Today, I was joined by Seffnjarah on a caching run around the northside, collecting interesting puzzles and the odd higher DT cache here and there.A muggle was slowly dog walking here, so we parked closer to the next one and then walked up to grab this one, avoiding the muggle. All good here Many thanks Willis007Pete#8,079

We solved these drum puzzles a while ago, so today we are on the hunt to find a few to get our geo art back in place. Geocaching today with Sniggypop and Legend and taking the geodoggy along for some exercise. It's a glorious day to be out and about. We disturbed the bat colony. 5th find for the day.

11-Apr-24
These puzzles were solved a while ago, finally able to get a few more signed while down on holidays. Tftc slOn a caching holiday from Mackay. In the search of old caches and ones to fill DT grid spaces. Found TFTC SL Thanks for placing this cache for our enjoyment.

29-Mar-24
I only needed to solve one of the clues and I knew straight away who this was.Today I was chasing attributes again and this one had a wanted wading attribute. It was my last find of the day and by the time I drove home through the traffic I would be pushing it to get there in time for school pickup. So I parked perpendicular to the cache and jumped out of the car heading straight through the grass towards the GZ. Thankfully I was smart enough to look where I put my feet as I very nearly stepped on a large python who was sunning himself in the grass. I backed out of the grass and went the long way around. It was muddy but there was not much water to wade through and once at GZ I was quick to spot this cache although it was quite nicely hidden. Thanks Willis007 for the puzzle and cache!

05-Mar-24
Caching in a different location today. Thanks for hiding and adding to our enjoyment of the area. Good to be getting more of your series. Thanks Willis007*Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*

I had 3 Drum puzzles on my target list for my ride to work this morning. Found 3 reasonably quickly. I’ve enjoyed slowly solving and finding this series. TFTC

01-Feb-23
Found with Duppers. Found about 6mts from GZ.

TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF

31-Jan-23
These were the first type of puzzles that I got the hang of, so it was fairly easy to get enough clues to find the information required.

Shazzar66 and I looked in different spots for this one, but again it was Shazzar66 who made the find. 4 out of 4 so far for Shazzar66. Zero from 4 for Duppers. Cache was found about 6-7m from GZ. TFTC Willis007

21-Jan-23
What happened to the drummer who hit his head?
He got a percussion!
TFTC Wink

21-Jan-23
Out and about in the area with Wallaby Wanderers and wonder dog Zelda after a parkrun at Chermside. We collected a few caches today, all were straight forward finds. Thanks to the COs for placing and looking after these ones.

19-Nov-22
A lot of these Who Am I puzzles were quite tricky for me as I don’t know many of the codes used but knew enough to get some information to answer the question. Lid slightly loose so the logbook was a bit musty. Found with sausage3 on our pleasant walk in this area. Tftc

10-Jul-22
A trip to the local shops for a shower cap turned into a short caching run Hoping to log this series over the coming week. Then escape from the ‘burbs again

10-Feb-22
Found after an early knock from work. Slowly picking up solved caches that form part of this series.

Found in good condition

06-Feb-22
Some of these are easier than others. Some because I know the answer and some because google can be very helpful at times. This was one I knew.

Managed to ride all the way to GZ here. Missed it first lap.....

23-Jan-22
I thought I had finished the series so I started on the next phase of the day....at my new location I was looking at the map and noticed an unfound puzzle piece, clicked on it and it was another drum beat! Oh man! So after finding the cache I was at, I drove back over here and made the quick find and am pleased to say I have NOW completed the series (I hope!).
A great series Willis007, thanks for your efforts

26-Nov-21
After underestimating how the combination of rain and darkness would dampen my chances of getting the Oz Beancounter challenge I had a look at, i popped down to grab a few solves. Was concerned when this came untethered and dropped but gathered it up and signed. One closer to another challenge. Thanks Willis007

Had some time to spare this morning but needed to hang around this area so what to do? Well, not one to beat my own drum (so to speak) but having these puzzles solved and on my radar made for an excellent morning's entertainment.
Thanks Willis007 for entertaining me at this location.
Cool *{Overall find #10152}* Cool

I had complete Cache blindness here, walked around in circles for a little while back and forth, then finally Krcamber saw what I had completely missed.TFTC

16-Oct-21
Out drumming today with reezielou. I always like these types of puzzles and this one didn’t disappoint!
At GZ, we wandered around and around with our eyes shut (apparently). Took some looking to find this sneaky bugger!
Thanks for the puzzle and the cache Willis007!

