Today, I was joined by Seffnjarah on a caching run around the northside, collecting interesting puzzles and the odd higher DT cache here and there. After relocating the car following the last group of caches, we set off into the bush again. This long solved puzzle and a few others nearby were next up. We walked a nice loop through the bush, with only a bit of bush bashing needed to efficiently collect this next group of three caches. Many thanks Willis007Pete#8,071
Out with Legend and ILTW for a few cache finds. TFTC. I was hoping that the local fire had not burnt the cache. All safe and sound. Needs new log.
We solved these drum puzzles a while ago, so today we are on the hunt to find a few to get our geo art back in place. Geocaching today with Sniggypop and Legend and taking the geodoggy along for some exercise. It's a glorious day to be out and about. Lucky the fire didn't get it. Find 8 for today.
Another afternoon out collecting some drum beats. This one required some circling around the GZ to find.
Spending the day around north Brisbane targetting mostly the Drumbeats but also some nearby caches and ALs. Thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining these caches for our enjoyment.
Out and about caching today on Brisbane northside - caching with joojoo57,endeavour 3 and myself, Richmond Lad. Log book signed as jj57, E3 and RL to save space. Found cache and signed log. TFTC
Watawieh from Norfolk Island South Pacific. There were 3 members of our band today - joojoo57, Richmond Lad & endeavour3. We have teamed up to bang out some finds on a few Drum Beats. Logs may have been signed E3 to save space. TFTC Found & logged using Cachly for iOS
These puzzles were solved a while ago, finally able to get a few more signed while down on holidays. Tftc slOn a caching holiday from Mackay. In the search of old caches and ones to fill DT grid spaces. Found TFTC SL Thanks for placing this cache for our enjoyment.
After an early morning start at an event to meet some local cachers including the CO of this series with alphag_25, we decided to try and complete the Drum Beat art series which we had solved some time ago. Helping to fill some DT grid spaces as well. TFTC
Had been to this one before and eventually found it today about 13 metres from where my GPS was saying. Thanks Willis007 for the cache and the puzzles. Still have a few to solve and lot to find.
My first day of Xmas holidays and had a bunch of errands to run including dropping the car off for a service. So brought the trusty geocycle along for a morning of geos. Ive had a few of the Drum Beat series solved for a while so it was a good day to locate a few more in between errands. TFTC
Car map didnot send me to an accessible point but soon found onceI found a better place to park. Have solved quite a few Drumbeat problems but this is the first found. TfTC
Checked the co-ords today, all in order. Look low, sitting in nook covered with leaf litter.
On a rare day with some spare time, decided I would head out and start collecting more of these that I have solved and have been sitting there waiting for a chance to find them. Thanks for the puzzles and geoart (that I will finish one day!).
I managed to solve this one pretty easily, far easier than the others in the series. I needed some puzzles solved, a quick interstate visit was on the cards and I needed to keep my calendar going.
This morning I turned up for this one and managed to make a quick find. Cache found around 10m from listed coords, but thankfully the hint gave me ideas on where it might be. Not far from the gate which thankfully fitted with my tight schedule. I love this park, and I expect there are dozens hidden in here, I am looking forward to solving more of these and returning.
Found and signed, returned and I was on my way. Thanks for the puzzle and cache Willis007. Find #8515 at 6.34am

A big of googling helped me with this one, not being particularly into drummers, or this particular group. I solved this puzzle quite a while ago, but today Shazzar66 and I had determined to find a group of nearby Drums. Quick walk from our parking spot to this one. TFTC Willis007

This year Wednesdays are made for midweek fun! With the weather forecast warning today was supposed to be wet, I didn’t make any exciting plans, expecting to have a mostly
Inside day including washing to be hung under the house. However as the day went on it appeared this was not going to be the case. And with the washing hung out, I decided I should head out for a bit, hoping to do a brief spot of maintenance and quickly pop to the shops, then grab a few local caches.
The Drum Beat series have sat in my solved ever since they came out, and because they were nice and close to home, I kept them for those “emergency days” or days where I just felt like grabbing one when on a walk. However with a change in situation for this year, I realised I would not be going for those afternoon strolls here anymore, and perhaps I should start to actually clear some of them from the map.
As I got close to this one, there was a muggle watering nearby, and I wondered if he would turn and watch me. However he was just far enough away that I was out of view anyway, although he didn’t seem at all interested in anything other than his garden.
For me today I had the cache 10 metres out but the clue certainly narrowed down my options to make my find.
Thanks for the cache Willis007.

