A nice straightforward find here today. Took a little extra driving to find a turn around spot with the van, but got one soon enough. We're heading to King Island, via Mallacoota and lakes entrance towards Melbourne. An atlas mapping challenge directing our way towards our waiting plane. Flinders Island, some mainland Tassie, before our target, King Island... our last cachable LGA in Australia!Having been caching for years on our LGAs, sacada and myself teamed up six months ago to tackle the hard ones, then as it happened, all of those that remained. We now are making our way to the last, Flinders for sacada, then King for us both. Its been quite a journey!
Off to Tasmania to get Flinders Island LGA and finally the last LGA for AU at King Island. TFTC.A detour trip towards Melbourne to collect all the Victoria Atlas pages for a challenge.Today was Canberra to Bombala to Cann River and then camping on the beach at Mallacoota.Nice quick find once I found a spot to turn the caravan around.
Quick find on our way back to Cooma from a birthday horse riding lesson for Miss 7 in Cathcart. TFTC
I didn't check the hint. Looking at the ground first, just as I thought is it maybe a bison I looked up and there it was. TFTC
On our way home from Canberra, we are having a leisurely day of travel, picking up caches along this road which we don't often use. Thanks for maintaining this for our pleasure, SJG66 and 0319.
After visiting some friends in Morwell, VIC, it was time to jump back in the geomobile and head back to Canberra for the Mega event. I have driven past this cache sooo many times but this time I decided it was time to get a smiley face on it. With KBKL and Sixpak69 joining me for the Morwell trip and the Canberra Mega, we made quick work locating this one, signing it and replacing it as found. Thanks for the cache placement SJG66 and for giving us a reason to stop
Found It!An interesting little drive along the old road today. Spotted this one after a bit of searching through the bushes.TFTC
frmen1's turn to be navigator. He chose to take this road & explore the area. A quick find. TFTC
Enjoyed doing this small series with tassie expat, getting off the main road. Took a couple of minutes but once I did I couldn't unsee it. Thanks.
After camping at Tantangra for a few nights (having to move camp at the end due to high winds) it was time to move onward to Bermagui for the rest of our annual fishing trip. Grabbed a few more caches along the way. Walked past this one, turned around and there it was.TFTC!
First day of our geo adventure holiday, ticking off places we drive past on our way somewhere, but never just stopping to explore
Well, this holiday is all about taking the time to see some of the amazing gems that you find while geocaching
Nice easy find Tftc

I spotted this cache quicker than I expected. The colour was why. Log is damp and it was a bit tricky to sign, so I only signed GW. Could do with a CO visit. TFTC SJG66 and O319.
A rainy day and s change of plans, dido caching.
Waa afraid that I would get really soaked here but it was a quick find

The final cache on this road for us, as we were headed coastal so did it in reverse!
A nice easy one to finish off the trifecta and beautiful drive!
Thanks

**Day 1:**
The first day of a 3 day weekend travelling from Canberra - Bega Valley Shire to attempt the "VB" cache series & many other fantastic hides!
Myself and sebass19 left Canberra bright and early, and made our way leisurely down to the coast! Lots of great caches both on the way & at the destination before we called it a night to prepare for the big day of VB caches to come!

I managed three different caching activities today. First was the event to get the Parkway bridge cache. Next I headed up to do the remaining Isaacs Ridge caches from the Northern end. After lunch I headed down to Nimitabel collecting caches in Numeralla and Cooma along the way. It was a long day but a huge sense of achievement.
Before stopping for the night I visited the four caches around town I had not done, and the three along old Bombala Rd.
Thanks for the cache SJG66

Fitzy_1965 and I could not pass up the opportunity to catch up with dghoffy so when we saw they were holding Community Celebration Event, we jumped at the chance.
We headed to the far south coast on Friday afternoon, arriving in good time and with plenty of time for a nice chat into the late evening. It had been more than two years of catching up.
After a hectic day yesterday, we enjoyed a bit of a sleep in before it was time to head home (caching along the way, of course). We headed up to Tathra first so we could catch up with my boss who is currently there on holidays and could resist a waffle from Wapengo Waffle van.
Thanks to all the CO’s for placing and maintaining their hides. We note that this log was a bit mouldy.

26,625. Found this neat cache with minniek on the way home.
We don't need much of an excuse to do a trip down to the Merimbula / Tura Beach / Pambula region. When we saw that dghoffy had published their Community Celebration Event it was a given that we would go. We booked in to our favourite AirB&B in Tura Beach, and ventured down Friday evening. After yesterday attending the CCE event, doing the nearby Adventure Lab, filling some gaps in the VB series, and attending the yummy Fish and Chip event last night, we started heading home this morning, and found this cache along the way. A quick find by minniek. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then continued on towards home.
Thanks SJG66 and O319 !!

Nice little spot. it's a tad damp but it's raining today so we couldn't air it out for you.
My eyes had a hard time, but eventually one of the geokiddies saw it right in front of his face. TFTC. A little damp, signed the best I could.
A quick find, just before having lunch in Nimmitabel. OCW MaxAdventurer. TFTC SJG66
Having to do a delivery to New South Wales we thought that we would take the opportunity to take a more scenic route and grab a few caches along the way.
Not having a lot of time we were trying to concentrate on ones that were close to the road and this one fitted the bill.
This was a great opportunity to get off the main road to do this little series of caches and we are really pleased that we did as we got to admire the scenery in three different but lovely spots. It would have been an interesting road in a truck in it's day especially hauling in and out of the meat works,
The three caches were all found with no problems and we have added our name to each of the log books.
Many thanks SJG66 & 03019 for setting this up especially the one at the meat works. We are sure that it would have been very interesting to see it working in it's heyday.

Found with The Matetrix, geokid2 and 3. A quick find on the way down to Pambula for a family vacation. Raining most of the journey it was a quick detour from the main road. TNLNSL TFTC
A drive from Bega to Jindabyne today. Lots of country roads with great views and nice little towns. Also a cracker of a day with sun and blue skies.

doing this in reverse but this one took a bit more to figure just where it was but got it !
thanks for the side trip.. now back on the road.
heading down the coast from Canberra, and as I wasn't in a hurry pick up some caches enroute.

After missing a FTF yesterday, we just couldn't resist a mini detour on the way home. These 3 caches were very enticing. A little unsure if road was going to be ok towing a van but just got to do these things to get the goods. Woohoo [FTF] nice empty logbook at the third, we realise we have done them back to front but all worked out fine. This one took a little searching before just the right angle was found. Thanks for placing