26-Sep-21
NurseyJulie and I detoured off the path much earlier than we needed to on approach to this one. Of course we only realised that once at GZ and spotted the easy path out... Red Face

As the GPS counted us down to zero, we obviously disturbed the native bats and they took off in their dozens. I could have done a great Ace Ventura impersonation, but there was only one audience member, so little point. Big Grin

Nice easy find on the cache and another turned into a smiley. On the return to the car, we spotted two dog walking muggles come around the corner. Rather than stay on the footpath, they headed onto the road and strolled on the bitumen, rather than remain on the safe side of traffic. Strange folk in this area... Surprised

Cheers Willis007.

26-Sep-21
A short walk from the previous cache. Lots of bats flying as we walked on thru the trees. Gunnie69 made the find here and attended to the signing. TFTC

12-Sep-21
Back out again finding the last of the drums just with swearah and jodsta83 today super excited that we will finally have them all done and have a complete drum in yellow.

I made a nice quick find here

Kids must love it done here i can see they have been making a dirt jump with the shovels and rack they have left near by.

Thanks for the cache Smile

12-Sep-21
Enjoyed this puzzle. Some parts harder than others!

At GZ, we saw bats, a kangaroo and a cache! Stephyy found this one quickly while jodsta83 and I wandered around cluelessly, like shoppers looking for toilet paper during that first hour after a lockdown gets announced.

Thanks for the puzzle and cache, Willis007

12-Sep-21
Out and about for our 3rd day drumming around the Northside with swearah and stephyy. Stephyy came up with the find in this one while swearah and I were still doing the GPS dance. Tftc and great array of puzzles Willis007

09-Sep-21
Today I was about to be out and about sans child so I decided to knock of a few more drum beat puzzles better done without a toddler to help. Very enjoyable puzzle and a nice hiding spot. TFTC

10-Aug-21
Didn't think I would locate this one. Navigator had me 8m away.
Looked around for likely aces and soon came up with this cache.
Log book is very damp and does not have a bag. Unfortunately I have used my last one, which reminds me to stock up for future uses.
Signed as best as could and returned.
Maybe a maintenance run....
Thanks for the series and TFTC
This is #3 for the day

07-Aug-21
After dropping my daughter off at work I decided to go for a walk to get my daily steps. Parked at Chermside Hills Reserve and headed off with pen in hand.
Was lucky enough to be able to solve this with only 1 clue deciphered.
At GZ it was a quick find. Log is damp but was able to sign. Sorry I didn’t have my GCing bag on me else I would have put in a new log in a bag with the old one.

Went for another masked walk with a friend in the area. I've been through here countless times but never cut in to see the creek!
Coords were 7m off for us, but we got there in the end. A little wallaby hopped away Smile
Thanks for improving our lockdown!

Out today with Selva Girls to pick up the last of the Drum Beat. Plenty of walking, a bit of tree climbing and some tree fishing. There were some good hides along the way and some rather sneaky ones.
Sorry for the generic log.

My last for today. Another sudden swerve off the path and after making sure no muggles followed, it was an easy find thanks to good coords. Log was a little damp but not too bad.
TFTC and series. I’ll be back for more.

Finally got out in the afternoon after family stuff. I still have more of the Drum Beat geoart to find.

Quick easy find with Domsky Team. Log wet.

Thanks for the cache and taking us here Willis007.

11-Jun-21
We remember this puzzle well. In the end we got lucky and did not have to go through every single code and found ourselves the answer. That seems like awhile ago now, since we have been looking for an opportunity to get back out here with E_Smiley and continue this adventure together.

The sun had still not risen, and after all, we are at almost the shortest daylight time of the year.
The temperature gauge said it was 7°, which for Brisbanites is freezing. The Domsky’s hail from Canberra, however clearly have become acclimatised, since despite warm beanies and gloves and many layers of clothing, it was still freezing
In the dark, we traipsed into the bush and, under good torchlight soon found what we were seeking.
Thanks Willis007.

After work I decided to take my bike for a ride to get a couple of caches to keep my streak alive (39 today). What a great place for a ride and at gz I soon spotted the cache. I love these types of puzzles, they are my favorite. So giving this a FP FOR all the fun

19-Apr-21
Found at 1:43 PM GAFF1 in the company of DiMorgan.
Came back to pick up this cache that we left on our way up. A few turns and stares into the bush and there it was [^]

Thanks Willis007

We have now set up camp at the Caboolture showgrounds. We have been joined for a couple of days by pprass.
Today was the 2nd day to finish off the drum series, the puzzles had been completed prior to leaving. home. So much information learnt about drummers & drumming.
This series today we spent about half & half of the time bike riding & by car. The bike riding was by far the most enjoyable.
Thankyou Willis007 for placing this cache.

