Today, I was joined by Seffnjarah on a caching run around the northside, collecting interesting puzzles and the odd higher DT cache here and there. We took a circuitous route to this one crossing bridge and creeks somewhat unnecessarily, before I eventually spotted it. It was time for the vertically challenge Seff to show his mettle and reach up to grab this one, which was nicely dangling a few inches higher than he could reach. A good chuckle. Many thanks Willis007Pete#8,080
We solved these drum puzzles a while ago, so today we are on the hunt to find a few to get our geo art back in place. Geocaching today with Sniggypop and Legend and taking the geodoggy along for some exercise. It's a glorious day to be out and about. Read the other logs and started searching in logical places on the other side of the creek. 4th find for today
Out with Legend and ILTW for a few cache finds. TFTC. Took a little time to find it. Opposite side to the coordinates On to the next.
Spending the day around north Brisbane targetting mostly the Drumbeats but also some nearby caches and ALs. Thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining these caches for our enjoyment.
Watawieh from Norfolk Island South Pacific. There were 3 members of our band today - joojoo57, Richmond Lad & endeavour3. We have teamed up to bang out some finds on a few Drum Beats. Logs may have been signed E3 to save space. TFTC Found & logged using Cachly for iOS
Out and about caching today on Brisbane northside - caching with joojoo57,endeavour 3 and myself, Richmond Lad. Log book signed as jj57, E3 and RL to save space. Found cache and signed log. TFTC
After an early morning start at an event to meet some local cachers including the CO of this series with alphag_25, we decided to try and complete the Drum Beat art series which we had solved some time ago. Helping to fill some DT grid spaces as well. TFTC
These puzzles were solved a while ago, finally able to get a few more signed while down on holidays. Tftc slOn a caching holiday from Mackay. In the search of old caches and ones to fill DT grid spaces. Found TFTC SL Thanks for placing this cache for our enjoyment.
Caching in a different location today. Thanks for hiding and adding to our enjoyment of the area. Good to be getting more of your series Willis007*Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
Went out for a quick walk on a rainy day to collect a solved cache that had now turned into two. Another lovely park to walk through as I parked 800m away. As I return to the car, the mozzies are about but I've learned with the wet weather lately to wear long pants and long sleeves. Walk so far 4.3km. TFTC
Moving along the park, this one was a nice quick find after we realised we were on the wrong side of the creek. Thanks willis007 for sponsoring this outing today
Muggle65 and l decided to empty our solved puzzle box a bit today. We hardly ever seem to go for the ones closer to home, so today was the day. This one is in great condition. Thank you for the fun
Started off on the wrong side of the creek at first but then realised my error. Cache in hand not too long after. TFTC
I was hopeful that my caching skills had improved in the last 2 years since I was last here. This time I ventured to the other side of the creek from where I had searched last time. When I found a feature mentioned in a previous post I was hopeful that this time I would be successful. Eventually I spotted the container but as is quite often the case, I could only touch it with a finger tip. I couldn’t find a suitable foot hold so returned to my car to retrieve my very expensive $6 folding foot stool. It was then a case of experimenting on the ideal location for the stool so that both hands were free to open the container. With the log signed & the cache returned to its original state I was happy to now have a smiley. I’m hoping no one was watching my antics. TFTC
Opposite side to where I searched last time. Couldn’t reach needed collapsible foot stool

On a beautiful winters morning in south east Queensland I ventured out for a morning of caching working my way north.
The cache had been in my solved pile for awhile now and it must say completing the crossword was easy but working out the string took a few goes.
After parking the car I choose my path to this cache through what turned out to be quiet a torturous path, really should have thought that through more but I soon had the cache in hand
Very pleased to make my mark and returned the cache to its rightful place and back to the car.
A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache again available to be found.
Cheers

I had 3 Drum puzzles on my target list for my ride to work this morning. Found 3 reasonably quickly. I’ve enjoyed slowly solving and finding this series. TFTC
This puzzle I found pretty easy to solve…yay. With Shazzar66 this afternoon, I looked one side, she looked the other, our devices telling us different things. Once again it was Shazzar66 who spotted the cache? I could say I need new glasses, but the ones I have are only new! In that case, I have no excuse. TFTC Willis007
Found with Duppers. Took a little bit of searching, but we got there in the end.

