From GZ I was looking for the golf course but I couldnt see it. Being a bit of a country course golf tragic I only laid eyes on it as we were driving away.I am a terrible golf player but somehow keep going back. I like a country course because you dont have to worry about taking divots. You have to worry about spinal surgery if you do. tftc
Heading through to Murgon today and had time for a few caches on the way there an back. This was one of them. A quick stop to break up the drive. Couldn't see the club house. Maybe I am too short or the grass is now too long.
On down the road. Quick find here. Signed the log and returned to where I found it Thanks youngoldfella. All good with this cache
I am heading north to Biggenden one last time.As always, I allow some time to find a few geocaches along the way. After heading down Black Snake road for a few km's to find a few caches I turned around and headed north again. Now to find the remaining caches along this road that I have not found on previous visits. I found this cache after a short search. All is well. Thanks for the cache.
Out on the caching trail today. Beautiful winters day. Finally time to do this series in a loop from Goomeri, Kilkevin Tansy. All caches found in good condition unless otherwise stated.TFTC
We have replaced the contained as it split and perished while opening. It is now in a soap container. You may wany to update it.
Many thanks to Gourangga for replacing the container it is now soap container.
It was very wet inside, but the paper in the zip lock bag was OK. Thanks for the quirky site!
Container full of water, bag not sealed, so log absolutely saturated. Put in new paper. Put in new paper and bag. TFTC
This was a quick and easy find as we passed through Kilkevan. The log was very wet but we were able to get our names on it anyway.TFTC
I was on an incredible road trip adventure travelling back to my work location to stay for the week. I stumbled upon this drive-by cache. It was a perfect spot to take a quick break and stretch my legs. The coordinates were spot on, and the cache was cleverly hidden. Thanks to the cache owner for placing this here and adding a fun element to my journey".
After spending the night in town and dining out at the local pub it was time to get out and do colorectal the local area. I am working on a local challenge at home that requires cache numbers in Local government areas and so I need another 80 or so in the Gympie area. This area is rich with caches so off I go. Arriving at ground zero I found a safe place to park the geowagon and off I go. I quickly found ground zero and located the cache. After extracting the log and making my mark I quickly returned to the geo wagon in search of my next adventure.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.Cheers
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location. (HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do. [:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort. Devilish Brilliant and Clever I like it Another one off the list TTBLNSL TFTC/TFTH/TFBUH - Young Old Fella [^]
On a slow trip out to Longreach for the QOGM 2023 event.

Another day in Kilkivan. We were going to have an easier day but as usual, it didn't work out that way. We changed plans along the way which was a bonus and headed towards Tansey. Then we decided to drive a loop and headed off to Goomeri. Having no lunch with us we stopped in Goomeri to see what we could find. A lovely older small town with some amazing old buildings and a fantastic bakery. Great coffee, but the pies are up there with Mataranka pies. Excellent. We then headed out to Kinbombi Creek Gorge and Falls another unexpected find. We only headed out because there were caches there, but what a bonus. Well worth the diversion.
We then returned to camp a Kilkivan.
Lots of really good sized caches in good condition.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache youngoldfella.

Last day for two TASSIES in and around Kilkivan. So we thought we would come into town to log caches for the last two days and have another little sortie not too far out.
Did a few on the trails set up for a previous event, but in the end looked for quieter roads. Had this one in hand and signed in good time. TFTC yof

I know this road well.
It's a good shortcut to gayndah, bypassing goomeri entirely.
But it's super sketchy in places.
Trucks fly down here, a lot of it is without lines let along shoulders.
Not fun on a bicycle let me tell you.
But i had to ride down at least this far and grab the two here.
Mebe one day i'll come back and brave some more, today was not that day.
Thanks yof for the entertainment.