I had solved this puzzle back in early March, and truthfully, I didn't translate all five statements, but just enough for me to research and understand who this mystery drummer is. A band that I had obviously heard of, but unfortunately I didn't know the drummer by name.

This afternoon, I headed out north to around Chermside and picked up a couple of geocaches. Some nice little reserves and areas along the creek bed.

I parked as close as I could to this geocache, and walked in from the street to GZ. There were a few brush turkeys around, and one of whom managed to fly up to the tree above. In the second tree that I searched, I managed to find the geocache there, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Willis007 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Found it after some search.

07-Apr-21
A team effort to solve all the caches in this series in preparation for burgo78 visiting the big smoke.
Loaded the bikes this morning and set out to log the series by car and bike.
Met some friendly muggles, saw wallabies and a turtle, rode bikes in the mud, and through fast-flowing creeks.
Easy tree climbs and some hard-to-find ones.
Wet feet and shoes all day due to plenty of water in many parks.
The Kedron brook was flowing quickly, would have been an adrenaline-packed paddle today.

Thank you Willis007 for this series and my apologies for the copy-paste logs

Out with Karicka targeting the Drums series today. On the bikes for most and the car for the rest.

Couple of circles and we got it. I’ll be dreaming of these containers tonight.
Logs signed as BK.

Thanks Willis007 for creating and placing this for us to enjoy.

Even though you always want a challenge to find a cache, there are just sometimes when you want it to magically appear. We looked at the area around GZ and thought this hunt would be over in a jiffy as there weren’t many places to look. I’m not sure what the official length of time a jiffy is, but after 30 minutes we were ready to form a new definition.

Mrs Woodyrothwell and I were looping the same trees and coming up with a big fat zero. We weren’t even coming up with a zero that’s on a weight loss plan. After half an hour I decided to call it quits. We had even read some logs and formed our own responses.

Log: it was in the first place I looked
Us: that sounds like a crock

Log: the cache was where I expected it to be
Us: your expectations are unrealistic

Log: quick easy find
Us: bullsh*t

I was already walking away when my wife had one more look, because you always need one more look. The cache was spotted in a place we had both looked a multitude of times but never at the right angle. In the end it was a quick easy (30 minute) find. tftc

Early morning drum hunt! First one found after a small hunt!

14-Mar-21
It seems weeks since I last had a decent cache hunt and early this morning an opportunity presented itself. (Drum roll please) . . . and the first one on the list was this one, lucky 45!!

Parking adjacent to this hide, some of the local zombies were shuffling to get home before sunlight hit the pavement. Avoiding said zombies, their wheelie walkers and the dirt bike track, after a short look see spotted the cache. Will pick up a few more before heading west to place a few more caches. Thanks Willis007 for a learning experience with the whole series.

07-Mar-21
Out today to grab a few more of the drum series, with just a few to collect I thought it would be nice to jump on the bike and enjoy a Sunday bike ride. It was very quiet on the bike path this afternoon so I was able to search and find caches with ease. A tree climb and a few tied to a tree, no difficulty with these ones. With logs signed and caches returned as found I was onto the next, nice and relaxing urban caching.
Thanks for the series I enjoyed all these hides and cache types, a very good series, and some deserving favourite points for the series.

01-Mar-21
This morning Team Tyrrell and I went for a bike ride to collect more of the new drum series. We had good fun and made good progress finding the caches.

Thanks for this enjoyable series and the variety of puzzles and hides!

01-Mar-21
Out and about again with Georode to finish off the drum series. This will be our 2nd day on the geo bikes covering just over 40 km's today ( 80km in total over 2 days of cycling from home.)

I have enjoyed the challenge of solving the various puzzles thrown up by Willis007. Most of them i was able to punch my way through by myself, however a few i needed a kick in the right direction.

Today we had the relevant TOTT to collect the harder to reach caches. I feel like i pushed my way through a hundred spider webs whilst crawling in and around the trees and i must have been bitten at least 10 times by the mozzies but i loved it.

Tanks Lisa for a great series and and extra big thanks for putting it so close to my home Smile
Love your work.

17-Feb-21
A few codes that I knew about and I soon had my answer.

This was to be the last find on the series for today. I will be back for some more soon.

I took a long way in from the road to this one and then the GPS had me jumping around for a while until I spotted the cache.

TFTC Willis007 I am enjoying the series.

15-Feb-21
We had a lovely stroll along the upper creek bed, observing signs of bush turkeys and lizards in the area. Sadly, at GZ, my GPS was pointing in the opposite direction and up the slope, so that’s where I was standing, staring, when I heard a voice behind me say, I’ve got it! Yay! Plenty of mosquitoes to keep us company here – bring the Aerogard!
TFTC, Willis007. =^.^=

Out for a Caching Coffee Cycle with LaKedi, IolantheK, DisSister and Mrs Slow Puncture. We had planned a nice little loop to bang a few Drums along the way, check out the local bike paths and bushland and indulge in caffeine and cakes along the way and then do a round of tree fishing to finish off the days activities.