This year Wednesdays are made for midweek fun! With the weather forecast warning today was supposed to be wet, I didn’t make any exciting plans, expecting to have a mostly
Inside day including washing to be hung under the house. However as the day went on it appeared this was not going to be the case. And with the washing hung out, I decided I should head out for a bit, hoping to do a brief spot of maintenance and quickly pop to the shops, then grab a few local caches.
The Drum Beat series have sat in my solved ever since they came out, and because they were nice and close to home, I kept them for those “emergency days” or days where I just felt like grabbing one when on a walk. However with a change in situation for this year, I realised I would not be going for those afternoon strolls here anymore, and perhaps I should start to actually clear some of them from the map.
The map showed I needed to be on the other side of creek so I headed up and over. Luckily the water level was low so I could jump back across without getting wet feet, as it turns out the creek line was wrong.
With cache found, I took a moment to appreciate the giant stump here. It really does have quite some character.
Thanks for the cache Willis007.

Out and about in the area with Wallaby Wanderers and wonder dog Zelda after a parkrun at Chermside. We collected a few caches today, all were straight forward finds. Thanks to the COs for placing and looking after these ones.
Interesting to find the songs with drum in the title. Sausage3 spotted the cache a bit higher than what I was looking. Tftc
My geo work friend really enjoyed this puzzle and had fun solving it. Today i decided to turn it into a smiley. At GZ i went to the wrong side of the creek and had to carefully cross to the other side where i did a few circles and then spotted the cache. Thanks for all the fun.
I had ONE job today. Keep my feet warm and dry as had serious probs last winter down south and worried about a flare up. Parked on wrong side of the creek and decided to jump across at a narrow point. But my right foot sank Logged the cache and returned to the car. Scooted back to the house to get the wet sock and shoe off ASAP. All snug now

A fairly quick find on the banks of a very clear running watercourse. Thanks Willis007 for all of these mysteries.

Had some time to spare this morning but needed to hang around this area so what to do? Well, not one to beat my own drum (so to speak) but having these puzzles solved and on my radar made for an excellent morning's entertainment.
Thanks Willis007 for entertaining me at this location.

We got this one on the way back as a muggle was sitting at the bench close by, another nice quick find here and off Krcamber and I went, ready for more of the drums. TFTC
Collecting some drum beats today with reezielou. I have never been good at these puzzles but I managed this one
At GZ, we waited out a muggle and then it took reezielous eagle eyes to spot this one.
Thanks for the puzzle and the cache Willis007!

Easy to overshoot this one with the affected GPS accuracy as NurseyJulie found out this morning... While she was a further 6-8m in front of me, I paused, scanned around and spotted the cache within a metre of where I was standing. Err... Got it.
Another one ticked off with our names etched in the log, it was returned as found and we headed along the path to the next in the series. [^]
Cheers Willis007.

We’ve been puzzling up a storm to get this great geoart completed and we’ve been loving it.
It was time to finish beating the drums today, so Stephyy, jodsta83 and I were making hay.
Jodsta83 made a quick find at this one, and we were ready for anothery!

Out and about for our 3rd day drumming around the Northside with swearah and stephyy. I came up with a surprising nice quick find at GZ and we are off to the next . Tftc and great array of puzzles Willis007
Today I was about to be out and about sans child so I decided to knock of a few more drum beat puzzles better done without a toddler to help. This was a fun puzzle to solve. TFTC
Out with geofriends (Snickersallan, RoddyC, hatzofff, GS1947 and Imbunda) again today to finish off finding the Drumbeat Series as well as other caches along the way.
Certainly getting an education of drummers from bands with these caches.
GPS was playing "lets go round the park today" but finally settled enough for us to make the find.
SL then returned as found.