On the last day of the year, I managed to get a final couple of hours caching time in. The dog as usual was up for a bushwalk, so a little drive to this bushland reserve and we were ready to tick off another couple of the drum beat series caches.
The puzzle for this one was particularly easy for me, being a fan of this artist and his bands and various collaborations.
Parking was easy on Paramount circuit, and the walk to the first cache on the list was quite quick. Approached GZ initially thinking I had the wrong target, but there was the container sitting proud. The dry log book was signed as AWT?. All good here, and off to the second one. Thanks very much for the series and the cache Willis007. Cheers

Had to wander by on my way to another close one. A bit of a fossick around for this one.
This one wasn’t too hard to solve with the help of an app. Easy find at gz. Enjoyed my walk around this area. Tftc
I think I solved this one back in March this year. Finally had an opportunity for a short walk to grab a few close together. Slowly adding more smileys to the drum beat.
Be careful out there with tick season starting!
Muggle husband came along with the dogs. TFTC.

Picked this one up as I needed to fill a spot on the calendar and it was in the area I was visiting for the afternoon. I have never walked through here so will come back and do some further exploring. I figure there might be some more drums to beat in this part of town. TFTC
Decided to get our 10000 steps in this morning with a couple of cache finds in between.
Nice hide.
Nice hide.
It's always nice exploring new areas of Brisbane, thanks for showing me these areas.
The aim this weekend was to complete the drum beat series, tracking along nicely converting puzzle pieces into smilies. This was a nice, straightforward find and all was in good condition.

Had some time to spare this morning but needed to hang around this area so what to do? Well, not one to beat my own drum (so to speak) but having these puzzles solved and on my radar made for an excellent morning's entertainment.
Thanks Willis007 for entertaining me at this location.

With the Elbrus souvenir opportunity ending soon I decided to pick up a few more solved puzzles until it was far too hot to continue caching. Great walk in the bush to the cache. TFTC
Krcamber and I had a good giggle at a bush turkey who was redecorating someone front yard this morning as we parked up ready to find the next few of the drums. I really enjoyed this beautiful bush area thanks for bringing me here. TFTC
Out for some drum beat madness with reezielou today, I’m looking forward to completing this geoart!
A nice easy find at GZ. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache Willis007!

A couple of good hiding options when NurseyJulie and I arrived at GZ. We split up to take on the options and I got lucky by picking the right spot to inspect. [^]
All nice and quiet on the trails today, so with business sorted here, NJ and I hit the dirt to the next couple.
Cheers Willis007.

A few possible spots where this could be located and as I checked one area, Gunnie was able to locate the cache on this one. TFTC
Poor bush turkey were getting hounded by small birds just dive bombing over and over again. Not sure what the issue was but they had it moving! Cache found without concern, a quick sign was in order and I was out the gate!
Back out again finding the last of the drums just with swearah and jodsta83 today super excited that we will finally have them all done and have a complete drum in yellow.
Yay i found this one.

Today was a magnificent day for some Drum Beating with jodsta83 and Stephyy, and Stephyy made the nice find at GZ.

Out and about for our 3rd day drumming around the Northside with swearah and stephyy. We set off towards GZ and a lovely stroll where stephyt came up with the find. Tftc and great array of puzzles Willis007
Out with geofriends again (Snickersallan, hatzofff, RoddyC, GS1947 and Imbunda) today to finish off the Drumbeat Series and other caches along the way.
I was always impressed with the drummers from the bands but don't think I was that talented to become one (I lack co-ordination). Solving puzzles about drummers was probably easier.
A quick find once we spied it from a different angle. SL then returned as found.

Don't drummers with beards look so imposing! But today, it was the women who were more imposing, thankfully.