Heading North now on a cycleway which i use on a regular basis on a return loop home after a Coffee at Redcliffe..

Monday. A group meet up at the Downfall Creek Bushland Centre of LaKedi, Ruzzelz, IolantheK, DisSister and Mrs Slow Puncture at 7am - turned out we rode for 5 hours today gathering some of the Drum caches that we targeted. Another cache that I didn’t spot until someone made the call. Had to look all around at all sides but then easily spotted. There are a few places to hide a cache here.

This was the 6th of 21 caches found on this outing.

Thanks ***Willis007*** for showing us this place Razz

13-Feb-21
Out on our weekly early morning walk I just had to stop a few times along the way. Mr DisSister spotted this one after I walked straight past it. At least I did the puzzle solving part of it! All about teamwork for us. TFTC Willis007

09-Feb-21
Spent a few hours banging on drums after a headbanging session nutting out more of the puzzles. Wow, so much green space in the middle or urban development. Geez it must get a great deal of floodwater through here after some rain. Didn't take long to spot this one.

We haven't had a really good geoart in a while and this one is certainly getting us back in the game!
Kudos to Willis007 for the effort put in.
#13 of 25 caches found today. Smile

Aha!
A five stage puzzle solved with rapidity by Mr VC **NOT** Mrs! Big Grin
The cache was quickly found in a nice shady spot.
No sign of any of our scaly friends today but did we tell you we had a black snake in our garden a couple of days ago.
We tried for a catch and release to move the 5 foot long beauty to a safer location but it managed to elude our best efforts. Sad
Ah, yes ... back to the cache. Big Grin
Made our mark and replaced as found.

A puzzle that took some time, but one that I knew I was working towards a solution... and a band I enjoy too...

Pulled up as close as I could to GZ as I could and walked in... I found this cache quickly in comparison to some of the others I I’ve found today...

Thanks Willis007 for your geoart... I can only imagine the effort that went into it...

31/1/21 Find #4561
These caches came out. Ice and close to my home at the worst possible time/day - thanks Jingeri!!
As it happened, on this particular morning, Fangsoki and I were on our way for an adventure out Ipswich way with a particular Captain Terror - we were still in fact on our way to pick him up, when the notifications came through for these. He is lucky I didn’t turn right around and head back home then and there.
Unfortunately for me that would have probably been the smart thing to do, as a little later in our morning, our adventure got thwarted by the fact my car had a serious mechanical conniption, and I was to find myself lost for a geovehicle.
To distract myself from the tragedy that was, upon arriving home I sat down and began working on solving these puzzles, Fangsoki joining, in coming up with ideas in places I’d been stuck, and with teamwork, we continued to do so until much too late into the night, I might add. And when I retired for the night I had a plan for the morning.
No sooner had we woken, than Fangsoki was bombarded with my request to search for three particular nearby caches that still had FTF available, before heading out to breakfast.
Despite the morning drizzle, we made our way to the first one, however sadly it was not to be. The cache was indeed missing.
Off towards the second one and we realised it was going to require a little more than our ore-breakfast expectations.
So we continued along our way to this, the third option, by this stage wondering what our chances were going to be like with our bad luck run this morning. Hunger was starting to set in, which, combined with the rain, may have begun to affect our moods too.
But we headed over and in for the search.
It wasn’t long before we started to feel that hopeless feeling sink in, and began flitting between here and there, and Fangsoki widening the search a little more.
However persistence paid off, as I finally happened to discover the cache, laying on the ground, rather than tethered where it belonged.
The tether was still attached, so I twisted it up back in what seemed the likely location it came from, after we placed our names in the **FTF** spot in the logbook.
Ahhh one victory at last! Now it was time to head off for that well-earned and much needed breaky.
Thanks for the cache Willis007. I look forward to chipping away at searching for the rest of this series.

1MinnieMoo stayed up I don't know how late doing these puzzles. I helped with my share of how to get some solved.

We parked up and made our way through the wet area (thanks, random shower of rain) toward GZ.

We stopped at an area that did not look very cache-esque at all. Oh dear. We fanned out and started our hunt. Thankfully, 1MinnieMoo found it an area I didn't check. Admittedly, I didn't check the ground though Twisted

We opened the log to find we got FTF @ 0655. We signed the log and re-hid the cache as we thought it should be. A nice puzzle and a good find. Thanks for your effort in placing the geoart.
