort put in.
#8 of 25 caches found today. Smile

Mrs VC's quick solves on these audio files was a definite bonus for team Vegan Cachers Smile
The absence of muggles in the area surrounding GZ made it easy to search and the cache was quickly located.
Made our mark and replaced as found.

I would love to say this was a quick find, but it wasn’t... I went round and round... my GPS really liked a particular feature, but of course the cache wasn’t there... infact I think I walked right “past” it following the GPS...

Oh and even though I’m boycotting Dr Google I may have used it on occasion and I’ve just gotten my first email selling me a drum kit... tftc Willis007...

WOW, I was just about to jump in a boat and the phone goes ballistic, new caches being published and it just didn’t stop. Oh the pain! I’m heading in the wrong direction for the next 6 hours. I got home and started solving puzzles and to my surprise there were still a lot to be collected and only a few of the FTF’s gone. I concentrated on a few and went with the notion that I may just get a couple from the series. I spent the night solving puzzles and made a list ready for my assault on tomorrow’s caches.

What a great little series of the caches, I found there was good variety of hides and types of containers, all required a little look around before I could make the find. Thank you for this urban geoart series, I had a good time racing and chasing caches today.

A nice puzzle and an easy find today, with log signed and cache replaced as found I was off to my next target cache.

T-Tech and I spent some time this morning solving six caches from this new geoart. This one was sorted very quickly as we both recognised it straight away, being fans from long, long ago!

We had errands to run and a baby shower to attend this afternoon, so it wasn't until after 6pm that we were able to make them smileys. A check of the logs showed this one was still unfound so we headed here first. Our son and his family joined us, as our daughter-in-law wanted to see how it all happened. After showing her how the puzzle was solved, I gave her my phone and she led the way to GZ. A bit of a search happened and she was pleased to make the find herself. Of course the [*FTF*] hand slap was done as we signed in the first spot. TFTC, Willis007.