Third trip up to finish the beaut Drum geoart series off with patrol14, Imbunda, hatzofff, grannysmith1947 and RoddyC. Enjoyed venturing into so many different suburbs during our visits, some for the very first time.
Nice walk in but missed this with my first look, not through enough but patrol14 ended up finding it, thanks CO.

Gradually stopping for these on my way too or from work. This was a nice quick detour in the morning. TFTC!
After a short delay waiting for muggles to pass I was straight in & collected the cache TFTC
Another fun puzzle that i did not know the answer too until i googled , do like their songs. After work i decided to pop in and turn this into a smiley and at GZ i used the hint for a quick find in a nice location. Thankyou for all the fun
I have probably walked this trail 1000 times. Love this little piece of nature.
A quick and easy find for this cache.
Found in great condition with a dry log.
This is #5 for the day.
Now to beat another drum

Out today with Selva Girls to pick up the last of the Drum Beat. Plenty of walking, a bit of tree climbing and some tree fishing. There were some good hides along the way and some rather sneaky ones.

Headed out for a few hours of pack training, and paused for this one. I’m slowly getting better at puzzles and this one was certainly speedy. Thanks very much!
Out caching with Muggle65 and The Green Geckos grabbing more of the Drum geoart. After logging all these. That should be the last one. Another geoart finish.
I did love that series with solving and finding.
Today count was 14 finds, the breakdown is multi, traditional and 12 mystery.

No dramas with this puzzle - one of the few drummers I can instantly identify!
Continuing from my last find, I went under and up, past another find from many years ago.
The GZ was nice and secluded and the cache in fine condition so TFTC. The walk through the grass trees and flora was really worthwhile in itself.

From the previous find, we headed to the Firetrail and then made our way very quickly to GZ. E_Smiley Spotted this one straight away.
This bushland area is beautiful, and the trails are all so well marked.
This was the last of the series in this area, and we had a feeling it was time to probably stop for a cup of coffee.
Siri found a nearby cafe which also happened to serve very delicious Portuguese tarts, and while we sat and warmed up in the sunshine, enjoying our coffees, we planned our next attack.
Thanks Willis007

This evening, after picking up an errand, and needing a multi-cache for today's calendar day, I headed to Chermside Hills Reserve. It was such terrific weather that I decided to jog around the various tracks finding the geocaches in the area. A great area that I would love to return to in better light to see these grass trees, but the tracks and boardwalks were actually pretty cool nevertheless.
I hadn't recognised this Drummer, but after performing some brief research, I managed to obtain his band, and subsequently obtained the coordinates for GZ.
This cache wasn't too far off the track, but it still took a few minutes in locating in its hiding spot. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Willis007 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

A nice easy puzzle. A lovely walk around here today. Quick find here. Thank you for a fun series Willis007.
We have now set up camp at the Caboolture showgrounds. We have been joined for a couple of days by pprass.
Today was the 2nd day to finish off the drum series, the puzzles had been completed prior to leaving. home. So much information learnt about drummers & drumming.
This series today we spent about half & half of the time bike riding & by car. The bike riding was by far the most enjoyable.

A team effort to solve all the caches in this series in preparation for burgo78 visiting the big smoke.
Loaded the bikes this morning and set out to log the series by car and bike.
Met some friendly muggles, saw wallabies and a turtle, rode bikes in the mud, and through fast-flowing creeks.
Easy tree climbs and some hard-to-find ones.
Wet feet and shoes all day due to plenty of water in many parks.
The Kedron brook was flowing quickly, would have been an adrenaline-packed paddle today.
Thank you Willis007 for this series and my apologies for the copy-paste logs

After a pleasant walk we moved the car around for a better place to start our bush-bashing. This was the first day in a long time that I haven’t been able to count all the pores I own by looking at the beads of sweat. I didn’t realise I had pores in my ear holes or that it was possible to look in your own ears.
I looked over at Mrs Woodyrothwell and she was wearing a light jumper so it must have almost been cold. Seeing that sometimes she needs to put on extra layers just to have a cup of hot tea I knew the weather had changed.
We started our bush walk with a find and with my nether regions not sticking to my clothes I knew it was OK to proceed. tftc