Had cache blindness here, everyones compasses were playing up but eventually they settled and we spotted it pretty quickly after that, thanks CO.

I had a late start today as I had to have my leg dressed, caching injury 3 or 4 weeks ago and I also had a hair cut booked but then I was able to join with RoddyC, Hatsoff, Patrol14, Snickersallen and GrannySmith1947 to do a bit of Drumming and a few other caches. Its always good to have company.

This area caused all kinds of feelings of déjà vu but I couldn’t swear I’d been here before.
My particular map told me GZ was on one side of the creek so I walked all the way around, climbed down and then discovered I had to jump across!
After all that, with shoes now full of sand, it was an easy find. I guess muggles are unlikely to pass through right here. TFTC where all is well.

We decided to walk the next couple, and this was our closest.
Since moving to Brisbane, we have enjoyed meeting and getting to know various fellow geocachers. Sometimes it is fun to work as a team through the puzzles and channel the work together. it was E_Smiley who had done the work on this one and talked us through the puzzle.
Under cover of bushes but with our torches still shining, and our gloves attempting to keep the chill off our fingers, we signed the log.
Looking up, we could see some colour now heading into the sky. Let’s hope the sun will bring some warmth as well.
Thanks Willis007. Such a great series, and so much work in putting this Geo art together.

We have now set up camp at the Caboolture showgrounds. We have been joined for a couple of days by pprass.
Today was the 2nd day to finish off the drum series, the puzzles had been completed prior to leaving. home. So much information learnt about drummers & drumming.
This series today we spent about half & half of the time bike riding & by car. The bike riding was by far the most enjoyable.

A team effort to solve all the caches in this series in preparation for burgo78 visiting the big smoke.
Loaded the bikes this morning and set out to log the series by car and bike.
Met some friendly muggles, saw wallabies and a turtle, rode bikes in the mud, and through fast-flowing creeks.
Easy tree climbs and some hard-to-find ones.
Wet feet and shoes all day due to plenty of water in many parks.
The Kedron brook was flowing quickly, would have been an adrenaline-packed paddle today.
Thank you Willis007 for this series and my apologies for the copy-paste logs

For only the second time in our caching “career” we spotted someone actually exercising on the equipment today. We just thought all this stuff was built in parks because some government agency had money left over in their budget. They build something that looks like it involves effort and then they all sit around at a party sipping Chardonnay and patting themselves on the back.
Not only that, the guy we saw was dressed in his best exercising attire. He had all the brand name gear on: Lorna Jane ladies pants that didn’t fit, a Nike shirt and a Rafael Nadal headband. It’s surprising people can still afford gym fees after they purchase all this other stuff. I suppose that was why he was out using the free exercise stations. His money was all tied up in his outfit. tftc

One of many hypothetical questions I have bouncing around in the noggin was finally going to be answered with this new drum series. Well so I thought . . .
It all stems back to primary school, sporting teams, academia pursuits and being the third favourite in a family comprising 3 sons. The label humdrum was banded around anything I tried and I took it as a badge of honour, until this series failed to touch on the topic.
So I relented and finally searched the internet expecting to see a fancy drum mimicking humming. Instead I find I'm lacking variety and with variety being the spice of life, I'm now an honorary fan of the de-funked spice girls. Can't wait til tomorrow when I use my new word of the week at work, thanks Willis007. And with the sentence before this one, I've beaten my all time record and now have 6 'W' words in the one sentence, how humdrum!!

Out today to grab a few more of the drum series, with just a few to collect I thought it would be nice to jump on the bike and enjoy a Sunday bike ride. It was very quiet on the bike path this afternoon so I was able to search and find caches with ease. A tree climb and a few tied to a tree, no difficulty with these ones. With logs signed and caches returned as found I was onto the next, nice and relaxing urban caching.
Thanks for the series I enjoyed all these hides and cache types, a very good series, and some deserving favourite points for the series.