TFTC. We had headed down to Kilkivan to attend the the mid year event . After setting up we headed out to do some caching. We decided to do the ones closest to town that we had not done on a previous visit. All find were in good order and quickly found.
Whilst waiting for Out There Cycling to come and collect us, our bikes and our chariot (trailer) to drive us back to Walkuraka Station we decided to duck out and grab a couple of Kilkivan caches. We had arrived last night after riding for 10 days along the BVRT, link trail and KKRT (rail trails) from Ipswich to here. This was the first cache for today. We had to be careful on the roads as it is much different than being on rail trails for 10 days. TFTC.
Well, this one was at the gate if the property where we are camping a friends’ place I checked the nearby caches, and lo! Tftc
Found while staying on the property adjacent to the cache. Great area and views. Tftc
Logging old caches originally found with alphag_25. Now have my own account and logging them separately so that I can claim the finds.
02/07/21 Staying in Free Camp sites with Caravan and seeing the sights and grabbing some caches. I am on holidays from Mackay. Sunny at the moment but rain still hanging around. Returned cache to its location all good. TFTC SL
After camping overnight in Kilkivan I headed north today and stopped to grab some caches allong the way. No problems finding the caches and once the logs were signed all were returned as found.
If a cache needed attention that was done too.
Thanks to the CO's for placing these cache for me and others to find.

Called into GRC office at Kilkivan today to confirm my bookings for the showgrounds for some events coming up, i.e. The mid year 2021. My 10th Geocaching anniversary 24th to 26th September, and our standard New Year Event 31st December to 3rd January.
Took the opportunity to collect some caches that I'd missed at this years event at new year.
An easy find and returned as found after making my mark.

Time to get back down to business, hit the road & rack up some more smilies to spread warmth & happiness throughout the land.
Knocking up the numbers doesn't hurt either!
Kilkivan & surrounds were our target areas this run.
Day #2.
#56 of 55 smilies today.
Well I never said I could count properly!
A super quick find thanks to great coordinates.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

We are now camped at the Kilkiven Rest area. A big weekend in town with the annual horse ride event on. A street parade of all sorts of horses & riders was part of our couple of days here.
We spent many klms driving the country roads, the farmers have to be happy with the acres of green grass in the paddocks.
We found a good variety of caches in a variety of locations.
Thankyou youngoldfella for placing this cache.

Hi there youngoldfella.
We found your cache **"Golf Course View"** today. (This makes our find count 25515).
Today we decided to do a round trip Goomeri - Kilkivan - Tansy - Goomeri. We got almost all the way around before the heat and long grass sapped our energy. (It looks like we will have to return tomorrow to fully complete the circuit).
We thoroughly enjoyed today's cache finds, and our tally today was 32 caches & 0 DNF's.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache within a few metres of where our GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Smiley Badge
Thank you for adding to our adventure.
Regards
Ian & Penny

Another lovely drive in the countryside collecting caches. Cache found, log signed and replaced as found. Thanks Youngoldfella for placing this cache and showing us this beautiful place.
Thanks for the cache nice out this way. We have enjoyed the event and caching the Kilkivan locality.
Caching with my main squeeze, Oddiewan and our new little geopup. Oddiewan has his eyes on a new milestone so it’s a long day of caching ahead. A really neat spot caching has brought us to.
Thanks for the fun, youngoldfella

In Kilkivan for the New Year event, a great opportunity to catch up with caching buddies and meet some new faces.
After setting up at the showgrounds and enjoying a morning full of caching, after a quick lunch break, we headed out again to keep finding newly published caches along with some tried and true oldies.
A great day spent out and about, enjoying the beautiful country side.
The cache was quickly spotted, log signed and all replaced as found.
Thanks youngoldfella for the cache.

After an early morning sunrise event it was a drive up to Kilkivan for a weekend event. This is my first event of this type so I am not sure what to expect but I’ve been told they are fun and educational, ok. Today’s kick off was 10am so this gave me a few hours to drive up and get a little caching in before the event started for me.
At the event I teamed up with Willis007 and Ms maddy (who drove) to spend the afternoon collecting a few caches and a few first to finds. Armed with a list and some new coordinates we set off for the afternoon of caching. We had a plan of attack in mind and it turned out to be a good afternoon of caching with a variety of cache sizes, hides and ratings; thank you to the CO’s for the placements of these. Sorry for the generic post for this lot but we did approximately 90 caches around the area.
There were no DNF’s and all caches were found in good order and in close proximity to the given coordinates and or hints. I enjoyed today's caching, thank you.

We were spending time at the nearby Kilkican event, which meant catching up with friends, and finding a lot of recently, and not so recently placed geocaches. This was an easy find, thanks youngoldfella