I'm unintentionally marching to a slow drum beat collecting this series. I'm picking off the ones closest to home that don't need an extended drum stick until I feel brave enough to tackle the inner north parks n gardens. I find it hard to assimilate with a better class of drunk from posher areas than what I'm use to hanging around with. Thanks for another reason to drink while I solved these puzzles Willis007.
Not too many places to look here and always a wonderful place to come and spend some time. DisSister was the one to make the find today. TFTC
My GPS really doesn’t like cloudy days so I was very thankful for the hint here which greatly assisted us to find the cache. TFTC Willis007

Out and about again with Georode to finish off the drum series. This will be our 2nd day on the geo bikes covering just over 40 km's today ( 80km in total over 2 days of cycling from home.)
I have enjoyed the challenge of solving the various puzzles thrown up by Willis007. Most of them i was able to punch my way through by myself, however a few i needed a kick in the right direction.
Today we had the relevant TOTT to collect the harder to reach caches. I feel like i pushed my way through a hundred spider webs whilst crawling in and around the trees and i must have been bitten at least 10 times by the mozzies but i loved it.
Tanks Lisa for a great series and and extra big thanks for putting it so close to my home

This was one of the caches that I had targeted today as I had 3 solved in the area around this cache. I wonder if there are more in here that I haven't solved yet. It doesn't matter as I enjoy walking around here. The "blackboys" are magnificent.
I surprised myself as I had stopped right beside the cache to check the GPS and looked down and spotted the cache.

Out for a bike ride early this morning with ruzzelz, Slow Puncture, La Kedi and DisSister. We met at Downfall Creek at 7am and spent just over 4 hours riding 17kms, and I gathered 14 smileys
Snipping Tool for the win here.
A long ride around to this one, but there's a few more nearby. There were quite a few similar spots to check here, but we soon made the find. It is well tucked away. TFTC, Willis007.

Monday. A group meet up at the Downfall Creek Bushland Centre of LaKedi, Ruzzelz, IolantheK, DisSister and Mrs Slow Puncture at 7am - turned out we rode for 5 hours today gathering some of the Drum caches that we targeted. Surprisingly this one took a few minutes to find, even with the hint as all our arrows were going all over the place. Found it tucked away nicely in it’s hidey hole.
This was the 9th of 21 caches found on this outing.
Thanks ***Willis007*** for showing us this place

I had no idea who this was... but with the help of Duck Duck Go and begrudgingly Dr Google (have I mentioned the emails I’m now getting for Drum Kits/lessons/sticks)...
I will admit I walked away from here to find another close by... I returned with new determination and made the find within 10 minutes... I did get to spot a huge goanna on the way back to the car...

WOW, I was just about to jump in a boat and the phone goes ballistic, new caches being published and it just didn’t stop. Oh the pain! I’m heading in the wrong direction for the next 6 hours. I got home and started solving puzzles and to my surprise there were still a lot to be collected and only a few of the FTF’s gone. I concentrated on a few and went with the notion that I may just get a couple from the series. I spent the night solving puzzles and made a list ready for my assault on tomorrow’s caches.
What a great little series of the caches, I found there was good variety of hides and types of containers, all required a little look around before I could make the find. Thank you for this urban geoart series, I had a good time racing and chasing caches today.
A nice puzzle and an easy find today, with log signed and cache replaced as found I was off to my next target cache.

As we worked through the mix of puzzles we knew there would be no onsite caching today.
Let the Northside FTF hounds clean up the quick, easy ones then we'll swoop in for some of the more challenging caches, those that make it past the first 24 hours.
We had a target of 18 caches on today's list, that were as yet unfound, and the adrenalin was pumping as we set off from the Darkside into the light … the bear went over the mountain, to see what we could see!

This was the first of the 63 new puzzle caches that we solved.
I started at the tail end (#63) & Mrs VC started at the head (#1) until we met somewhere in the middle then went over each other's leftovers.
GZ was within a stone's throw of the Geo-Beast and the find was a quick & easy one here where all is good.
Made our mark & replaced as found.