Out and about again with Georode to finish off the drum series. This will be our 2nd day on the geo bikes covering just over 40 km's today ( 80km in total over 2 days of cycling from home.)
I have enjoyed the challenge of solving the various puzzles thrown up by Willis007. Most of them i was able to punch my way through by myself, however a few i needed a kick in the right direction.
Today we had the relevant TOTT to collect the harder to reach caches. I feel like i pushed my way through a hundred spider webs whilst crawling in and around the trees and i must have been bitten at least 10 times by the mozzies but i loved it.
Tanks Lisa for a great series and and extra big thanks for putting it so close to my home
Love your work.

My must have been getting tired by this time as I didn't spot the cache for some time. When I did spot it I had to workout how to retrieve it as I am a bit on the short side. Needless to say, I did improvise and my name is in the log.

Another lovely lizard dashing for cover and safety at this cache– initially, we thought that the lizard was inhabiting the tree that contained the cache, but fortunately that turned out not to be the case. Height would have been an advantage here, but we managed to balance on a nearby object and retrieve the geocache safely. Quite a cute little spot with the creek meandering nearby – only a slight ripple in the water to indicate any flow this morning. We also had a few brush turkeys observing the proceedings.

Out for a Caching Coffee Cycle with LaKedi, IolantheK, DisSister and Mrs Slow Puncture. We had planned a nice little loop to bang a few Drums along the way, check out the local bike paths and bushland and indulge in caffeine and cakes along the way and then do a round of tree fishing to finish off the days activities.
Heading North now on a cycleway which i use on a regular basis on a return loop home after a Coffee at Redcliffe..

Monday. A group meet up at the Downfall Creek Bushland Centre of LaKedi, Ruzzelz, IolantheK, DisSister and Mrs Slow Puncture at 7am - turned out we rode for 5 hours today gathering some of the Drum caches that we targeted. It was nice and shady here and I was grateful for the cooler spot to stop at. Took a bit of looking, as the container is nicely camoed, but we spotted it dangling when we looked from the right direction.
This was the 5th of 21 caches found on this outing.
Thanks ***Willis007*** for showing us this place

I'm sure there was an easier way to solve this, some magic list with all the names on it. But my googling couldn't find one, so I did it the slow but methodical way, same result.

So many solved puzzles calling to us, even in our sleep, that here we are again for Day 3 collecting Drum Beats & smilies.
We haven't had a really good geoart in a while and this one is certainly getting us back in the game!
Kudos to Willis007 for the effort put in.
#12 of 25 caches found today.
Geez, another puzzle quickly solved by Mrs VC.
I'm beginning to feel a little inadequate and unnecessary!
I **DID** solve my fair share!
Also as I do the driving, parking & securing of the Geo-Beast as well as taking notes (yes, old school, pen to paper ) Mrs VC is always out & gone to start searching first, no waiting around.
However I do my share of the finding & quite often have to go to her rescue.
I have the extra reach that is sometimes needed, the patience to wait for the compass to settle which aids greatly in locating the target and the finesse for those more delicate, intricate or fiddly caches.
**SO** just to set the record straight I'm no second fiddle I'll give you the drum!
GZ was a nice stretch for Mrs VC ... up on tiptoe, arms extended ... but the cache was soon in hand.
Made our mark and replaced as found.

Another puzzle that Duck Duck Go helped with immensely... I can’t help but notice that Drumming is a male dominated art...
After finding a few of this series, I actually managed to find this quickly once I ignored the very obvious feature here... I did find a bright blue pine cone... weird...
Thanks Willis007 for an awesome piece of geoart that I too will be back soon to find some more...

It was just our luck that when this geoart was published we were heading over to the South side for the weekend. I spent most of my time solving these, so when we came back we may have a chance for FTF. Luckily enough, as I was counting down the time until we came back, I saw that one final one I had solved was still unfound. With excitement we headed straight to it. When we got there the gps wouldn’t cooperate and was sending us here there and everywhere. After fifteen minutes searching and some wet shoes we found it! We hurriedly opened the log and thankfully it was blank. TFTC Willis007 and thank you so much for this excellent series that I bet a lot of work has gone into. Cant wait to do some more!
